Food was hot, plentiful and delicious. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Great breakfast, great prices. Prompt service with a very friendly staff. Bit of a wait when we got there, but the staff and food more than made up for it.
Great place, food was great, homemade, the service quick and friendly, and very reasonable prices. Will definitely be returning. Would highly recommend this restaurant
Food was great tasting. Service was fast. Wait staff pleasant and friendly. Nice place to eat
This place is great! Food is delicious and the service is awesome. Stop by!
Excellent diner for breakfast and lunch! The prices are very fair and the food is delicious (definitely would recommend the biscuits with sausage gravy). The staff are incredibly nice and very helpful, making this a great stop for a bite!
Great place to eat The service was great and the customers were very friendly. Plan on going back soon.
This is a hidden gem! My first time there. Had one of the best tasting burgers I've ever had! Waitress was very nice. Can't wait to go back.
Food and service were excellent, have no problem sending friends there. Stop for a meal every couple months. Staff is great, friendly and always willing to share a laugh.
Had a nice brunch here with extended family. There was a bunch of us and they handled us expertly. Great food and fast service! I will definitely be coming back.
You definitely won't leave this place hungry. Plenty of choices and great food at modest prices. Cooked to order so make sure you have time to enjoy your selection.
So glad we stopped here on our way out of town. Everyone's food was great, good portions, very reasonable prices, and exceptional friendly service.
Excellent service, family friendly... Had a large family group of nine, we were all serviced properly, and reasonably. Very nice family owned diner! Check out Jackie's any and every time!

First time there. Went with my sister and her husband. Had 2 small children with me and they were absolutely amazing. I will recommend this place.
Food is great! Waitresses are always polite. If you want good homemade food with at home atmosphere Jackie's Diner is the place to go.
Large portions, delicious food and very friendly service! If your looking for a little fancier than a little shotgun diner but still want lower prices and a diner experience that you might not get at a regular restaurant this is the place to go!
Great service and food. Reasonable prices and good quantity of food. Fritatta was very good.
Awesome place to eat. Jackie and her daughter's are so friendly, especially Melinda. The food is excellent home cooking and plenty of it and reasonably priced.
Love, love this place. Everytime we go to breakfast there, the food is excellent, the service quick and pleasant, as well as the entire staff💞💞
Great prices and excellent customer service! There was a bit of a wait for the food, but good quality and taste takes time. I will come back for sure.
The food was good. The atmosphere was nice and the service was great.
At the beginning I was not sure if it was the right decision coming because everything look out dated and old and I was wondering about the food. But our waitress was new I regret forgetting her name because she really made us feel welcome, and I appreciated that. She was really sweet and everyone of staff that was around was really nice. Food was super good and cheap I will be coming back.
one of a kind! very friendly, down to earth staff, clean, inviting old country charm. Server was so sweet and attentive. Food was great. Highly recommend this little gem!
staff was amazing, and really sweet. food was wicked good, best breakfast food ive had when visiting upstate ny. the waitress was really nice to me, and i havent seen that in alot of places when i visit upstate anymore (im trans) so it made a massive difference. ill always visit Jackie's if im in upstate.
We happened across Jackie’s when I was in the area and we’re SO glad we did! I had one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! The three of us had fluffy, delicious pancakes with real maple syrup, perfectly cooked over easy eggs, incredibly fluffy scrambled eggs, crisp perfect bacon, yummy corned beef hash, and a juicy cheeseburger perfectly cooked to order, and fries. My coffee was was filled without asking and the servers were all friendly. If Jackie’s was closer to home we’d be eating there way too frequently!
My mom and her boyfriend are regulars here. From what I was told, he was apprehensive about bringing me, as I can be a bit of a "Karen" when it comes to food. Not only were the pancakes delicious, the bacon tasted like it came off a griddle and was wonderfully crunchy The service was not only stupendous, but was delivered with a smile every time. The staff kept cool, organized and as quick as could possibly be with the restaurant packed, including a big party. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND EAT HERE, MATTER HOW HARD IT MAY BE TO FIND A SPOT. SOOOOOO WORTH IT
Had lunch with my sister and our Aunt. The food was wonderful. I had the Seafood Wrap, my sister the Fish Sandwich and my Aunt the TurkeyMelt.. All of it was fresh, flavorful and plenty ! Our coffee cups stayed full and the service was excellent ! Everyone was very pleasent, we never felt rushed and thoroughly enjoy our meal. And the Prices are great! WELL worth the meal. It was the perfect way to celebrate my Aunts Birthday. Will definitely return.
Great food and atmosphere. Brought my 6-year old for some breakfast during the week and did not disappoint. Attention to detail and pleasant service. Familiar favorites on the menu. Will certainly visit again with more family.
Great dinner! Go every year for mother Day and they never disappoint!
Jackie's Diner is my go-to spot for delicious breakfast sandwiches on my way to work. The sandwiches are mouthwatering, the service is efficient, and the cozy ambiance adds to the experience. Highly recommend for busy mornings!
This is a hometown favorite. Can't beat this for breakfast and lunch. Not sure how the dinners are but I'm sure with the quality of the other two they're equally as good. Jackie and her staff are well liked by everyone and they go out of the way to make sure you are well taken care of. Jackie has been in the food business a long time and we have enjoyed her at each location and consider her a good friend.
Visited for breakfast after a funeral nearby. The extremely warm and attentive service improved our spirits immensely. Food was wonderful as well as affordable. Thank you Jackie’s!!
Eggs Benedict was very good, western omelette was good but onions needed to be cooked a tad more. Added cheese for an extra $1.00. Over all excellent value.
Food was amazingly delicious!! Service was friendly and fun. Will be going back
Great place to meet a good friend for breakfast. Felt like we just ordered and our food came out. Great omlette and hash browns.
This place is the go to for good food and good (friendly) service. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The owner is very sweet and works harder than anyone there. Prices are really decent and portions are generous. I've never left hungry. Sometimes things aren't perfect when it's busy but I've never left unhappy and hungry. The place was just re-done inside and outside not too long ago. So they do have outside seating which is great on a nice day. Forgot to post a picture but next time I get a chance I will. Be happy and stay healthy. Have a nice day.🙂
This place looks bigger from the outside, I swear, but once you get in, it's very cozy and the food is great. Service is excellent, too. I have driven past this place many times and didn't even realize what it was. So if you are in the area and want to go for some good food, stop here.
Very nice place to eat, staff is always awesome
My boyfriend and I both got burgers and had the breaded mushroom app. The burgers were amazing. Not too greasy and not at all dry. The waitress (I forget her name) was so nice and personable. 10/10 would recommend
I love this place!!! Definitely recommend to any and all! Great service! Fast service! Amazing food, brings me back to my childhood going to diners with my grandpa! Check em out
Got there 15 minutes before Sunday closing at 1pm. Got great service and awesome breakfast, the coffee was fresh and delicious. The server was animated, friendly and efficient. Genuinely a really good experience all the way around. The prices were the best we have seen . Thinking of ways to get back there. We live 2 hours away.
We had a great breakfast today with our dear friend !! Food, service and atmosphere was great !! Highly recommend! 🍳 🥓 ☕️
Good food at reasonable prices. Friendly, professional service.
Stopped there during a snowstorm with my father, brother, and uncle. Staff was very friendly, welcoming, and courteous. We ordered three burgers and a chef salad. The burgers were cooked to perfection; very juicy and tasteful. They gave you a choice of three different kinds of fries. You could get fresh cut, frozen or sweet potato. We ordered the fresh cut and was given the option of gravy on the fries or on the side. The gravy for the fries was nice and thick. It was just the correct proportion for the portion of fries given. My uncle's salad was more than enough for one person and the rolled deli meats looked fresh. The salad looked very tasteful, even though I did not try it. My uncle just about finished it all. Great spot to stop and get a good meal at a great price. I'll definitely be stopping there next time I'm up that way.
Best breakfast spot! I hadn't been since I was a kid and came in today and had the best home fries I've gotten in a long time. The staff was so friendly and checked up on us as needed. Can't wait to come back!
Local favorite always friendly good fast friendly service great to take the family to always a good verity of food at affordable prices 😀 Mexican omelet and four coners French toast home fries 🍟 cheese omelet sausage and bacon and cheese 🧀 can't say enough if you leave hungry it's your fault well established in the community
Great breakfast at very reasonable prices. Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend.
Breakfast was great. The prices are very reasonable and service was amazing.
Love it when I can get to Jackie's. Great food quick friendly service.
Everything there is to love about an American Diner can br found at Jackie's. I hope it never changes. Steak and eggs breakfast is the king.
The food was good and the service was outstanding. Thank you
Great diner atmosphete, excellent food and service and convenient location makes this establishment a great food stop.
Great food, friendly waitresses, great portion for the price.well worth going. I will defiantly be returning to try another one of there fabulous dishes.
It's a very nice diner with friendly staff , the service and food were excellent. My brother and I both got the Philly Cheese Steak with fries , and coffee . The meal was more than enough as I couldn't finish mine , but my brother is no rookie , he was just getting warmed up ... It's worth stopping.
In A Nutshell: -Jackie's Diner is the type of mom & pop diner you think of when you want to enjoy great food w/ great service at a great price in small town USA. -Located off Highway 29 in Gloversville in Upstate New York, you will find this gem. -I ordered, "The Route Twenty Niner" breakfast which consisted of 3 eggs, home fries, corned beef hash & toast for only $9.50! -If you look at their menu you will see many affordable prices like we went back in time before inflation. -The corned beef hash was so darn good, I highly recommend it. Overall, the service is really top-notch here, so friendly w/ much needed humor in today's world. I love Jackie's Diner!!!
This was my first time eating here. Amy was our server and she was very friendly and had us laughing. I ordered the grilled marinated chicken salad and my husband had the eggs, hash browns with toast and everything was really good! The marinated chicken was really tender and was really tasty! The portion size was pretty large too. We look forward to going back again.
They are always very busy, and the food is always delicious. Unfortunately, the menu has changed since COVID, and it’s missing a few of my favorites, but the soup never disappoints.
Food was really good. Friendly service Warm atmosphere
Good service. Friendly waitress. Great Reuben sandwich and French fries. Plus a nice blooming onion for an appetizer. Jackie's is a good local go to spot.
One of my favorite breakfast locations. Sometimes the wait can be quite long, but Jackie does her best to get food out hot and tasty and I have seen that place packed to the brim and they still make it work.
Ate here with three friends recently. Two had mushroom burgers with fries and gravy, another had a seafood wrap with macaroni salad, and I had chicken and biscuits. Service was a little pokey, but OK. The waitress got two minor things wrong, a drink order and a side, but was quickly corrected. Everything was good as reported by all; typical diner food at very reasonable prices. Nothing spectacular, but portions were good and the total bill for four was under $50. Nice little hole in the wall. Will stop again if traveling that way.
Breakfast is AWESOME here and the price you just can't beat. Lunch however wasn't as great as we had hoped. The chicken tenders were mostly bread and the fish tasted like an unseasoned piece you get from the freezer section of Walmart. We've never tried dinner but I think we'll stick to breakfast. The waffles are to die for and the specials are always spot on.
Comfort diner experience. Good food and friendly service. Jackie is always there to keep things on track. Stop by when you're in the area!
While the food was decent enough, and edible, it just wasn't "pleasing". I ordered an Omelette, expecting what I am used to. Instead, it was as if the cook tried to wrap up all the ingredients, into a tight square instead. Not to mention that what I ordered, was all packed very tightly onto 1 small plate, giving me no room really, to cut into my food. The person I was with, ordered Eggs Benedict. One of the portions was a mess, with the egg being on the plate itself, and the meat being on the other side of the plate. She also mentioned that the "sauce" used, wasn't all that tasty, and not like anything she had had before. The atmosphere was fine, just as you would expect from a Diner in a smaller area. The service was fantastic tho, the waitress was very friendly and right on top of everything. Prices were reasonable for the area as well.
I enjoyed myself here! It had a pleasant atmosphere and everything was clean and tidy. Our waitress was so nice and friendly and very attentive. We ordered the patty melt and crispy chicken wrap. They were each a good size and tasty. We also ordered the blooming onion; it was ok. I think their fryer oil was either old, not hot enough, or both. Overall, I had a great experience and would come here again.
Great food and service. Pleasant atmosphere.
Jackie's was a very friendly place, service was great, food was very good, always ask if you needed anything, very friendly employee.
The food is your typical diner food. The staff is friendly at times depending on if they know you or not. I do not recommend going here if you are on a time crunch. It can sometimes take awhile for the food to come out but when it does it is pretty good. Coffee is always a plus here.
Very cute & nostalgic feeling diner. The food was great. The eggs were fantastic so I recommend an omelet and the corned beef hash! The service was fast, even on a busy morning. The interactions with the wait staff were quick and to the point, but overall an enjoyable experience. Happy we found this place while we were in town !
My first time visiting this establishment, went with two friends for a bite to eat. The prices are a little high, but so are most other small business. We each had something different and I forgot to take pics of our dishes. One friend had an omelet w/toast, another had sausage gravy over biscuits, and I had a hamburger that came with fries. They enjoyed their food, but my own personal opinion about what I had is "great". The burger was delicious and the fries were wonderful. Just a personal opinion, but I don't think they should charge extra for lettuce, tomatoes, and onions? Quit honestly that's the first time I have ever seen that situation. The "plain" burger with fries is $7, if you want the " extras" it's $10, $3 more for lettuce, tomatoes, and onions ... no thank you. The woman that were there waiting on us were very pleasant, Stacy and Susan I believe. The restaurant is decorated very nicely for the holidays. Not sure if I would go back again because of the pricing. I forgot to mention, you only get one biscuit with the sausage gravy (had to ask/pay for an extra). So all in all, the place is pretty decent, but the menu and prices need some work.
Food was really great. Took a while for the food to come out. Wait staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Needs a lil updating. Ripped seats were a bit hard to sit on. Fries were not cooked fully and special order of no cheese, came with cheese. Wont be our first choice. Waitress was friendly.
While my food was good, my boyfriend and his Mother had issues with theirs. Burnt potatoes, and bland omelets.
GOOGLE MAPS!!!PLEASE STOP ASKING ME ABOUT A PLACE THAT I ONLY LOOKED FOR DIRECTIONS!!!
Nothing special really. Food wasn't worth the price. Youd think with the prices of their food, they'd have a water softener installed....Don't ask for a glass of water. Wasn't busy when we went and yet couldn't get a server to come back to my table...The Irish Benedict was decent though
Just an unfortunate dining experience. The service was slow, even though the front of house was not busy. I waited for 40 mins for a Gentleman's Breakfast that included a very over-done steak and runny eggs. The owner came to our table and apologized for the service from the kitchen, but groused about her grandson being on the grill. All in all, a very lackluster outting.
The food was okay I guess but my biggest problem was the server she was very rube and we asked for more coffee and we didn't get it .so I asked a nother woman to get it for us. So needless to say I'm not going back there.
What I liked most about this place is the nice size portions. The prices are relatively cheap and the waitress was very nice and friendly! The food on the other hand is the crappiest. It's bland with a weird after taste I'm not sure who's the cook but they need to hire someone else. I rather keep going to Early Bird's Diner for better tasting, well cooked breakfast. Won't be coming back.
I work in a restaurant. I had never been here before. Tuesday early afternoon, We walked in, a table of 4, I asked a girl behind the counter on the left of we seated ourselves. She said yes sure find a table. On our way to a table we saw menus sitting on a table so we grabbed them. We were basically yelled at for getting the menus becasue if we get out own menus, both waitresses will think the other one brought them menus and we will never get any service. So I apologized and she continued to explain the "rules" relentlessly even though they were not posted. We literally almost left. Whatever move on maybe she's stressed about something. I'd say the place was about half full. I ordered scrambled eggs with ham home fries and wheat toast. Second plate hash and a waffle with strawberry on the side. Third plate scrambled eggs hash browns and white toast. Fourth plate french toast for a 4 year old. They did not use real eggs. It was boxes scrambled eggs and they were extremely under cooked, inedible. The home fries were good. The hash browns were not cooked. The waffle was cold but good. The French toast was cold but good. We didn't let anyone know we were unhappy with the food. We paid full price and tipped twenty percent. But we will not go back.
I wish i could give this restaurant a good review. This used to be my favorite place to eat. It was The Aging Still years ago, and when it switched to Jackie's, I was excited to continue eating there by the food is just lacking on every level. There's no flavor to anything, a lot of the food has that previously frozen taste, and I just can't bring myself to eat there anymore. It's really a shame because it's a great location and the staff is usually pretty friendly.
Upon entering, walker got caught on loose floor molding . Ordered soup/sandwich..soup brought out immediately... next person ordered fried clams.. didn't want tossed salad..brought to table in bag .you can take this home...two other meals came out..then clams..couldn't chew..waitress said they were the only ones left..another ordered wings.. we're all out...45 mins to get an omelette... disappointed to especially because it was a birthday celebration.. beautiful family get together.. company was heartwarming...ps..my cat couldn't even chew thru clam.. 👎
Our waiter doesn't understand what we want, the chairs are either too hard and peeling or too soft and baggy, the is cheap and in a plastic bottle and looks like they took it out of a mini fridge and didn't come from a dispenser, and it's just a cheap pigsty for people in my opinion. No offense.
This place certainly doesn't live up to some of the reviews. My friends Eggs and sausage turned out to be powdered eggs and under cooked Italian sausage. The toast was supposed to be gluten-free guess we'll find out. My deluxe hamburger patty does not come with cheese or bacon and was only half the size of the bun. Still it was tasty when compared to the microwaved french fries I received. Asked for gravy with original order and again after the food was brought out without it was completely ignored by the server both times. Don't think even gravy would've helped those french fries though.
Absolutely Disgusted!! The Absolute worst service ever! Waited 30 minutes for a salad while others were served who came in well after me. Server had barefeet!! Sulfar water and dirty silverware..Gross!! The food was mediocre! If you are not a local... KEEP DRIVING!! 🤬🤬
a different person brought our food to us so i asked for a refill on my sweet tea and she had the audacity to tell me you have to ask your waiter honey but can go laugh with the old folk next table. it takes two seconds to refill the already made sweet tea. 🤔 came here again. yet again another disappointment. we had the rudest waiter there and she only came to take our order. some other girl brought us our food. she didn’t even come back to give us drink refills or ask us how our food was. which the good was disgusting today. the potatoes were old and i had eggshells left in my food. IN MY FOOD. then we had to ask for our check so we could leave. was def thinking about bouncing outta there.
We hadn't gone to Jackies for years. So we tried it again. Disappointing. The service has always been slow and still is. I had the cream of mushroom soup. It wasn't hot and the mushrooms were canned. I ordered the chicken and biscuits for my entree. The dry white meat was placed on an open biscuit with gravy. So dry. I had to ask for more gravy. We wont go back.
Waited an hour for a wrap, and it never came, while we watched every table around us get served, even though we were there before them. We left because our lunch hour was over, and we still had to pay for our sodas, which we feel should have been comped for the inconvenience. Breakfast service is usually fine. Lunch service is terrible!
My first time ever in the place, will never go back. I wish I could give less than 1 star. We Waited for 20 minutes after sitting at breakfast time before anyone came over to get our drinks order or even gave us menus. The place is empty we were the only table there, so busy was not an excuse. I can see why it was empty.. There was a stack of menus that we could have just grabbed ourselves.. but there was a large rude sign that said " do not touch menus". Food took a long time to be brought out. Mine was cold. And my waffle was so hard I could barely bite it. Our waitress never came back. Not to check on us not to bring the bill, nothing. We had to walk to the bar to get our check and while we were standing there trying to cash out the 2 staff members that were there, proceeded to have a full out screaming match with each other, IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS!!!!! Screaming, yelling, swearing, and throwing things, along with slamming doors... Highly professional...
Just left from there. Ordered drinks, and a few plates of food for my wife, baby and I. Got my water and iced tea. Waited 50+ minutes for food. The people next to us ended up getting there check, ordered to go orders and got theirs before we got anything. That was the last straw and I left money (too much) for the iced tea. It wasn't even that busy, maybe 6 tables.
DO NOT GO HERE. My first one star but if you go you will understand. Waiter was very very rude. Did not like that we waited longer to look at the menu. Never smiled. Just basic questions in a rude tone and left. Food was okay but pretty greasy and it gave me a headache. Soup was flavorless like it was made with water and no broth and found a tiny bone in it. When we left the waitresses were fighting because our waiter charged other customers extra because they "were unaprecciative".
If there was a negative zero option this place earned it. My husband and I went for New Years weekend breakfast and it was literally the worst experience ever. We ordered two omelettes, home fries and toast with two coffees and an ice water. We received our coffees and water, finished both long before our meal came and never received a refill. The meal came and the toast was sitting atop the home fries so absorbed all the heat and grease so was limp and soggy. The home fries were over cooked and hard. The omelettes were scary with a rancid taste. Took one bite, gagged and said forget it. My husband was the same. Someone, not our waitress because we never saw her again after we received our one coffee, asked if I wanted a to go container and my husband explained the omelette was inedible. She immediately said, oh, I have to talk to the cook about not using the same pan or grill once he's made a seafood omelette. Ever heard of cross contamination in food preparation??? So, that explained the foul taste of the eggs. Totally disgusting and I consider them fortunate that neither of us have a seafood allergy. Beware of this place.
