This place is so yummy. Their soup is tasty and fresh, and their prices are amazing. I always get the wonton noodle soup with everything on it. My husband ordered the fried fish and chow mein and he liked it as well. I've yet to try the other items but I will come back and try. It gets busy during lunch time so come early. The service is great as well, btw. Friendly and always quick.
Omg there pork fried rice is the bomb number 1 in my book
No frills place with hella good food. The fiance says it would be a solid hangover spot for the wonton noodle soups!
I am salivating as I am typing this. OK, I admit it, I'm drooling all over my keyboard. Why? Because I am trying to relive the moments when I was slurping the savory broth from my bowl of Hor Fun (#1). I can still remember the feeling of the broth swirling in my mouth before making its way down my throat. I don't know other words worthy of describing the moments. If that was what heaven was like, then I don't want to be reborn. OK, back to reality. The portion was excellent. The mixture of bean sprouts, ground pork, fish cake, etc looked really good and tasted even better! I think more ground pork would be appreciated, but I understand in terms of food portion, they have to balance cost, taste, look, and volume. Can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu.
I love this pace and eat here once a week. The BBQ pork and their string beans are my favorite. Highly recommend 👌
One of my coworkers recommended this place as the best Chinese food in all of Fremont (and he lived here for 8+ years) Ordered the chili basil chicken for myself and the wonton soup for my girlfriend as a takeout order and we were both extremely happy! She went to pick it up and the girl who gave her our order was super friendly and sweet. The food was already good as is, and the added jalapeños and chili sauce made it all the more tastier.
I've been here a couple of times and this is seriously one of the best noodle places. I almost didn't want to write a review because of how slammed it already gets but it's worth the wait. They're definitely worth checking out. Salt and pepper pork is to die for and the chef special noodle soup(comes with no topping, green onion is included, 6 wonton and duck) is my go to.
This place is a gem! My favorite thing to get here is their noodle soup because the homemade broth and wontons are just too good -- you can tell the ingredients are fresh and quality. You can also tell they put a lot of work into their homemade fix-ins and drinks, which absolutely set off the meal. They make ordering online really easy (almost too easy) and they package takeout well.
Below is my original review from about 6 years ago. it did not give it justice. This place is excellent, and we have never found a noodle place as great. It has great variety as well as flavor. We have since moved out of the Fremont area, and whenever we go through town, it is always the first food option for us. Staff is always friendly and helpful. It is soooo much food, that we often share, or have leftovers. ********* I was debating between 4 and 5, but went 5 because wait staff (James) was very helpful in our decision. First time here. Lots of choices, lots of food! Other Asians in the place helped us confirm it's authenticity.
Great food and customer service. I flew in this afternoon and after reading the reviews tried it out for lunch. It was so good I came back for dinner. The soup with dumplings is just amazing. I had the Mongolian beef for dinner and it reminded me of the great meals I had in Singapore just the month before. Do yourself a favor and try it out. You will not be disappointed!
I hate ordering from an ipad or using a QR code, but will break that personal rule for this restaurant. Noodles are hella good.
We don't live in the Bay any more but a 100+ mile drive is worth it for their noodle soups and oeking spareribs!
We had the Ultimate and it was! Delicious. The broth was full of flavor; there was a lot of noodles, duck, chicken, char sui etc. We should have split it, had so rnuch leftovers, it lasted for 2 more days. I strongly recommend this restaurant. Bring your appetite. Good customer service as well.
Teo Chow Noodle Shack is probably the BEST Chinese restaurant in the Bay Area. The staff is super friendly. They give you options to customize your soup to your liking.... perfect for the picky eater I am!! I've become a weekly "regular" when I am not travelling for work... TC is for sure one of the meals I look forward to most on my flights back to the bay. If you are in the area be sure to stop in and give this place a try.... you won't be disappointed!
Like the other reviews have said, the quantity and quality of the noodles here for the price is absolutely amazing. Will definitely return if craving noodles. Interior can use a little updating though but 5 stars for food.
I dinned here a week ago with a few friends. I got to be honest but I was very skeptical of the food being Americanized but all I was very wrong. I got to meet the owners of the business. They are brother and sister. Super nice people and I told them that the food is super legit and reminds me of food from Hong Kong. Highly recommend anyone wanting some good authentic Chinese food.
Affordable and delicious. The Chef's Special noodle bowl comes with dumplings and duck. You can get a plethora of toppings for less than $10 total! The broth is clean and flavorful. I usually go with the rice ho fun noodles. Sauce bar means you can customize your noodles. Service is fast and friendly. Definitely a hole in the wall, but perfect for a quick lunch.
Noodles is one of my favorite foods in this whole planet if not my favorite. Whenever I crave noodles, soup or fried, I come here! They have a build your own noodle soup/fried noodle option so you can craft your perfect dish! I also discovered their delicious rice dishes as well. What sets them apart is the ability for you to choose what you want in your dish. It's also cheap and they give a large portion! 😊 The staff here is really friendly and their service is quick. There's also a sauce bar so you can mix and create your own sauce. There is a couple of tables for dining in but I usually prefer takeout since it's conveniently located by the 880 freeway.
Stopped here for a quick lunch with a friend, and have to say it was excellent. The noodles were great, soup broth excellent, and duck was flavourful and very tender. I've been looking for places that do great wonton soup and duck and looks live I've found one! I'll be back here for sure 😊 I've heard you can also order a whole duck to take home, same with their wontons and soup - so you could have it at home which sounds like a great idea! Their iced tea was very nice too actually, I don't usually go for iced tea but this was a good one, and I'd order it again.
I've eaten at so many Chinese food places, this one made me pause and go, oh damn, this taste so good! About 1.5-2x more delicious than Panda and ur general Chinese restaurant. It has an open kitchen, so you know it's made fresh as well. Lunch special is $15.99 which is more than other places, however it is worth it cos they give a lot more meat. Lunch is hella busy tho, it is next to Tesla and some tech companies so order ahead. Highly recommend their wonton soup, general chicken, Mongolian beef and bbq pork. Most dishes is mild spicy default, but you can get no spice.
Nice little place for a quick bite that isn't fast food. Can't go wrong with a rice or noodle dish. Service was quick even at peak lunch rush hour. Staff is friendly. Photos are of the combo noddles and general tsaos Chicken.
I don’t usually leave reviews but Teo Chow was actually one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve gone to in the Bay Area. The broth was so flavourful and delicious. The portion size was awesome - I’m so used to getting a couple of tiny pieces of duck that are mostly bones at so many restaurants but they did not skimp out on the duck! The duck was meaty and tasty and the wontons were delicious - I had to buy a pack to take home for myself! Then the service was amazing - the girls at the counter were very friendly and kind. Will definitely be going regularly!
I was in Fremont for a week taking a class, and this place was just down the street from my hotel. I'm so glad I decided to come here. The food was delicious and the place gave me island vibes. Definitely stopping by whenever I'm back in town.
They had veggie base soup and some fair amount of veggies with it. I got the rice noodle with vegetables. Definitely got to add chili oil to take the spice level up a notch. Great food.
OmG .. when I saw somebody else eating this food at the dealership down the street I asked where'd you get that from I could tell just by looking at it, it was tasty and fresh... When you walk into Tea Chow noodle shack there are two registers that you can order by yourself or the cashier can help you out.. while walking in I noticed you can deliver through caviar GrubHub or ubereats which is great for someone wants to stay home The wait was pretty much 10 to 15 minutes but again everything is made fresh they said that sometimes I get busy during lunch time but it was fine when I came in their food is delicious tasty fresh is not greasy over-seasoned or under season I would definitely recommend this to anybody who wants a real good home cooking Loved it and I'll be back for more...
Great place for lunch, wide variety of foods, but they specialize in noodle dishes. Don't miss the daily chef specials. Clean, friendly staff, fast service, and good prices. Large portions of great soup, I usually get it to go and they separate the noodles and ingredients from the soup. I go here regularly when I'm craving some good noodles for lunch.
If you want good food without a lot of fluff, go here. Parking is convenient, staff is always friendly, and try everything on the menu. My two go-to items is the wonton noodles with everything and the combo yi-mein, but just grabbed to-go food for dinner for the fam tonight trying the tofu with eggplant and beef chow fun, and they were great also. I remember when they first opened 10 years ago when I purposely found excuses to exit there, and now I work 2 blocks away. Good people and good food...great combo! **update: went for lunch today (9/11/23) and wasn't disappointed. Able to get seated almost immediately (maybe got lucky) and food came in a decent time. Still highly recommend!
Self served. A variety of decent noodles. Good price. The service is very nice!
Excellent taste of the roasted duck. Its their specialty. I highly recommend.

Still great food from 9 years ago. Great service too!
Self served. A variety of decent noodles. Good price. The service is very nice!
Truly a delight, a bit Woke decor wise, lol, but phenomenal Won Ton Soup with Chicken, super bubbly staff, freshly prepared, clean, quick and everyone eats together almost like old style Euro spots.. Mostly Asian clientele prices it is legit Duck Fried Rice would make Gordon Ramsay giggle. Now gonna be a regular. Great rival to Home Eats, more hipster homespun ..
service. Everything is excellent. My ultimate bowl with chow men big yellow noodles was always a perfect comfort food. The BBQ pork fried rice is another winner for me.

Good flavor, good price. My order was a little salty for me so I asked for a side of plain noodles to mix into my original order. Multiple staff showed their concern to meet my standards and offered multiple solutions so I could enjoy my meal the way I wanted it. I'm not a review writer but since they were so touching and I don't have much else to do this next hour, I decided to write this review. Thank you teo chow crew for your genuine efforts!
By far one of the better Taiwanese noodle shacks in the Bay. It's cheap ($8.95), includes a good variety of meat and noodle, and it's consistent. I honestly never thought too much about this place until I had crappy wonton soup at another spot where they replace noodles with cabbage. You get a great value along with great taste.
They consistently make pretty good food here. Can't go wrong with the chow ho fun or the soup. They've unfortunately raised prices a couple of times. Prices are still reasonable, but isn't the deal it used to be. They unfortunately charge 50 cents for take out as well. Not really a big deal...I just don't like the principal of it.
Loved the spicy fried fish! It was crispy and spicy. Also loved the honey walnut shrimp! Shrimp were cooked perfectly. Unfortunately the fried rice and noodles were a bit bland for my liking. Will definitely be back to try other dishes.
Came here for lunch with my son. When you first come in there are two kiosks where you can order your food and pay. You will also get the option to note a table where you will be when your food is ready or you can specify take out. The won ton soup was so so and won tons were not great! Maybe I caught them on a bad day but I was slightly disappointed since I saw so many good reviews online. I will try give them another try on a different day
I really like the wide noodles, which are not sold at most noodle restaurants close by. The pork/chicken base soup is great!

This place mainly known for it’s noodles. I go here for noodles - combination with roasted duck. The food is quite decent. It has never failed me.

Ultimate bowl with lot of ingredients, Hi it's delicious except the duck meat, it's soi hard to chew, three stars because their price increased from $9.90 to $11.80, that's almost 20% Salt and pepper chicken wings, 5 for $5. It's yummy. I like their stir fry hofun with shrimps too. Service still good as usual.
The food was so-so, nothing to brag about it. Sitting spaces are tight and noisy all around. Hard to find a parking spaces.
Not a complaint since I understand the plethora of companies nearby with employees that take lunch breaks around the same time, but the lines are usually very long from 11:30-1:30. We haven't had much of an issue getting a table by the time our food arrives though. My boyfriend and I always split one bowl/plate and are well fed by the end. It's okay but not completely amazing. We had the Ultimate Bowl with all the toppings and due to the rush, it seems they forgot the shrimp and fish balls, but we didn't know until the next time we saw another bowl brimming with toppings. The next time, we ordered the salt and pepper ribs with chow mein. Noodles were thick and delicious, a little greasy but not excessively so. I liked the taste, whereas he liked the fact that unlike Panda Express's, there weren't vegetables breaking up the texture .___. Actually, there weren't many vegetables at all in the meal, but oh well. The salt and pepper ribs...weren't too great. I didn't expect them to be fried, but the issue was they were mostly bone rather than meat. I know there are bones in ribs, but not only so. They were also a little spicy and chewy.
I think this place got the good review only because it's one of the handful options for nearby employee having lunch. No one would come here on weekend and they know it so they are closed on weekend. Big red flag. I live nearby and came here, got a $20 Wonton soup. It has 3 piece of wonton, and 4 piece of duck meat with bones. lol.
Came for lunch for the roast duck noodle soup. For some reasons, I was served with leftover boney meatless no one cares for roast duck they seem careless about what to serve. What a disappointment.

I asked for noodle soup no pork. So they informed they can do it chicken broth only no pork. I get the noodle made with water only. I am glade they didn’t use their regular chicken and pork broth. But I will be more happy if they said we don’t offer soup without pork so I can choose anything else. Left without eating. Don’t listen to them if they say we will make you without pork!
The price of food is expensive. If you buy an entree or aka their “special” then it comes with rice only, not even few pieces of vegetables. I asked for mixed veggies, they charge $2 and they didn’t give me the rice that comes with the special spare ribs. They just told me I replaced it with the vegetables. That’s cheap to me. If someone wants to pay you for vegetables they should get it in addition to the rice. Didn’t ask to substitute our and charge more. Wasn’t even made aware it’s substituted
