We were super excited to try after seeing they were #3 on top 100 places to try in 2026 by yelp, and it exceeded all expectations! The broth is honestly one of the best I’ve ever had, the short rib in the pho is braised for four hrs. The lomo saltado has crispy fries - the steak was perfectly cooked and tender to bite, exactly what you’d want. The garlic noodles were good and are served with different protein options. There are so many coffees, matchas and mocktails that are beautifully presented with hibiscus flowers. Nam has become one of my favorite fusion restaurants when you want Vietnamese and Peruvian cuisine. You can taste the quality and flavor, everything was so good and def will be back to try the elote appetizer and fried rice!! My new go to spot for pho!!
Nam was very accommodating. Even while they had a long list of guests waiting they were still considerate of my seating preference. The waiters were very knowledgeable about the menu and provided amazing recommendations. The flavors did not miss. I truly enjoyed this Asian -Peruvian inspired cuisine. Thank you Nam Kitchen ❤️❤️❤️ Follow me on IG - @Akeema.bryan for the full video review.
The pho broth was very good even though it has no msg. The meat was mostly tender and plentiful though I will say the flank was a tad bit chewy. The matcha foam coffee was very good. The oxtail fried rice was good but I wasn't particularly fond of the drier oxtail for the fried rice. I was expecting it to be soft n tender and a little wet. The staff was nice and I would like to come back to try the truffle fried rice and lomo saltado as many have said it was highly recommended. The decor is also pretty neat and open space which isn't common for a typical Viet restaurant.
Tried this spot in Gardena over the weekend and everything we ordered was so good. We started with the spicy wontons, which had great flavor and just the right amount of heat. We also tried one of the new appetizer menu items, the truffle fried rice, and it did not disappoint! Rich, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. For entrees, we ordered the pho shaken-style filet mignon and lomo saltado, both super satisfying. The filet mignon was tender and packed with flavor, and the lomo saltado was hearty and comforting. For drinks, we got the Lychee Peachee and June Lemon, which were light, refreshing, and paired really well with the food. Definitely a place I’d come back to.
Beautiful Vietnamese restaurant with a stunning interior and a calm upscale vibe. The food was excellent. Noodles were incredibly tasty, the soup with appetizers and tender meat was rich and comforting. Service was attentive and smooth without pressure. Everything felt well thought out, polished, and enjoyable.
I stopped by Nam Kitchen in Gardena and ended up trying a handful of things — and honestly, everything hit. The ube coffee was smooth, lightly sweet, and actually tasted like real ube (not artificial at all). The matcha coconut water sounded a little unusual but was super refreshing and not overly sweet — a really nice balance. For food, the golden pear salad was a pleasant surprise: crunchy, fresh, and a great contrast to the richer dishes. The steak lomo saltado was classic comfort food — tender steak with onions and tomatoes, and the fries soaking up all that flavorful sauce. And the truffle fried rice to finish was fragrant and rich without the truffle being overpowering. Overall, everything felt well-balanced and thoughtfully done. If you're in the Gardena area and want flavorful dishes with a little creativity, this spot is definitely worth checking out.
I was able to bring my husband to try NAM kitchen with me for lunch today. We waited for about 30 minutes which wasn't bad. Staff were nice, the restaurant is well decorated and food came out quickly. For food, we started with the truffle fried rice, which had great flavor and lots of toppings, including Chinese sausage and pork. The combination pho had hearty broth and well cooked noodles and good amount of protein. For drinks, we got the coco Matcha and lychee peachee which were refreshing. Overall, we had a great meal (: would recommend! Pro tip: if you're feeling hungry and wanting soup - the pho comes with unlimited noodles if you get your own bowl!
The food was awesome! Before ordering, I jumped on Yelp to check out pictures of food from the menu. I saw multiple images of the Lomo Saltado, so it seemed to be the most popular. I ordered that and was super happy that I did cause it on point and full of flavor. Would definitely come back and order the same thing.
This place deserves all the hype because it’s that good. Located in Gardena which is really local to me. Their menu options between appetizers, entrees and drinks is a wonderful selection. I ordered the bap xao/street corn, chicken pho, salmon steak noodles, lychee peachee, and coco matcha. Everything was flavorful and delicious and literally provided so much comfort.
This is hands down the best pho we’ve ever had, and it’s officially our go-to spot. The broth is rich and flavorful, the ingredients are fresh, and everything tastes authentic and comforting. The fried rice is also amazing and pairs perfectly with the meal. On top of the incredible food, the service is outstanding. Our waiter was the sweetest, so kind and attentive, and truly made the experience even better. We always feel welcomed here and will continue coming back and recommending this place to everyone!
WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY!! The food here is nothing but tasty and enjoyable! The lychee. Peachee drink was my favorite beverage, to me it was tart and tangy but finished sweet. If you’re looking for a place to eat in the Los Angeles area for a date night or even on those cold nights to keep you warm, you have to go to NAM Kitchen!! I rarely give restaurants a perfect score however, NAM Kitchen scored a 10 out of 10 for me! I cannot wait for my next visit!
Where do I even begin with how amazing this place is! My friend and I came looking for cozy comfort food and ordered a massive spread as a treat. I love trying out different fusion places and the Vietnamese-Peruvian inspiration was 🔥🔥🔥 The staff was so attentive even though it was busy, and the food came out quickly! The environment was very welcoming and the decor is absolutely beautiful. My favorite was definitely their Lomo Saltado, which was so savory and the meat was so tender! We also ordered the spicy wontons, calamari, tiger prawn garlic noodles, oxtail fried rice, and combination pho (which comes with unlimited noodles)! Each and every single dish was astounding and balanced each other out quite well. Also tried a couple drinks - the coco matcha and pink petal(strawberry purée coconut drink), perfect if you’re lactose intolerant like me! The price for everything was also very reasonable given how much we ordered! 10/10 highly recommend for anyone coming with a big party or on a date 😃 so much to try!
My boyfriend and I came back here twice within a month. The first time we came at 7ish we had to park across the street, the second time we came before 6p there was plenty of parking and the restaurant was not crowded. By the time we left, there was a line already. But I think this restaurant is worth for waiting. The first time we ordered fried chicken wings, oxtail fried rice, lomo saltado and coco matcha. The second time we ordered lomo saltado and pho rib bone n the drink again. The food there won’t disappoint you. All the food is very flavorful. The pho rib bone soup based was so so good. It hit the spot if you are craving pho. That clear clean broth but with rich flavor was so delicious. The service was amazing and quick. Just come with a hungry soul . Highly recommend
I really enjoyed eating at NAM Kitchen. Staff was supper friendly and accommodating. Service was fast. Food was very tasty and delicious. We really enjoyed the Pho, the soup was wonderful and very comforting. The Ribeye garlic noodle was really good too and love the green sauce it came with. The drinks we order were very refreshing. I would definitely go back.
Wow! Amazing pho and Vietnamese Persian fusion place. Didnt try the Peruvian dishes, but looking at others plates they looked amazing. Massive portions and so tasty. Our server Erik was so helpful and took care of everything we needed. I highly recommend coming here if in the area. You will not be disappointed! So yummy!
This place is in what I like to call a foodie corner! Parking is easy! It's a good little lot just for the area. Inside is beautifully decorated! It has a relaxing vibe to it. Service was great! They definitely have a great tag team to their dynamic. Here's what we ordered: 🥤 Moroccan Mint Strawberry Tea - This was really refreshing. It wasn't too sweet, and the mint just paired very nicely with the strawberry. 🥤 Lychee Peachee - This was so good! Also not too sweet, but the peach and the lychee in the jasmine greed iced tea was great. 🍚 Goi Bo Tai Chanh (Beef Salad) - There was a spice on it that made the salad kind of addicting. Everything mixed together was a great way to start the meal. 🍚Xui Xao Bo - We ordered this out of curiosity, and boy was that a big surprise. The Asian Fusion sauce that comes with it is something that made us think, "I need this to make my own pasta dish at home!" It was delicious! 🍚 Ribeye Steak Garlic Noodles - Garlic noodles, staple right? I don't know what they do with theirs, but it's my favorite garlic noodles I've ever had. And having the ribeye with it. *chef's kiss* 🧋Matcha Coffee - Vietnamese Coffee with Matcha foam? Sign me up, it was delicious, just had to mix it up a bit, but boy does it hit the spot. 🧋Taro Coffee - I love taro. This was such a great combination, just mixing that taro milk cream into the coffee gave it a subtle sweetness and it was great. Check this place out if you haven't already! It's fantastic!
I've been coming to Nam Kitchen ever since they opened over a year ago, and it’s easily become one of my favorite spots. It’s the perfect place to celebrate birthdays, hang out with friends, or enjoy a nice date night. The interior has a modern yet elegant vibe—definitely a bit more upscale than your typical Vietnamese restaurant—but the quality and portion sizes absolutely live up to it. Nam Kitchen is a creative fusion of Vietnamese and Peruvian cuisine, and it really works! What we ordered: Ribeye Garlic Noodles – 8/10 ($30) The price may look a little steep but the portions are large, and they don’t skimp on the steak. It was a LOT of steak! I asked for medium-rare, but it came out slightly more cooked than I prefer. Still, the chimichurri added a great kick and paired beautifully with the steak—it was super flavorful overall. House Chicken Wings – 10/10 ($15) We got seven pieces, and even after sitting for about 30 minutes while we filmed, the wings were still crispy, flavorful, and delicious. You can really taste the fish sauce—it adds that perfect umami touch. Pho Short Rib – 10/10 ($17) The broth is rich, aromatic, and bursting with flavor — you can really taste the fish sauce, lime, and all the fragrant spices. A huge bonus: they offer unlimited noodle refills, just like SUP Noodle Bar! The short rib was delicious, though I’ve had slightly more tender versions elsewhere — but the unlimited noodles more than make up for that. You could easily share this dish with another person, making it a great value! Crispy Rolls - 8/10 ($9) I like how they cut the egg rolls in half for easy sharing and serve them with fresh lettuce and carrots for wrapping. The presentation is beautiful and definitely photo-worthy. They also include fish sauce for dipping, which ties all the flavors together perfectly. I loved the crispiness of the egg rolls and the flavorful filling inside — such a satisfying bite! Pink Petal Drink - 9/10 ($6) I really enjoyed this drink made with strawberry purée and coconut milk — it’s super refreshing and beautifully presented with a flower garnish. It’s definitely an Instagram-worthy drink! The flavor leans on the sweeter side, so I’d recommend asking for it less sweet, or you can add a bit of water to balance it out (and make it last longer!). Taro Coffee - 6/10 ($6) We ordered this drink mainly for its aesthetic appeal, but since neither of us are big coffee drinkers, our rating might be a little biased. The Vietnamese coffee is quite strong and not too sweet, which true coffee lovers will likely appreciate. If you enjoy bold, robust coffee flavors, this one’s definitely worth trying! Overall Score 9.5/10 Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the food absolutely makes it worth it. The staff are kind and friendly, though they can get quite busy at times. Parking can be a little tricky since the restaurant is located in a plaza near an apartment complex, and it tends to get crowded — even at 6 p.m. on a Saturday, the place was buzzing. I’m really happy to see how well they’re doing, and we were so grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with them!
Hands down one of the best Vietnamese restaurants i've been to! what i ordered 🍝ribeye steak with garlic noodles (BOMB! The steak was tender and juicy, and noodles had so much flavor without being too greasy!) 🥩lomo saltado (tender, flavorful beef with crispy fries, and beautifully plated!) 🫔 egg rolls (crispy a perfect way to start the meal!) 🍵coco matcha (unique, creamy and not too sweet, perfect combination with the thick matcha!) 🍸june lemon (its sweet, fruity and refreshing!!)
I had the lomo saltado and was really impressed with the quality! The fries were perfectly crispy and the meat was cooked just right with nice fresh tomatoes. The dish had great flavor and was very satisfying. I also tried the ribeye steak with garlic noodles, and again, the steak was cooked to perfection. The garlic noodles were super flavorful and paired really well with the ribeye. The prices are very fair, especially considering how expensive meat is these days. The chicken wings were another standout dish! They were nice and crunchy with a delicious Vietnamese-style fish sauce seasoning that really made them pop. Between the lomo saltado, the steak and noodles, and the wings, everything we ordered was excellent. This is definitely the best Vietnamese food in Gardena in my opinion! It was busy on a Saturday night when we visited, but the staff was very helpful and accommodating despite the crowd. I noticed most of the staff spoke Vietnamese which added to the authentic feel of the restaurant. The service was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. Overall, I'd highly recommend Nam Kitchen if you're in the Gardena area and craving quality Vietnamese food!
This was my second time visiting this refreshing little gem. I ordered the shrimp fresh rolls that were made of very fresh veggies and a flavorful peanut sauce. I generally get pho but decided on the oxtail fried rice which did not disappoint. The oxtails were shredded throughout the bed of rice turning it into a full meal…. I washed it all down with a flavorful peach tea that was very refreshing. The place is very clean with ample space for large parties. A
Taste :4.5/5 Environment: 4.8/5 Service:4.2/5 Super cool spot in Gardena where Vietnamese + Peruvian flavors come together in the best way. What to try: 🥢 Start with the classics like their signature spring rolls and crispy chicken wings — comforting, familiar, and done really well. I like Phở Short Rib Phở Short Rib. The rib itself is massive — almost the size of my face! Braised for four hours, the Korean short rib is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the broth ties everything together perfectly. Every bite is rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. The restaurant’s modern interior is cozy yet stylish, making it a comfortable spot whether you’re here for a casual dinner or a foodie adventure.
Usually, I come here for pho, but this time I tried the oxtail fried rice and golden pear salad—both were absolutely delicious! I’ll definitely be coming back for these again. The tofu spring rolls were fresh and tasty as well. The servers were very nice, and the restaurant has a clean, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Unfortunately I did not take a picture of my pho but guys I can really tell you that it was great. We were surfing the jet lag effects after landing in LAX and we needed something tasty full of flavor for a rainy cold winter day, trust me their combo pho special hit the spot that they. Next time I'm there I will tale lots of pictures but for right now, you can trust my words, I recommend this place for a great pho consume.
The pho broth tasted so delicious. The meat is ok. I liked the portion size and being able to get more noodles if we wanted (we didnt need to). The restaurant was very cute. It looks clean and spacious. The location has a small parking lot that is shared with 7 other restaurant. We went in the afternoon and found parking easily but I could see parking being very challenging during meal times. Overall, we would return and recommend.
NAM Kitchen serves up an unexpected fusion where Vietnamese soul food meets Peruvian flair — bold, comforting, and downright crave-worthy from the first bite. Food: 4/5 - Oxtail Fried Rice (Cơm Chiên Đuôi Bò) – 4.5/5 Love that it’s hearty without being greasy. Made with 8-hour braised oxtail, basil, eggs, and topped with a perfectly fried egg. - Golden Pear Salad – 4/5 Outstanding dressing! You get half a full-sized pear paired with fresh organic greens, honey-roasted walnuts, cheese, and Chef Nam’s Cabernet dressing. - House Chicken Wings (Cánh Gà Chiên) – 4/5 Classic Viet-style wings done right — crisp, seasoned well, and addictive. Can’t wait to come back for the Garlic Noodles (Mì Tỏi) and Nam’s Spicy Wontons (Hoành Thánh Cay). Service: 4/5 Friendly, quick, and attentive staff who keep things running smoothly. Parking: 4/5 Small lot out front, and it can get tight during peak hours — but it’s manageable with a little patience.
You either think this is a five star restaurant based one simple reason: you enjoy sugar or you don’t. On the menu they claim no MSG as if that’s some sort of badge of honor nowadays. They need to get with the program because MSG is no longer the evil Asian ingredient they seem to think it is. By removing the flavor enhancer of MSG, they instead substitute it with sugar, sugar, and more sugar. Pho tastes like sugar. Garlic noodles taste like sugar. The ox tail fried rice is oil but lacks that special something… oh yeah salt and MSG, it clumps together like a paste instead of having individual strands and fluffy. It also tastes sugary. They found their secret as lots of western customers seem to enjoy this place… because everything tastes like sugar.
