Authentic Cantonese Cuisine located here at Boscell Road at Pacific commons Fremont. Delicious & Freshly cooked dishes from appetizers, dimsum and baked/fried desserts. We love their in house Hot Tea that is perfect for a heavy meal.Their tea pot is so cute with color Gold accent. I loved their shrimp shumai, Taro bun,Sesame Red Bean Mochi Ball and Pork BBQ bao bun. I will definitely be back for more. This location is best for parties and reception for birthday, quincenera, wedding etc.
Pearl Bay is a premier destination for authentic Cantonese cuisine and dim sum in Fremont, offering a spacious and bright atmosphere that is perfect for everything from casual family brunches to elegant wedding receptions. The service is exceptionally attentive and efficient, with a staff that stays on top of tea refills and plate changes even during the bustling weekend rush. The food is the true highlight, featuring standout dishes like the succulent Steamed Golden Pompano with Black Bean Sauce, the signature Crispy BBQ Pork Buns and their famous, flavorful Clay Pot Rice. Other must order items include the perfectly seasoned Lobster Pan Fried Noodles and the delicate Water Chestnut Cake, all served in generous portions that showcase high quality ingredients. Whether you’re enjoying their fresh, snapping Shrimp Har Gow or a rich Beef Brisket Clay Pot, Pearl Bay consistently delivers a top tier dining experience that makes it a local favorite for traditional Cantonese flavors.
Fabulously authentic Chinese restaurant in Fremont. It’s a bit costly but well worth the drive, wait, and cost. The food is delicious and clean. The restaurant is always packed but the wait is minimal. If this restaurant was in Hong Kong, it would be the restaurant where the locals eat. Chilean Sea Bass is my favorite dish but the classics like Mongolian beef, fried rice, and sweet and sour pork/chicken are outstanding. Parking can be a bit tough even though the restaurant is located in a strip mall. That should be a sign that the food is superior as well as the service.
We two arrived around 11 on Saturday and were seated right away. Dim sum was served in timely manner and really tasty. We waited the roasted duck a bit too long that we even considered canceling it. The food quality was good, and the service was fast; although the price was matching the Koi Palace, which meant a little high.
Good food, good service and large restaurant for seating if you come before noon for Dim-Sum lunch the wait are minimal! Everything we ordered are delicious especially the lobster pen- fried noodles are just wonderful. Lobster are fresh, noodles are crunchy and well seasoned! Other item delivered quickly to our table pipping hot and tasty! Service also top notch. The waiter refills hot water to our teapot without asking, changing our personal plates many times without asking with a bustling weekend lunch crow. We need to come back again!
Came here for dim sum on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to find another great Chinese restaurant in the area. We called ahead for our large party so we were promptly seated. All the dim sum was delicious and the service was prompt. Will definitely be coming back for more dim sum in the future. Update: came back for dinner and was pleased to find that their dinner dishes are also high quality and delicious. Will definitely be back here for more Chinese food.
Came here for breakfast and dim sum tends to be really good here! There are many people going to this restaurant at the morning, but it’s worth coming here. The Chinese food tends to be authentic compared to most Chinese restaurants. Dim sum is really good here too! The place is really big like there is going to be a convention held here. There will be times where food takes long to be served normally because there’s too many people dining here. However, that doesn’t really concern me since I know how hardworking the staff are when it comes to service. Overall, this place is good to go to and would want to come back again!
Came for a birthday dinner. We made a reservation for 6PM for a Saturday. There were 2 wedding banquets happening at the same time. They were extremely busy; but we still received attentive service! The food was fresh and tasty! We had to pre-order the roasted succulent pig. The skin was crispy and meat was tender. We had an enjoyable meal. Will definitely come back again.
This restaurant serves excellent Cantonese cuisine. The Dimsum and roasted dishes were both tasty and crispy. Fresh and warm desserts added a perfect finish. With good attentive service, spacious parking, and a huge dining area, it's a highly recommended spot.

Great dinning environment, high end banquet style seafood restaurant, lots of parking and high class service.

Reliable taste of Cantonese food and their service has been better than other places I’ve been too. We came here for dinner on a special occasion decided last minute, and everything worked out well. Parking could be tricky if you want to park right in front of Pearl Bay during busy hours, but we’d recommend parking a little far next to Meet Fresh. This way you don’t have to circle to find parking spots and get to have a walk after dining at Pearl Bay - I’m sure you can still make some room for desserts.
Have been enjoying this dim sum gem for several years now when visiting family in the Bay Area, and it is unquestionably the most delicious I have had the privilege of encountering. I say this having grown up in Flushing, Queens and living in both Mainland China (and Hong Kong) for over twenty years since. I have been eating dim sum weekly for probably 45 years or more. I have been to Michelin rated dim sum restaurants and the most famous/notable eateries in both NYC and San Francisco. Pearl Bay is hands down my favorite. It has a really extensive choice of dishes. The food is fresh and uses some really high quality ingredients. My only (small) criticism is the quality of the hot sauce, which I prefer mixed with red bean paste rather than sriracha. But next time I may bring my own. This place is perfect for large parties. You can make reservations too, so why are you waiting?! And the staff are lovely, both friendly, quick and accommodating. Will gladly look forward to returning at some point in the future. Thank you (again) Pearl Bay!

over-all the dim sum at Pearl Bay is pretty good. there were a dew things we did not like much. their char siu (bbq pork) was dry and over cooked (like all 3 of us thought it was really dry). there was a bun that we tried with crunchy stuff on top that was also very dry. other than that, their food was pretty good 👍 would i eat there again ? yes if i was in the area. i don’t know if they take reservations or not but we waited about 25 min on a Sunday afternoon
Great food. A little noisy the day I was there because of a wedding banquet on the main room and several Birthday gatherings where my party was seated
Pearl Bay Restaurant is one of the better dim sum restaurants I like in the Bay area. Most dim sums are better than average, but they're pricy. I guess you get what you paid for, which is true most of the time. The service is good compared to the average Chinese restaurant. The dining room is new and comfortable, with lots of noise, as all the dim sum restaurants do. The parking lot is clean and safe. I feel very comfortable to park my car there.
This place used to be called Asian Pearl and is changed to Pearl Bay. Inside is big and bright, suitable for any Chinese events such as weddings. Food is decent. The Turnip (Daikon) Cake (Lo Bak Go), Water Chestnut cake and the Taro cakes are all excellent. Not all the dim sum restaurants have the water chestnut cake and taro ones, this is one of the places that serve them and make them very well. Their black sesame rolls are good too. It is hard to find at other Chinese restaurants too. Their lettuce with garlic is great. Their steamed dim sum (such as Har Gow or anything with the white skins outside) isn't as good. The outside skins are thick and they are supposed to be thin. The Fung Jao (chicken feet) are also so-so, not tender enough. I have had better elsewhere. The fried chicken wings are disappointing. The bathroom is not that clean. Wish they keep it in much better shape considering the restaurant's dining area is so nice and elegant.
There are only two decent places to eat dim sum in Fremont. They heat to order and have a spacious dinning room. The only thing I would critique is 8-12 per dim sum dish and the consistent concert videos being displayed.
It is a very busy and famous dimsum and Hongkong seafood dishes restaurant at Fremont. We arrived at around noon and it was full and so many people waiting. We were lucky we got table after waiting about 20 min The restaurant is expansive with so many tables that can accommodate 1 to 15 person per table. This restaurant sometimes is used for Chinese wedding banquet. I have been visiting couple times and mostly for the dimsum. I only visit one time for dinner. There are plenty dimsum items on the menu along with porridge, noodle and bbq dishes. You can also order live seafood dishes. We ordered couple dimsum dishes and pan fry rice noodle with beef and mushroom. Service was a bit slow as we waited a while for our order. It was because the restaurant was full. The dimsum dishes are yummy. I like the pan fry noodle. We usually get the seafood one and this time we try beef and mushroom. The beef is tender and the sauce us good. Pricewise it is reasonable and comparable to other big dimsum restaurant.
Total Score: 8.00 Bathroom: N/A Didn’t use the bathroom Customer Service: 3/5 Gave us food suggestions but we lost our teapot at some point Ambiance: 4/5 Classic Chinese dim sum restaurant vibes. Was very funny that the super HUGE screen TV was showing like wedding after party videos. Food: 4.75/5 Food was authentic and yummy! All the meats weee juicy and all the skins were crispy. Only complaint was peanuts were too salty and too small Wow: 0.25/1 Huge aquarium Total Score = (CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW)/0.9

We went there during a weekday. The restaurant is not busy, and the service is a little bit slow. The food is good, and okra is my favorite even though some of them are obviously too big and has a lot of fiber, making it hard to chew. The vegetarian rice noodle is surprisingly good. It is savory and also has a soft and chewy texture, which I like a lot.
Traditional cantonese style seafood restaurant. Lots of seafood options, they do the standard dim sum and host banquets. Large seating area, great for large groups. Food is pretty good, fair portions, service isn't horrible for a Chinese spot. Wait times for dinner was terrible I will admit, took over 1hr to get food on a Saturday night. Parking can be a pita as its located behind costco.
The dishes are kind of satisfying, the service is unbearable. To be honest the waiters are actually ok, somehow the managers?(ppl who leads the seat)always VERY BAD ATTITUDE…especially a chubby lady who has red hair, talks like we owe her money, and weirdly looking down at us, even roll her eyes to customers…
Don't make the same mistake as we did and come here for Chinese New Year. We did not get our first dish until one and a half hours after ordering. Each dish took painfully long to come out. The waiters were nice but the cooks just seemed to prioritize the other tables for some reason. Our whole meal lasted 3 hours.
My sister booked this venue for her wedding last month. The day we got there, we were unaware that they had double-booked TWO WEDDINGS. When my sister and brother booked this, A YEAR in advance! Everything was just messy. My sister and brother-in-law were told that it was just their wedding that we would have to space ourselves. Instead, all the tables were pushed closely to each other, with barely any space to walk. Our guests and the other wedding happening their guests were getting confused about which side to go to since it wasn't divided off. During my sister's wedding, when the MC was speaking or the wedding party was giving their speeches, the wedding guests COULD NOT hear ANYTHING being said because the other wedding party was too loud with music on blast. Giving everyone headache! We couldn't even hear our self talking. Come to find out that Pearl Bay decided to push our tables closer to each other because wedding party from the other side added last-minute guests!?! INSANE RIGHT?! WHO DOES THAT?! My sister and brother-in-law didn't get the wedding they paid for! It was their BIG DAY only for it to be ruined, messy, and unorganized! Due to Pearl Bay's poor planning and greed for money, we couldn't enjoy the wedding my sister and brother-in-law deserved. We even had wedding guests from the OTHER party come over to our side, take OUR alcohol that WE bought with our own money for our bar, and tried to take the boba that was catered for the wedding! Luckily, we had family who saw it and tried to take it back. Additionally, the staff working that night at Pearl Bay were trying to get boba BEFORE the wedding guests!!! We understand they wanted to try it; however, they should've waited until all guests had it and seen if there were any extras left. Everything was just messy and crowded! I DO NOT RECOMMEND BOOKING HERE!! YOUR SPECIAL DAY WILL BE RUINED 100%!!! Unless you're okay with sharing your wedding/special day!
