Absolutely spectacular! From beginning to end the choices of wine from their private collection were so excellently paired with the food, we were left speechless. Thank you so for the perfect honeymoon experience!

R

I’m not sure where to begin. Our entire experience far exceeded my expectations— which were quite high given the reviews from friends who had been already. The pre dinner drinks next door is a must— exceptional service and we were able to mingle with some of our dinner guests and get to know them prior to dinning with them. Our dinner was, hands down, the best meal I’ve ever eaten. The food was amazing, the staff was top notch, the drinks were delicious, our company was lively and the music... the music was a nice surprise. Thank you FLX Table, you all are rockstars! We will return!

Where to begin? FLX Table is something fun and special. It's about the experience as much as the amazing food. The intimate setting and "surprise " menu is such a welcome change from the predictable. We've visited three times and thoroughly enjoyed each meal. Attentive staff and expert sommelier to inform us about the unique wine pairings. Fun venue as well. Thank you!

Food was amazing, dining experience was great, staff friendly and knowledgeable, setting was cool. Loved, loved, loved the hip hop playlist that night. Will definitely recommend and look forward to coming back. Thanks so much for the birthday touch!

We have eaten at FLX Table twice and have really enjoyed our evenings. Great meals with lots of great flavors. Several wine pairing options are available if you are interested - beer is also an option. Enjoyed the farm to table dining room and atmosphere. We enjoyed getting to know the other 12 diners at the farmtable we all shared - fun folks, nice to meet them all. Those who ran the evening at FLX Table - Scott, Alex, Michail and Gary - all did a great job. Thanks for the fun and delicious evenings! We will be back :- )

This is a must-do in the Fingerlakes. The meal was delicious, well-balanced, and priced far less than I would have paid for it. The wine pairings were thoughtful and, at times, interesting. While we started the dinner as strangers, everyone left as friends after this single-table, multi-course, multi-hour meal. I will be back.

Incredible service, delicious and creative food and very fun night! Will return!

Food and wine pairing was excellent. Workers were knowledgeable and fun. Setting in an old building in Geneva was cool. I think it would have been even better if it would not have been for covid-19 and having to space the tables out, because there would have been more interaction with the other patrons.

Wonderful food and dining experience. Found the recommendation in The NY Times and it was great! Does food and drink taste better when someone tells you where it came from and how it was prepared? Sure did for us. So glad we found this gem in Geneva.

After wanting to visit for a year or so, we were finally able to make time on our vacation to attend a seating. We paired our meal with the Baller pairing and a pre dinner tasting. What a wonderful experience, the service was outstanding, the food ample and delicious but the standout was how wonderful all the wines were that both my husband and I were served. Each course was thoughtfully presented, the Chef and Sommelier both educated the table on our dishes and drinks. Honestly, a 5 star experience. If you are considering dining at the Table, do so. It's such a memorable moment.

One of the best dining experiences I've had included delicious 5 course meal with a table of 12 strangers (and a friend of mine)! Every course outdid the last and the chef even came to chat with me about my dietary needs. The hosts were so friendly and attentive and I can't wait to go again.

K
Kevin Hallinan

This was the most wonderful dining experience of my life. Each “tasting” had an array of tastes and textures and flowed from one to another like a gentle stream. With children, while I can’t and shouldn’t have a favorite, I can love each one in a different way. That’s how I felt about the courses in the meal tonight. They were all my favorite, but each in a different way.

Truly one of the best dining experiences in the area, without being stuffy. The whole staff puts forth an effort to make you feel welcome. Do not expect Applebee’s. If you want generic microwaved food, go elsewhere. FLX is a unique experience; different every time. Each of the five courses and wine pairings are well thought out and executed perfectly by a professional chef. Pro tip: get one of their wine packages with your dinner.

Mark Poepping

Fantastic personal experience - great service, unique and dynamic delivery. Relaxed meal far from cheap but an extraordinary treat. Make sure you join in with wine pairings - mixing it up at your table gives more opportunity for diversity of tasting.

I wish I could give this place an extra star or two. Sarah was a fantastic host, Hanna was funny and provided an excellent course of meals, and Keith provided amazing wine pairings with each course. We will absolutely be back not just for the food, but for the staff!

All of the F.L.X. restaurants are amazing, but Table is by far our favorite. They have the best food I have ever eaten, amazing staff, and the atmosphere is very unique. My husband and I came here the night we got engaged, and even booked the whole place for our wedding reception! They definitely made it a very special night for us. You will not regret a night at this restaurant. Their care and concern for their customers is also beyond compare.

M

Best meal I've had in the finger lakes. So much care was taken for all of the food and everything was delicious. The wine pairings were also well worth the price and a truly great diverse selection. Loved the boho/family vibe of the place. Truly a uniquely great experience in the area.

My favorite restaurant up in the FLX region. The food was absolutely perfect. There was a small issue with my reservation but the staff was so accommodating and helpful. The wine pairing I did was the Baller Pairing, and I loved, loved, loved all the wines served. If you are in the area it is definitely worth stopping in.

My husband and I had dinner here last night - it was a treat. The food was fresh and tasty, the staff was incredibly cordial, and we left feeling like we'd been to a fun dinner party. Geneva has a great ambiance, part gritty, part cool, and eating at the FLX Table was a relaxed and delicious experience.

N
Nick Bruno

I will venture to say this was one of the best meal experiences I've ever had. In a completely unsuspecting building/storefront in Downtown Geneva NY, you find this amazing gem. On top of 5 star level food, their customer service-- the warm and friendly feeling you get when they greet you at the door, makes the whole experience feel like you're at a old buddy's house for a snazzy dinner party. Everything from the beer and wine pairings, to the octopus gazpacho, to the fun desert was top notch and well worth the price tag.

C
Christopher DeCerce

The food was amazingly executed with the pairings. The bread with the whole garlic gloves inside was especially delicious. The dinner team was attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing the entire experience.

A

Extremely unique in that you do not get to pick the menu. Personally I really enjoyed our fare, my fiancee is not a fan of some off the beaten path dishes so it wasn't her fancy. Nonetheless we agreed it's a fun twist and an opportunity to try something new. The souve egg was unreal, so good!!!

A

We were lucky enough to be the only table seated the night we went and what an incredible dining experience it was! Wine was paired perfectly with our meal, staff was informative, friendly and attentive, food was absolutely delicious.

OMG, what an exquisite experience! The food was incredible. The wine impeccable. The setting, the service, the experience-beyond wonderful. The chef is a true artist. We had a fantastic time!

Unique dining experience. One table with 14 chairs, prixe fixe menu, optional wine pairing. Different menu every night. Fantastic food. Loved everything. Had the middle wine pairing, which was outstanding and perfectly paired. Even the bread and butter options are amazing. Very difficult reservation. Expensive, but worth it.

Fantastic dining experience! This restaurant reminded me a bit of cruise ship dining, in that the menu is set when you walk in. They will definitely take dietary restrictions and allergies into account, but don't worry about not liking something—everything is meticulously prepared using fresh and in-season ingredients. The flavors blended together perfectly, the chef is a culinary expert, she knows what she's doing. While we didn't drink, they have an excellent and knowledgeable sommelier on staff who will choose wine pairings for you that I'm sure are perfect. No one around us had any complaints about the drinks. The other support staff were attentive and friendly.

J
Jim Brule

An amazing evening of culinary delight, shared around a table of 12! The kitchen is part of the room, and the chef treats us to all kinds of insights into the dishes. Prix fixe, not inexpensive but of the highest quality. Highly recommended for a special night out!

c
caroline kobick

Wonderful experience. Not at all pretentious as another reviewer mentioned. Also thought the price for a 5 course pre fix was more than fair, and we didn’t leave hungry. The food was well done. The wine pairings were superb. The atmosphere was light, intimate, and fun.

P
Pam Koharchik

They make dining an experience with deliciously crafted food, the backstory to the dishes and clear attention to detail, especially with wine pairings (an additional $59-$179 depending on your wallet and style. My husband and I split one and it was enough for both of us). And get an additional bread to take home. It's divine.

We visited for a private five course wine pairing dinner experience as a large bachelorette group. From the minute we walked in every employee was absolutely wonderful and our group had so much fun. We had quite a few dietary restrictions and they were all accommodated beautifully with delicious dishes. They truly went above and beyond! From surprising us by bringing out more wine varieties to educate us about different Rieslings when we asked questions, to helping out our group when our driver was delayed at the end of the night, the service was absolutely above and beyond all expectations. We even had personalized menus with Best Wishes for the Bride to Be and they allowed decorations. Absolutely our favorite experience in the Finger Lakes and a big thank you to everyone at F.L.X table!

L

I can’t say we ate dinner at F.L.X. Table last night because the experience is more than just dinner. This is an experience where you learn as you eat and drink if you choose to do so. We showed up a half and hour early to enjoy a cocktail before our seating. They had a half a dozen cocktails as well as several wines and beers on the drink menu. When you’re called to your table, they seat you and then explain to the room what the menu is for the evening as well as what the different wine and beer pairings are you can choose from. If you drink, just do it. They’re good at it. It was a 5 course meal with a lot of local produce and meat. The food was prepared perfectly and it was over the top delicious. The courses are small but fear not. You’ll be waddling out the door. I can see where this place would not be for everyone because you don’t have a choice in what they serve you. I’m lucky because I love all food with the exception of vegetable oil. They will ask you about food allergies so don’t worry about that.

S

Wine focused restaurant with farm-to-table cooking. Fairly standard fare (risotto, lamb), but prepared with top ingredients and simply. The ajoblanco was the standout when we visited. The wine pairings are superb, both the least expensive and second. A good range of odd ball and difficult to find wines that are still delicious and pair well.

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Really, it is an experience with high quality food, wine pairing, and interactive staff. Chef Brian was so nice and answered all of our questions about the food. The whole staff, especially the chef, made us feel special. The staff was professional, friendly, and personable. The menu was creative and the table set up was nice. I left this place feeling like the restaurant wanted to make sure you had the best experience possible. They truly put the art in cooking and gave us a show. Food wise, the dishes were unique and very flavorful. It was eclectic in design. All the dishes were explained in detail. We left with a nice and suspenseful treat at the end. On a side note, I went during the COVID pandemic and I felt very comfortable. They took extra precautions and made sure the dining experience was safe. They asked for any allergies beforehand and remembered them when we arrived as well. Highly recommended (especially for date night or a celebration in a large group)!

Had the most amazing experience at FLX Table tonight. Really unique menu of gourmet food with fantastic wine pairings. Very personal - open kitchen area very close to the dining room - with attentive, professional staff. Highly recommend!

Couldn't have been a more pleasurable experience. I won't spoil it too much (you have to go and see for yourself!), but the food, service, and company were incredible. Not many places you can go out to dinner and be simultaneously pushed out of your comfort zone to try something new. They also did a fantastic job of accommodating my vegan dietary restriction!! If you can, definitely get some sort of wine pairing with the meal. These people know what they're doing and they don't disappoint. (:

We had a lovely tasting menu with wine pairings from Finger Lakes wineries. Each course was well conceived and the pairings were perfect. I love not only the well executed food but the creativity with items like chicken hearts.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. I firmly believe you have to do the wine pairing to get the best experience. The veggie platter was some of the most freshest and delicious vegetables I have ever had followed by amazing dishes including the duck! The wine was amazing we did the Notorious which featured great vintage wine. Great service too!

Once in a lifetime experience! This was a bucketlist outing for Kim. I was able to get reservations for her 50th birthday and WOW did FLX Table live up to the expectations. From our pre-dinner glass of wine to the toasted marshmallows on the way out the door, this experience brought a whole new level to first class. I will add to this review once we get home and I can type on the computer as I would be shortchanging the experience another way.

I had an outstanding dining experience at FLX Table! From the moment we arrived, the ambiance set a sophisticated yet welcoming tone. The service was impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. The tasting menu was a culinary masterpiece, each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The combination of creativity and quality ingredients was remarkable. The thoughtful wine pairings complemented each course perfectly. It’s clear that FLX Table is dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to indulge in a memorable meal!

My boyfriend and I went here for Valentines Day and it was nothing like either of us have experienced before. We loved everything about it and will be returning back. The food was amazing and they were very accommodating to me being a pescatarian. They shared their extensive knowledge of food and wine and everyone was super friendly. Thank you! (:

“Farm-to-table” concepts have become hackneyed and often fail to live up to the promise. Not so at F.L.X. Table. Each course highlighted invigorating, seasonal ingredients executed masterfully. The intimate, “family style” seating completes the convivial atmosphere and affords one the opportunity to enjoy great food—and libations—with new friends.

S
Sara Gardephe

I love this place for an indulgent night out. Come with an open mind and an adventurous palate! I've only been twice and the menu was quite different each time. I love that the chef shares his inspiration and sourcing for the different courses along the way. The sommelier is also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful whether you want just one drink or one of their pairing experiences.

Really enjoyed our meal here. The food was incredible, the wine pairings were delicious and it was a nice, cozy/cute atmosphere. Sitting at a communal table was awesome - very much felt like a fancy dinner at a friend’s place where you are meeting new people. Well… If your friend can cook damn good food and serves awesome wine. Enjoyed it and would recommend to everyone who visits the finger lakes or for a special occasion.

I took my husband here for his birthday. We are vegetarians and indicated that easily when making the reservation. We chose the FLX wine pairing with our meal. I can’t express how perfect our entire evening was!! The service was sublime- friendly but quiet and attentive. The sommelier was knowledgeable, well spoken and had such great taste. Each wine complimented our food perfectly. The food was the best we’ve had in a looong time or ever, really. The chef’s skills were amazing and our vegetarian substitutions were well crafted and thoughtful. The entire atmosphere was relaxed and warm but we felt like we were eating at an exclusive restaurant and being catered to. We give FLX table as many stars as possible and can’t wait to return!!

Small place, it was suggested from our server at Ardeen brewery, becouse there kitchen has closed earlier. Our charcuterie was lovely. Wanted to stay a bit longer but we had been driving for about six hours and we were both a bit beat.

Highly recommend! Such a wonderful intimate experience. Reservations are required and you pay in advance for 6 course menu. They seat 12-20 ish people per meal. They have an opportunity to put in any dietary needs. The food was unique and flavorful, presentation was fun. It was a great date night and worth the cost by far! The chef explains each dish and the wait staff was very friendly. They offer wine and beer pairings as well as drinks by the glass. Many people were there for celebration, which they acknowledged! Looking forward to going back.

FLX Table was absolutely a highlight of our Finger Lakes trip. From the service, to the wine, to the food, and finally the overall vibes - everything was excellent. I really appreciated the intimate atmosphere, while also everyone still having their own table. I also appreciated the interactive wine experience and various alcohol options overall. The food was also incredibly local and fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant, and will be back next time we're in the area.

A must in the finger lakes. The intimate restaurant seats 12 and the menu changes daily. When we went the duck was out of this world but the ‘market board’ is the dish we can’t stop talking about. Fresh fruit and veggies with dips and spreads you wouldn’t believe. An amazing experience

Original, creative, sensational food experience in a relaxing, fun setting. It is amazing what the team was able to create with such a small kitchen. I tried foods I never had before and was blown away with the taste of the pairings they made. It was a 2.5 hour duration that flew right by. I highly recommend enjoying this experience. Definitely worth a special trip!

We had a wonderful dining experience at F.L.X Table. Our host was very friendly and professional. The snacks at the beginning of the meal were the best and so were the oysters with caviar. The sommelier paired some great wines with the set dinner. Love the seasonal and local ingredients used for the meals.

I can't say enough wonderful things about our dinner at FLX Table. Like others have mentioned, the staff are so warm and welcoming. The food is outstanding and so fresh. The aerated hollandaise sauce was unbelievable. I highly recommend dinner at FLX Table. It was a great experience.

Hands down best dining experience I've had recently. Fantastic food, wonderful ambiance, and such lovely staff. We really enjoyed the wine pairings with dinner as well. Great selections in the provisions shop too! We're already planning to come back back in the fall - can't wait.

This is a must-try experience for sure! Service from start to finish is excellent. We were met with a sense of familiarity and warmth, akin to visiting a good friend's home rather than a high-end restaurant. I can understand where some may have misgivings because these are not your typical steakhouse meals. Taste-wise, the food is very good. When you take into consideration the thought and technique involved, it easily justifies the prix fixe cost. What makes this experience 'great', however, is the drink pairing. Do it. As the designated driver, I had the mocktail pairing. My preparer presented each drink just as the sommelier would introduce the wines to each table, so I felt included. My husband had the Baller pairing, which exposed him to higher-end wines he might not have ever tried. All in all, very fun. We highly recommend it!

This was a lovely dinner to wrap up our honeymoon in the Finger Lakes. My husband is a chef and was thrilled with the level of service and the food. We had a wonderful dinner. Their COVID precautions were excellent and we felt comfortable during our entire meal. Our only hiccup was getting a ride home at the end of the night (no reliable car services) but management helped get us a ride home and we were so grateful! We look forward to taking an anniversary trip one day and dining with F.L.X. Table again!

The restaurant is one of the best I have ever been. The communion table is a great way to meet other foodies and wine drinkers. The food is fresh and the menu is amazing. The staff is super friendly and the service is on point. Definitely would go back when I visit Seneca Lake again

We dined here with 2 other couples for the 5:45 seating on Sept. 29 and it was everything we had hoped for in the experience. We are in our mid-30s and our other dining companions that evening were the same. I'm not sure if it always ends up like that, but we saw the 8:15 seating and they were probably in their 50s or 60s for anyone that's wondering about which time to go. We initially wanted the 8:15 seating but liked being able to go for a drink beforehand, enjoy dinner, and finish by 8 and have time for a nightcap after. The setting is modern farmhouse and casual, just like you would be in someone's home. We started with vegetables and bread from Amazing Grains and 4 different butters and even more dips. It was an auspicious start. Most of the courses were vegetable focused but even my less adventurous dining companions loved everything. Our favorite was the poached halibut that was cooked to perfection. I will probably never have a fish cooked that perfectly again. Dessert was poached pears with pistachio, a crumb cake, brown butter caramel and meringue. I highly recommend dining at FLX Table. We had a wonderful and delicious time and look forward to returning. Tip for reserving: I made my reservation for Sept. 29 at 1:30 PM on August 1. The reservation opened at 12 noon and the 8:15 seating was already taken. Get on as close to 12 noon if you need a specific date and time.

Wonderful experience with quality food! Definitely on the pricey side but you are paying for the experience, not just the food! The one thing that needed kicked up was the dessert...we were served an Amish hand pie with strawberry and apple filling...just ehh. Nothing inventive or exciting with that compared to the rest of the meal! That is the only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating...

What an incredible experience!! Food was insanely good and exciting. Pace of the meal was excellent. I could eat the local salt bread with the chimichurri and truffle cottage cheese and duck schmaltz all day every day. Perfectly cooked octopus in nettle soup, perfectly cooked pork belly with carrot purée. Interesting boba cheese tea with tortillas and roasted honey mallows. Pairings were curated by a sommelier that customized everyone’s experience based on their preferences - really impressive. And the mocktail pairing was bomb, too. A bit hectic at the start because we were their second seating and they were still wrapping up the first tho encouraged us to come early for a welcome drink. Otherwise, would absolutely return for a fabulous meal.

M
Matt Martinez

Cool atmosphere, friendly and obviously passionate service. Delicious food, though slightly small portions. Maybe I am jaded (and very lucky to drink interesting and old wines on the reg) but I did not think the Notorious pairing on the night we went was really worth the price.

J
Jason Davis

Overall good experience, part of an anniversary celebration for my wife and I. Sommelier rushed, but the selections for our "Fun" pairing were spot on. With a menu that changes, I'm not sure it's worth picking apart the food, but the vegetable board, venison course and apple-focused dessert were excellent. If you can afford the experience, it's well worth it.

Really a lot of fun. The staff were wonderful and the food was interesting. Can't wait to come back when they can do the communal tables again

Food was great. Portions were a little small even with 5 course we left and went to Fry Bird for mac and cheese after. For the price you would like to think you don't need to eat somewhere after. But everything was cooked to perfection and looked beautiful. Wines and service were the highlight of the experience! My husband did the beer pairing and was very happy with that as well!

We shared a great night out with friends at FLX Table. It’s a fun environment and an interesting idea. There is one large table of about 14 people. The staff have great winning personalities and work hard at making it a fun experience for all. The menu is the menu, you eat what they prepare, there are really no choices. I liked everything, some people in our group didn’t like each course, but there are several, so even if you don’t like one, there are more to come. It’s worth a trip if you’re in the area.

M
McKenzie Doss

I do want to note that my husband and I reserved the private dining area with the upgraded wine pairings so we expected it to be more expensive, however, it was unfortunately not worth the $1,000 for the dinner and the upgraded wine pairing. The wine was beautifully curated to the food and tried some wines we had never had and our server Link was awesome. The food was good (not GREAT) but nothing was hot. We were in a private room with the main table in another room and it felt like we were kind of forgotten in terms of the food. It was like they catered to the big table and then brought ours back to the table when they had a second. The sommelier was so incredibly knowledgeable but he spoke so quickly, I couldn’t keep up and I would have loved to learn a bit more from him. Overall, I would recommend sitting at the table and not getting a private seating because it didn’t seem to be worth the money. The food is the biggest piece of this puzzle if they could get a bit more creative with their dishes and continued with unique wine selections this would be fantastic. This was the most expensive meal we have ever had and we have traveled to many places to eat around the world and several Michelin rated restaurants (all with wine pairings) and none of them were $1,000+ for 2 people.

We had a great experience at the Finger Lakes Table. It was unique, delicious, and fun. My only critique is that it was pretty fast paced and over quicker than expected. Given the group table setup I wish there was more time for conversation and eating. Fantastic wine selection and impressive sourcing of the food.

First time here, and it's pretty good. I'm not sure why people were complaining about the vegetable plate, but we enjoyed it. The bread was baked fresh on the spot. My table did the tasting with the FLX wine pairing, and I got the beer one and overall pretty good selection of wines and very informative. Small plates, but you won't leave starving. If you're going to be in the area, make a reservation and give it a shot.

We had a big group of people to celebrate friend's birthday. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. The service throughout the night is fantastic - seamless in a way that you won't feel their existence but everything is taken care of from half empty water glasses, finished plates to new silverware. The environment is warm and absolutely love the family style seating. Unfortunately the food was supposed to be the highlight of the experience but it felt short. Every dish was good just nothing amazing which is a common theme in upstate NY I find. They did try to create unique combination of flavors. I think the idea is great but flavors aren't concentrated enough for certain dish to bring each other up. Some dishes had unbalanced profile with one spice overpowering the rest of the dish disrupting tasting experience. Rounding up from 3.5 stars. Still worth experiencing.

Secret wine pairing was outstanding. Food some hits, but misses too. Food prep misses some attention to detail than what you'd expect at this price point. Worth a visit all the same.

We came on July 4th last year, and they had a special tasting menu for that night. I felt the experience rushed, as we were ushered out immediately after our last bite, so they could seat the second group of the night. The first course was a full board of different kinds of vegetables. The second course and the third course were almost repeats. The only highlight was the wine pairing which was very good. However, I was a bit let down by the overall experience.

I really wanted to give this place 4 stars, but I just can't, considering how disappointing the food was. Initially, I was very excited to try out FLX Table. It has great ratings and a great reputation, so I had high expectations going into this experience. The setting/atmosphere: This place has great ambience. It has a humble-yet-elevated vibe, which is a fun paradox and creates an interesting personality. The server and sommelier were nice, and I enjoyed the chef's food explanations and personal interactions. Overall, I loved the way they designed the experience of the meal. The food: Most of the courses we were served were sadly lacking. For the first course, I found the mixture of raw and prepared fruits and vegetables to be quite unappealing. I'm not sure if it was because they were sitting out for a while, but it wasn't an enjoyable experience. The bread and range of condiments that accompanied them were good, but the whole thing felt ill-fitting and texturally confused. The second course had great flavor but was essentially a garnish on the rim of an empty plate. Disappointing. The third course, congee, was a decent attempt but lacking in flavor. Having enjoyed a good amount of authentic congee in the past, this was a huge letdown. The "main" meat course which followed was fine but forgettable. The dessert had some nice subtlety to it and was the best part of the meal, but was too little too late. I doubt I'll return, as it's too expensive to court disappointment again. But I hope the food may improve so that FLX Table can offer a truly great restaurant experience in Geneva.

I made a reservation very early for our dinner and included all allergies. The night of our dinner one dish was excluded because of allergies, no problem. My issue is that I was served a cob or corn instead with a dip dish. I feel the restaurant had plenty of time to coordinate an alternate dish for me and others that also had allergies.

Great wine, great atmosphere, great service. It fell down on the food. One course was fried smelt and I do not feel head and tails are consistent with fine dining. Dessert was also very dry for a honey cake.

Dinner was a fun long-table gathering with great wait staff. The wine pairings were excellent-recommended. The food, on the other hand, was good for two of the dishes, the other three being a bit coarse and not cooked through. I expected a more carefully prepared and presented meal for the price of the evening.

This was certainly an experience. The best part of the meal was the bread. The items on menu the night we were there didn't seem to go together. The cold cooked vegetables were weird, especially as it was below freezing outside. Nothing was spectacular, one dish, in my opinion, was not good at all, and for the price I expected spectacular. The seating was set up in such a way that our party of six couldn't all talk to each other. We did not order wine flights, but others dining did, and every time the sommelier came out they were extremely loud in explaining to the other diners what they were getting. The staff were all very kind and attentive. There are other places with better food that cost less and you get to choose what you want to eat.

My partner and I were really looking forward to this place to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately, compared to the reviews here and what I'd heard from others, we felt that our experience definitely fell short. The first, most glaring thing was that the fire alarm in the dining room was out of batteries and was doing the awful *screeching* sound all through dinner right above the tables. The staff was looking at each other and no one seemed to know what to do. I really wanted to grab a ladder and go up there to change the batteries myself to make it stop. This went on through the *whole dinner* in a very small dining room. By the end all the diners (and staff!) seemed ready for it to just be over so we could get out of the room. The food was pretty good, but honestly just okay through all the courses. The wine pairings were excellent and we really enjoyed those. Overall, for the price the food definitely under performed, but the real bummer was the screeching sound every few seconds that ruined the experience.

We sat for the Super Secret Wine Shop Dinner ($300/person) and upgraded to the Super Freaky Wine Tasting (additional $165/person.) Our compliments to the sommelier. It was a well selected unique wine combination and his insight and passion truly added to the experience. The wine selection was worth the upgrade — bravo! However, the broader experience was eclipsed by the dining service. We were disappointed and don’t think the price tag was worth the food. Our honest observation: the concurrent $89 diners took away the majority of the staff’s time, resulting in a mediocre experience for the “exclusive secret diners”. This ultimately lead to an awkward pacing of the meal. The beginning was stalled leading to a rushed latter half. What should have been hot appetizers were served cold, and the main courses being prematurely removed. There was also some issues with the kitchen, for example, the tzatziki was "off" and made with sweet vanilla yogurt and the chef confirm the mishap of ingredients. However, there was no remedial measures taken for said mistake. The dining portion of the experience did not live up to our expectations and we believe can be improved. We think the complexity of the palate is there. What dampened this whole experience is the service.

Not worth it if you are not drinking. They put a great deal of effort into the wine pairing which I imagine makes up where the food was lacking. 1 dish was great 3 were decent. Not worth the money for me. Except I will definitely be going back to their store for the homemade focaccia. That bread made the whole thing worth it to try once.

Was so looking forward to this for like 5 years. Love the idea of a supper club and thought it was going to be special with Christopher Bates and all. No Christopher! It was so over priced for what we got. There is no stove in kitchen, just hot plates, an acrylic bin of boiling water and an oven. Lamb cheeks were boiled in a plastic bag and we each received one. Just like other courses- one scallop, one bite of fro is gras. We felt rushed, but we did the first dinner, maybe the 8:00 one is more relaxed? And don’t get me started on the apple butter with everything?!?! Paying that much for an experience and to be so utterly disappointed. It is a good idea but maybe it was great before. Not anymore.

Pretensious! I have no problem shelling out the $600 FLX Table charges for a private Dining experience for my wife and I. But when you charge a premium for a service and fall as short as they did I need to talk about it. And here,we,go….. First course consisted of essentially a bad, semi flacid (mostly limp) crudités with a few dips and butters that were flat, bland and flavorless. Second course was a play on a bowl of ramen. What a lackluster attempt. The broth was not built properly, flat,no body, not a hint of umami. Third course was rubbery over worked chicken meatball with a poor attempt at a puttanesca and a parmasen crisp. Fourth course a teeny tiny little baby duck breast that wasn’t cooked properly (duck 101;cook scored fat side down slowly to develop a crispy texture) basically inedible. The sauce and veg were forgettable and not worth mentioning. Then there’s dessert, surely would be great since they mention a pastry chef in the description of the dining experience. Literally one slice of an apple 2 dime size pieces of a sponge cake with a little granola (hidden valley oats and honey) and a tablespoon of crème fraiche. We were really hoping for gastronomic experience to remember and we will; but for all the wrong reasons. Now we weren’t expecting The likes of the French Laundry, Boulud or Le Bernardin. We were expecting some higher end provisions maybe a oyster or some scallop’s possibly some wagu or god forbid some frois gras. A word to the owners, pack your team up and take the drive to Albany and feed them a pre fixe from Yono’s and take notes on how a fine dining experience is supposed to go. Hold tight to the 2017 best of mention because it’s safe to say that was the peak of your establishment.

Could not have been more excited to be coming here for my fiancee's birthday. A rather disjointed start with the previous seating running over into the next time slot. After getting a round of drinks and waiting for them to turn the tables over all three groups were brought in. We are essentially all facing each other with no introduction or why we were all here (anniversaries, birthdays etc.). Common ground is great instead of awkwardly not trying to look around while we eat. To start pairing options were presented with no other single glass/ bottle/ or beer options presented. Farmers board to start with some great veggies, and dipping sauces as well as a loaf of bread and assorted butters. Interesting to note a review from 2 years ago mentions the same rubber duck style form for center butter (doesn't make it feel very special). We are pretty open minded eaters and we like to go out and try new places often and for the price expected a pretty well thought out experience. Pickled duck hearts with a beef broth were not bad. Next was a Leek and Chanterelle Mushroom dish where the chef could be seen pouring pre-made sauces out of containers similar to a Chinese take out containers for dumplings. Then the ask for the up-charge of an additional shaving of black truffle. Wine pairings and dishes throughout seemed rushed. Duck a L'orange with quinoa was super sugary sweet duck (again pre-made sauce poured out of to go container) and over salted quinoa. It was almost inedible. Near the end we received a popcorn box with a party hat and mardi gras beads (neither of which are very eco friendly, for a place that sources local and would hopefully be more thoughtful in that respect). Then we finally found out why we each of us were there. The manager "comedically" dropped/threw a fake cake at my fiancee for her birthday, and the other two parties were celebrating anniversaries. Which finally sparked conversation for the last 15-20 min of the meal. The lemon curd cakes in little skillets were tasty. Then we were rushed out due to covid restrictions (wouldn't have been as much of a rush if they had the first dinner party out on time) This all being said. The Staff was nice, but the experience and food was just way off from the price paid. It felt contrived/unnatural kind of like a poorly practiced play and was extremely underwhelming. I really wish them the best in the future as I love supporting local restaurants and hope they can go back to the drawing board to create something special.

Unfortunately our experience was not positive. We only dined once but the food felt very uninspired bordering on lazy. Dish to dish was disconnected. The flavor combos were strange and the staff felt like they were going through the motions. Wine was good but expensive, sommelier rushed through each pairing. For the price point, it just wasn’t a good experience from beginning to end. I hope it was just an off night.

K
Kayla Seminoro

I wanted to like the food (especially for the price), however it missed the mark completely. There seemed to be higher importance in making creative dishes with unique ingredients but this resulted in disappointing and inconsistent flavors course after course. Another reviewer hit the nail on the head saying this place is a Michelin star-wannabe restaurant. To be honest, I would not return even if the meal was free. My advice is to stop trying to be so creative and place more emphasis on creating tasty food.

In celebration of our fortieth, we decided to splurge on a special evening and signed up for FLX’s $600 wine-pairing dinner. It turned out to be a mixed experience. The reservation said the seating was at 5:45. We showed up at 5:40. While we waited to be seated, we were given a priced menu of drinks for consideration. At 6:00 we were taken to our private dining area which struck me as being skewed more toward isolation than intimacy with its large round bare wood table, big storefront window, and sliding door to close the room off from the other parts of the dining room. The starter was a platter of crudities, a fresh loaf of rosemary garlic bread, and a variety of vegetable spreads and flavored butters. Accompanying the starter was a pleasant pour (the only time a wine was poured from the source bottle in front of us) of bubbly. The platter and accompaniments were fine if unremarkable. Up next was a ceviche paired with a very nice Italian white Pinot Blanc poured into fresh glasses from two carefully measured beakers the wine steward delivered to our table - best guess a modest 3-ounce pour. The wine was excellent. The ceviche seemed fresh. The third course was gnocchi topped with shredded duck topped with a fresh green. Gnocchi were pillowy mounds in a nice light sauce, but I found myself wondering if the shredded duck was substituted with pork, could I have told the difference? The standout for this course was a superb zinfandel. It was outstanding even if served not from the bottle but from two evenly measured beakers again delivered by the wine steward from another part of the restaurant. The fourth course we were told was Australian-raised venison accompanied by a dollop of escalope potatoes, two thin fresh asparagus, a drizzle of brown sauce on 3 thinly sliced strips of red meat, and dark chocolate chip-like dots of black garlic. The plate was attractive though the venison was dry and could have been easily mistaken for beef. Paired with the course were the now standard two beakers of a high quality, if somewhat ordinary, cabernet sauvignon. Our meal was capped off with banana foster cooked in individual cast-iron pans in the kitchen, flamed for effect at our table, and paired with two beakers of a pleasant well matched Italian dessert wine. I will say, while I was somewhat put off by the use of beaker wine delivery, the wine steward did place the bottles that our wine probably came from on our table so that we could examine the labels. Overall, the staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. However, if there were any aspirations for a Michelin star-type dining experience they were only met with the bill for the evening.

My wife and I almost never leave reviews on restaurants but we discussed this meal the entire 45 minute drive home and felt inclined to leave a review because of our experience. Overall, we wanted to leave a positive review and felt bad about leaving 2 stars but there were so many flaws and issues with this meal and its execution. I don’t pretend to be a food critic but these are some of my observations: 1. Service is a bit cold, rushed and uninspired. The “chef” struggled through pronunciation of dishes and items in the dishes and at times struggled to explain each course which didn’t convey confidence in his abilities. 2. He never changed gloves in between handling the duck, vegetables, dessert etc. which was off putting. 3. The first course or bread and crudités was a bit strange. The bread itself was delicious but the vegetables were raw. The carrots clearly hadn’t been washed properly. The sauces were “ok” but they look like they are the same sauces or variations of them from every other review I read on Google. Also, 2/3s of our table left the vegetables untouched or lightly eaten. It was an odd offering. 4. The amuse bouche was a smoky chicken broth which had a nice flavor but absolutely did not connect to the rest of the meal. 5. The duck dish was STRANGE. It was a very long, floppy, poorly cut piece of duck that looked like it was sous vide prepared. My wife saw the chef remove the breast from the sous vide and then cut them and serve them. No pan sear for the fat side so by the time it was served, it was like warm and that delicious duck fat was chewy instead of crispy. Also, as my wife pointed out, the chef had a very difficult time cutting the duck which was embarrassing in itself for him. The greens the served the breast over were so unfitting for this dish. Half of my greens were just mint leaves. Disjointed, unrelated “salad” to the floppy duck breast that was served. 6. The ramp risotto with egg yolk was nice. Hint: Add some crispy shallots or charred leek to the top for texture 7. The caviar add on was unnecessary and was clearly for an up charge. I feel like an idiot for agreeing to it. It added no flavor to the dish. 8. The dessert tasted good but presentation was SLOPPY! My wife and I both watched in horror as the chef didn’t change his gloves and then struggled through a pathetic attempt at making an ice cream quenelle which he abandoned and served a misshapen slop of ice cream on the final dish. The rhubarb was runny so it mixed with the ginger crumble and made a mess. Lastly, the pop rocks were unnecessary and created a very strange and odd sensation that really had no place in the dessert. 9. The people that mention how rushed you feel at the end of the meal are dead on. You basically eat your last bite and then are ushered out of the dining room to another more cramped area to pay for your meal. Essentially told “you can stick around but just not here.” This restaurant has a ton of potential and some of the dishes are redeemable. With a little more finesse, this could’ve been a good, but not great meal. However, the odd progression of dishes couple with the “chef’s” seeming ineptitude and end of dinner rush made for a lackluster meal. Certainly not worth the $400 you spend.

I honestly do not understand how this place could have such good reviews. It was such a disappointment. Except for the atmosphere that was congenial, everything was painful. The best food was the veggie board at the beginning of the dinner. We couldn’t even eat the second course because the fish sauce taste was so strong. Dessert was… cookies! For $200 that was really a rip off. I feel badly for the staff who were very friendly although not really at a level of professionalism you’d expect for that price.

Service was good. The food was atrocious. We have been to several pre-fix dinner experiences like the one offered at FLX and this was disappointing to say the least. The star of the night was the focaccia bread. The rest was a series of salty odd plates we just did not care for at all. Even the dessert was salty. We wouldn’t recommend nor return. Sad that there were so many great reviews which led us to book a dinner experience here.

We were here last year,, both times we did the private room, prix fix and wine pairings, which...for context, is ~$600. I'll cut to the chase... - vege and bread board disappointed vs last year, limp lettuce, random cantaloupe, uncut tomatoes peppers etc - beef dish - amazing, best of the night - corn dish...its a corn cob cut in 3rds and served a mini piles of spices sauces...meh and tough to eat - lobster dish...the lobster was good but the polenta was cold and gelatinous, like the polenta in a tube in the grocery store - peach melba..the most unflavorful peach I've ever had in my life - wine pairings...we were poured separate glasses for the corn dish, I asked are we supposed to switch, somm is like, if you want to. He should've done 2 half pours - the sauternes poured was fouled, we said taste it, somm insisted its fine, opened 2 days ago...very long story short, in the end, they said they tasted it and it was fouled and they tossed it - somm is ridiculously arrogant and condescending...its as if he likes wine but hates customers. He speeds thru his speech then runs off, little to no eye contact. It's also odd you never see the actual bottle your wine is poured from Bottom line, nothing they offer, food, wine or service, is worthy of $600 a couple. It's the 'for tourists' pricey place that seems to hate tourists and treats then like they're stupid & can't wait for them to go. It's super unfortunate as we all work hard too and hope to enjoy our time off vs being treated poorly and with contempt and condescension

Service was decent but we based our decision to dine there on their website which showed homemade fries, poutine with fresh cheese curds and milkshakes--none of which were available when we arrived. They are no longer serving fries, poutine was uncrispy fried potatoes with a nondescript cheese sauce--and we ordered onion rings and what we got was a small flower pot filled with fried onions strings--not at all what we were expecting and VERY overpriced for what we received. Plan ahead and choose a different dining option.

FLX Table describes itself as "one of the Finger Lakes premier dining experiences." I'm afraid it is not. In fact, it is a poor imitation of gourmet dining. We went with high expectations and left with a feeling of great let-down. Our prix fixe menu started with raw vegetables and crusty bread and assorted dips and flavored butters. While the bread was tasty, the crudites were not; the butters and dips were, however fine. It was a facile, unsophisticated start to the five course meal. This was followed by small fresh oysters and a cucumber salad with octopus and a Szechuan chili-mayo sauce. The managers should know that specialties like raw oysters and octopus are not to the liking of many diners, us included. Alternatives should be offered. We skipped both. A wee morsel of meatball followed. O-k-a-y... The entree, New Zealand venison with a quinoa tabbouleh aioli was tough and lacking in flavor. In fact, mine was so tough and gristly, I had to spit out most of it on my plate. It was like chewing leather. I finally gave up and abandoned the rest. The dessert was an unremarkable strawberry crumble. No coffee. No tea. The staff rushed the 15, or so, diners out with toasted marshmallows. While the servers were unfailingly cheerful and responsive, the service was little better than what one encounters in most (less expensive) upscale restaurants. However, dirty silverware went unchanged between courses and table debris clean-up was spotty. There were no salt and pepper shakers. The rather small combined dining/kitchen space is bright and cheery, with lovely boxes of herbs hanging from the ceiling. That said, the decor is bland and forgettable. Worst of all is the acoustics. The restaurant would benefit from strategically placed acoustic tiling, area rugs and wall tapestries to deaden the noise. We opted for a pre-dinner wine tasting at FLX's neighboring shop, called, "Provisions." Our server was very informed and pleasant and went out of her way to provide us with a broad sampling of Fingerlakes wines. Sadly, all but a sparkling Riesling ranged from terrible to mediocre. The more a restaurant charges, the more discriminating I am. After all, for $100-plus per head, a customer has every expectation of a very special dining experience. Not only spectacular, flaw-free cuisine, but service with dash and panache and creativity. FLX sorely lacks in all these areas. Exemplars of this class of gourmet dining can be found at the Inn at Little Washington (Virginia), Summit at the Broadmoor (Colorado Springs, CO) and the North Fork Table & Inn (Southold, NY). The dining experiences at these establishments linger in your memory literally for years. Sadly, this is not true of FLX, which we found forgettable at best. Foremost on my mind as we departed was where I could grab a hot pizza. I really wanted to rate FLX with several stars, but, unfortunately, they couldn't even make the cut past one star in our case. As others have remarked, FLX is really a wine bar posing as a Michelin-wannabe restaurant. From other reviews, others clearly felt differently. That said, we won't be returning.

The best course is the 1st course which consists of raw vegetables and some decent sauces to dip them in. We went here with a private group for a birthday party. I can't imagine having to sit there with strangers. No music. Weird situation. The meal itself is expensive, then throw in the wine and you won't be able to pay your rent or mortgage for the month! I noticed one wine that costs $20 for a bottle at the liquor store, but $110 a bottle at this place. At the end of the "just okay" meal, we were RUSHED out the door! My wife and I paid over $300 for a not so great meal and a few drinks and we were pushed out the door because others were coming in for their reservation (just under 2 hrs after we got there with a big group). They sent us over to the wine bar for FREE TOASTED MARSHMALLOWS for dessert! We went over there and they "toasted" them with a freakin lighter. Thanks for the subpar meal, rushing us out the door, and the free dessert of lighter burnt marshmallows (which was actually better than at least 2 of the courses). The wine guy is nice.

Elizabeth was a lovely host and took great care of us, and should not be considered with the rest of my review. Aside from her, the rest of the experience was pretty terrible. I could spend this time talking about the food, courses, etc. What really pissed me off was the Chef's lack of concern for my wife's shellfish allergy. At the beginning of the meal, he came over and acknowledged the allergy provided at the time of the reservation. He tried to convince us my wife would be fine because Squid is a cephalopod, not a shellfish. For someone who talks so highly about his travels when presenting every dish, it is embarrassing he doesn't know that a customer with a shellfish allergy (including mollusks and crustaceans), cannot have Squid. Finally, then the Squid dish came out. Instead of squid, her dish had a Dolma, however, he made it known that my wife's dish did not have squid ink, rather cuddlefish ink. Well, fun fact, cuddlefish are also in the mollusk family. When I sent the dish back, he disparagingly lectured us by stating "this is why we make a point to ask about allergies at the beginning of the meal". As if we hadn't clearly stated the allergy upfront. He begrudgingly took the dish back and fixed the issue. Maybe next time put your ego aside and learn a thing about food allergies if you are trying to be a fine dining chef. Berating your customers on their first plated course is so unprofessional and set the tone for the night. Allergies are not something to take lightly and the fact that the chef has no concern is what really frustrated me. This was on Dec 23rd nonetheless, so forgive me for not wanting to spend my holiday at the hospital dealing with allergic reactions.

I really wanted to like it but the food just was not what I had hoped especially for the price. Also don’t understand the reviews saying the service was good. It felt cold, lacked personality and friendliness and was rushed. I will not return. Wish them the best but definitely need to fix some things. Especially the reaction I received when I opted out of the wine pairing.

My family and I recently -(around June 24) dined at Geneva and were very disappointed for all the hype. We were served vegetables - stringy peas pods and bread with different butter mixes for starters- no taste at all. The wine was over priced and quality poor. Wine pairing was expensive too and extra. Appetizer was so so which they wanted to upgrade with caviar for added cost. The main dish was a small piece or slice of lamb SAUSAGE which I will never serve any guest. My wife being vegetarian got a small piece of roasted ONION FOR MAIN DISH. The desert was mushy custard and so called bread pudding- we could barely eat a few spoonfuls. I will NOT recommend this place to ANYONE.

Decent service, friendly staff, decent wine, complete garbage food. This is what the movie: The Menu was talking about. Some of the condiments were are just Asian style sauces taken directly out of the jar.

We did the super secret winery private chefs table tonight and…I don’t have words. The atmosphere was so incredibly cool I will give you that. The presentation of all of the dishes was impeccable. But, omg, the food…abysmal. We started with crudités with a champagne pairing. This was good and no complaints. Next was a black cod with radish paired with a white wine. This was still good although the dish was a little salty. The second wine I finished approximately half of. The third fish course, oh boy. They gave us a brown Riesling which was paired with caviar fish and roe. I tried the Riesling with the caviar and gagged. I couldn’t deal with it. That Riesling is the worst wine I have ever tasted. I had them box the rest of this dish because my palette was ruined. The fourth pairing was a Chateauneuf-du-Pape and venison over a lentil salad and morel mushroom. It was so incredibly salty and the lentil salad tasted like grass clippings. Absolutely horrible. I left it. The dessert was a vanilla cake with pop rocks and a port. This was quite tasty but the port was so tart. Also they gave us a bottle of water but never refilled it. I was so parched and then the check ins during dinner were so long I would be glad to see a human who worked there and black out and forget to ask. All in all, cool experience but absolutely not worth the cost of the private experience. Zero stars if I could.
