We stop here during road trips and the service is always pleasant and quick, and the place is clean and feels welcoming

It ALWAYS great coffee & beverages. Extremely friendly staff and don't worry if you have to wait for a drink, it's crafted to perfection. Fod is tasty as well as baked goods. Of course, there are some people outside that make the place look bad but inside is the treasure.

The service was great my Latte was delicious along with a slice of Banana nut bread Peet's coffee Is the Best where ever you go...Hands down; the absolute best coffee ever. Never been to a such a spacious Peet’s in East Bay, plenty of parking available in the lot, good ambiance. I order White Chocolate Mocha hot/cold depending upon the mood. A bit pricey than the regular coffee but worth the taste. I would recommend this location of business.

So far so good! Both dine in And take out are great the coffee is always hot. They always have lavender syrup even if it's not on the menu. I get it in a latte. I also like the Maple scone. They heated up just right. the free WIFi always works.

If you want great coffee, excellent service, and a home welcome feeling, then this Peet’s coffee place is just for you. As soon as you enter this shop, it hits you with a gentle but strong beautiful coffee smell. It’s not too strong nor weak. The temperature is perfect and when corona is over, this would be a perfect decently quiet place to work. The staff is wonderful and the drinks are perfect. It’s not full of sugar, but the drinks are filled with original flavor. Definitely would come again!!!

Peet's provides some of the best coffees and teas from a mass marketed coffee shop around, and this location specifically does a great job with their service. The employees are engaging and polite, which is a direct reflection on how this location is managed. Nicely done.

This is a big Peet's, but as I sit here at 3:30pm on a Tuesday, it's full with only one or two open seats. The workers are friendly and laid-back, a bit too casual at times I think, but it works. They're busy and the coffee's tasty! I'll keep on coming by.

Our experience here was PERFECT! We got hot chocolate and matcha and the sweetness level and temp were exactly right. The matcha was perfect, strong flavor but not bitter at all. Some places make matcha either too bitter or too watery, but Peet's knocked it out of the park! The location is clean and the service was helpful and friendly. The only thing they could improve is adding some art because most of the walls were empty. Thanks guys!!

Quick visit from Cen Cal. I had to stop and use the restroom and to replenish my caffeine intake. The service from staff was great. I like trying new stuff too, so I asked for them to recommend a drink. He recommended the horchata drink (can't remember the exact name thought), I went with it and loved it! Thanks !!!

In America I really have difficulty finding coffee that is truly quality coffee. I have explored coffee flavors with several trademarks, almost all of which were disappointing. until I discovered Peet's Coffee. I bought it in bean form. Every time I go to America I look for Peet's coffee in California and in Colorado. Keep up the quality!

I am strongly biased toward Peet’s. Their beans are hands-down my favorite, ever. They are known widely in the SF region as a coffee joint, which they are, but give their tea a try. Their basic black tea is some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. I grew up in the South so I like a little bit of tea with my sugar; they are wonderfully generous with the Simple Syrup liquid sugar. And unlike Starbucks, Peet’s doesn’t charge extra for the syrup even when I order 10 pumps, eek!

Service is great! I thought I ordered in CV but the app or I did, placed it to Hayward location. I noticed this when I had arrived to CV, the barista was extremely nice about it, it was busy but she still gave great service! I got my coffee and food there and I called up Hayward to let them know about my mistake and they understood as well!

This is a great Peet’s the employees are great and I’m so thankful to have one in Castro Valley. My only issue is the place is smelling more and more like a urinal... I’m not sure if it’s the floors or the bathroom or both but an air freshener and a good overall cleaning would be great! Everything feels sticky...

The service is friendly and reasonably quick. They make a good cup of coffee and the person who writes on the lids has amazing hand writing

Came here to get some work done in the late afternoon. I ordered a coconut black tie from a friendly young lady. My order was prepared quickly for me to grab a seat and start working. No issues with the product/ staff. There were a few unmasked people just hanging out but there was enough space to spread out if you need too. 3-stars because there's no wow factor in the commercial coffee shop experience.

20 min waiting for a simple coffe in a relatively short line. Super understaffed and moving slow. Homeless guy passed out on a table. Fail.

They can not follow instructions . I ordered large Caramel macchiato with more foam on top like 2 inch. I got with tiny foam on top. That drink is more than in Starbucks because 6.45. Then they reduce the drink and I got opposite , all cup of foam and tiny Coffe. Then when Again refused the drink they add a milk. I will not pay for that $3 . It is jock . Those people do not drink those drinks and have no idea what they are doing. The Coffe was so sweet was nearly drinkable. I did not taste much of the Coffe at all.

Revising my review, sadly based on my most recent experience. Ordered my drink and then a slice of pumpkin bread. Clearly they were out of the pumpkin, so the barista gave me tje one on display.... wasn't until I got home and bit into it that it dawned on me what had just happened. Bad form ! (-1 star)

Been visiting this coffee shop for quite some time and service has been satisfactory but one unfortunate thing that frequently occurs in the shop is the homeless people. I’ve had a few incidents where a homeless individual will come into the shop and go diving into the trash bin and few other incidents where they will disturb my time enjoying the spaciousness of the store with my cup of coffee. Quite disappointment to see none of the coworkers would come out and address to the homeless individuals their disturbance of their customers.

Took the dark chocolate mocha. Not sure if that's how it is supposed to taste but it wasn't fun or any different than a regular mocha . The staff were fine. It was relatively empty on Sunday evening. Lots of seating spots. A few on the outside too.

My 1st time at this location. Covid is largely the reason for 2 stars & the set up was confusing. No direction given by staff & i was 1 of 2 people inside w/ approximately 4 to 5 staff members. The app/pick up orders took priority over in person customer orders, so i waited longer than I had time for , was late for work. Won't be back. Better everything at other locations.

I come here often on my way home from work. This must be the worst time to get good service here. I really love Peet's Coffee and love their Tea's but, I'll go to Starbucks and drink the bad coffee with good service if it continues.

This Peet’s has the rudest cashew service I am disabled, I suffered a stoke after Covid vaccine in7/2021. My disability is not noticeable my brain was injured by stroke. It’s not an excuse you need to treat everyone with common courtesy. The older lady with tattoo sleeve and I believe a nose ais not friendly. I couldn’t read the labels on my coffee and so was another old lady I was trying to help. She asked me what are you looking for and I said I’m helping her find her order she’s looking for Kent and she pulled it out and said this is it and I said I know that’s OK sweetie. They’re not very nice here and the cashier says I’m sorry you feel that way and I said yeah I do.

Tried to visit my local Peets today. The food and coffee were great. The service was not. Waited 20 minutes. I watched friends get moved up in line and I was told that mobile orders go first as well. Not good service for those that actually come in. Unless, you're a friend.

I don't Like Bitter Coffee, i asked the Staff for a nice mellow coffee. Yuck , It's to Strong & Bitter. IF you are different Expect to have some Staff Laugh at you & make fun at your expense behind the counter top Machines. Very Annoying.

I was not going to post this experience but after all the run around I was getting I will. I went for a cup of coffee after work in the AM. The barista did not secure my lid. I got in my car. The coffee was so hot the cup warped somewhat the lid popped off. Coffee burnt my hand got all over my car. Long story short …. Manager was a night mare for responding to my calls of the situation. I have all my text messages from her. The complete run around for weeks.

Huge Peet’s fan, but this location is a disaster. They let a homeless person take up three tables to sleep, the staff are unbelievably rude, and they burnt my espresso so badly it made my tongue swell up. Absolutely unacceptable.

I spoke to a young gentleman at the barista counter and he stated that they were out of the plant based sandwiches. He asked if I wanted something else and said that I just a refund for the sandwiches. He gestured to the register and I think a young lady was supposed to help me, but she looked confused. I was pressed for time so I mentioned I had to leave without my refund. I called to see if they were able to reverse the charges for the sandwiches. Apparently, I had to be present to reverse the charges, and I should have kept the note that was written on the bag. I understand that they were busy, and obviously I could not jump into the line for my refund judging from the look on the people at the counter.
