An unforgettable dining experience thanks to Jean! We had an absolutely wonderful evening at this restaurant, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible waiter, Jean. From the very first moment, Jean made us feel truly welcome. His professionalism, warm personality, and genuine care for our experience were exceptional. He knew the menu perfectly, gave great recommendations, and paid attention to every small detail — our glasses were never empty, our timing was perfect, and we never felt rushed or forgotten. What really stood out was his attitude. Jean doesn’t just “do his job” — he creates an atmosphere. He made our evening feel special, relaxed, and enjoyable. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and that energy transfers directly to the guests. It’s rare to meet a server who combines kindness, efficiency, knowledge, and charm so naturally. The food was delicious. Akmaral provided excellent service and every recommendation she gave was perfect. She told us which meals were traditionally served on which occasions and it felt homey. The ambiance was impeccable with nice mood lighting and beautiful decor including shields and artwork. The seating is also very comfortable. I’d gladly return anytime I’m in the area!

We ordered a lot of food, half steamed and half fried dumplings, crispy eggplant, plov lamb and honey cake. I would say any plov is really good and the fried eggplant is a surprise, very crispy yet sweet and sour. The environment is really comfy, good for friends gathering or just family outing

We had a fantastic dinner experience here with top-notch food and ambience. We opted for the Black Angus beef Plov, Lula plate , beef skewers as mains & kompot, beef Samsa as Appetizers. The Plov was perfect - not too oily and well-seasoned. The kompot, a traditional Central and Eastern European drink made from dry fruits, was exceptionally good and a must-try. Samsa was delicious. The Lula plate (similar to Shish kebab) was soft, tender, and juicy. However, I didn't enjoy the beef skewers, as the taste wasn't to my liking, although the texture was soft. This place offers a semi-fine dining experience, with the added advantage of serving halal food. Parking is convenient, with plenty of shared parking spots behind the restaurant. A fine musician playing the violin during our dinner made the experience truly memorable.

One painting on their wall was so mesmerizing, I actually reached out to the artist they commissioned! The decor is a perfect blend of cozy, traditional and feels like you are in Mongolia 🇲🇳 making it a great spot for date nights, gatherings and even weddings (I love seeing all the couples having their mini receptions here). But the real star here is the food. Oh, the food! Everything on the menu is a winner. Seriously, you can close your eyes, scroll through the menu, and point to anything—it’ll be amazing. That said, I do have a few personal favorites: ✨ Mushroom Soup: Comforting, rich, and full of flavor—this is the hug-in-a-bowl you didn’t know you needed. ✨ Bread with Egg: (I can’t remember the name, but trust me, you’ll know it when you see it!) Warm, pillowy bread with a perfectly cooked egg—it’s a dream. ✨ Chicken Tabaka: Crispy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. A must-try. ✨ Meat Tower: Yes, you read that right. The steak is so tender it melts in your mouth like butter. Need I say more? A quick heads-up for my fellow cilantro-averse friends: let the staff know if you’re not a fan or have an allergy. Some dishes feature unexpected cilantro touches in glazes or marinades. But that’s the only “gotcha” here—everything else is pure perfection. In short, Jibek Jolu is a culinary treasure. Jibek Jolu is truly one of my favorite spots. The plov is incredible - perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and really makes you feel at home. I’ve been coming here for the past three years, and every meal has been a 10 out of 10. They’re so consistent with quality, from the main dishes to the desserts. Last time, the dessert we tried was just as delightful as the main course. It’s clear they put care into every detail. A fantastic place with amazing food, friendly service, and a wonderful ambiance. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

What a beautiful unique restaurant, full of character!! My girls and I came for a night out on a Friday night and the second I walked in I noticed their live music and the cool design of the restaurant. Was definitely a pleasant welcome. The food was delicious. I got the hanging skewer and that chicken was juicy and so flavorful. The server was polite and accommodating to our needs. Overall, we really enjoyed our night here!

A wonderful place for lunch and dinner! Everything was perfect. We ordered shashlik, borscht, salad, cheburek and honey cake. Everything was very tasty, the portions were large. Today we were celebrating my mom’s birthday, and Jibek, who was hosting us, was absolutely wonderful. She truly represents this restaurant. It is such a beautiful coincidence that her name and the restaurant share the same meaning — it really feels like the Silk Road. She is kind, thoughtful, and simply amazing. Great atmosphere. Wholesome ingredients. Good quality food. Have been here at least five times already, and each time food quality and customer service is consistent. Most recent time, Erzhan helped me with my order, great customer service. My parents also had their wedding anniversary celebration dinner here too. I think they also have another location in the city in case driving to Glenview is far for people.

We come to Jibek Jolu often and everything is always great. Servers, Erzhan and Alex, are both excellent; friendly, attentive, and consistent every time we visit. We had our usual mushroom soup, beef skewer, crispy eggplant, Caesar salad, and Moroccan tea, and everything was delicious. This place never disappoints.

Jibek Jolu has amazing food and drinks. The food comes out in a reasonable amount of time and is always fresh. The drinks are well proportion and very tasty. I’ve been here multiple times. Both times when I’ve came with one other person it seems like you have to hunt down your waitress. It took 30 minutes for the waitress to come out from the back so we could wave her down for the check. And the one time I came alone, I sat at the bar. Same thing happened. But then again I did come on a slow lunch day so I really don’t blame them.

We came here to try different cuisine other than our regular, and we are so glad we did… the beet bisque and honey cake were our favorite!. We certainly will come back once more to try other dishes

Soup was good, bread not good quality, the meat was tasty and water taste from the sink. Service was nice the wait is kind of long depending how full the place is and they have music after 6:30 pm on Sunday is when I went the hostess so nice and respectful the same with the miss waitress. The place is nice !

This place is fun. Huge dining area. Lots of interesting clientele. Diverse wait staff. It was a real adventure. They even have Latvian liquor of all things. If you get the dumplings, get them fried. Much better than steamed. The plov with lamb was tasty but just a little salty for my taste. The lamb was a little sheepy, but not overly so. The best thing was the khachapuri. It was so good but also immensely filling. Get it. Overall a great place and a great chance to try cuisine from a region that does not get much representation.

I would say that the dinner was okay, but the service must be better. Our server Erzhan wasn’t very attentive, he was focused more on the bigger parties. The best part of the dinner was the honey cake.

Some dishes hit you with a smell so strong it feels like you’ve just been dropped in the middle of the Mongolian steppe wide open plains, horses running, the whole thing. The plov was definitely in that category. Khachapuri? Totally beginner friendly, anyone can dive in, no training required haha. The dumplings were alright, but they just couldn´t hold it together literally. The kebab meh. I didn’t find it worth the value.
