I’ve been coming here since I was a keiki and it still feels like home every time I walk in. The food is always consistent, hot, and generous. The katsu is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside, and the rice portions are no joke. You definitely leave full and happy. Their shaved ice is one of my favorites. The flavors are bright and refreshing, and adding vanilla ice cream and li hing mui powder takes it to another level. It’s the kind of place that holds memories and keeps making new ones. Friendly service, good portions, and real island comfort food. Grateful this spot is still here and still doing it right.
Came here by chance and it was a great experience, the prices are very reasonable, the service is great, the older gentleman was pleasant and pront, the food was plentiful and taste amazing, i had the chicken and beef combo which included a drink, also had the katsu plate. The teriyaki Chicken was well made and tasted delicious as well as the beef, the potato/macaroni salad was one of the best i had ever. The katsu chicken was well cooked and breaded to perfection. It was an overall great experience, highly recommend this restaurant.
Hawaiian chicken wings is where it’s at . Call in advance as they may take long to make but definitely worth the wait. Super fresh. The scent of the spices used aromatizes the air. So crispy and scrumptious, it’s hard to not want more. Tastes delicious fresh off the kitchen and even cold as left overs. Service was kind and friendly.
Hidden gem! Truly amazing mom-and-pop Hawaiian place. Owner is super friendly, and the food is some of the best Hawaiian I've had. Huge portions, too!
No frills mom and pop joint with generous and delicious portions. One of the best teriyaki spots in the South Bay.
Omg!! Everything was so fresh and delicious! Such a sweet man to taking orders and delivering the food to our table. Wonderful service and delishes food... Worth a try and will be coming back 🤭😋
5.0 & none below!!! Enjoy authentic Hawaiian cuisine for a ridiculously low price. This classic plate lunch style joint serves generous portions of flavor packed food; it's no wonder this place has been in business for the last 60 years. Locals from the islands will not be disappointed in the least. Choose from a variety of local dishes. The lau lau is proper, as it includes the pork belly and butterfish. The chicken katsu is off the chain, but a request for the curry katsu option is highly recommended. The loco moco stay garranz fo' quell any kanak attack (sooouuu-peh!). If you want to switch it up on the pupus at your next get-together or football/UFC night, pass on the Wing Stop and get a fat order of the Hawaiian wings instead. Get your grind on!
We came for the shaved ice and got a chicken and beef teriyaki combo. Beef is well done and crispy, chicken well cooked and full of flavor. I actually prefer this teriyaki vs the other across the street. Definitely worth the drive for it.
They have da best Hawaiian fried chicken wings!! They also have very good combos. I recommend the spicy (teriyaki) chicken, mahi mahi, salmon, & tilapia - for the combos. The Chinese Chicken Salad - they give you a lot. Their prices - "down to earth" - they keep their prices as low as possible. Mahalo, Romeo
This is the best teriyaki chicken place in Gardena. The food is really good, and I do recommend this place!

This is the best teriyaki chicken place in Gardena. The food is really good, and I do recommend this place!
FANTABULOUS! Probably the BEST quality teriyaki I've had in a long time -- better than Rascal's -- with generous portions that are VERY reasonably priced. I'm definitely coming back SOON! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
For me, this was a hidden gem, cater to business companies Hawaiian heritage culture, very authentic flavors ,ps smart to order in line , the wait is about 30 min.
The Kalbi plate is awesome & the Chinese chicken salad is HUGE. Been going there for over 15 years. Family owned & highly recommended.
The food is why people are here. Father in law, Japanese American, found this place on line and read the reviews The food doesn't disappoint, even with high expectations. Delicious beautifully prepared and bountiful. I never expected so much steak in my large Udon bowl. We went with family, a group of six and every meal looked sumptuous and was loved by all. The place looks tattered and has an atmosphere of a workman's lunch spot. Service was courteous and conscientious but brief because it was very busy. The food took a while because it was fresh and they were very busy. (Sorry didn't take any pictures.) This will be one of our regular spots when we are in the area.
The owners are older, but very hard working. The food is pretty good and they give a lot. This older couple work 7 days a week, every day, trying to keep up with customer demands and the bleak economy and rising food costs. Somehow, they've kept their prices the same or increased very few items, here and there. They have no choice if the business is to survive and thrive. Unfortunately, the husband works the cash register, serves the food, checks on the dine-in customers and helps his wife in the back kitchen so service might be a little slow. (Whew. I'm tired just writing this review compared to their busy workload). The wife is in the kitchen cooking, prepping the food, washing the dishes, and maintaining a clean kitchen. Hang in there, folks. Give them a try. Help the business and help this couple stay in business. You will be glad that you helped them today. Don't it feel good? Of course.
Food is delicious. I ordered the spicy chicken bowl. For the price they are very generous with their portions. Service is fast. I recommend calling in for your order. As they cook it when you place it, it can take 20 minutes or more to cook. Atmosphere can be better, but if you're going for takeout, it doesn't matter.

The food was definitely worth the price me and my mom ordered 2 musubis and 2 chicken and beef combos absolutely delicious. The service was great and the ambience is definitely that of a small family business which added to the charm l.
This is my early young childhood and adulthood! I love the people here and have been a long time customer for them forever! A bit late for the review but would definitely say that the wait is worth it! Love my chicken katsu plate I get from them <3
First time here mom brought me for the Wonton Seimen. Brought my fiancee and she enjoyed their mixed teriyaki chicken and beef plate. I had the seimen again. OK I will try something else next time, they have Alot to choose from. Until next time have a great day.

Fried noodles. Decent taste. I would order again. Price on Maps menu is incorrect, its almost $12. I came here several times a year before the owner change, food was much better. Teri beef sandwich was good. Then I was here a few years ago after the owner change. I will return.
Had the spicy chicken and kalbi beef. Both tasted good. The rice was excellent, the potato salad was okay. Did take a while to get the food but worth it for the freshness. Great portions for price.

Man. This was a staple of my childhood. And has it changed a lot! Same location, different food. The teri burgers are incredibly expensive now and the quality has totally changed. Perhaps for the better. But I did like the old mini burgers on the small sweet bun with nothing but mayo teri sauce and iceberg. The new way is much more substantial. More veggies Larger portion. Handmade patties. Just different. The shave ice is still very good quality snow. Got my vanilla n Kreme n was happy. Saimin and musubis were pretty yummy. I'm sad its changed n probably wont make the 45 min trip to revisit but it's not bad. Yummy bites if you're in the area. Or just grab a shave ice. It's bomb.
Came here with a friend that is a regular here. I had the beef & mahi mahi combo plate, which includes their macaroni salad and lettuce salad. The beef didn't taste fresh as if it was premade and warmed up in a microwave. The mahi mahi was better, but overcooked 30 seconds too long. The highlight of my meal were their salads. By the way, if you get a combo with a drink-soda, it's a can and not from their soda dispenser. The owners were very friendly and showed me the kitchen since I had inquired about their business for sale sign. I was quite appalled from what I saw. Their kitchen was filthy; it was like something from Kitchen Nightmare with Gordon Ramsay. It appears they haven't cleaned their kitchen in months. I've been in quite a few kitchens since I was previously a business broker and helped restauranters. This place has got to be the dirtiest kitchen I've ever been in. I'm shocked they received an A rating from LACHD. I will never eat here again. I wish the owners much success in selling their business.
