This is the third time we have visited Plaka’s. We do not live close by, but after eating their delicious food, I want to stop there whenever we are passing by. We like everything we have tried. Soups are great, salads delicious with excellent dressing. The meatballs have a most flavorful sauce. Everyone is very nice and helpful when you are choosing your food selections. Thank you Plaka’s. Only thing, I wanted to try the cheese that is set on fire, but they do not have this. No problem- just a whim.
The food was delicious and plentiful. There are plenty of choices from the menu. It appears a number of their items are prepared ahead of time and it is more cafeteria style. Nonetheless, we liked it. We lived in Europe for 8 years so we know authentic, quality Greek food.
Gyros are fantastic. Customer service was great as well. Try their baklava....some of the best I've had!
The Chicken Lemon Rice Soup is Excellent! 😋 Very polite and helpful employees! (Will go back and dine in one day)
This was my first time eating here and it was great. The portions were large, tasted fresh and was a perfect place to sit and visit with another. Just a great time. I will be back for sure.
I’ve had multiple different dishes from here and they are all SO GOOD! The best chicken salad, lentil soup if phenomenal, spaghetti and meatballs are the huge and amazing, dolmades taste authentic- I’ve never had a bad thing from here. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants, I love that they have a drive thru and it doesn’t take forever for great food. What you pay is 1000% worth it and are good portion sizes
Few places make it to the work trip lunch list. This one is forever on it! Has that Euro feel to it as soon as you enter and oh… the food. So good! Anytime I’m up from San Antonio and near Georgetown- I’m coming here again
Food is always good, portions are generous, and staff is courteous. Initially balked at the prices for some menu items, but the value is there for what you pay. I’ve often had two meals from one plate here.
This is a fantastic Greek restaurant on your way into Austin. They do a cafeteria style serving so you walk up and get your choices off the line. Everything is pictured with the different plates. The chickens always nice and tender but not too chewy and the gyro meat always tastes great shaved off the slab. The spanokopitas are my favorite side and I always get the combination plate which comes with a meatball rice and your choices of me My only real big gripe is since they changed the feeder road surrounding this part of Georgetown accessibility is very limited. You will have to either be coming from the southbound Access road or from the east to west Lane of Williams to gain access to this restaurant. Definitely stop by and give it a shot here in the area.
First time eating here. I was staying at a motel nearby and ordered take out. I ordered the combination platter. The food was tasty and fresh and the cost was affordable in these times where most establishments overcharge while undeserving. I will definitely be coming back to this establishment if I'm ever in town again.
We came here for the first time as we were looking for a good restaurant around this neighborhood! Glad we came! From the outer look, it was okay looking but the interior is nice cozy Greek vibe with flowers 💐 on each tables. We ordered two vegetarian plates with a veggie falafel wraps! I enjoyed all the soups as they were not strong but just taste! I especially loved the falafel wrap!!! I think I can say this is the best falafel that I’ve ever tried!! I love it more than fades for sure! Come visit and enjoy the taste of Greek! Keep up the good work and cheers 🥂
I've passed by this restaurant for years and finally had the opportunity to check them out. I went through the drive-thru, seeing as I thought that may be faster, but it wasn't. I would've gone in had I been able to drive out of line, but I couldn't. The wait was longer than expected, but once I bit into my gyro, I was so pleased with how good it was that I forgot how long I was even in line for. Everything tasted fresh and just the way it should. The soup was flavor packed, and that lemonade is really good! They have the best gyro I've had in a long time. I highly recommend it and I will be back for a dine in lunch or dinner.
I haven't been to a Greek place in a very long time but it's definitely one of my favorite cuisines and I was very pleased with Plaka! Upon first entering, I was a little worried because of the pictures on the wall. (in the nicest way possible, I really recommend retaking some of the photos as they do look very outdated and a bit sketchy). Pictures aside, the workers were very friendly and the food was great! It tastes like real, authentic Greek food, this is coming from someone who has been to Athens and have had plenty of Greek food. Loved it, I would absolutely come again. 🥙
Great food! Very pleased with this authentic homestyle Greek food. It was worth the 35 minute drive. It's not a five star classy restaurant but it is great eating and filling! Definitely enough to have for lunch the next day, possibly enough for dinner next day too. Highly recommended!
Perfect location to grab a meal on the way in or out of the Austin area. The restaurant menu has a picture of every food option. The chicken plaka salad was great the chicken is served warm, who’s was fantastic! Portions of all the entrees was quite large and prices were affordable. The saganaki was phenomenal, very garlicky.
Don't let the exterior of this place fool you. Everything about this place is amazing from the personnel (customer service) to the food. My husband had the Gyro Plate (not pictured) and I had the Gyro Combo (pictured) with the baklava (pictured). The portion sizes are great! You definitely get your monies worth and then some. This place is 5hours away home but I will DEFINITELY be stopping by again (and again)

Great food and excellent service!! Luis is always friendly. I love their pasticio, just like Yiayia used to make. Great gyros too!!
This is a hidden gem place for greek restaurant! I love the vegetarian options here and personally the falafels are the best! Come try it out! :)
service is always great. The menu items are always authentic and super yummy. It's a mom and pop shop and you always feel welcome.

I’ve been wanting to eat here and it didn’t disappoint. The location is good; easy to get in and out. The chicken gyro and salad were fresh and delicious. There were several people dining on a Tuesday lunchtime but there were plenty of seating. My only other comment is that the restaurant was really cold. We didn’t realize there were outside tables which we could’ve sat on but they were on the other side of the entrance and we missed them. Being a sweater if you plan to eat here!
I've seen Plans Greek Cafe sign many times but never got the chance to try. Today, while in the neighborhood, I decided to stop by. Upon entering the restaurant, one will see trays, cups, utensils and drink fountain; then one will proceed ordering the foods (Like Luby's). I ordered a Gyro Plate with Feta salad. The Gyro Plate comes with Roasted lamb & beef, rice pilaf, greek style meatball and tzatziki (Salted yogurt and cucumber dip). The meat is very well seasoned with good flavor; the meatballs was different but in a good way and since I never had Greek meatballs before, needless to say, that was a real treat. My overall experience is good and will definitely stop by in the future to try new dishes.
We have been to Plaka Greek several times and loved the gyros. They were very kind in helping the "greek food ignorant." The only downside for me was the sauce they had was cucumber with no other c…

Small informal place with good food, kinda cafeteria style, you pick from the food prepared and then seat yourself, I’ve had a number of dishes there and they all have been good, reasonable price

Horrible food, very obvious the food sat there all day or was from the day before. Meat was extremely dry and the bread was straight out of the package.

Absolutely disappointed bout this place. Got a gyro that came with a lemon chicken soup. I added a side of rice and the total was $20. Food had no taste what so ever. The chicken in my gyro had no seasoning and was dry. Arby’s gyros are way better. Never going back
I'm 100% first generation greek- there is absolutely NOTHING authentic about this food! The Pastichio had absolutely no Bechamel or nutmeg or Parmesan - Instead you had mozzarella baked to a crisp on top- but the worst was Greek salad - we Never put ranch type dressing on it- it's always olive oil and vinegar and there is always banana pepper- it was inedible- we were hoping to find salvage in the gyros but they were served dried out and almost burned- the pita always needs to be pan fried to bring out flavors - the meatball Did not have ANY spice at all - this place is the worst example of real Greek cooking
