I never write reviews, but a few days ago I ordered food from that restaurant and I'm in love with it. The quality is incredible, I'll definitely be ordering again.

Very pricey. Food quality is good, but the wagy beef is very thinly sliced which makes it easy to cook, but I don't think they give enough portion for what you're paying for. Overall the food is good but just wish the portions were a little bit larger.

Toro Sushi Stone Grill & Bar in Fremont is a fun and flavorful spot if you’re into a mix of sushi and interactive grilling. The space feels roomy with a modern yet casual vibe, and you can go traditional with fresh sushi or opt for the stone-grill experience where meats like Wagyu and kalbi cook right at your table. I loved trying a few sushi rolls and the wagyu — the grill part adds a playful twist to dinner, and the service is friendly and attentive, making the whole meal feel relaxed and enjoyable. The drinks are solid, too, which makes it a great spot for a casual night out with friends or family. Heads-up: the grill aroma can be noticeable inside, so it’s not the quietest sushi experience, but that lively atmosphere grew on me by the end of the night.

This Japanese restaurant is located at the Pacific Commons Shopping Center. The interior was amazing, they have a sushi bar, and tables, and even separate tables in a room good for karaoke. Tthe music played are all my favorite! By the time I entered the place they were playing one of my favorite 90s anime, and then succeeded by all the anime and game music I like as well. This is an unplanned visit as I only want to use the restroom and then order whatever. The lady at the front desk was hesitant when I asked if we could eat outside. I wish I could inside but we had a situation. We had to dine outside as my special needs daughter won't leave the swing outside. I am glad everything went well and the swing and the ice cream helped my daughter a lot. Without thinking and just rushing, I ordered what I saw first on the menu, I had the Lion King roll and my daughter had the coppa crema pistachio ice cream. Both are good and okay customer service. I want to come back again and try their Wagyu beef and dine inside.

I loved this sushi restaurant that also includes a Korean BBQ. We tried many plates of sushi and all were excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. Add this to your list if you like sushi.

Really lovely dining experience and exceptional service. Japanese "cook it yourself" style and enjoy the theatre of food. What's not to love. Very high quality ingredients too. My only minor gripe was the extractor fans above each table don't really do much. The griddle fumes from each table are powerful. At your own table, they do become an annoyance. I had a shower when I got back!

Great selection of food. Popular and lively. Not a quiet place if you expect a more traditional Japanese restaurant setup. Definitely worth it for quality food in the industrial area.

Food was delicious and are made of quality ingredients. Didn't feel sick after eating all the meat and sushi like you would other bbq restaurants. Worth the price. Wish our table was bigger for what we ordered 🤭 Enjoyed great company over great food. Would definitely come back.

Very cool establishment, with a very wide set of options on the menu. If you have someone in your party that is not enthusiastic about sushi, they would still be able to find something great to eat from the menu. Superb, fast service. In fact, almost too fast, our group was expecting to wait longer and socialize more. 😅 Overall - solid place for dinner, we would come back again for sure. I highly recommend salmon teriyaki. King California roll was excellent too!

Oh MY GOD!!!! It's the best place in Bay Area ! We were here once and we liked it so much that we are coming back here again for the third time! We drive 40 minutes to enjoy incredibly delicious food and excellent service again! My boyfriend and I fell in love with this place because: 1. They know how to make very tasty sushi and rolls. 2. You can order and ear rolls and grill meat at the same time. 3. The products are always very fresh. 4. They have very tasty cocktails. 5. And the specialty of this restaurant is the service - very fast and friendly. We felt like guests who are very welcome. We were very lucky that Nathan served our table again. He gave excellent recommendations and was very kind. Now we will come to the restaurant and ask for his service. Ask for Nathan if you want your visit to be amazing ✌️☺️🔥🔥🔥

I met a friend for lunch here on a weekend. We arrived right at opening, 11:30 am, and it wasn't crowded at all, making it easy to get a table. Located in the expansive Pacific Commons center off Auto Mall Parkway, there's ample parking available. The restaurant's decor is quite elegant, and I noticed several private rooms, likely suitable for small events or meetings. My sushi was delicious and very fresh. However, the vegetable tempura was a bit overcooked in some pieces and wasn't particularly exciting; I'd probably skip it next time. My friend ordered the salmon appetizer, which they described as just okay. I enjoyed the sushi rolls I chose. The service was professional, and the staff was attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed.

Toro Sushi Stone Grill and Bar was an amazing dining experience. The sushi was excellent. The drinks were great. The atmosphere was incredible. Everything was super fresh, and nothing took long to come out. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I look forward to my next visit to this restaurant. Toro had good reviews, and it did not disappoint. The price was a surprise as it was not very expensive. I highly recommend Toro for anyone looking for great sushi with excellent service.

Toro Sushi Stone Grill & Bar is my absolute go-to spot whenever I’m craving sushi. The food here is not only a treat for the palate but for the eyes as well. Every dish is beautifully presented, making it feel like a fine dining experience. What really sets Toro apart for me is the sushi rolls – specifically the rice. It’s perfectly balanced with the fish, and the rice layer is noticeably thinner than at other sushi spots, allowing the freshness of the ingredients to truly shine. The quality of the fish is always top-notch, and the flavors are so well-balanced. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, making it the ideal place for both casual meals and special occasions. If you're a sushi lover, Toro is a must-try, and definitely my top recommendation.

Dine here for Sunday lunch. Atmosphere was modern, clean, comfortable. Noise level was moderate but still ok. Service was friendly and fast. Food was ok. 1. Salmon with baked rice was yummy. 2. Stay away from Teriyaki chicken, as it was DRY. 3. Ribeye was well done even though i asked for med rare. Flavor was good though. 4. Spider roll was pretty good.

The service at this location was really good our server took excellent care of us. The sushi was good just not as flavorful as I would have liked. We were there in the evening and in between the lighting and groups of people the atmosphere was a little off.

Ah, my old stomping grounds. I remember back when this place used to be Kaenyama that turned into a nightclub Friday and Saturday nights. Now that Toro Sushi Stone Grill & Bar has taken over, you can still find good ol 'sushi and Japanese food here, but a portion of the restaurant also offers stone grilling. You can still order sushi at the grill tables and both menus have a good amount of choices, so you're bound to find something you like! * Wagyu Sampler C * Hamachi Kama * Ika Yaki (grilled squid) * Dancing Unagi Roll

Great cocktail selection few cocktails and good sushi. I only eat cooked rolls so might be biased but my friend ordered the California roll and she was really impressed as well. I would definitely recommend and the vibe is great for a nice evening dinner and it has limited outdoor seating as well for good weather days.

Very good ambiance, although beware that since they are both a sushi and a grill establishment, it smells like grill inside, which is not your typical sushi experience. That said, it does offer plenty of options and the dish presentations are well made. The food tastes good, and it's a bit on the medium/high price, but not an unfair deal considering they offer a spacious and comfortable environment.

Went here for udon, but the prices were frighteningly high. Appetizers here cost as much as double hamburgers at in-and-out. Portion sizes are decent for their cost. Indoor contained big televisions playing sports on mute, but didn't have captions.

The food here was neither good or bad but definitely overpriced for what it is. The chirashi selection was decent but the rice tasted like regular rice and not sushi rice. The scallops in my bento box was perfectly cooked though so positive points on that. Overall, there are tons of Japanese options around which for sure will be better. I just don't eat at Fremont a lot so I don't have recommendations but skip this restaurant.

Food: a) Sushi lack of freshness and taste. I ordered omakase and all of them has no taste and taste the same. The texture is so dead. Even some fish supposed to have firm texture and it is definitely a very dead fish. b) Kids orders seafood Udon soup. The noodle supermarket quality, seafood again no taste. I had frozen seafood shrimp before and they have taste. And the soup tasteless. My kids don't usually complain. Even they said the soup has no taste. It actually has a tap water taste. C) The decorations on my omakase plate is so bad. Get this plastic thing out. I don't even know if they are clean or wash each time. A read Japanese chef would not put that thing on it. It is a eye sore. Service: I don't know if they ever train their server. Never served people across the table. This guy hand the soup action the table and drop some soup on the table and on my kids napkin. Luckily it is not too hot and miss my kid. He constantly pass my food across the table. Is it that hard to walk around and place down my food on my table in front of me. It is a full service restaurant and not a fast food chain. Atmosphere: it is a bar and they try to look upscale. It is not a bad place for friends to hand out and chat. Just don't order sushi and any soup. Stick with Fry food .

Having not gone to Toro’s since before the pandemic… I decided to give it another try, in turn because of my dad’s birthday. The atmosphere on a Wednesday night wasn’t too busy, so I did not find it surprising that there wasn’t a lot of people this time around. Here’s my take on this time’s experience: Food: 3/5 - We got their Combo C for the stone grill — and honestly, I’d say the meat was actually pretty tender considering the portions we got! For its price, I would say it’s worth it. - Sashimi Platter — this one was meh. Even though I loved the design of the bowl and the nitro fountain giving us its delicacy, the lackluster amount of the variety of fish really left me disappointed. The sashimi was fresh, but I was disappointed in the fact that there were only four types of sashimi to choose from for a three-person portion. - Side dishes: some were a hit, some just didn’t have that red “gochujang” slight kick most Asian side dishes would have. The kimchi and cucumber both tasted really bland, and did not have enough seasoning. The only one that took my breath away was the radish — which had enough oomph and acidity to it. - Avocado & Sashimi Salad — I liked the dressing that was spread across but it was a little too less. The proportion of the fish was not enough, and because of it, it tasted really bland. Service: 2.5/5 Upon our arrival we were greeted by the staff — who honestly looked nice, but also it looked like some waitresses didn’t want to be there. It really turned me off because it didn’t show professionalism, neither did it show care. Call me a hard critic, but as a matter of fact, it just didn’t feel like the Toro I used to go to. We had to request for a lot of things: wasabi, water, and even the basic service like asking to take our order. These are most common sense things most waiters and waitresses would look upon when serving patrons. We couldn’t even understand half of the time what the servers were telling us — either they spoke too fast, or they couldn’t understand us at all. However, one of the waiters rose up to the occasion and actually checked up on us quite often, meeting our requests and even gave us a lot more than what we expected. Atmosphere: 4/5 Overall, the atmosphere felt okay. It wasn’t too light, but it also wasn’t too dark either. I wouldn’t be able to say much anyways because of how compact the restaurant looked, but also it was because of the fact that we were seated near the very end of the restaurant. Overall, with the price and everything I don’t know if I’d be able to come back again…. Neither do I want to come back. Maybe on special occasions but even then this place should consider their prices.

Too expensive. We ordered a tamarind cocktail. There was no alcohol in it. Cocktail was around $14. I was very disappointed. Upon asking the waiter there was no answer. Food was not bad. But very expensive drinks which had no alcohol.
