Tip: Try the malai boti and lamb chops. If you don't like fried food, order the chicken boti roll with naan instead of the fried version.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for authentic Pakistani BBQ in the Bay Area. The food and ambiance were both excellent, creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. While the setup is mostly self-service, it was straightforward and efficient. The chicken malai kebab and beef bihari were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The highlight, however, was the falooda—it was incredibly refreshing and the perfect way to end the meal. Overall, this is easily one of the best places for Pakistani kebabs in the Bay Area. Highly recommend it for anyone craving authentic flavors!
First impressions are very nice. The place is spotless, and the food is cooked to perfection! The chai is hard to miss. It is warm and nice on a cold day. Overall, this experience is a 5 star. I would come here in the future. I’m done. Very nice service😀
A must-visit place if you like grilled chicken. The Malai Boti chicken Kabab is amazing. Also, try their masala fries and do ask for extra masala The place is clean, with a visible kitchen, and there is ample parking.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down the best Pakistani food I’ve had. The kebabs were juicy, flavorful, and perfectly grilled, and the naan was fresh, soft, and delicious. Everything tasted authentic and well prepared, with great attention to quality. To top it off, the chai was excellent—easily the best chai I’ve had at any restaurant in the USA even offering me an extra tandoori leg, which really made the experience special. Great food, great service, and an overall outstanding experience. Highly recommended!
Aziz the manager provided great service and made sure the food is of high quality. We ordered lamb chops, chicken malai boti, chicken tikka and parathas. Everything was delicious but the stand out was malai boti and lamb chops. Last few times were subpar but this time the food standard was much higher. Would come back!
Bundoo Khan serves, hands down, some of the best Pakistani kebabs in town. The beef kebabs - Behari Boti in particular - are outstanding; perfectly seasoned, smoky, and cooked just right. What I really appreciate is how intentionally simple the menu is. It’s limited, almost refreshingly so, which clearly allows the kitchen to focus on doing a few things exceptionally well rather than many things average. And it shows in the quality. If you’re craving authentic, no-nonsense kebabs where flavor is the priority, Bundoo Khan is absolutely worth a visit.
Great halal restaurant. This is a bigger location compared to the Fullerton, CA location and it has better parking. My favorite items I usually like to get are: Garlic naan Chicken malai boti Beef bihari boti Desi omelette Chicken malai boti or beef bihari boti roll (substitute the paratha (because it's too oily) with a garlic naan) Signature chicken tikka Okay items which I won't be getting again (flavor needs improvement): Masala fries (not like the fries in Pakistan) Karachi fries All the kabobs they offer Puris (this fried flat bread is just too oily and it hurts my stomach.) Definitely not getting their chai. That dood pati chai is poison for my stomach. It's boiling all day in those chai containers and every time I've gone there and gotten chai, it's messed up my stomach afterwards.
FULL INSPECTION: Bundoo Khan – California Edition Tayst Approved. On Your Ass Accordingly. Man, listen… I don’t know what kind of secret spell they put in that green sauce, but that joint be hittin’ like it owe me money. Every dip felt personal. The chicken? Yeah, that was sliding. Juicy, seasoned, grilled right — no chewy weirdness, no dry patches, just straight respect on the grill. Now that bread… it was cool, but I’ma keep it honest — Momin mama’s bread clears this by a mile. Hers got that softness, that love, that “baby, eat” energy. This one was like, “Here you go, sir.” Still good, but it ain’t touching home-cooked greatness. That dessert they gave me with the nuts on top? Yeah, that was bussin’ too. Smooth, sweet, warm… felt like somebody auntie stirred that with her elbow. Overall? Solid stop. California fed me right. The food tour continues — and every state getting inspected. We on your ass accordingly. #TaystApproved #FullInspection #OnYourAssAccordingly #FoodTour2025 #Tayst615
I had the pleasure of visiting Bundoo Khan over the weekend, and it did not miss! I ordered the malai boti and chicken boti — both were cooked perfectly. The malai boti was tender and melted apart effortlessly, and the chicken boti had that perfect char and flavor. We also ordered the kids’ meal with chicken strips and fries — and wow, they give a generous portion of fries! One thing I absolutely loved was the Raita dispenser — genius idea! And of course, the chai was a classic finish to the meal. Definitely coming back again soon!
The food was delicious especially the lamb chops, chicken boti roll (with naan as I’m not a big fan of the original fried version), onlette and gajar ka halwa. Didn’t like the fish as much as I liked the other items. The gajar halwa is a must try. Love the friendly atmosphere and the fact that they are open until 1 am on Saturdays!
Food is always good here. I have been here more than 10 times and it always tastes good. The service is opposite. You can count on them to make a mistake every time. Somehow they will always give me wrong order every time. Its annoying when we go with friends and family and then have to do back and forth with them. But the food does make up for this. If you are craving kabob, this is the spot!
One of the best kebabs I’ve ever had in the Bay Area. Strong flavor profiles and you can tell that each kebab was made fresh to order. The only thing that could make this place more inclusive is if they had more vegetarian options. Like if they had some paneer kebab skewers. But you can tell that they specialize in meat and do it really well. Must try: Chicken gola kebab Chicken Malai boti sizzler Get the garlic naan to pair with the kebabs They also have unique extras like their ice cream selections and the sugar cane juice.
10/17/25 Friday get off from work n ordered chicken burger, taste very good. Glad they r open late till 1 am. Thx 3/1/25 Saturday Bun chicken burger, loki ka halwa. 2/8/25 Saturday Chicken malai boti roll, gajar ka halwa. 12/21/24 Saturday. Signature chicken tikka spicy leg thigh n breast, garlic naan, chicken tikka kebab, masala fries. Gajar halwa. 11/28/24 Thursday Thanksgiving day. Ordered gajar ka halwa n so disappointing look @ the quantity god damn it, don't how much money they do need to satisfy customers. They r always very busy n must be making enough money than why r they doing this cheapness. 11/23/24 Saturday pistachio falooda 11/9/24 Saturday Bun chicken burger, suji halwa both taste very good, wish they could add raisin n almonds into halwa. 11/2/24 Saturday we ordered chicken seekh kebab, garlic naan, grill fish all taste good. Bihari chicken breast taste was OK. Restaurant was clean this time. Good, thx 10/4/24 Friday we ordered chicken seekh kebab, garlic naan, original falooda n gajar ka halwa all taste good but (very little portion of halwa). I was not happy about their cleanness. 9/22/24 Sunday Egg omelet, chicken seekh kabob, chicken malai boti, naan, lauki ka halwa, pistachio falooda. All taste very good. 9/21/24 Saturday very spacious plenty of tables n chairs. Good ambience. Felt stickiness on tables n chairs, they need to improve on cleaning n hygiene. Ordered chicken seekh kebab, naan & pista falooda. All were taste very good. Will come again n try more menu items.
Good, but not worth the hype. The spice levels are turned down as if catering to some pre-conceived notion of the local palate. I had heard a lot about the Pakistani chain, so went early on a holiday. Conveniently located in a welcoming space and self-service. We ordered Gola kabab, chicken bihari Tikka, paratha and garlic naan. Gola kabab was great and melted in our mouths, a la galawti! The chicken was a little tough and bland, and we've had much better at other Pakistani places, at lower prices. We thought the prices were somewhat higher than similar places. The chutneys didn't have the punch and there were no chillies on offer. I haven't eaten at the original but doubt if it would pass muster.
I visited Bandoo Khan twice during my trip, hoping the second visit might be better, but the experience remained the same. The food is average—nothing memorable or truly authentic despite the big claims. The breakfast items were disappointing. They were extremely oily, and the orange sweet halva was overly sticky and excessively sweet, with a paste-like texture. I couldn’t get through more than a bite. The kabab was okay, but definitely not something that matches the claim of being “straight outta Karachi 1948.” Overall, the flavors and preparation didn’t reflect Karachi-style cooking, which made the authenticity branding feel misleading. Overall, it’s an average spot that didn’t live up to the hype. Rating: 2.5/5
In town looking for some preferred protein dishes. I thought I'd take my Mom to try out some Pakistani food. My Mom wanted to eat some place else, but I made her try out this place with me. The kebobs was something I was looking forward too, unfortunately it was a let down for me. I ordered both the chicken and beef kabobs. They had excellent flavor, but they lacked texture for me. There was no meat texture, it was like eating paste, which i could not enjoy at all. They just grounded the heck out of the meat. I also got the chicken boti, and that had slightly more meat texture, but it too was like eating chicken wrapped in paste. That could be from the chicken marinated in yogurt for too long, which tends to break down the meat. The chicken tika wrap was ok. The garlic naan was good. It was mostly self-service here, the prices were fair, I just can't say I enjoyed my eating experience.
Honestly, I gave this place multiple chances. The food is way too spicy, it makes is inedible and disgusting. You also have a very upset stomach and diarrhea after this. They let these chicken cubes marinate in some weird sauce for days that the texture doesn’t even feel like chicken anymore. Your customers are NOT all Pakistanis. Fix your food! It is not normal spice level! Just a bunch of pre marinated kabobs sitting for days and tons of unhealthy sauces which make you sit on the toilet forever! No! They are doing it on purpose. They want us to badly stomack her-ting faaastly
Very disappointed. The chicken was undercooked and unsafe to eat. On top of that, the service was poor and unhelpful. This was a terrible experience and I will not be coming back.
We found this restaurant, Bundoo Khan in Fremont, California, through Google. After checking the menu, we noticed that everything was extremely expensive, and unfortunately the food quality did not match the prices. It’s definitely not worth it. I would not recommend this place to anyone in Fremont. To the owner: your prices are higher than what many well-known restaurants charge in places like Beverly Hills or Los Angeles, yet the quality here is very poor. Even the basics—bread, soda, and kebabs—were disappointing. I wasted my time coming here and would not suggest this restaurant to anyone. Please take this feedback seriously, because this place needs major improvement.
