Myself and my husband felt very hungry after a visit to Doune Castle, so we searched online, found this highly rated restaurant and decided we’d give it a try. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I haven’t felt so happy and satisfied after eating out in a long time! My husband had the calzone and I had the Penne Norcina, which the waiter kindly recommended when I couldn’t decide which meal to order. Absolutely delicious! For dessert, we shared the Coppa Amaretto, which was also delicious. Top quality food, good quantities and very satisfying. The wait staff were kind, friendly and accommodating and didn’t make us feel rushed or pressured to choose anything from the menu, or to leave quickly. If we ever manage a holiday to Scotland again, I hope to go back to this place. I highly recommend it, which is rare for me to do with restaurants!

Really busy. Glad we booked. All tables full. Food really good. Range of pasta and pizzas. Lots of gluten free options. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Fantastic place, wonderful food. Awesome flavours. Highly recommended. No loud music. Pleasant staff. The starter was focaccia brusheta for two, wild boar ravioli and chicken breast with Parma ham, cheese and asparagus. Obviously a popular place, saw plenty of take aways being collected.

What a brilliant Italian... The restaurant looks nice and modern which was very clean. Our waiter was brilliant who explained the specials so well I went for a spicy one which was amazing. My workmate had the calzone which was massive! Very good atmosphere and it got really busy by the time we left. Definitely recommend 👍🏻

Honestly, really delicious food in a lovely modern restaurant. Scallops, sausage pasta, lasagne, profiteroles. All top notch. Would come back.

Lovely food and very kind staff, restaurant was a little quiet so they were relaxed which was honestly very lovely. I ordered the tapas because you can’t beat having three mini meals for about £10. I had a cannoli at the end which was a little heavy for me as it was stuffed with a ricotta cheese style cream. But it all went down with a lovely Gavi. Excellent service from Bruno also, very attentive and cheerful.

This is the third time we have been and the good just gets better. Sea bass and wild boar ragi particular favourites. Can’t wait to go back

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. You can tell they care about quality—from the ingredients to the presentation. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience, we had a great time as a family.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant. I took my mother here for a little spot of lunch and the staff were so warm and welcoming. We were attended to at all times and the food was amazing! We had such a great time, I have booked to come back again with some other friends and family 😊

One of the best Italian food I've had in Scotland. Friendly waiters and authentic food. Only complaint is that there was too much oil at the bottom of my pasta.

What a taste sensation, OMG, the food was amazing, plenty of it (I came home with a to go box). We had a sharing foccacia bruchetta with a side of olives, and for the main we had spaghetti with vegetables, spaghetti Mare (seafood dish with about 6 different kinds of seafood) and a margarita pizza. The cost is reasonable considering how much you get but most of all the flavours. The service was very good also. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated. I'll definitely be back here, for the authentic Italian food. We were all stuffed but the food was not heavy. I needed a lie down afterwards.

The food was absolute delisiouse and cooked to perfection. A definate must do when staying in Bridge of Allen or univesity hotel. I would go back there. 🤤

Had the most amazing meal here! Divine food, and fantastic service. Really recommend!! I had the vegetarian antipasti to start and seafood risotto. So delicious!

Wow, the carbonara was excellent. They were out of bombolini but that's okay. Had ice cream instead. I do wish they didn't put Nutella on everything. Still, 5 stars, will come again for more carbonara.

First class food and service as always

Put simply I am 73 years old and this is possible the best food I have ever had in my entire life. I ordered the starter of meatballs in tomato sauce,the pate and a main course of penne norcina absolutely delicious I cannot recommend enough

We came here for a Sunday lunch with friends. The set meal menu was brilliant, good options that suited everyone at our table (including a one year old). No kids menu but they do smaller portions. Service was great and attentive. Portions were great and really good value for money. Think it's my new favourite Italian.

Went here for my graduation dinner and again as a treat and both times the manager was out front not only talking to customers but taking our orders, delivering our food etc etc etc. clearly a very hands on manager who takes his job seriously. Staff both times were incredibly attentive and we felt that we could ask a staff member for a refill/extra starter with no problem. Got the same starter and main course both times and the food was 10/10. Atmosphere is wonderful. Cannot wait to go again sometime

What an amazing place. We turned up without a booking however they gratefully accepted us. We were made to feel welcome from beginning to end. The waiter Antonio was attentive and helpful. The meals were freshly made and both of us said one of the best meals we have ever eaten. Beautiful. Thank you so much for making us feel special. It was special for us as we were visiting the area for the first time. We will both highly recommend this wee gem of a place and will be back to savour more delights.

We were a party of 5 -- four adults and a 9yr-old -- booked in (just after lunchtime the day before) for 6PM on a Thurs night. This was only the second time we've been in, but both times have been very reliable and tasty. The atmosphere is quiet and a little upscale. It's a moderately special occasion sorta place for us. I mentioned that one of us might need to leave early, and they accommodated our sharpish schedule no problem. We had two appetizers, mains, and desserts. The waiter had no problem choosing a wine for me and I enjoyed his suggestion (even though I changed my choice of mains from a creamy pasta to one with red sauce). I'm sure we will be back.

As good as Italy! It was lovely to eat at La Cucina and felt like being back home. The staff was very nice and the food great, served quickly and nicely presented too. The prices are very honest for the amount of food and the quality you get. Will definitely go back there to have a taste of Italy

We had a surprise 60th birthday for my sister here and there were 16 of us and I have never had such an amazing experience in all aspects of the meal and service !!! Outstanding food best I’ve tasted in fact every single person from the age of 9 to 60 thoroughly enjoyed the food not 1 complaint 🥳11/10

Fantastic local Italian restaurant with a wide range of typical dishes along with a few specials. Minimal, but quality, beer options with a great wine list. Top quality on every visit.

The food exceptional as always and brilliant wine! But what really made the night was the server, Dan I believe with the blue shirt was amazing, made the experience so personable and was attentive! Was a nice difference from a few months ago where service was a bit dry so thankyou for a lovely evening!

Visited on Friday lunch time. The set lunch is competitively priced, the food was very tasty and the staff courteous. There wasn't much atmosphere as there was only one other table occupied. Possibly a better atmosphere in the evening when the place is busier.

Amazing food, very tasty and the service was efficient the only thing I would improve was the proximity of the tables as we could hear the conversation of a dating couple. The risotto with seafood and the carbonara were delicious. Nice fancy place.

I ordered the spaghetti mare, which was very tasty; however, the portion size of the spaghetti felt a bit small. The prawns, including the shell and head, had a soft and non-firm texture, which was below expected quality standards.The tables are also placed quite close together, which made the seating area feel cramped and slightly uncomfortable.

Italian restaurant I found in Stirling while visiting the place . The food was tasty and the service was good enough . Ambiance I’m not sure how much to rate as I personally feel a little more lighting or a change to make the place more brighter would be great . Definitely recommended restaurant

Not child friendly AT ALL. I had booked a table for 2 (with a pram - which was included on the booking) for a birthday. Me, my partner and my 5 month old son (in a pram) were seated at a table in the corner of the restaurant (out of the way), blocking both the disabled toilet and the fire exit. On entering the restaurant the staff were very friendly, the only issue at that point was navigating through the restaurant with a pram, which there was not space to easily pass through and I expect would be worse for any wheelchair users. The baby changing facilities are in the hot (sauna-esk) disabled toilet, behind our table (which was not easy to get into). The baby changing table is broken in multiple places and heavily stained. The disabled toilet is also used to store cleaning equipment and other random items (not child friendly). Above all else, service was good up until my son started crying. He could barely be heard over the noise of the busy and bussling restaurant on a Saturday night and both my partner and I were quick to react to him and calm him down. However, from that point the service dramatically changed. The servers were trying to take our plates away before we'd finished eating, they seemed annoyed when my partner asked if we could order more drinks and within seconds of us finishing our meals, the bill was brought over (without any suggestion that we wanted the bill or were finished in the restaurant). I paid the bill, making no issue; we sat for a couple of minutes after (finishing our drinks) and the server came over suggesting they needed our table for another booking (the first mention of such). I do not take pleasure in sharing this as we have been there multiple times before and had wonderful food and great service, but after tonight's treatment, I will NOT be returning or recommending La Cucina to others.

My husband and I walked in, hoping for a nice place to celebrate the last night of our honeymoon. The reviews were good and the place wasn't busy at all (more than half the tables were empty). Server immediately told us they had nothing available. Very weird and unfriendly. Went across the street to "Friend of Mine" instead - much better atmosphere and good food.

Food was really bad, soup tasted like it was blasted in the microwave for ages. Bread was hard. There was a little worm in the salad. Steak was so under cooked - asked for medium and got rare. All you could hear was the chefs laughing in the background. Only thing was the waiter was really nice. However the bill was so expensive and the experience was very disappointing
