We came across this diner and WOW the service was great, food was hot and they even ask if you want a coffee to go. I would strongly recommend this diner!!
This is my favorite Nellie Rose by far! Cute diner style and food was fabulous!
Love this diner 🙂 I was caught up looking at everything on the walls from Elvis to old time flyers/plaques. It wasn't wicked busy when we went on Monday. I had time before my evening shift and was craving breakfast. I got the cranberry walnut French toast, along with corn bread toast and a greek omelet. I swapped out the feta for regular American cheese because I wasn't sure how cooked feta would taste. The meal was amazing 😋 I've come here twice now and can't wait to go back. I of course had to color while I was there and there were kid games on the reverse of the dinner mat.
Nellie Rose Diner is great! Awesome food, and great staff. Their philly cheese steak is one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten, I highly recommend trying it.
This is a 50s themed breakfast/lunch spot. It has a very friendly atmosphere. The waitresses/cooks are great, not a long wait, very respectful, orders always made exactly how ordered. Very clean place. I always look forward to Saturdays having brkfst at Nellie Rose 🌹 Ty to all the GREAT employees!!! YOU ROCK!!!!
Love it, been there 2x's in the last couple weeks. Will be back! It's a 25 minute ride but worth it
I love Nellie Rose!! The grilled corn bread is amazing!! Try it, you won't regret it!!
Wonderful place!! I would usually stop at Dunkin Donuts before heading to work and pay rediculous money for coffee and a sandwich. Not longer do that. Sure beats Dunkin Donuts. A good healthy breakfast and is so much less money then any Donut shop. ♥️
It's the best breakfast place around! They just replaced all the booths which seat 6 per table now! The older booths sunk you in more and only sat 4 per table, so I think the improvements are awesome! The food, service, and atmosphere are amazing! They have the best omelets, tater tots, breakfast tacos, and raisins toast around! And the staff are all amazing! They keep your cup of coffee full and hot! My only suggestion is your safe arriving here on the earlier side in the mornings. I'd say between 7am-9:30am, after that it gets pretty busy. Nellie Rose Freetown is my favorite breakfast place! Thank you guys, keep it up!!
Great food!! Love the French toast. Nice to have a variety of coffee flavors. My mom enjoys music and decor.
Large menu plus several specials. 6 different benedicts-hard to choose. Crab cake Benedict was excellent, steak tips and eggs was delicious! Lots of food. Not a huge dining room but was able to get a booth on a Saturday at 9am with no wait. Wait staff was wonderful, coffee was good. Cute place!
Was in the area and Google maps had it show up with other places. Was extremely happy we selected to go here. This place is an experience. 50s theme everywhere, great food, great staff. It was my birthday and they all sang happy birthday to me. It was also a staff member's birthday so they also got a happy birthday sung. They brought me a muffin with a candle on it as well. Very very pleased with Nellie's.
Had a Greek omlet that was loaded with feta cheese, spinach, tomato and black olives. It came with your choice of home fries or hash browns and toast (got marbled rye). I believe it's a three egg omelet but seemed more like 4 or 5. Pricey? Take into the state of the economy and the fact that it costs more to deliver the items a restaurant needs to exist. Existing is not why someone opens a business! They open a business to make money so the price confirms with the state of this lousy economy. Will definitely go again and recommend trying this place of you enjoy a good clean breakfast!
I love this place! Service is top notch, food is great! Gotta love the 50's vibe. The only reason I didn't give the food 5 stars was they changed the way they make their omelettes. They used to be the fluffiest, golden yellow omelettes and now because of their new grill, they're just like any other omelette from any breakfast place. Food is still great, but those omelettes were the main reason I used to go there.
We arrived on a busy Sunday morning. We were told the wait would be about 20 minutes, and it was. I ordered the Hungry Man breakfast and I guess I wasn't hungry enough because I only ate 1 blueberry pancake. My eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon wasn't too crispy and the sausages were delicious. The home fries tasted like chirico. I don't use a lot of salt, so they seemed salty to me, but still good. The waitress was attentive, the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. The food didn't take long to get to our table. All and all, a great place fir breakfast. My only criticism would be that the floor was way over due for mopping. Leave it to me to notice.
