Love to go to Catfish Parlor. I had grilled catfish with cabbage and spinach. Very good. This restaurant is a favorite of mine when I come to Georgetown. Service is always great as is the food. My sister has a large shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were huge.

This place never disappoints! We are extremely critical of restaurants offering fried catfish and shrimp - Catfish Parlour is the best! Their tangy slaw and jalapeño tartar sauce are the perfect sides to every meal. We always enjoy coming here. The service is excellent- we’ve had Theresa as a server 3 times now and she is wonderful!

Catfish & Hushpuppies you just do not need any thing else. CHP in Austin on 183 we would look at the walls for Dad would put their children pictures some where, actually the real reason was to I entertain the kids but hey we enjoyed looking also- but some times the folks sitting at their table eating slaw, broiled cat fish and shrimp oops and the house salad, we did made them nervous when we ask if there was a picture of a child. Most of the time they would say no just the girl from the old salt shaker God Bless Rob and Robin

The Best Down Home cooking in Austin / George Town surrounding area. Been coming here since I was a kid (Austin Locations) and it is always good Catfish and Salad Bar and anything on the menu always to perfection 😁 should be marked a Texas landmark and preserved with care!

Very once in a while you visit a place that hits all the boxes. Catfish Parlour is that place for me. Great Server Shay R was. The Luncheon Buffet setup had everything you would need to pair with the Fish offerings. The place is clean. Great ambience. Fun wall art and Pics keep the eye busy. Then there is the CATFISH. prepared about any way you could want it. I chose Fried and Fried Spicy. Both delicious. Shay R the Server recommended Dessert menu after our meal, and I went with a small Order of Fried Oysters 🦪 since I’m cutting back on dessert. She liked my “Dessert” choice. I also have to say the Ice Tea at Catfish Parlour was on point also. I like how the Manager made rounds and checked up on every table. This is a great relaxing place. I knew it was going to be good by the number of Seniors and the mature crowd. They deserve the success they have because this place is just damn good at everything. Food. Service. Cleanliness. Ambience. Charm. My advice to the 14 Million people who view and trust my reviews? Come here and enjoy this Icon of a Catfish Parlour. Just come here!

I’m not gone lie. My wife and I did not realise we ate here before at a different location. It’s been so long, until we went inside and notice it was familiar. Anyways moral to my review, this right here was worth every penny. We are so full, service was amazing by Brandon B. He did a fantastic service. Fast and always made sure we were good every time. I high key recommend his service and I highly recommend the fried Cajun oysters and to top off the bread pudding…👏🏾👏🏾🫣👏🏾… They say Red Bull give you wings but this bread pudding gave life…..🫡🙌🏾 Don’t miss out and just come…oh and yes the hush puppies are 🔥.

We had a great lunch this afternoon at this awesome restaurant. The atmosphere will take you back in time and the food and service will keep you smiling. We definitely will return to try other menu items but how can you go to the “Catfish Parlour” and not have catfish. We also had the gumbo and both were delicious. The fish is absolutely fresh and breaded just right. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.

I arrived just after 7pm on a Saturday. The hostess and server were a little slow. Once I placed my order my dinner arrived in a timely manner. The catfish and hush puppies were terrific. The pinto beans were a little dry but very tasty. Most of the fried okra was over cooked and very crunchy. What wasn't over cooked was very good.

This was our first visit here. We had the best waitress, who says she's the worst one. She was really cracking us up!!! The complimentary hush puppies are phenomenal to me and they are served with both jalapeño and regular tarter sauce. The chicken sandwich is HUGE and comes with 2 sides. It seems all came with 2 sides. My only complaint would be that the okra was fried a little to hard. Some were almost hard so didn't enjoy the flavor but I know that happens. The pinto beans and fries were great. The fried shrimp was HUGE and I mean all shrimp,not the kind that all batter like some places. The fish was great too and you can choose a spicy Cajun or regular rub. We also tried a grilled catfish and that too was FANTASTIC! We do plan to revisit.

My family and I dropped in for a bite from Temple. I found this restaurant on Google. We love fish and just wanted to try a new place. The decor is eclectic. They had excellent customer service. Everyone was so nice. The food was pretty decent. The only thing I noticed is my fish had a sort of fishy taste. It wasn't horrible, but I prefer my fish not to have that taste. The okra, cabbage, and popcorn shrimp was delicious. My niece had spicy fried pickles. She enjoyed it. Overall, I give two thumbs up. If you have never been here, drop in and try it out.

I have no idea why or how this place has 4.4 stars after what they served me today. Everyone must still have COVID tastebuds…jk jk … kinda. I ordered the Big Cat Plate with both regular and spicy. *The regular had no flavor not a lick of salt, pepper, nothing. Thank goodness for hot sauce. *The spicy wasn’t spicy. It tasted like they just threw in some chili powder and paprika to give it a “spicy” look. The sides: *Okra – I ate more breading than okra. I’d bite into some, and there was no okra inside. *Coleslaw – Looked like shredded steamed cabbage and… that’s it. I have never seen coleslaw look like that in my life. *Mashed potatoes – Actually good, despite being topped with some flavorless white stuff. The most disrespectful part of the meal was the gumbo. I ordered gumbo with rice and got a teaspoon of rice. The container it came in probably cost more than the amount of rice they gave me. That said, the “gumbo” wasn’t bad, it was actually the best thing we ordered. But the random pieces of tomato kept throwing me off. I WOULD however recommend this place to my worst enemy.

My husband and I had go to both locations. The Austin location made absolutely amazing oysters and equally as amazing stuffed Redfish about 2 weeks ago. We decided to go to the Georgetown location last evening to eat the same exact dishes. Sadly the experience was just horrible. The oysters looked like fried leftover chicken crust and hardly edible. The stuffed Redfish was overcooked and the sauce was watery and had no flavor instead of being creamy and flavorful. We had such high hopes. We will not return.
