Crab enchiladas were spectacular the cream green sauce was the star of the show. Arroyo enchiladas decent but if go back to the crab
Excellent experience. This was my first time and I ordered a few simple items for lunch on a Sunday. The ceviche, chips/salsa, and my one margarita were delicious. I also ordered the Flan and a cappuccino, both really good as well. I will return for dinner or takeout. A bit costly though ($60 w/20% tip) but quality food and average for the area/dishes.
Really good food and amazing service. We sat at the bar this time and just have never had a bad experience. Enjoy!!
Wow, completely impressed. We were greeted once we walked in and were offered the opportunity to eat outside or inside. Our waitress did an outstanding job. The owner was present and greeted every table, outstanding job. I ordered the Juanito’s protein burrito, Based on what other people had said about it. I can’t describe how delicious it was. It came with a citrus salad that also was outstanding . Had a very enjoyable dinner, will be coming back very soon thank you.
Casual Mexican food restaurant serving traditional favorites, as well as a few more creative, specialty entrees that will keep you coming back for more. Went for dinner and ordered the chips and guacamole to start, followed by the steak and chicken fajitas. The guacamole was fresh but simple. The chicken and beef in the fajitas was tender and well marinaded. The homemade corn tortillas were soft and delicious.
Great food, quality of presentation and service is top notch. I had Carne Campestre (well done) and the meat was juicy and tender. The vegetables were well cooked/grilled and perfect. I love food from México, perhaps I am not too old (but bold/stupid enough) to find myself a 2nd mujer South of the Borders. I'd clean dishes and she can do the cooking, clean la casita, feed the chickens, cows&goats, plow the land, keep an eye out for bandidos and bad hombres, do oil changes, gutters maintenance, fix the well pump, do taxes, perform Colonoscopies, and other duties as needed/requested. Sorry no pictures to show, I was hungry. 01/19/2022 Update, "DIOS MIO!! the portions are noticeably smaller than on my last visit. I took pictures and you decide. The prices were about the same, but not the amount of food. It felt like eating at a European Restaurant. The flavors, freshness still there, but man when you eat Mexico's food you eat BIG servings, like the ones in Los Agaves in De La Vina st.
Wonderful flavor and food presentation. Attentive service and welcoming atmosphere. I enjoyed the mango salsa, guacamole and shrimp enchiladas.
Excellent service and delucious food. Highly recommend the ribeye steak with tropical salad and beans. Also top notch was the pork pozole. All generous servings.
This place has a very elegant bar with two tv's. They have a good range of tequila and wine drinks. Also, they a good selection of salsas. The food range from good to excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We ordered the Quinoa salad, enchiladas, quesadillas de flor de la calabaza. Squash quesadillas and quinoa salad were great. Dinner was a combination of authentic and American food. The tortillas tasted homemade and fresh, excellent. Something did not quite hit the authenticity bar though. Plus points for creativity in the two appetizers: sliced beets, pomegranate, avocado and almonds in the salad. Leather menus were a nice touch. Seating outside with good weather and heaters. I did not try their drinks but would not be surprised if they are excellent here.

Read some reviews. Stopped in to get food to go. The girl behind the bar taking the orders to go was amazing. She was so friendly and helpful when I was undecided what to get. All smiles. Ordered the trio. Soft taco, crunchy taco, enchilada Rojas (everything chicken). Crunchy taco was delicious as was the enchilada. Was too full to eat the soft taco. Rice and beans were great. Salsa was yum too. Everything very flavorful. Food tasted very fresh. If I were a local I’d eat here frequently.
We showed up on a Sunday at about 6pm and they were able to seat our party of 8 on the patio with no issues. The heaters made it nice and toasty. The food was well spiced with plenty of overlapping flavors that made it very tasty. Cocktails were interesting and well-made. We would definitely return.
3 of us came for a bit of a late lunch. Service, including chips and salsa, was quick and friendly. Our orders also came quickly. They brought me fajitas with carnitas, which wasn't on the menu. All our meals were excellent. Prices seemed a bit high for lunch, but prices everywhere seem high to me.
Love this place. Food, service, atmosphere, was great. Staff is amazing! Will definitely be back.

Food was good, but nothing really blew me away. The cheese in my relleno wasn't melted but the relleno dish overall was muy delicioso. Service was awesome tho, quick and answered any questions I had. Atmosphere doesnt match the prices. Large drink selections.
Highly recommend the crab enchilada! Service was superb. The portions/price ratio was perfect. Oh, and the ceviche was delicious. The chicken and steak enchiladas were good, not great, but good.
9/21/23 Update: Burrito week - Runaway burrito looked nothing like the photo in the SB Independent. Morning but rice, beans, meat, and cheese. 9/11/23 Update: Tacos Zarandeado we're excellent, but California salad was pretty lame. Exactly 1.5 cherry tomatoes, minimal corn, and pretty bland overall. Usually the margaritas make up for any shortcomings in the food, but my margarita today was weak. I guess it depends on who the bartender and who the cook is but today was not great. Great place for a bite and a drink in Goleta. Too bad they don't do happy hour anymore. Good margaritas with a decent house tequila, and don't miss taco Tuesday.
Sat at the bar, bartender was great, WI. Had chicken fajitas. I recommend the hottest hot sauce to add to it. It made it well worth it. I will be going back to that restaurant next chance, I get
Service was great, complimentary chips with mild and spicy chips await, burrito mojado was delicious. Ample shared parking lot. Will certainly be back to try more dishes!

Good food, slow service. I really want to like this place because it is walking distance from my home. Last time I was eating there, I literally was two bites away from finishing my entrée before my margarita showed up, and I ordered them at the same time. I just picked up a takeout order. The food was ready, I could see it. But I was third in the takeout pickup line. There was one woman handling all the takeout orders and taking orders by phone. Meanwhile there are three servers standing just a few feet away chit-chatting by the kitchen window. I was standing there for about 5 minutes before one of them finally started addressing the line, and then immediately after another one did. I wish these were one off scenarios rather than the pattern. If I go here, I just have to anticipate the service will be slow.

Overall food was not so great tasting . Took an about 15 minutes before we got waiters attention to order. Food came out super fast like fast food. Restaurant looks recycled from Palomas. Prices too high for quality of food. Will not be coming back.
