Great place to visit. Was only in town for the night and it was pool night. Good prices on drinks and great people. Hope I can return at some point down the road.

While exploring North Fork , I decided to stop here for lunch. Mary was my server and she was lovely. Super attentive and helpful. I had the Chuky burger with jalapeños which was delicious! It was a perfect day for thrift shopping and a burger. Oh and the chef shared persimmons with me from her property free of charge. Thank you ladies for a wonderful lunch!

Stopped here for a quick drink and had a blast! We met all day Dave his dog Jungle! What a cute dog! Everyone here was super friendly and they made you feel like you belonged in their small town local bar! We had a ton of laughs and shared some really neat stories with some locals! Definitely try this place out! 😁

Our first meal in San Antonio was at Buckhorn Saloon, a great decision, I had the best chili! My first time eating authentic chili (no beans), it was so good!! We all loved our food, and the hospitality was great, everyone was so friendly! I will definitely return here when I visit San Antonio again, and I highly recommend it!

Resturaunt is only open till 2pm and call ahead if you have a big group. The restaurant is only open on thurs-tues and bar is open everyday 9-close and opens at 4 on wednesday. Smells like smoke. Looks exactly like the kind of bar you'd expect to be in North Fork. And they have a great ham and cheese sandwich.

If you are daring enough to step back in time this is an experience. We were greeted like we hadn't been there in a long time. This is a locals old fashioned bar. The beef dip and homemade potato salad were quite good. Remember this is a very old bar. There is lots to look at. Of course it shows it's age, but that is what makes this an experience rather than just a place to have a bite. Be aware the language can get a little strong when the shuffle board or pool table are being used. Just remember you are not in in Starbucks and play nice with the locals. They are pretty nice people once you get to know them.

The waitress was very friendly and they have 2 pool tables inside that cost about 50 cents to play a game. Good down to earth kind of place. The food and service was good but it's a local place that people like to gather at for drinks! Nothing extraordinary!

Terrible service. Last night tried bartender was piece of scrap. Gave benefit of doubt. Came back for lunch since this is only place really in the city and terrible service i asked to have a game played said absolutely it will be on every tv. They put it on every tv but the one i was sitting by. Took 2 hours to bring me. My food

Took a nice ride up the hill to Buckhorn Saloon about 11:30 today 4/21/23 with a friend for lunch but as soon as we sat down,the bartender was rude,no customer service at all! Was rude and we only ordered water and Pepsi as we looked at the menu. She laughed at everything and we we not being funny! So we left and went to Duceys,had great waitress, spent $70.00 and a big fat tip! Going to tell everyone I know not to go to Buckhorn!!

I visit my father on or around Veterans Day each year. He is in the cemetary. Two years ago i made a trip to have a picnic lunch with him. I require a service cat and have all of the documents necessary. After spending an afternoon with my dad I was hungry again I stopped at this restaurant that I remembered as a kid being a burger joint that my parents would treat us to if they had extra money. So I went in with my ADA Certified service aminal and was promptly told I was not welcome, Or rather, she wasn't. SInce it was close to 90 degrees I refused to put her in the car and I was refused service at the restaurant. Not the happy place I enjoyed when I was six. And, we are going back to visit dad's grave again this year, but will pack a hardier picnic so we don't get hungry on our way out of town. I hope this story brings the owners up to date on ADA laws, since they did not seem to care before. If you have a service animal this is not the place to eat.
