Loved the brisket we got here. It was almost completely dead so we were worried it wouldn't be good, but the food is absolutely great. We have been back now countless times! The brisket and the turkey are the best at a decent price!

Went to Baker’s Ribs for the first time today, and it was nothing short of amazing. My boyfriend got the rib basket and said by far some of the best ribs he has ever ate, fell right off the bone and juicy. I got the pulled pork sandwich and same, was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back! Next on the list is to try the fried pies!

I went there for the First time and had their Ribs and Brisket and Pulled Pork it was all so delicious. The young man was very nice and attentive. I took it to go, but the place had a lot of space for dine in. I will go back if I'm craving Ribs and more.

Very good! I ordered the two meat dinner and asked for pulled pork and brisket. For some reason I received the brisket and sausage. Was with a group and someone else was paying so I ate what I got! It was delicious. Highly recommend!

This was my first time going out to eating BBQ and the food did not disappoint. Our server was so nice to us and very attentive which made the experience even better. We will definitely be telling our friends and family about this place.

I went by late before they closed and got a 2 meat plate, brisket & turkey breast with baked beans and potato salad. The food was great and I didn't eat the whole plate to be full! Thanks again for great service and great food!

I eat here on my work route at least once every 2 weeks or so. Everyone is nice as can be. Food is great and always the same. Cooks are in the back always in a good mood and laughing/singing while working. Fried pies are a treat and the ladies crank them out constantly on the side bakery. Manager is attentive and makes sure the guests are doing well. Place is always clean front and back of house. I enjoy eating here instead of inside my work truck.

Some of the best BBQ I've had in a while. The staff was very friendly. Had pulled pork and pork ribs. Both delicious with a large portion for the money. Probably the only BBQ place that is not trying to earn their complete monthly overhead amount per customer. Will definitely be back.

I had the chopped beef sandwich with the beans and potato salad. The soft bun, smoky meat, and delicious sauce were perfect! The beans were a little spicy, a little smoky, and totally delicious! The potato salad was even better than mine!

Wow what alot of food for your money. I couldn't believe the size of the portions of meat....The Brisket and pulled pork was excellent. The Mac and cheese was also good. I ordered Cole slaw and found that I didn't care for it! Personally!

They have always have amazing staff and the food quality with portion and pricing are more than fair. Love the environment and the especially love the customer service here. Additionally, the place is always cleaned and condiments are stocked at near the soda fountain! Only thing I would ever say just to be helpful is filling those Tabasco bottles, I eat there A LOT and I usually have to get one from another table with my husband. Other than that you cannot go wrong with Bakers Ribs

Loved it. Had beef sandwich w/2 sides and all delicious. Of course the free soft serve is always good. Great place for lunch, casual and friendly. They make their own fried pies and I've never seen such a large list of flavors.

Came down from Oklahoma for business meetings. Had the half smoked chicken, slaw and smoked baked beans. LAWWW-ZZZEEEEEEE!!! I will definitely plan visits in my zone around driving time to Bakers. The meat was so tender and flavorful. And the BEANS----- they changed my life!!!

My husband & I drove 30 miles one way and was NOT disappointed. The BBQ sandwich called Sloppy Joe was the best. You get 3 sandwiches for $10 which is HARD TO BEAT. I also ordered a plain huge brisket sandwich for $10 and chose my bbq sauce. I prefer the Sloppy Joe overall. At the Garland location they prepare and cook their own pies called The Original Fried Pie Shop which are out of this world on flavor. The Hispanic guy who rang me up at register was polite with a great personality. He recommended the peach cobbler and it was equally awesome as the fried pies.

The portions are really big so, I can make 2 meals out of what I order. This is a place that we go to quite frequently and love it every time. 🤗

I cannot wait to go back! For some serious BBQ, best in Dallas area, come to Baker's Ribs - Garland! Mouth watering and melting, fall off the bone ribs. Brisket is superb and seasoned perfectly. The sides! Don't forget the sides! And you must, must, try the fried pie. I was in heaven. They have several pie flavors to choose from.

Been here several times because of location and fried pies. The people here are very friendly and will even offer a sample of the sides if you are trying to decide what to get. Portions are generous and priced reasonably. Meats are tender, smoked just right but could use a little more seasoning or rub to enhance the flavors. Sides include the standard mac n' cheese, pinto and baked beans, cold slaw, potato salad, pasta salad, tomato & cucumber salad, fries, okra and roasted potatoes. The fried pies are the bomb. So large they require two-hands and a couple of napkins on the side because they are that juicy. Would I go back again? You bet especially to try the savory meat pies.

It was a slow night when we went in, we were perhaps one of two families there. Obviously the place was clean and quiet. I did notice someone walk in and grab some ice cream and then walk out though, didn't make a purchase nor was he with anyone so you guys may wanna keep an eye on that. Meat was great, particularly liked the sliced beef.. nice and tender without being too tender. Also had chicken and turkey, both were good as well. Rolls were standard dinner rolls, sauce was a tad on the watery side and was also a sweet barbecue sauce rather than a tangy barbecue sauce. Definitely worth trying and returning to.

This is my go to place for BBQ and has been for several years. The food is really good and the service has been decent. It is pricey but I'd say it is worth it due the portion sizes. I can always eat off of my dinner plates twice. I typically order around dinnertime and have leftovers for lunch the next day. I definitely prefer Baker's over Soulmans.

We love this place so much, and miss the location in Rowlett. I usually get the chopped beef, but I have had the ribs. All of the meat is smoked well and flavorful. The sides are generous. And it’s not overpriced. Their sweet tea is really good and not too sweet like syrup.

Their ribs tasted amazing but unfortunately the beef I got tasted like it was smothered with cigarette ash. Maybe it was a bad batch. The baked beans were very tasty but the macaroni and cheese was bland. One thing I really love about the place was the interior. It’s absolutely fascinating and it’s worth seeing.

The staff was friendly and efficient. There were 7 in my party, and all 7 orders came out correct. This was my first visit. The sauce is proprietary, so is unique. It tasted good, but is not my favorite bbq sauce. My chopped beef brisket sandwich had plenty of meat on it. My fries were perfect-not limp and not over cooked. I tried a fried pie-chocolate, of course. It was delicious. The pies come in many fruit flavors as well. You order and pick up your food at the counter, so not a lot of service actually at the table. When I approached the counter to get a pie after I had eaten my meal, I was acknowledged and helped almost immediately, so they were paying attention even though there were few customers in at the time. There is free soft serve vanilla ice cream with bowls and spoons and cake cones available. The women's restroom was clean and fully stocked, with all fixtures in good working order.

Some of the best brisket, EVER. I know that's a boastful brag in the mecca of BBQ. Just try it yourself. The potato salad is phenomenal, as well as the marinated tomatoes. Give Baker's a try, and you'll see for yourself.

I visit this establishment every now and then and it's hit or miss. My latest two experiences have gone down hill.. Either they are out of something or the sliced brisket was cut in thick blocks and it had no flavor taste like water. 🤢🤮. What happened to the smoke flavor?

3 stars, because the chopped pork sandwich special is always off the chain, but yesterday I ordered something different,& it was way too salty. The brisket tasted as if it was extra salt sprinkled all over it, which I definitely do not need,& the extra salt on baked potatoes mixes in with the meat & potatoes & it's just way too much salt to taste. Other than that, the brisket had a flavorful smoke,& bite, but couldn't enjoy it due to all the salt, too much money spent not to enjoy. :-( .. Hopefully, it'll taste better next time around, or maybe I can request "no extra" salt.

We shared a 3 meat plate. The baked potato was actually baked not steamed in foil, the brisket was juicy & tender, the ribs lots of flavor & the fried coconut pie delicious. The sausage was all filler & no meat, all the meat was greasy & although the brisket was tender & juicy it had little flavor It's so-so bbq

I'm giving them a 3 star rating strictly due to the fried pie. I haven't yet tried this locations bbq the only location i had previously visited and thoroughly enjoyed was the Grapevine location off of 26 by Bass Pro Shop but that location is no longer there and that's a crying shame. I qn unaware if the location simply got moved to another place in Grapevine. I moved away from the area and when i returned they were gone.

Ribs were dry and old tasting, like left over from lunch. Couldn't eat them. Brisket sandwich was good. Baked potato, okra, and potato salad were good.

We love their food. However lately it seems off. Went in one night to get a family pack to go and they gave us undercooked meat. Had they said they didnt have any ready i would have went elsewhere. Had to spend more money to get something else to feed the family and then drive back out there the next day to get the meat replaced.

New owners are not too friendly. BBQ was good, used to be excellent. Potato Salad is still awesome as is homemade peach cobbler, which counts as a Side Dish if you want. Free soft-serve ice cream. I won't be driving 20 miles to eat here any longer.

I wish there was a really good BBQ restaurant near me. Baker's Rib is the best there is close by (that I know of), but I sure wouldn't heartily recommend it. It generally costs two of us about $25-30 to eat there - call me cheap, but I expect some quality food for that price.d I generally get sliced beef, ribs, and baked potato. The last two times I have been there, the baked potato was so cold that it would not melt butter. I don't know about you, but cold baked potato does not entice me. I have taken them back to the counter and asked for hotter potatoes. The first time, I never got a hot potato. The last time, I had to wait about 10 minutes, but they did bring me a hot potato that wasn't quite as done as I like, but at least it was hot and melted the butter. Sometimes the ribs are better than others. Time before last, they were not meaty and not very tasty at all. Last time, they were very good with quite a bit of meat on them. The beef is hit or miss as well. Sometimes, it is very dry. I notice this because I don't like BBQ sauce. Other times, it is moist and flavorful. The people who work behind the counter are rarely helpful or communicative. Dirty tables may be left for the length of time I am there to dine, but it isn't a problem because there are rarely many people eating at the restaurant (I think they have a more robust drive-through crowd). Otherwise, the restaurant is clean and well-maintained.

Their chopped beef-stuffed baked potato is still a great meal. Baked beans were good too. The dining room was empty, only 1 other couple besides us. That was a bit of a surprise, but it was 2pm.

I've never been to this location before and have never been a big fan of their sides. I ordered a chopped Baker. The potato was barely warm, served on styrofoam with cheap margarine instead of butter. The meat was very good but couldn't make for the other things. 2.5 stars.

I always try to be fair, so reviews that that are "just okay" are a little difficult for me to write at times. I feel like this is a small business. You're not greeted when you walk in and up to the counter and the man by the meat, looked at me, blank stare, nothing welcoming. I ordered a large selection to take back to the office for a work lunch. My biggest issues are that the sliced brisket was so dry, I could not eat it, even smothered in sauce. I ordered one "basket" that includes fries, but no fries were received. Now, my bags were all completely packed,, sacked up and ready for me to take. I confirmed each meal prior to checking out. There was only one other couple present when I was there and it was prior to noon, so definitely not busy. I will say that the potato salad was pretty darn good. I'm not saying I won't go back. I just will check everything prior to leaving and will not order the sliced brisket.

Had lunch here today. Mixed results. Wife had the ham sandwich basket. I had the pulled pork basket. French fries with both. The ham was very good, flavorful and enough piled on for at least 2 sandwiches. Pulled pork was not so good. Was really pulled. Mostly like burnt ends. Woul have been okay but was very very dry and tough. Left half of it and helped wife with the ham. Fries were good and very plentiful.

Service was pretty friendly and it was clean. The brisket was incredibly dried out, but the pulled pork was great. Very moist! The biggest disappointment was the fried pie. They're a treat for us, but the ones we got weren't the nice flaky, warm pies we love. The crust was mostly soft and they were actually cold. Very bummed about that and I think I would have preferred none at all, if I had realized they were just left in the case, cold.

The food was good. We asked if they had more cucumber salad, the server said no, maybe 30 minutes later a new batch of cucumber salad came out. Not sure what happened?!

I'm going to be honest here. The food is great. Could use some TLC and some better management. The bathrooms looked like a bomb went off, the soda machine wasn't working and the employees seemed depressed to be there.

The food was dry also when we got home which live right down the road like a 2 min drive the food was almost completely cold. Except my okra which was fried fresh. But everything else was cold. Even the pie had to reheat everything.

I ordered a chopped bbq, potato salad and sliced onions to take home. I was barely greeted and when they brought me the food, it was just handed to me… no thank you, come again, nothing. When I sat down to eat at home I noticed they forgot the onions. I went to put the bbq sauce on my sandwich and it had been thinned down so much it didn’t even taste like bbq sauce. The bbq itself was in small tiny bits (like cooked ground hamburger meat!) and did not even taste like bbq!!! Won’t ever go back!

Ok bar b que and fair sauce. The ribs were the best thing here. The only thing I thought was above average here was a fried pie, and it wasn't great. Plenty of room to eat, clean and friendly staff. I went with another couple or I would not have shopped here. 30.06 and 30.07 signs on the front door. They apparently do not want my business.

My Frito Pie was made with pre-made beef & sauce mixture. I wasn't expecting that. Every other Frito Pie in other BBQ establishments they chop up the meat in front of the customer. I have no idea when that pre-made mixture was made (this morning, yesterday, day before, etc). If presentation is important, it's so much better to see the meat chopped & placed. Also, it wasn't hot because the bucket of pre-made mixture was not on a burner or hot plate.

They don't know how to cut brisket or sausage. I try to call them to express my regrets for purchasing the expensive meat, but their phone goes straight to voicemail, and it's not setup. Wow. I was just going to call to warn them of the bad meal experience.

I called in my order. Arrived 15 minutes later as I was asked to and no one had my order of 1 potato with brisket inside. Employees were in each other's way. Everyone wanted to be a cashier at the same time. I am not sure if they are owners or employees but they acted like kids with no discipline or direction. I had to get some Hispanic male employee to fill my order and he didn't complain like others there that kept getting in the way were doing. Its apparent that there are too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Great Food, Poor Customer Service. FAIL

My experience was not the best. The customer service was lovely. The food...not so much. My potato was so salty that it gave me a really bad headache and was unable to finish eating it. I had such a bad headache....and the ribs were not cooked through. The sausage and the brisket was very salty as well, but the bbq sauce is very good. My sides were wonderful.

NOW I remember why I quit eating at this food chain. I just now went through the drive thru at Belt Line & I30 in Garland. I ordered a sliced beef sandwich, french fries and a large sweet tea. The didn't blink when charging me $13.26 US Dollars. I asked if that was correct. And was assured that total was correct. I will not grace them with my presence again. Not one more time Bakers Ribs. Good job. You got me.

They're ok, but I really miss the Grapevine location. They had brisket burgers and a nice ambiance. It had been remodeled and set up like a sportsbar. It unfortunately burned down a few years or so ago. Seemed they were the best and cleaner looking, more professional, and sides looked way more appealing. This place, the sides always look hum-drum, old, dried out. Eben the brisket it not always tasty and is dry at times. Seems to be ok to older, Caucasian folks.

Ate lunch here on Sunday. Ordered the rib plate. Potato salad, green beans and tomato cucumber salad were great. Ribs were awful. Cold, hard, dry and burnt. Hardly any meat on them. Seemed like they were left over from the day before. Not fresh. Very disappointed because they are usually the best ribs around and I spent almost $22

Quality in the brisket has diminished over the years. This use to be my favorite place and I have told many people bout it. If you go through the drive thru make sure to check your meat. They have given me dry brisket in the past but I still go back to eat inside because I’ve never had a problem. I went the other day on Sunday and it has got to be some of the toughest brisket I’ve had from anywhere in a long time. I had to clamp my teeth down and pull. I ended up just getting a knife and cutting into small pieces. Also, not a lot of bark or smoke ring…and the use to have an ice cream machine (both locations in Mesquite and Garland) and both locations have been broken for at least the last 6 months. Just take them out if you’re not going to fix them. I’ll be looking for a new place in the area to spend my money and refer friends to because this ain’t what it is. I’m going to go back one more time in the future and post a video review to show people on socials. People who work there are cool though.

If I could give 0 stars I would !! I went for my first time based off of reviews I thought my expierence would be outstanding .. it was NOT !! I ordered the The Baker BBQ potato and asked for my cheese and butter on the potato instead of on the side.. the lady so rudely said NOPE you’ll have to do it yourself . I was fine with that until I got my food and the cheese was MOLDED !!!!! 3 different sides of cheese was molded !! I WILL NEVER RETURN

Usually I don't post but this experience was just bad. No one else waiting, girl gets attitude when asked couple questions about the options on family pack. She rudely sighs. I let it go. Then guy handling the food digs in his nose talking to coworkers and never washed. I should have cancelled then but I was tired and craving bbq. To continue, sighing girl has long pointed nails and drops condiment on the floor, takes a long time to pick it up, then drops it in my bag without any concerns. Nasty and disrespectful. Girl taking my $ has bad attitude but looking for tip on my receipt. Are you serious? I'm a tipper but this time, Nope! To top it off the ribs were dry and tasteless, the beans were scorched and the rolls were hard. Please reevaluate and improve behaviors. Your customers deserve better.

I spent $20 bucks every day there for the last 3 weeks. The lady was more worried about counting money and doing other orders. Then me....the only customer in the building. My togo order was messed up. Then when they got my order right. I have no BBQ SAUSE or silverware. Will no longer spend my money at this BBQ place. Next time take care of your regulars Sliced brisket dry at 10:55am

Service is bad I went in for 2 brisket sandwich plates and gave me wrong order... and I told him and he gave me 2 buns and said here just add the meat on top 🤦36$ and I gotta still put my order together when I get home 😡

I ordered the 2 meat plate, ribs and pulled pork. What little meat that was on the ribs was dry & very tough to chew, threw 'em out. My 2 sides was potato salad and pinto beans. The potato salad was ok but the beans weren't fresh they was like caked up and thick-NASTY. They shoved everything together in a plate and the Texas toast was mashed so bad didnt even look like bread. Very disappointing to say the least. And they charged me $2 for a cup of water. Will I be back? Hell No.

Go there all the time spend alot there every time..last 2 times absolutely horrible horrible horrible ribs ( JOKE ) no meat brisket dry and bad taste actually a weird taste...Mac and cheese blah no taste chicken under cook Pototoe Salad and toast and pie was good ....but don't know if we will continue to come to this location

We went in on a Saturday night around 8, they were already closing down and the place was filthy, I mean nasty . We almost left but we’re starving and had eaten there before. The brisket was so fatty and greasy and the floors were so greasy that I almost fell. No service at all, we had to ask for things several times. Anyway turns out I got so sick that night, like up all night throwing up! We will never go back. Rudy’s all the way!

I went to the drive through today December 22, 2025. I ordered 1 pound of atty brisket and two 16 oz family sides. Every time I told the guy what I wanted he would say "anything else". I felt rushed and like he was blowing me off. When the guy repeated my order, he didn't say fatty brisket. I asked him to please make sure it was fatty brisket I repeated it two times. When he came to the window to take payment I asked him if I could get sliced bread. He told me it did not come with bread. He didn't even offer to sell me any. I also asked if there was bbq sauce in the bag. He said yes I get home and he gave me two ounce packets. How is that enough for a pound of bbq?! Not even worth my time to drive up there! I spent $50 on dinner for it to be dry brisket. Bbq sauce would have maybe helped if I had any to put on it! . Oh and we didn't get pickles, onions or any other condiments. We've had this experience before and decided to give it another try. This place has really gone down hill. I doubt this place will be in business much longer. RIP

This is my honest opinion. I never want to give a bad rating that might hurt someone's business. While I appreciate the reasonable price point, the quality of the food was disappointing. Everything lacked seasoning and taste—it was just bland. The mac and cheese had no flavor at all, and I could barely see the pepper bark on the brisket. Although the ribs did fall off the bone, they were also lacking in seasoning and flavor. I was just driving through Dallas and wanted something quick to eat; I probably should have just gone to Whataburger, which was right across the street. The next time I come back to Dallas, I will not be visiting this place again.

It pains me to write this review. I have always loved this place and remember when they first opened. They have always been consistent. What a disappointment this time. I should have left when I saw the guy behind the counter (kitchen) take of his cap and passionately scratch his head. I thought "well that's gross." Instead, I decided to see how he handled the food. He slipped on a glove and pulled out the cutting knife never touching the meat-- I was relieved! It had been awhile since I have visited, so I didn't realize they were now selling dry, hard, old ribs that were not even consumable. I am prayerful this was just an off day on the food (12/20). Please work on training your staff on food handling skills. Scratching your head or doing anything with hair behind the counter is not acceptable.
