HAHA Sushi

We got delivery through Doordash last night and will 100% be repeat customers! We were extremely happy with the sushi and the chicken yakisoba we ordered. The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented even for our delivery order and we loved the variety in the Nigiri plate. The yakisoba was still steamy hot and almost had a pho like taste to it. Delicious! I kept some leftovers for lunch today and I can't wait to eat it! Thanks HAHA Sushi. We will be back!

AMAZING !!! Can I just say this little hidden spot has amazing tasting sushi and variations of different kinds. They are very clean and welcoming. Love this environment and food is a 10/10. Definitely recommend 🙌🏻🔥

The standout was the sashimi – generous portions and top-quality fish. The service was excellent – attentive, friendly, and quick. The only downside is that the interior could use a bit of an update, as it feels slightly dated. However, the quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere more than make up for it. Definitely a solid spot for sushi lovers looking for good food and great service.

They made me feel welcome on my very first visit. It’s out of the way for me but it’s well worth it. I’ve tried many other sushi places in town but this is the best by far.

We always have a great experience here. It was busy when we walked in but our waitress was great. She kept apologizing unnecessarily because she was slammed. I had the rainbow roll which is always good and also ordered another roll with mango and avocado from the vegetarian menu which was really good as well. I've ordered other sushi rolls in the past and never been disappointed. You also can't beat the $3 draft beer during happy hour. I feel lucky to have this place in our area.

As we walk in we were greeted by the chef. He politely let us know that their service might be a little wait due to short on staffing. To our surprised we got our food within a decent time. And the chef kept checking on us and filling our drinks without having to ask. Everything we order was delicious..

Apparently, this one is owned by the same folks who had Mr. Sushi #2 on Willow/Nees. Same menu. My youngest thinks they have the best miso, and my oldest says their California rolls are best. I'm not crazy about their salad, but I do think their sushi is fresh, and their fried rice is good.

Place was clean but did smell like bleach when we entered which isn't necessarily a bad thing but somewhat unpleasant for a sushi restaurant. I would also like to add that we entered at 11:05AM, 5 minutes after they opened so, yeah. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food quality was excellent, portion sizes were adequate, price was very low for all of that. My chief complaint was that the iced tea was not brewed, it was fountain. And poor quality fountain for that matter. Brewed iced tea is not that difficult or expensive to serve so if anyone is reading this that works there, please keep this in mind. I would return again.

The food is delicious. Love the BMW, snow white and bento box. It takes a little to get your food even in slow times. Make sure you don't go very hungry. Or order miso soup that is usually quick. Service is otherwise great. Clean restrooms as well.

It is nice and it is clean. The service was friendly and efficient. I ordered a tofu vegetable bowl which has teriyaki sauce on it and cost $9.50. The food looked nice and the portions are generous but I didn't care for my tofu vegetable bowl because it had no terriyaki flavor at all. The only flavor came from whatever oil the vegetables were cooked in. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't teriyaki. I also ordered an Agedashi tofu appetizer which was close to $6.00. I don't remember exactly what the price was at this time. Again nice size portions and presentation but the tofu, which is deep fried, comes served sitting in the tempura sauce versus serving the tofu and sauce separately, thus by the time the tofu was cool enough to eat the majority of the outside crust was soggy and falling off of the tofu. That was disappointing and made eating it a different experience then if it hadn't been soggy. My friend ordered a Las Vegas roll and a Chicken bowl. He liked his food but also described his Chicken bowl as not having any teriyaki flavor to it. To summarize...the food was not bad, just not what I expected and/or wanted. They give you a lot of food and it is presented very nice. The atmosphere and service is also very nice and friendly.

Presentation of the pork Bulgogi was good but flavor wise it's probably below average. We got miso soup but it was basically just miso broth with 2 micro size tofu cube. There were no other solid ingredients. Staff was friendly tho.

Ummm the waitresses are always nice. The chefs behind the Sushi bar always say “Thank you!” loudly to everyone who leaves EXCEPT me. Like every time I come they never say thanks to me but they go out their way to say it to all other customers that I observed. Not gonna say my assumption 🤦🏿‍♀️ but… I just decided this is my final time coming here. Food & price is cool. I just don’t feel appreciated as a repeat customer. This is just my personal opinion. You might like it though.

This is very unfortunate. I almost always give a place two times to impress, though, I highly regretted giving this place a second-go-around. The beef kabob was extremely chewy, the salad was a mess and almost looked like a soup. The fried noodles were overly salty, and the main course; the sushi, was overpriced and small with a taste grade not much higher than Winco's sushi; which I would take over this restaurant's version any day. The only good thing was the server girl. She was nice and brought our food to the car. The love in the food was totally missing here. I wish this place luck, however, I don't believe it will last much longer with food that's overpriced and can't deliver to its own value. As always, I hope you enjoy my dining review! I'm really disappointed in this place. I have heard nothing but good things about the food and the quality of service, so when I came in, I fully expected what the hype had given me. Instead, we barely saw our waitress, had to ask for refills and for our check and boxes, and the food was barely sub-par. I feel really let down. I don't know why or what happened here, but the place has clearly gone downhill. The only satisfying thung about this sushi restaurant was the root beer tasted fresh and crisp.

My mom went in to pick up lunch as I was dealing with issues for our business at our office near by. Simple order to-go. She was asked by the hostess/waitress to sit at the bar to wait. The chef came out of the back and rudely told her she couldn’t sit at the bar and had to go sit “somewhere else.” I told her life is too short to pay someone to treat you poorly, so she asked to cancel the order and get a refund. The chef refused at first, but she insisted (they hadn’t started the order). This isn’t the first time the tyrannical chef has been rude, we have walked out before. I hope they get their attitude figured out.

I love their sushi rolls but their veggie bowl is lacking. On the online order description, the bowl was listed to have bokchoy and mushrooms listed but it looks like it was just a stir fry mix. Not worth the price imo

Everything was in one bag so my sushi roll was being kept warm between the entree and miso soup. There was a waitress training but even asking for a receipt I was given someone else’s, the shop was empty so no one was rushing and the trainer was the one who printed it. I wish it was better but was a huge letdown. $30 for one persons dinner and still hungry

So I went in today and had my mask in hand but not on my face I'm pretty sure the president said if you've had your shots you dont have to wear a mask, but he asked me to wear a mask,so I put it on. Only to walk like maybe 12 feet to our table, their was only 1 table their being served. Then he said he was the owner and was refusing service to me. Ok, that's fine. I go there all the time, but now never again

Horrible customer service!! From the manager himself! I ordered two rolls! I customized them! I asked that 1 of the rolls not have a specific item on it! I was speaking to a nice girl in the front that was taking her time and helping me choose a good roll! During this time the manager gets on the phone and interrupts our Conversation! He was rushing me ( they were busy it was lunch time so I understand) however when I picked my order up it was wrong. I called for 10min and they were closed. I’m down the street from them so decided to drive up. When I get there the owner is walking out. I said “excuse me my order wasn’t done right” He proceeds to come up to me and start the whole argument with me because he wanted me to take the roll! So then I asked him for my money back. He starts yelling at me and saying I’m the owner and customer isn’t always right! He is wrong on so many levels! I just wanted my wall done right. He jumped into a conversation and didn’t get my order right and now was mad that I was inconveniencing him! Horrible ! The owner lacks customer service completely

My family and I have been going here for years now, at least once or twice a month and sometimes even more. We were excited to see that they were accepting dine-ins now. However, today we were very disappointed with their lack of customer service. My whole family were standing and waiting to be seated and a couple of waitresses just looked and walked passed us several times without even acknowledging we’ve been waiting for a while. We find this quite rude and just total lack of customer service. Because of this, we will take our money elsewhere and will definitely tell all our friends to go to other better Sushi places.

While picking up my order, I encountered very rude behavior from the staff member at the bar.

Me and my husband went to go try this out for the first time. We ordered a couple roll of sushi because we love sushi and had tried many many other places in town and out of town. However, they mostly seem to be your typical stuffing of crab meat, cucumber, cream cheese, and whatever tempera they had with light sauce. Very plain overall. For 12-14 dollars a roll there should be more to the sushi but it wasn’t what we expected. When we were done we didn’t want to waste our leftover sushi so we decided to get a to go box, however we forgot our sushi and left to our car. I told my husband to come back when we got to our car, but one of the waitress quickly clean up our table and threw the box of sushi away. I can say that it is pretty rude because we barely went out for 2-3 mins and obviously it was boxed for a reason so at least waiting a bit wouldn’t hurt.and Also we waited for water for awhile while we were there, it wasn’t that busy either. Not going again. If you want great sushi and good service, Yoshino on Blackstone has the best in town.

I have been going here for years. It’s close by home and it’s convenient. The sushi is usually pretty good that’s why I’ve returned. However; I’ve experienced a few times lack of “welcome” or attention. The waitresses are usually nice but it seems like they are ran around like little minions by the owner of this place. If he is there, it’s a different vibe. The owner of this place I can count more than once or twice, has a sour face and attitude. Today, was the cake! I passed up on Wasabi (another sushi spot) and drove to HAHA Sushi. I walked in and low and behold, the owner was there & the only one behind the sushi bar. I sit down at the sushi bar and he looks at me with the most miserable face and rude tone “it’s going to take 35 mins to eat” I said oh wow really? He said yeah! All these people sitting here are waiting 35mins - there’s lots of orders!” I was like “oh ok, maybe not then” I stood up from my stool and he didn’t even look at me, say a word and that was that. As I walked out I asked the waitress 35 mins? To eat? Once you’re seated? She said “I guess?” I said “he has a foul attitude every time i see him here!” She said “yeah I know” I left and drove down to another street to SUSHI ARK on Herndon/Marks. They were busy. Almost every table full. And, they were nice and welcoming even with ONLY ONE MAN making sushi. They have constant people coming in. HAHA had 3 tables and I was basically made to feel like I was being kicked out because the owner was so overwhelmed and rude! The owner here unfortunately has the worst attitude. His workers and other sushi guys have always been cool…. Sad as an owner he’d treat his customers like garbage.

She apologized generously for my troubles and found my order check and took it to the manager. As soon as the manager came out he rudely told me (in broken English) I needed to call DoorDash. I explained to him that I already received my refund and all I wanted to do was to reorder my food and pay for it. He didn't understand what I was explaining. He said they don't take DoorDash orders after 8:30pm. I explained again I wanted to reorder in person for take-out and pay. He said no they are already closed (even though thier business hours posted are till 9:30pm). I asked if he could make an exception being as the cooks were still cooking and I'm a frequent customer of theirs. He refused to do so. Worst customer service. It wasn't a complicated order. The hostess admitted that they only have one order left to make. It wouldn't have taken much time to remake my order. Will never return to this place again.
