Had a beautiful Thursday, to go grab happy hour. We tried tipsy turtle. Parking can be an issue during peak times. Also our beers were in can that weren't very cold. They were just icing everything down when we arrived. There is no indoor seating. It is a do it yourself set up. If you want fast service sit at the bar. The Gulf Front view is beautiful and the angle in which the building is located you get an entire panorama of the Gulf. This is a daytripper, vacation type of stop, as you can drive there or walk up from the beach. If you forgot something for the beach they have a small store see picture for ideas.

Other than being under staffed it was good. The staff that was there were very busy and earning every bit of their paychecks and tips. Friendly and professional. The food was pretty good and was fair prices. A good place to sit and people watch.

This place was cute. loved the outdoor seating by the beach really cute view with lots of different seating areas. We sat down low and we were lucky enough to be alone over there. Our food was alright it wasn't anything special, but to be fair I only got the chicken strips because I wasnt quite hungry. My mom got the fish tacos. The fish wasnt fresh and the shells were off putting in her words. My dad says the po boy didn't have enough flavor and it still had the shell on the shrimps. This was a miss for us.

A nice place, but it's been closed for a couple of years? The bathrooms and showers have been closed for over 4 years. I hope it reopens this summer. Don't know if it's privately owned or part of the county parks at the beach? A convenient little getaway, Beach showers are still open at least.

Great place to be when the sun goes down. Ladies at the bar were so nice even with all the patrons they had to cater to. Drinks were good. I got The Turtle..taste like cotton candy. Food was great. The atmosphere kinda falls on the quality of people in the bar. Side note..people please clean up after yourselves..this ain’t no restaurant. You spilled ketchup? Wipe it up. We go here only because our resort is next door and has no bar. The staff here looks to be a little overwhelmed at times. The food that we had was good and the bartender is friendly. The views from this place are awesomely great and they could do so much more here with this place to make the experience more enjoyable for their patrons.

SLOW service, it took 28 minutes to get our order. There were not very many other people there. My shrimp/fry basket had a great flavor ($16...and no, I hadn't eaten any of the fries even tho the picture looks like I had). Husband ordered nachos ($12) that came out cold and were returned to the kitchen...new order came out in about 5 minutes and were warmer, he said the flavor was pretty good however could have had more pico, chili, cheese and chips. I ordered a peach margarita that didn't have any peach and tasted like a salt margarita. The atmosphere and music was very nice tho lol! We would not go back...unfortunately.

SLOW service!! 28 minutes from order to table for nachos and grilled shrimp and fries basket. Nachos were cold and shrimp and fries were just so so. They brought some fresh nachos and they were pretty good. Great location and nice music/vibes. Right on the beach. Overall not impressed.

Nice little spot here on the ocean here in Galveston. Honestly… you should come here for drinks and/or just the fish cause that was the best meal. The chicken tenders were average, decent and usually the type I like but they were bland. I give them a B- grade on those. The fries were also bland, need more seasoning or something. They also have a seagull problem… so don’t leave your food. Service was kind for us.

My husband and I are staying at the resort next door to the Tipsy Turtle. It looks cute from the beach so we stopped in a 5:00 pm (location closes at 7:00 pm) to watch a winter sunset. Unfortunately, the server could not be bothered. She barely made eye-contact with us, she didn't remove her over-the-ear headphones, and pretended to clean so she didn't have to interact. We waited a couple of moments under the "order here" sign....but nothing. No surprise there were only six people there and only 2 of them had a drink.

Although the view is amazing, the food os microwaved frozen seafood. If you have had fresh seafood in the island, you know frozen seafood when you have it. It is a shame that one person is expected to handle the bar and the food on the day of the Regata. Especially when Holiday Inn is always advertising for people to work for the "club" services. My first time here. I live a block away. Really wanted to love it. Won't be back, although bartender was amszing!
