Friendly & accomodating service & very tasty food. I went with a group of 5 & we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. On arrival you are given the early evening menu but if you're looking for some more options, you can ask for the fuller menu. I ordered the spaghetti primavera (a vegetarian & delicious option!) & asked for it to come without cellari or chilli aswell as for it to come in a Napoli sauce (as it was only meant to come in olive oil) and all requests were easily accommodated. There are quite a few options on the desert menu and the sticky toffee pudding is especially nice! For 5 starters, 5 mains, 2 deserts & 5 soft drinks it came to £95 which I feel is reasonable. The staff were welcoming & the service was fast. The only downfall was that the back of the restaurant & the disabled toilet could do with a touch up, but other than that we'd a fab experience & would highly recommend!
Myself and two friends were looking for somewhere to eat last night (it was a saturday) and stumbled upon Pulcinella. Even though we didn't have a reservation, they found a table for us, and the managed was very welcoming. The waiters were all very polite and efficient with one of taking a photo for us as we couldn't manage to get all of us in the photo. We all ordered our 2 courses and when the food came I have to say it was some of the best I've tasted. I had bruschetta for a starter, and it was so fresh and bursting with tomato flavour. For my main I had a pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I've eaten in my life My two friends also thoroughly enjoyed their food too with everyone complimenting how good it was. The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect, it's very homey and welcoming. I think it is a great all-around place that would be perfect for romantic dates and also for family meals and whatnot. All in all, I know the next time I visit Glasgow, this will be one of my go-to places to eat
Fast service, nice atmosphere, tasty food, friendly staff, fair prices. What's not to love? 😊
I dine here regularly with clients. They all love the lunchtime menu which is both reasonably priced and gives generous portions. Staff are attentive but not overbearing and the food is lovely and full of flavour. Over the past 2 years this has become my go to in entertaining clients in Glasgow City Centre.
Went at lunch time and was served and catered to by two lovely individuals. The food was fantastic. I had a steak and chicken wings and it was so nice. Would definitely go back here as it was very cheap. Fantastic. Only downside was my moretti had a large head on it, but that is just me being VERY picky, Therefore, won’t go on more about it. Fantastic little place and can imagine it’s even nicer for a late night dinner.
We had a nice 2 course meal at a reasonable price. The surroundings are very pleasant and staff were helpful but not intrusive. Everyone was happy at the choice of food the way it was cooked and how tasty it was. Staff were very accommodating and as this was a birthday party we had a cake brought to the table It was easy to get to but would suggest going into town by public transport ,aybe using the underground.
Love Pulcinella. Staff are lovely and so friendly. Food is always good and very reasonably priced.
Popped in as a wee had just arrived and wanted some filling and comforting for lunch and we were not disappointed. Service here was friendly and welcoming followed by some of the best Italian cooking we have had in a long time! I had the chicken with mushrooms and a creamy sauce, this arrived with beautiful fresh vegetables. The atmosphere was again friendly and chilled. My teenager loves the macaroni and profiteroles, I hada delicious coffee as no room for pudding. We are only here a short time but plan to try and fit in another visit. Prices are brilliant too!
My partner and I tried this restaurant as we couldn’t decide where and what to eat on a Wednesday night. They have the 2 or 3 course dinner menu which is absolutely smashing with great prices (less than £19 for 2 course). We had the grilled asparagus and prawn cocktail salad, Turkey with cranberry sauce and Chicken with mushroom sauce.. To our surprise, we love every dish here. We had a wonderful dinner, the food served were all fresh, delicious and generous in portions. Servers are all prompt and attentive. The ambience here is warm, inviting and authentic. Definitely will bring friends here.
My sister and I ate here on 21st February 2020 during a weekend in Glasgow The food was perfect, all the staff were very friendly and cheery. We would definitely recommend visiting here when in Glasgow
Excellent food, first class service , nice wine and lovely cocktails. Our first time there. We will be back
Very delicious Italy food , the people are very friendly. I will come back again
Everything is good! Food is excellent, ambient very good and amazing service!
Lovely busy atmosphere and the female waiter was very pleasant. The food was delicious 💜
Very good food and great wine seclection. Will be back again tomorrow night to finish off my bottle ;)
Great food, great price. Would recommend for lunch.
Lovely wee Italian restaurant. Ideal for a pre theatre lunch or dinner. Value for money. Staff are so friendly. Recommend you try it
Very friendly, excellent service and the food came quick, fresh and hot.
Exceptionally friendly and the food was lovely! A very decent lunch for the price.
I have been dining here for such a long time. The food is always excellent and the service is outstanding. I have never had a bad experience. The prices are so cheap as well. I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know, and they all love it. Five stars all the time.
Went here tonight for dinner with other half .the food was absolutely delicious could not fault it and the homemade tirimisu was the icing of top of the cake .staff are friendly and don't buzz around your table but are attentive when you want then round .Will definitely be back to try more of what's on the menu
Really good. The food was great and the service was perfect. The atmosphere is nice and calm with soft music playing in the background. We were there for the second time today and highly recommend it! The price is absolutely fair. We hope to visit again before we end our holiday.
Enjoyable starter, decent main course. Service was good. Atmosphere is dated, but still charming.
Fabulous food wine and service, great value for money. We will definitely be back the next we are in Glasgow.
Six of us got together for a catch up meal with friends over from Canada. The food was lovely and was served by attentive and friendly staff. I would have liked more ice cream flavour options, it's vanilla and that's it, a small gripe though. Other than that it was great.
Large party in when we arrived, they were loud and obnoxious, atmosphere greatly improved when they left. Service was abrupt at first, probably because they were flustered by the aforementioned crowd. Again, service greatly improved after the crowd left. I'm not going to mark the restaurant down because of the punters.
Food was nice with good service. The look of the place is has a nice wee cosy Italian feeling to it with their red and white checked table clothes. Prices are reasonable too. £60 for two starters, two main courses and a desert to share plus a bottle of wine. I'd recommend the place and I will go back again.
Bustling Italian with good choice of food. Attentive service. Tasty food. Reasonably priced. Would recommend
Food was excellent but was not told rice or chips came with food so ask when ordering. Staff where very nice. Would recommend
Service was excellent, friendly and attentive without being over the top. Cant fault that. The food was decent enough but probably wouldnt entice me back if I am being completely honest. Had the lasagne and it was OK but the tomato sauce was very strong and the food was hotter than the sun when it came out which made it difficult to eat for about 10 mins. Overall I enjoyed it. Its well priced with good service and nice staff but food was a bit average in my opinion. Could just have been the Lasagne so best to try for yourself and judge.
Basic Italian restaurant . Food was ok. The restaurant is a little bit old but with lot’s of Italian items :)
Special set menu on a Saturday food alright but the cheeky buggers added £5,92 on as a service charge for two people
A nice wee place with a solid two and three course menu. Great for a quick meal and has specials that rotate fairly often. Staff are really friendly. The decor and facilities are pretty tired now, not changed in the 15 years since I first visited.
This is a lovely place with great service and atmosphere. It’s really unfortunate that the food lets it down so significantly. It’s low on flavour, very greasy and not far off chip shop/fry up standards. The one stand out meal from the 4 of us who were dining was a pepperoni pizza
Good simple Italian food. Toilets definitely need an urgent upgrade.
Pate was ok but bread cheap sliced white. Chicken with potatoes wasn't startling but pepper sauce was tasty. Macaroni cheese was nothing great and a bit watery. For £15.99 for two courses it was to be expected but won't hurry back
Visited on way to theatre and ordered off the main menu. Haven't been for a while and the meal wasn't as good as previous visits. My partner had a vegetarian pasta dish which was uninteresting and I had Pollo Parmigiana which was dull. Also added 10% service charge which should be discretionary. Will not be visiting again.
EDIT - TO THE OWNER'S REPLY: Very disappointed to see the owner respond in this way and blame customers when cross contamination and poor food-related hygene are so common in the industry that if customers saw what goes on in the back of the house in most restaurants they would never pay to eat there. Anyways I'm not here to argue and I hope this happens to no one else. Have a nice day. ORIGINAL POST: This was one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I've ever had. For the starter, I ordered a caprese salad, followed up by a ribeye steak with veggies as the main. Not long after the meal, I spent the next two days in agony because of severe food poisoning. I can't know what caused it, was it the mozzarella, the produce, or the meat? Aside from the food poisoning, the actual meal was bland and unseasoned. I do not recommend this place.
Pucinella? More like POOPinella. The bolognese was awful, pizza was okay. if you are travelling here from anywhere that has decent Italian food, DO NOT GO HERE!!! They only had one waiter for the entire busy restaurant, and the manager was quite rude during payment. Learned our lesson, stay away from Italian food in Scotland if you know what’s good for you.
This was without a doubt, one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had:- I came in here with 3 of my friends on a Friday evening and the service was shocking. I’ve had better service from lunch ladies in school. The food was disgusting, bland and low quality. The minestrone was effectively veg and oil and the pizza was rancid. The only benefit I can find, was the price: but evidently it reflected the quality. We were subsequently hassled by the waiting staff for removing the service charge they added. No wonder there was no wait for a table at the weekend. We will certainly not be returning here!
