What can I say about Crazy Chicken besides that it's as good as I remember it as a child. Always a good value and the food is always good. I wish their rice and beans had a home cooked flavor. It's a go to for my family when we want quick and good.

We ordered from the catering Menu and all my food was ready when i picked it up. All nicely packed, got plates and utencils. The manager (Jonathan) provided outstanding service. They specialize in chicken, and for fast food, the quality is the best. They have $5 dollar items that are great for the price, as well as regular meals that are priced reasonably. The drive-thru goes fast, and the service is good. I'm a regular customer.

Bottom line... I base ratings for chain restaurants on cleanliness, is the food prepared with care or is it sloppy, and most important.., service. At this particular El Pollo Loco for this day, everything was great and the service from all employees was fantastic.

Always had a good experience at this location. It's usually very busy here but the food is good quality and service is good too. Tostadas, bowls, brc burrito, tacos al carbone, and their sides are all very good. l like their shrimp items too. Good safe location with convenient shopping nearby and also next door at Staples.

I got two chicken breasts and two sides that tasted amazing and the gentleman who took my order and gave me the food was extremely helpful and nice and going above his duty, the guys name was Junior I hope the restaurant sees this and give him his recognition!

When I want to break up my Nutrition routine from time to time, El Pollo Loco takes care of that. Most of time I just order Chicken Breast either by itself or a bundle and spread it out over a few days. Sometimes I will order Spanish Rice & Broccoli as well. Never disappointed with Chicken Breast...Always moist and juicy. El Pollo Loco is the place when you want to eat out...but to eat healthy as well.

Ok so, earlier today at 5pm during lunch rush , traffic rush, and just regular bad street timing I had ordered a somewhat big order, 14 piece family meal, large mash potatoes, large beans, and 6 tacos al carbon. Living in the top area of porter ranch, especially after the fire which was strenuous on the mind, Once I got home and finally ready to eat I noticed, The chicken was just very dry, burnt, and the skin was not edible, I noticed it, called Pollo Loco I spoke to A VERY LOVELY PERSON NAMED SHERICE! Ugh she made my day! She heard me out, was EXTREMELY KIND, PROFESSIONAL, SWEET, and HUMAN!! WITHOUT HESITATION she offered me a replacement meal and was very outgoing about it. You don’t really find that type of person, management, and let alone restaurants that are so willing to make it feel like they truly understand and are apologetic!!! She rocks! SHERICE!! You’re genuinely an asset to that company! If you ever need a change of employment, I own my own business which is very largely known, established and you’ll have a very good financial opportunity with benefits paid! This has to definitely be one of the best places that serve chicken, it's always well-cooked and fresh. I ordered a double chicken tostada and it was definitely better than other places I've eaten at. The staff are also very friendly and it's just a great place in general!

This restaurant brings back fond memories. Thirty years ago we went to this restaurant in San Diego when we were first married. Years later, today we were able to come back and enjoy your food many times more.

My husband & I eat at this location at least once a week. Occasionally, a server throws a plate together too quickly and you’re shorted on an item. I’ve complained about this several times and when shown the problem, the staff immediately and without question, make up a new plate, or add in extra of the item. I don’t deliberately complain, but it’s your money. This location makes good for their error!

This El Pollo Loco in Northridge was great! Even though they had a steady stream of customers while we were there, we didn't wait long to order or receive our food, at all. The employees were nice enough. My sister and I ate there last Saturday, and the dining area was very clean. I would go there again.

The chicken tasted great. Best pollo loco. The chicken was juicy and tender. It was not dried out at all. They had ample searing and good parking. Everything was great! Great prices for the food you are paying for.

It was raining and cold and this was perfect for lunch. So yummy. And the portions was big and good too. I had to take a 15 min. nap. Lol. The staff was very friendly. God Bless All at El Pollo Loco. Friendliest staff. Superb food quality. Clean dining area. One of my favorite El Pollo Loco spots to dine in. Employees are always so kind and professional. The only bad experiences I've had here are with customers being rude and disrespectful to the employees. Of the many times I've dined here, there have always been incidents with problematic customers and the staff have always handled these situations in a professional manner. I don't know El Pollo Loco's store policy but this old "the customer is always right" is outdated. Protect your employees from nasty customers!

Excellent food! The first time I saw their awesome name on a sign, I wondered how their food was. Now that I know, I wish I would have visited sooner. I love the way they prepare chicken. The menu has a lot of healthy options, and the condiment bar provides a different levels of spicy from mild to "fiery." In sum: Yo amo el pollo loco!

I ordered a burrito, it was large and packed full. I did order no beans, but ended up with beans. Burrito was 8"×3", and remained to boot to eat until I was home. They ranged $6-$8.

El Pollo loco a chain restaurant. This place was clean and the staff was attentive. For El Pollo Loco Its the clientele that makes a restaurant 1 star or 5 star. If there are a bunch of dirty kids with ignorant parents around the Salsa bars it progressively eliminates a star. I've been to a few EPL that had a messy salsa bar and dirty little kids trying to fill their salsa cups it's a bacteria factory.

I've been coming to this location for years. The chicken is always fresh and juicy. The only issue that I have is that the cashiers are a bit rude from time to time.

Really good chicken place. The food is excellent. The reason I only gave four stars is because you really need to order wisely or you you hardly get a meal. Stick to the five dollar deals and the tostadas and you do ok. The drinks in the five dollar meals are sip cup size but if you eat inside you get free refills.

When I write a review of anything I have to know for sure what is the factor that makes the difference. We are not just basing it of the taste, the presentation, or the staff that makes it all possible for to enjoy our food. This people were rely dedicated to their work. Work ethics that make it seem all of them are managers at the same time. Everything was unreal to a point that i had to find something. And i decided to visit them on key times when normally mistakes happened. 8 months into my 1st fav the person that set the steps to follow was no longer part of tje team on site. Will not het into details about that but all i can say that the glue that held everything together was gone. Now the good thats cooked the same way on every pollo loco didn't taste good at all. I seen the dedication and also the frustration of having new members can cause. But for the northridge Location. I know that they have also great lead members that can be do more than the best to make it smooth for them and others. The attention, the upkeep of the location having always toppings and extra items that we crave is a plus the Northridge location is by far one of the most busiest Pollo Loco that i have seen. And they are Able to handle it like Champs. The customer they all love that and they will continue to keep it this busy. For that Great job to all the members that makes this possible

Great family PAC 10 piece, great sides rice corn or black beans, kids love the mac and cheese big hit. Wonderful roasted chicken. Quick stop on the way home for an easy dinner. Very tasty!

They always make the chicken well done just the way my family and I like it. I'm giving it a 4 star because this one time I found a dead lady bug in my taco. I was a little traumatized after that, but my family still enjoys it.

This is a good El Pollo Loco location. The staff is friendly and the food comes out pretty quick. There's a salsa bar as well, I recommend their avocado salsa, it's my favorite.

I only bought 4 chicken thighs because I knew we were only going to eat those. Next day reheated chicken becomes very dry. However, I could tell that 2 thighs were reheated or had been sitting there for a while and the other 2 were fresher and juicier.

Fast service with a friendly disposition. A whole chicken, tortillas and numerous containers of their tasty green sauce.... we are hooked on this stuff!

They offer great food for a great price. There chicken is seasoned better than any other restaurant I have eaten chicken at. But, for some reason, certain employees seem to have a hard time understanding an order and make things incorrectly.

Decent food. I ordered the tortilla soup, chips and guacamole. seemed a bit pricey and the food was middle-of-the-road not outstanding but it wasn't bad either so I can slightly recommend this place and if you're hungry I'm sure it'll work just fine for you.

Got the chicken tostada salad. Glad I had a coupon because there wasn't much to it. I understand times are tough. I was disappointed. Tostada shell is different. Thinner, I liked it. Overall, I might come again, with a coupon, won't pay full price.

Staff couldn't help me with problems on my app, they were not helpful at all. The manager on duty didn't understand the problem either. But thankfully he decided to just satisfy me as a customer & make my free 8 piece chicken that came with the family meal.

There was no ice in the fountain drink area at 8:50pm. We had to ask the front counter for ice. Also, you have to ask the front counter for napkins, as there is no napkin dispensers in the dining area. The staff was very helpful though.

Please check the salsas to make sure they're fresh. There's been a couple of times that I get spoiled ones also the coleslaw. Other that it's ok. I brought to the managers attention 2 times but doesn't seem to take any action. They ask me if I wanted a refund or free meal. I didn't take any of them. I just don't want customers to get sick. 🤢.

Good Chicken! Poor Salsa Bar

I went to El Pollo Loco because I was craving Tacos. I ordered the Shrimp Tacos. They aren’t listed under “Our Food” on the menu anymore. They were bland and poorly made, barely had anything in them. They were extremely disappointing. I’m giving a two star review because I know that their other food (Tostado Bowls) are decent (I tried them a while back). I won’t be going back anytime soon in general.

Last 2 time I gave Pollo Loco my business I was disappointed. Well here I go again and at least they are consistent. The new Biria tacos turn out to be more like onion & cilantro taco. You really have to go searching to find the $6.00 string of meat. NOT WORTH IT.

This place is new remodeled and clean most of the time. But lately they making mistakes on drive line or in person counter. On Friday i placed inside to go order for chicken avocado quesadilla with upgraded chicken that i was charge extra, avocado on side. Coming home i discovered no avocado and 0 chicken inside quesadilla :(. How is it possible? Yes its busy place but employees need to slow down and make correct orders!

I ordered a 48 piece catering meal today and one of the jumbo sides I ordered was cole slaw. When I arrived to pick my order up the employee said, “I’m not going to lie, the cole slaw is a little frozen.” It was frozen solid. Imagine a giant slab of frozen cole slaw and that is exactly what we received (two of them, one large side and one jumbo ice brick of cole slaw)… I left two stars because the chicken was dank but get your veggies elsewhere I guess…

I have been here several times and it's always full in there with lots of people no room to sit or stand when you order tour food. They never have any of the sauces in the salsa bar, they usually run out of certain items. The only thing that is good there are the friendly workers. There is also no parking there as well. I do not care much for this location.

This location at 10651 Balboa Blvd is usually great but tonight the wings weren't crispy at all and didn't even taste flame grilled and the mashed potatoes and gravy were lukewarm. The tortillas were also hard on the edges. None of this is what I would expect.

Very expensive for what you get. Very small pieces of chicken and the front desk staff is not friendly and helpful.

Ok, so there's a lot wrong with their service and price inconsistencies, but what takes the cake was the thumb sized cockroach cruising across the floor in the dining area. (See photo) Not coming back here.

I have a few things to say about this paticular establishment. These employees do not pay attention to the orders they have gotten my order wrong 3 times. They either forget one thing or the other. Ive traveled from arleta just to go back to pick up the items. This will be the last time I come here. Im I would rate 0 stars if I was given the option.

Ordered a 12pc meal with Cole slaw, Mashed potatoes & gravy, and tapatio fries. First of all got home and noticed only got 2 little containers of avocado salsa not enough for a family meal. The chicken was really dry not juicy with no flavor and the fries were cold. The Cole slaw tasted like it was about to go bad. It seems like they were giving what they had left before they close. It wasn't the meal I was hoping to feed my family and it was definitely not worth the $34 I spent.

Horrible! I paid 8 dollars for a brc burrito,small ice tea and a churro. The burrito was gross beans were still hard,the rice was actually crunchy and in little globs, it was not edible. The churro was cold, gooey on inside and also not edible. The ice tea was the only thing I finished. Should have thrown the 8 dollars out the window!

If you're running low in time, DO NOT use the drive thru because you'll be stuck 30 min minimum just to reach the window. I've been stuck for 50min(not exaggerating) this place is insanely slow, and people are not too nice or helpful.

The order was wrong. I ordered a chili lime chicken tostada. They gave me a habanero tostada. My nephew said he couldn't eat it because it's so hot. I stopped at the one on way home (on balboa and Chatsworth) and it's too far to take it back! Lesson learned.

Worst el pollo I’ve been to manager audacity is horrible asked for 3 spoons told us we couldn’t and we are taking too much even though we have 3 people, workers and her laughing at us in the back, never coming back.

Couldn't finish my food after biting into some bone or cartilage 3 times. Got a double chicken avocado salad which barley had enough chicken to qualify as a single chicken avocado salad. The bone to actual chicken ratio was surprisingly close to even.

Second time in less than a week that they messed up my order. I try avoiding issues, but this is already an issue itself.

Their advertisement is false regarding their limited tamales. I went there this past Sunday and it was hardly any chicken inside. The TV advertisement appears to have red sweet peppers, cilantro, etc with chicken and very moist. However, it was so dry and hardly any chicken or any of the additional items as advertised; false news! I am very disappointed. I've talked to others and they said the same thing. It never fails when you see these advertisements and go to these place.

I grew up loving El Pollo Loco. Sadly, this location is the pits. Every few years I give it a try in hopes it's gotten better. But the chicken is rubber and the order is never complete when I go through the drive thru. I drove off without my second order of soup and no salsa. There was really no point in going back... Ever.

Worst restaurant to go order food from there is no cashiers the manager doesn’t help you and the food sits there for who knows how long before they give it to you! Not a good experience at all!!

There is no longer a cashier attending customers, you must order through kiosk because corporate is to cheap to pay for a cashier. As we move forward you will notice more of these soulless corporate entities enacting these atrocious in the guise of “convenience”. I for one do not support this and will be the last time I eat here .

I can’t believe this place gets any good reviews. During the past 15 years they’ve been occasionally good but more often bad. The chicken has a tendency to be DRY. But the worst part is the management can’t seem to hire good personnel. They either get the wrong items in our order, charge us for items not ordered or don’t include what we’ve paid for in our order. It happens at least every other visit. I’m amazed they’re still in business. I’ve been there when this problem has occurred with other guests. But, I guess most customers either don’t care or don’t remember their orders.

If you are planning on using their drive thru on a pick up truck, DON'T. It's so narrow that I basically left my 1500s tires behind just to get some really dried chicken. So often they got to fix their drive thru due to almost every large vehicle getting stuck and hitting things with the front bumper and if you don't want to hit anything with your front bumper than you gotta sacrifice your tires to be able to move forward.

Over $100 on delivered food to not receive what I paid for. Manager had the audacity to tell me to order again through door dash which was a 45min wait to receive requested food. staff need to be aware of what they pack in doordash orders, especially when customers are paying for an additional fee for delivery.

Zero customer service. Even one star is more for them. Sometimes I think may be these people work there for free that is why they got that attitude. I was picking up my online order (two tostada salads which come with sauce of your choice) and I see that 2 sauces were missing for both salads. I reminded her that she forgot to put the sauces and she added them with unhappy face, giving me an attitude. I came home and noticed that they did not put fork, napkins either but instead they are always fully ready to show their attitude to customers. I would not recommend this location, it is always bad. Try somewhere else.

Pico de gallo salsa lacked taste because they missed out on adding salt and lemon. The chicken emitted an unpleasant odor. Recently, their food quality has been declining. It was unexpected from this establishment since the employees have been with them for years. I won't be dining at EPL anymore. It used to be good, now it's poor.
