First of all, amazing service with attentive and friendly staff. Restaurant is very roomy and the seats were comfortable. Overall environment is clean, modern, and quiet. Good spread of relatively healthy options for food. Location was easy to find, and accessible from two entrances (the main entrance requires going down some stairs, but the entrance from the hotel is flat).
Came for lunch today. The food is absolutely delicious. We went for the soup, haggis bonbons, mac and cheese and red pepper hummus. It was all 10/10. We were served by Scott. He is extremely personable and friendly. He has lovely energy and was overall really good. The atmosphere is lovely and chill. Decor is stunning. We had a great experience and will definitely be back.
An unexpected gem! Ambience, food & service was excellent. Totally relaxed & smart, with an interesting menu. Big shoutout to Grahame for looking after my table. Thanks again!
The food was absolutely delicious! The desserts were incredible, and the place is beautiful!
Delicious cocktails, excellent service and amazing vibe. Would highly recommend for a relaxed but fabulous date.
Graeme was a fantastic host! Took care of our night. Fabulous food and drinks, just a nice night to end the week.
Great restaurant, I visited it twice during my stay in the hotel. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.
The food, drinks, staff!!! Everything was absolutely amazing could not fault the place one bit. The restaurant is gorgeous and so is the bar! Staff were so friendly and attentive will definitely be back and have recommended to family!! Our server Romany was so lovely and friendly :)
Had a lovely experience at Hazel, the interiors are stunning and has a lovely ambiance with low lighting. The food was amazing, everyone enjoyed their meals. In particular the crayfish croquettes for starter was delicious. For meal the highlights were the squash gnocchi and the monkfish tempura. Will definitely be back and would recommend.
We had a lovely dining experience at Hazel inside the AC Marriott Glasgow! Super convenient since we were staying at the hotel — made it all the more enjoyable. Dionne, Sophie, and I were impressed not only with the food but especially with the fantastic service by Mairi. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this spot whether you’re a guest or just passing through Glasgow!
We had a lovely meal at Hazel. It was our first time and we will definitely be back! Our server was Jessica and she was amazing. She took time to explain the interesting concept behind the restaurant and maintained a great level of service throughout. Thank you so much!
Delicious lunch menu with a choice of small plates or large. Food excellent and presentation too. Lovely attentive staff and a lovely relaxing ambiance to enjoy your meal. The afternoon teas looked amazing too. Good location within the AC Marriott Hotel, just alongside George Square, Glasgow. Will definitely return.
Great atmosphere, genuinely friendly service and amazingly creative food creations. We had the chicken supreme and the salmon along with a few starters and desserts. Well worth the money! Even the interior and crockery are beautifully designed and harmonised.
Food and the service was amazing ! Especially thanks to Graeme for all his help and service !
Really lovely food in a really lovely setting. The nice quiet and beautiful atmosphere really added to the experience. We enjoyed all the food and felt full at the end of our 3 course early bird menu. One of the nicest restaurant experiences in Glasgow. It was cool to be able to order at the time of booking online. I had high hopes that it would make the whole experience really smooth, but it was a bit disappointing with having to remind the waiter that I thought we had ordered online. Then at the end, the bill we were given didn’t reflect the price when I booked. Firstly there was an error in the drinks price which was rectified, secondly was a mandatory service charge that wasn’t made clear at booking.
We went for an Afternoon Tea in Hazel. It’s a restaurant inside the brand new AC Hotel, part of the Marriott franchise. Luckily they even do a kids version of the Afternoon Tea. Their service and food were outstanding. We made a full video review of Hazel on our channel, The Olive Tree Family. Watch the video for the hidden message on how the restaurant was designed. Had an exceptional meal here this evening after work. Table service by Scott was professional and friendly, attentive and informative. Food was beautifully presented, excellent quality ingredients, and most importantly, delicious! The charred artisan bread and sticky toffee pudding are highly recommended in particular! The modern and simplistic setting is serene and calm and gives a high class dining feel while the menu is very reasonably priced for the city centre. We will be back very soon I’m sure. (I should mention that the experience was also heightened by very polite reception lady who escorted us to the restaurant and complimented my lovely wife’s “mermaid hair” - it certainly started the meal off with a nice mood!)
Fantastic cocktails, expertly crafted by our bar tender Stuart. Who went above and beyond to provide a 5star service to me and my friends.
Great food, good selection. We had a hard time deciding what to get! Large restaurant with a lounge on one side to enjoy a cocktail after dinner in. Service was 50/50 but they are still new.
Hazel does not disappoint. The menu has changed since I last visited but the vibe is the same - good quality ingredients beautifully prepared and presented. The staff are invariably pleasant, friendly and helpful. In the chaos that is currently Glasgow city’s centre, Hazel offers an oasis of calm - and great food.
Great service from Graeme. Professional and helpful The Monkfish was perfectly cooked. 👌🏼 Had the venison last night it was good too ( served by very cheery Issy ) but the monkfish beat it hands down. Bravo chef.
Had a wonderful dinner after a long day traveling from London. The lobster and mac spring rolls were delicious and Jessica was a very friendly server.
Everything was amazing, great service and recommendations from our server Romany too
One of the best drinks I’ve ever had, and it made my stay at the AC Hotel in Glasgow even better. The service was highly professional—the waiter took great care in recommending drinks that perfectly matched my preferences. A top-notch experience!
Absolutely ely had amazing time. The food is just perfect. The service was fantastic. All staff were incredible especially Scott. He was so polite and super friendly. Salmon was so delicate, chicken was so tasty and creme brûlée just a perfect finish.
Food and staff were very good and very friendly. Romany and Jamie were very accommodating. Cocktails were very good and the free birthday cocktail was an extra special touch ☺️👌🏼
We were invited to try the Local Business Celebration menu on Sunday evening. We had a lovely time, food was great and so was the service. Will definitely be back!
Spent our belated mothers days at Hazel. Jessica was so attentive and helpful. Lovely first visit, won't be our last.
Fantastic stay! Superb bartenders - special Shout out to Stuart and Kieran - they make a mean cocktail!
Morven was a professional waitress who was very knowledgeable and friendly. Vibrant atmosphere which enhanced our Saturday night. Food and service were excellent.
Absolutely beautiful restaurant! I have been once for dinner and once to have a coffee and brunch while working and the staff have been exceptionally friendly and accommodating both times. I would recommend the pesto spaghetti as well as the steak with peppercorn sauce A bigger cocktail and coffee menu in the future would be fab
Me and friends went here for a girls night out. Staff were fab, so friendly and helpful. Would recommend. Emily was an incredible server!!
We did the paint and spritz with craft pottery and it was very well organised. Really nice way to spend your Sunday with friends We were served by Graeme, who was great. He was very attentive and had a good sense of humour. We all got different items from the menu but I went for the southern fried chicken wrap and it was delicious.
Clearly the chef knows there stuff. The monkfish to share was sublime, and the sides complimented it. The only reason I scored service and staff lower is because we ate early at 4pm, after Christmas shopping, and the restaurant was virtually empty . The bar abd lounge area had a lovely atmosphere!
Our first experience at Hazel was amazing! Eveything was so so lovely! The service was impeccable, Graeme was a wonderful server and made our time ever better! Will definitely be back!
Hazel Restaurant was fantastic, great atmosphere, delicious food, and an overall wonderful experience. Huge props to Jessica for her outstanding service; she was friendly, attentive, and made the night even better. Highly recommend!
Amazing food. Steak was unbelievable. Staff were so friendly & couldn’t do enough for us. Izzy was great and really helped make it a special birthday dinner.
Lovely open airy space with views of the city chambers. Ideal for lunch with a varied menu of small plates, brunch and hearty mains. All dishes we had were excellent. Staff very attentive and helpful, especially Scott. Would love to visit for an evening meal sometime. We’ll be back!
Graeme was a fantastic host for us giving us the run down of the menu explaining things and being patient with us until we decided! Great service and great food
Lovely and spacious, Hazel has an amazing ambience. The service (ours from Scott) was exemplary. And the food, from starter to dessert was absolutely fantastic! Stand outs include the venison & haggis bourguignon, haunch of Highland venison, and dry-aged short rib. Incredibly tender and well seasoned. Ending sweets we enjoyed were the hazelnut coffee financier, pistachio brownie & chocolate cremieux and the Banoffee cheesecake. Overall just an amazing first visit!
First time visiting. Service was fantastic, our server Graeme was very attentive and friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. He ensured the chefs knew I was coeliac and checked and organised a desert for me too. Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and fantastic service.
Went on 50% food deal. Food was great at half price. Cocktails great. Service attentive.
I booked hazel for my graduation as they had a graduate offer. They were accommodating when I asked for a time change but when we arrived the place was really quiet, only a few people seated but we still had to wait some time to be seated. We just sat in the bar and had a drink but our guests were getting hungry and impatient- table of 8. However the service was great once we were sat. Food was good, starters were a little cold but the mains and desserts were fabulous. I must add the interior is gorgeous, spotless and very modern. High ceilings and a lot of natural lighting.
Have been a few times before and it's hands down one of my all-time favourite spots in Glasgow. The atmosphere is immaculate and feels so different than most places around town. Went in the other day with my friend excited to try the new menu, only to find out they only serve brunch until 4pm and "evening menu" after. As we had booked for the early afternoon, unfortunately we couldn't try their summer dishes. Although we didn't necessarily enjoy the macaroni cheese, the brunch/lunch menu was great nonetheless (as was the mocktail selection), but just felt a little weird to still offer just eggs and sandwiches at this time of day. With that said, service from Bronwyn was amazing — she was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with the most positive attitude!
Atmosphere: It's a very, very brightly lit bistro type setting. Service: Servers were very polite and efficient. There was quite a fair wait for them to take our drink orders, then again for our meal and dessert orders. Food: Starters: These were all delicious. (I had the Cullen Skink Risotto and it was 9/10.) Mains: The Pork Belly was overcooked so it was very dry, the rest of the mains were lovely. Desserts: They all looked and sounded tasty and the presentation was lovely. Alas, they were all less than mediocre - the best one was the sticky toffee pudding as it was pretty much the same as you'd get anywhere else, including supermarkets. Desserts were very disappointing overall. Bill for 7 of us was just shy of £400 (that included the service charge, plus a £45 bottle of wine and some drinks) Would I come back or recommend? Yes to both. I wouldn't bother with dessert next time though, even if the description makes them sound tasty!
Comfortable and great ambiance at the restaurant. Servers were really friendly and approachable. Food was generally quite ok, but if I have to pick a few good dishes it would be the pappardelle and the pork belly! Pappardelle was well cooked and al dente, slightly creamy so hence would be good for sharing. Pork belly was great as it didn't have gamey smell!
The duck was my favourite item off the menu that we ordered and the dessert was very tasty, but I feel like everything else was just okay. The parpadelle wasn't seasoned well and was pretty bland in particular. I did like the nice clean look of the place and it's decor, and the little nods to Glasgow were nice.
If only the entire meal was as good as the scallops we had for starters as they were so good. First of all I had no idea that it was a hotel restaurant, I had seen various things on social media and assumed it was a new high end restaurant in Glasgow. My expectations were high but unfortunately no where near met. The scallops were delish! The mains were very average - my pork was very meh & my friend’s pasta was also lacking in anything special. I think this place is overpriced for what it actually is which is a shame as I was so excited! Probably wouldn’t go back as it really is nothing special.
This is a fantastic looking restaurant. The staff are great. The half price January deal is a great way to chase the blues away, or so I thought. We both had the steak baguette. I didn’t order a side because I thought I was in a restaurant and not Nando’s. I literally got a baguette with a delicious few bits of steak in it. If I’d had to pay the full price (£15) I would have been so disappointed. A few salad leaves or crisps would have made the plate so much more ‘restaurant’ presentable.
I attended Hazel with family and friends for my daughter's graduation dinner. My main course of short ribs was so salty it was barely edible. The portions of pork chops were tiny and if it wasn't a special occasion I would have complained. Our server was lovely but the wait for food was 45mins and then we ordered a cocktail each and this took 35 mins to get to our table. This is not service In would expect at the weekend but this was a Monday night. The front of house staff member was not apologetic in any way and the whole experience was poor.
