The carne asada was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, with a great char that brought out the flavor of the meat. The grilled peppers and onions were fresh and well-cooked, adding the right balance without overpowering the steak. The frijoles charros were rich and flavorful, clearly slow-cooked with care. Overall, a satisfying, well-prepared dish that felt hearty without being heavy

If I could give this 10 stars I would. It was my husband and I and we were seated as soon as we walked inside. At 4:00pm. Our server got our drinks and was back promptly. She was super nice and was there the perfect amount of time and not overcrowding at all or under present. Just perfect. The chips and salsa were great and we ordered the tomatillo chicken enchiladas which were absolutely amazing! Atmosphere, food and staff were very exceptional. I’m writing this and haven’t even left the restaurant yet!

My daughter and I had lunch here recently. It was the first time I had eaten here. We actually had planned on going somewhere else but the other place looked extremely busy. I really wanted tacos and this place was nearby so I thought I would try it. They were not very busy and we were seated immediately. Our server greeted us right away and brought us chips and salsa and our drinks very quickly. My daughter ordered the steak quasadilla and I ordered the barbacoa tacos. The quesadilla was $18.50 but didn't come with anything. My tacos came with a choice of beans (I chose black beans) and rice. We each had a coke. The service and food was excellent. It was more than I had intended on spending for lunch ($60 with top) especially considering it was basically 1 appetizer, 1 meal and 2 cokes. I most likely wouldn't go here again, only due to the price since there are so many other places around.

We had a fantastic experience at Uncle Julios on Tuesday night when it was busier than usual because of the holidays. We had a bigger group than we expected and were not even sure we could get a table. but Michelle and Colton made it happen some way. We got a table for six in the bar area and before long we knew we needed a table for 10. and both of these tables had been reserved before we even showed up. So we were thrilled with Michelle and Colton for accomodating all of us, even moving us from one table to another. and the service and food were both fantastic! better service than we had ever had here before. The frozen margarita machine wasn't working so well on this night, but they were still able to get us our favorite drinks after a short wait. the taco bar was great, and everyone enjoyed the other entrees too. i recommend anyone who goes here on a tuesday night to try their taco special, and make sure Colton and Michelle are there to serve you. we will be back!

This review is written for the corporate leadership team, as the experience my family and I had at this location deserves formal recognition. On Saturday evening, December 27, my family of nineteen arrived without a reservation during a post Christmas weekend rush. Despite the circumstances, we were immediately welcomed by the manager, Khurram Qureshi, who took ownership of the situation and delivered an outstanding solution within minutes. He coordinated seating, prepared tables, and offered us a private room typically reserved for large group rentals, at no additional charge. It was a flawless and thoughtful accommodation. Our entire group was served by one server, Josh, who executed exceptionally well. Service was efficient, organized, and attentive, with food delivered faster than expected and orders handled accurately for all nineteen guests. The food was excellent as always, which is exactly why Uncle Julio's remains one of my top three favorite restaurants. Consistency in food quality paired with leadership like this is what separates strong brands from average ones. As a former restaurant owner and former Uncle Julio’s employee, I can say without hesitation that this team represented the brand at the highest level. Khurram and Josh turned a challenging scenario into a memorable family experience and reinforced my long standing loyalty to the brand. Please recognize this team. This is what operational excellence looks like.

Absolutely amazing bartender Nick! From the moment we sat down, the service was friendly, attentive, and professional. Drinks were made perfectly—balanced, flavorful, and served quickly even during a busy rush. Nick was very knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and made the whole experience feel fun and welcoming. You can tell Nick genuinely care about their craft and their customers. Big shout out to the hands down best bartenders I’ve experienced—will definitely be back! Thank you so much Nick!

We stopped by for an afternoon drink during the happy hours and were wowed by the service. The drinks tasted great but were a little heavy on the ice. The chips and salsa were as good as they get, too.

This was my first time here as I'm from out of state. I've heard great things so I was looking forward to the experience and I wasn't disappointed. The food was amazing as it came out fast and full of flavor. At most Mexican establishments, the salsa seems to be an after thought but not here. I have to say that the salsa here is phenomenal! I could have made a meal out of that alone! Since it was limited edition, I ordered a Watermelon Margarita and it was THE best Margarita I've had. It was flavorful, balanced, and extremely smooth. I highly recommend coming here.

I came here on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Dallas, and the restaurant has a very clean and beautiful terrace. However, the food was an issue. The meat had an unpleasant smell, so I couldn’t eat it and only had the non-meat dishes. When I carefully raised this concern, I realized we weren’t the only ones who noticed. Thankfully, the manager gave a detailed explanation and, with excellent service, offered us a special dessert experience that really lifted the mood and turned the meal into a pleasant one. I especially want to highlight the attentive care and kindness of the staff. Since taste can be improved, I still recommend this place for its service and atmosphere.

Great service, good food, clean, and nice environment. We grabbed dinner around 6pm and were seated right away. The staff were great and very nice. We ordered the enchiladas, the steak nachos, ground beef soft tacos, beef fajitas and the mango Lemonades and we left nothing behind. I think we were really hungry after hanging out at the mall and watching a movie! Everybody enjoyed their food and had no complaints!

We sat in the bar, but there was only 1 guy waiting on the tables so at first service was slow. Took about 20 mins for our drinks, but after that everything went great! The food was awesome! I got the taco salad and I will definitely go back for it again. They have a lot of good margarita options too!

The ambience is good and welcoming. They offer complimentary chips, which is a nice touch. The crispy chicken tacos and chicken quesadillas are a must-try—both are flavorful and well made. However, the fish tacos were not that tasty compared to the other options.

Overall, decent Tex-Mex food. My friend and I ordered fajitas; steak and shrimp, there is complimentary chips and salsa, and we ordered some queso on the side. Pretty good portion size, service was good and the place is nicely decorated showcasing some modern interior with a splash of Mexican culture. Overall, pretty good experience. Great for small or large groups. I would come back and try some more dishes. Till then, let’s eat!

Review for Uncle Julio’s: I recently visited Uncle Julio’s, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The restaurant offers spacious seating, making it perfect for both small gatherings and larger groups. Their menu boasts a wide variety of Mexican dishes, catering to diverse tastes. Both the food and service were exceptional. The flavors were authentic, and the staff was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. I truly enjoyed my time there and am looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Mexican cuisine in a comfortable setting!

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The entrees I've ordered have been good; however, when I've ordered side items, they have been disappointing. My last order was take out and I ordered chicken quesadillas, a small queso and an order of rice. The quesadillas were "okay", but not as flavorful as usual. The rice was completely bland without any seasoning, and the $9 small queso was a rip-off. The container was not even an inch deep, it wasn't filled and the dip was bland. If I return, it will be dine in only and I will not order any extra sides.

I’ve visited Uncle Julio’s in Florida before and liked the food, though the service wasn’t great. Still, I decided to give this place a try for Mexican food. I ordered the shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, and a chicken quesadilla. • The chicken tacos were really good and flavorful. • The shrimp tacos were okay, but if you’re Asian (or prefer shrimp fully cooked), make sure to clearly mention that while ordering. • The chicken quesadilla tasted great overall, but some parts were slightly burnt, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, the food had good flavor, but a little more attention to cooking consistency would have made the experience better.

For over 15 years, we have chosen this establishment for our Mother's Day celebrations, as it is our mother's favorite venue. This year, we selected a location known for its exceptional patio views. Regrettably, the quality of the food did not meet our expectations, particularly when compared to other locations we have frequented. While we anticipated slower service due to the high volume of patrons on Mother's Day, the overall dining experience fell short, as none of the dishes we ordered were satisfactory.

Service was slow, food was poor. Our server was nice, and friendly. But taking care of too many tables. She kept forgetting our request. The food was not as well prepared as other locations. Cold food, rice was either not cooked long enough or it was old and hard.

It’s been a long time since I’ve visited an Uncle Julio’s—and after this visit, it’ll probably be a while before I come back. This Frisco location is fairly new and the decor is beautiful, and to be fair, the service was solid. My review is strictly about the food, the menu changes, and the direction the corporation seems to be going. Years ago, Uncle Julio’s had an incredible menu. I used to visit almost weekly. But post-COVID, everything started changing—and not for the better. They removed their amazing nachos, only to bring them back with a new recipe that honestly tastes like cheap, generic nachos. Their queso recently changed as well, and it was pretty awful. It makes you wonder: if something was great and successful, why change it? Their fajitas are still decent, but at this point there are countless other restaurants using better quality ingredients and staying true to their original recipes. Overall, nice building, good service, but the food just isn’t what it used to be—and that’s the whole reason people go out to eat. Until the corporate team rethinks these menu changes, I don’t see myself returning. A restaurant in a busy area that’s almost empty by 8:30 pm on a weekend is a sign that something clearly isn’t working.

I've been to Uncle Julio's in Dallas and enjoyed it, so I was excited to treat my husband to lunch at this nearby location. I was extremely excited as I had bragged and boasted to my husband about the good food and drinks. I was quickly embarrassed that I lied. The host was very nice and pleasant upon entry and sat us quickly. Menus were sat on the table. As we settled in, I picked up the paper menu and noticed food and stains everywhere on the menu. I went to the hostess stand for a new menu, and she handed me another dirty paper menu; I informed her that it was okay and that I'd look it up online. Our server then came to take our drink order, where I ordered the mango margarita, and my husband ordered the watermelon with sugar. The server brought our drinks and left again. My margarita tasted like dish soap, but I did not complain; my husband, on the other hand, sent his back because it was so full of salt that it wasn't enjoyable. We then finally got a chance to order food. I ordered guacamole, which was good but not worth $9 for the small portion. I will say my bowl was terrific, but my husband's fish tacos were not. He stated that the fish was fishy and tasted like it was cooked in old grease. We ended up trashing his food at home. Overall, it was not a horrible experience, but it is not one that I will return to.

I was so exited for my meal from Uncle Julios! That excitement did not survive the drive home. When I opened the bag, I discovered I had paid $15 for two miniature tamales. Not tapas. Not a sampler. Just two tiny tamales living their best minimalist life. The meal was also supposed to come with beans and rice, but the beans apparently called in sick. Rice showed up alone. Pickup was equally impressive. The instructions said to go to the host stand, which I did. I then stood there long enough to reconsider several life choices. The phone started ringing so then the host finally appeared. He saw me and chose the phone. Lesson learned. If you want service here, call while staring directly at an employee. Right as I was about to leave, I checked the bag and realized an entire second meal was missing. I skipped the waiting, went straight to the kitchen where the missing meal was quickly thrown together like a last-minute science project. Credit where it’s due, but at that point the bar was underground. Based on my experience and the recent reviews, this location is clearly in a downward spiral. Management seems either overwhelmed, absent, or actively avoiding eye contact. Do yourself a favor and drive a few minutes down the road to Hacienda Ranch. They are always ready, always smiling, and always capable of handing you the food you actually ordered. Delicious food. No scavenger hunt required. Also- I already filled out a review in response to an email they sent me after my order. I told them about My disappointment and their response was basically sorry we gave you so little food but hopefully the three bites you got were delicious. Hope you come again soon to give us more of your money. Have a good day.

The Carnita tacos were dry. Enchiladas Rojas had a peculiar taste not sure what kind of meat it was made of, and the quesarollas were made with flour tortillas when corn tortillas were requested. No one finished their plates. Chips, salsa and beverages were good. We were here to celebrate my sisters birthday, I feel bad that no one enjoyed their meal 9

I redid my review and knocked it down to one star. This place is a JOKE. I ate at the bar and the bartender ( who had bad BO) was slow and lazy. I never got any chips or salsa and all around me there were dirty tables. Do they not have busboys ? I didn’t get chips until my guacamole came and I told the waitress who brought them I didn’t have chips. Never got salsa. The chicken enchiladas were meh. I was there almost an hour and a HALF. Just to pay my bill took 15 MINUTES! Is there anyone managing this restaurant!? Ok food. Mia Cocina has my favorite fajitas so I decided to see if Uncle Julio’s was better. Overall, no. The meat was on the chewy side and the onions and peppers weren’t completely cooked. That said, I preferred Uncle Julio’s chips and salsa over Mia Cocina. Lastly, Mia Cocina had much friendlier and attentive staff.

This used to be one of our go to places. We had a group of 6 last night and excited to hang out, catch up with h some good drinks and food. Unfortunately, from the waitress that rarely came to our table to the changes to the hot sauce, everyone at the table was very disappointed in our experience.
