As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Brandon "big mac" who was full of energy and smiles. He brought out our food and we thanked him for such a great service. It's hard to say that everywhere we go these days that there are individuals who are committed to their work. Today, it was an example that there are still people who believe in this same philosophy and walk the walk and talk the talk. Great job, and thank you for a great experience! Merry Christmas 🎄

Ordered 2 pieces of fish with a side and a drink. 18 gizzards and a drink. The fish had no seasoning on it. It was horrible. Did not get a refund or exchange.

Food is always good and hot. I have never had any issues. There is an employee up there, Ally, that deserves some major props!! She is attentive, she is well mannered, she goes above and beyond her duties for the customers. She asked my name for my order and then used it throughout my visit. She had a smile on her face and really made it a pleasant experience. I wish there were more "Ally's" in this day and age!!

Food was good as always but today a young lady named Ally took my order and all that goes with her job. But it seemed she went out of her way to talk with customers and ask if they needed anything after we all were seated including myself. This young person is wonderful and is an asset to Chicken Express. I hope you know how lucky you are to have such a nice employee..thanks, misty

Stopped in today with my family, as we’re visiting family in Dallas. Service was amazing, and we all enjoyed our food. We truly appreciated the service.

Update: Stopped today 12/06, ordered two teas and was there forever. Sat at the window for my teas for over 10 minutes. Mini poppers are my favorite. I will stop just for poppers and tea!

The place was fast and tidy. The staff last night was wonderful. The food was superb. The cashier really cares about the customers. The young group of people really impressed me. I actually ordered my livers at the window. I saw the livers on the menu when we were driving to the window. Everything was fresh and delicious. Everyone deserves a five dollar raise on that shift. Teamwork! Wonderful environment. I recommend everyone to go enjoy dinner or a snack at this location. Thank you for your time. Have a wonderful day.

Quick and unique ordering process!! Food is fresh and Miss Kiera was so kind delivery our food :) will definitely stop by again if we’re in the area!

The food was freshly made, and the tea is always great. There is plenty of parking and everything was clean. They have a drive-through for people who want to use it.

The fried chicken tastes great but they weren't as fast as I expected. The cooks noticed that we were waiting for our orders and stepped in while the front end folks were handling the drive through orders. Hopefully they work out a better flow to deal with lunch rush.

I didn't give them a 5 because we ordered unsweet tea and got sweet they do not have a self serve drink station so we had to send it back. Then when we got our meal we had ordered biscuits and got rolls, which really doesn't matter just why ask if your not going to pay attention to the order? Also at chicken express in commerce, TX they have two manager specials for two thighs a side a roll and a drink for $5. And 4 strips a side and a small drink for $5. This one does not. I'll go to Commerce next time ☺️

The food is always hot and delicious. The staff is always helpful and polite each time I see them. The place is easy to get to from I-30 or anywhere else in town. I will definitely be going back especially for their fried livers and gizzards.

Hit or miss, but mostly hit. We love the family catfish meal...once or twice it wasn't so great and tasted as if it had been sitting a while (hence the 4 stars instead of 5). Their tea and sides are pretty good. It's a little pricey, but usually worth it.

Order came out correct, had to wait 8 minutes for the spicy tenders but had no problem with that. Corn nuggets were fresh & the service was good. Chicken E is usually my go to.

Just went in and ordered over $60 worth of food for our family on my way home to Campbell. Got all the way home & reali,ed U didnt have all my food. Tried to call...tcant call because the google number usn't valid. I am not diving all the way back to Greenville because they foegot my food

Ok. Here goes. You will never know if your food is going to be hot, lukewarm, or cold. When it comes out hot its great. When it comes out Luke not so great. Their food is really good when they bring it to you nice and hot and then I am happy and really enjoy it. Try the corn nuggets they are really super good. The chicken drumsticks are usually very good. I like that you can eat in your car when your time is short.

I've gotten Chicken Livers there many times, they were usually always great. Last couple of times have been unacceptable and disappointing. Chicken Strip dinner was ok

I love giving kids a chance...but someone needs to train Becky to not roll her eyes when I ask for ketchup bc she forgot it after I asked for it the first time. Chicken is fine but save yourself from the fried pickles. They are such a sorry excuse for fried pickles. They arent even completely coated in breading and taste incredibly salty and oily. I'm begging you to heed my advice on this one.

Food is sometimes fresh. They should have employees double check the items before handing them out to the customers. Last time I was here in January they forgot to give me my coleslaw. Went back and told them and they gave it to me. But I shouldn't be wasting my time getting out of the car if I'm using the drive thru. Yesterday same thing happened the line was slow and when I got my order they did not add my extra mashed potatoes. They should have in mind that not everyone lives locally. I live 30 minutes away.

My review comes from multiple experiences here: one the fried pickles from here are never fresh tasting they have zero crunch to them. Also I would like to add that today I purchased two sweet teas totaling $1.99 I hand the girl 2 dollar bills. She says thanks and entered the money to the register and left. Never giving me my change, I understand it’s just a penny but the principle of the matter is, this is never ok.

Service could be better as well as the way they pack your food. Rolls 99% of the time are crammed in the box causing them to be smashed. I have complained multiple times about their sodas being flat tasting only to find nothing being done about it. I used to go there daily for a soda, now I don't go there for anything at all.

My personal oppion is extremely over priced , food isn't even that great tbh, but apparently the rest of the world disagrees . But they do hv REAL FOOD, NOT bunch of fake stuff, that's huge plus for sure . They are always crowded, not a lot of selection.

Chicken is good, but they ALWAYS forget something in our order. Some of the staff are absolutely rude. Always a longgg wait here. Found hair in a roll a few months back, but not recently. They do not take CashApp, which stops us from going here most of the time.

The tea tastes like it's always older than it should be and there's normally a weird after taste from it

Don't give 5 stars that leaves room for improvement. .but love the food great staff ease getting on and off I-30 / well 10-21-24, really disappointed with food bought tonight. The spicey strips were so salty my son couldn't eat them, I couldn't eat them. They were horrible beware if you're ordering the spicey strips. I had regular and mine were fine.

They would get a better rating if the prices were not so high.

We drove 17 miles from Royse City Texas to Greenville Texas two Chicken Express paid $70.95 for take out got home call the grandchildren to eat and we was missing a meal a number one four tenders and Fry's I don't have the receipt right with me right now at the moment in one of the grandchildren's cannot eat because they don't eat anything butt chicken tenders I'm not driving 17 me back tonight I tried to call them as soon as I realized that the meal was missing something no one answered the phone

The chicken was average. The biscuits were hard as a rock and uneatable. Their coleslaw was fantastic. The mash potatoes were cold. I ordered a 12 piece chicken dinner for $40 as I was waiting I noticed an advertisement for a 10 piece dinner for $19.99. $20 for 2 extra pieces of chicken I would have gone for the 10 piece if I had been told about the special.

Chicken was plump and juicy. Didn't care for the Ken's ranch. Corn was a little water logged but still edible. Sweet tea was good and they have the nice crushed ice.

Service at the Greenville chicken express is EXCEEDINGLY slow and at times rude. We had to wait 5 min just to PLACE our order or two simple gallons of tea. We were the only ones in the drive thru and only half a dozen cars in the lot total. The girl made it real obvious she didn't want to help us and was only doing so because she HAD to. This company says they delivery fast friendly service we don't see that in the Greenville location. We love the tea and usually get a couple gallons a week but if they are going to continue to be rude we will stop coming!!

We did drive up, food was hot, fresh and good. Got 2 snack packs, took 23 minutes to get our food. I ordered green beans as my side. Got no fork, pushed button to be told sorry we are out of forks. So asked for a spoon, to end up eating them with my fingers. Get done with the meal just in time for the girl to show up with the spoon. Thanks but no thanks.

Apparently they can never get a order right. Last time I went they didn’t even ask if I wanted a biscuit or roll. Just gave me a roll. Chicken tenders are sub par. This time I understand we went before closing so we had to get tenders instead of actual chicken, and asked for two extra biscuits on top of the ones with the meals. So 4 biscuits total and instead we got 2 1/2 biscuits. But was charged. Prime example of why I hate going here

The staff are really polite and nice to you, even when busy, but they get overwhelmed during lunch rushes. The last 2-3 times I’ve gone I was either given the wrong thing or just flat-out not given parts of my order. Not the staff’s fault, they just seem to need more people.

They will not give you a refill on tea if you go outside and eat. Crazy you can eat at there tables outside and they won’t. I don’t like people so we eat outside. Food was good but that rule sucks.

I ordered the boneless spicy wings at the drive through window. I came to the window and paid. They told me to pull forward and wait in a parking spot. It was a 30 minute wait and took a drink of my drink and it was watered down. I love their wings but debating whether or not it was worth the wait and the watered down drink. Very disappointed.

This location charges more for food than others and tacks on a 3.5% fee for paying with a card. Rolls were overdone, there was a weird chunk of burnt food in my box, fries were soggy and very clearly sat around for a while, and the chicken strips were barely warm when they came out and cold by the time I ate them. It's lunch time too, not an off hour where you'd expect food to have sat around. Took forever to get the food too, they aren't swamped with customers either. Very disappointing and (comparatively) expensive meal. What normally costs $8 at other locations was nearly $12 here.

As much as I love their chicken I absolutely do not recommend the fish. It came out very fast and it was hot and looked fresh however I'm not sure what it was but it was not fish. Could not eat it. Brought it back home and my dog would not eat it. So in the trash it went. The rolls and jalapeños were great. Friendly staff and fast. 8-17-23

So we live 30 minutes out and got home and no gizzards they knew what they did because they said it was the only the18 and I said yes then they said make sure you have the receipt before coming up here let if you would put them in the bag then forgetting them that would be great too

Spent 10 min at drive thru window and was the only person in line, Chicken was room temperature, the fries weren't cooked all the way and the rolls were completely smashed when we opened the boxes.

Ordered 12 livers and when I got home I found the most pathetic box of livers I have ever seen. Yes it was 12 pieces... if you count quarter liver fragments. Judge for yourself. Update: 3 of the "livers" were gizzards. Another restaurant to avoid i guess.

All of my rolls were mashed andy fried weren't even cooked completely... they were limp and soggie. The price for a 7 piece tender meal was darn near 15.00 completely ridiculous.

Out of the past 5 times my family has ordered the chicken strips, only once have they been worth eating the chicken strips and the macaroni & cheese! I am tired of ordering $60 worth of food, for it to be either grease soaked, tough, and not completely cooked! The food here is terrible!

I had ordered a snack pack of fish, that's 1 piece of fish w/side & hushpuppies in the drive through. I had to wait as they served people behind me their food, assumed since I ordered fish they had to cook it & other had probably ordered chicken. The fish & 1 hushpuppies was room temperature, one of the hushpuppies was raw on the inside. It was so bad I threw the whole meal in the trash, Do NOT recommend anything here but the tea,, which is great .

Ordered a family mixed box with a side. Got home to find they didn’t give us our side. Chicken was overcooked and mostly wings. Called and was told we can get our side on our next order. Totally disappointed in food and service.

Really poor customer service tonight. We ordered a family meal and a separate meal. The family meal comes with gravy and the workers forgot to put it in our bag. Apparently we were getting on the window attendant's nerves because she made us wait and when she finally came to see what we wanted she rolled her eyes when we asked for the gravy.

Usually always super great when I come in, except this visit was very chaotic. The lady taking orders, Angela, couldn’t remember what I ordered when I told her the first time, very clearly. After finally ordering, the man bringing food out was calling my number and completely oblivious to the fact I was waving my hand for him to bring me my food. After he took my food back to the kitchen, I went to the counter to tell Angela that was my food, not once, not twice but 5 times because she couldn’t “hear” me. Very disappointed in this visit. They aren’t even very busy. Hope for it to be better next time. Also, chicken was very dry and gravy and mashed potatoes were cold

I've asked 2 different employees nicely if they could turn some heat on because my mother and myself are enemic, and it's very cold outside. The first girl just looked at me like I was stupid, the second girl said yes ma'am but we still feel no heat. It's very hard to enjoy your meal when your freezing. I will never bring my mother or myself back to this particular chicken recipes

Terrible. You can only go through the drive thru. Lobby is still closed for some reason. They only have 4 people working, so once you order your food you have to pull up and hope they don't forget about you just sitting there. Also, giving your order to someone else. It's terrible they should just shut it down.

The young lady that helped me at tge cashier's position was wonderful at her job but there was a little old lady that was told to pull up in the drive thru to wait on her order. 20 minutes later she walked in to find out why. The manager brought her order to her and just shrugged her off and turned around and walked away. Very rude and disrespectful .. This store could use some training in customer service.

Usually love coming here for iced tea, but today it was watered down and tasteless. And they up charge for using a debit card “because of inflation”. Disappointed.

If I could give zero stars I would! First if you don't take a certain card post that near the menu not at the window. Management is terrible. Not only does the General Manager and her husband work together they play favorites. They talk about employees in front of other employees current and previous. If you ask for fresh food, they will drop the food that is already up and act like they cooked it fresh. There are roaches in the back of the store.

Ordered 3 boxes of original chicken strips with fried okra. Got home and got all spicy strips that were bristly and burnt an hard as a rock and Un-edible. Well at least I got okra to look forward too..... nope... got mashed potatoes... Never been here before so decided to try it. Don't think I'd ever try it again.

Good food, but awful customer service. Placed an order through the drive thru and they said, we are waiting on the rolls, pull up and we I'll bring you the food. 20 minutes passed by, no food. I went inside and said where is my food? Showed the receipt and the cashier said, let me check. None of my order was being bagged up, so finally they bag it up and apologize. This has happened twice now. I will be calling the manager tomorrow. They have lost a customer.

Don't go here! Customer service is horrible and manager on duty seems to only care that he has some warm bodies. I ordered 3 different items. I had to go back to counter to get ALL 3. My 3rd trip was from coming back from outside. Insolent worker returned to bag my 3rd item and slide it to me w/o offering any apology. Then as I'm leaving counter another customer whose drinks she delivered to their tables but w/o Straws returned to get his Straws. The worker offered him a genuine "I'm sorry about that." Yet she offered nothing to me! Then when I spoke to the mgr. About her, he offers a BS "we apologize." OWNER, soon your location will be shut down too with this type of customer service.

Went thru drive thru and they told us to wait in the next open stall that our food will be out and waited a few minutes and came inside to ask about our order and they said they already gave the order out so they must have gave the wrong person our order. Now gotta wait another 10 minutes for our order to be made

This location just makes me so sad. I love CE but this location I have tried 4 different times and am constantly disappointed. The chicken tastes sour and is always old. I always ask for well done chicken and fries and have never gotten it. They even wait to bring it out like they're going to trick me? Seems pretty obvious it's the same old sour chicken and gummy fries. They also give you about 25-50% of the amount of gravy every other location gives and it tastes watered down. You probably wouldn't have to pass credit card processing charges onto the customer if you'd focus on putting out good food.

Always long wait. For the price you’re paying they should have faster service. Don’t mind waiting 15-20 min for hot fresh chicken. But more than 30 min is crazy

We went to chicken express march 25,2025 at 10:40 that morning. The food was good and fresh, but the young Lady in the window clearly had a bad attitude. If you dont like you job then you should stay at home.

I think when you order something you should get what you order. Then when you tell them something wrong they should correct it. But when she (the manager supposedly correct it and don’t) comes back to the window with an attitude, don’t say thank you or nothing is bad service. Then when I call back she stays (the manager) on the phone and don’t say nothing and then gives the phone to someone else is bad customer service period!! Chicken Express needs to verify people before hiring them!!

I live 30 minutes away yes service was fast but when I got home the for got half my chicken and the tenders were RAW I mean still had blood I the middle!!!! I have been trying to call them for the past hour with nothing but a busy signal and being hung up on!

Reviewed based being told they do not do any tap to pay. I forgot my wallet and visited multiple places in the area that I was able to pay with phone. Ended up going to zaxbys and they accepted tap to pay just fine.

I go here quite frequently just for their sweet tea and order the gallon size. The last 5 times I've ordered the gal of tea it has been nasty! Already all soured. I went 2 days ago got a gal opened it up at home and it was sour so I took it back up there yesterday, with my receipt, and they supposedly gave me new fresh gal. When I got home and opened it I poured me some tea it was still nasty and sour! Yes, I can definitely make sweet tea at home but have been buying this out of convenience. I will no longer be buying this from them and just make my own lol.

If I could give zero stars I would. We ordered a family meal tonight and when I went to get a piece of chicken for my husband, there was a bug in the chicken! $75 for trash! Drive ve through the pickup window was a long wait, there a person in front received half there order and proceeded to sit for approximately 30 or 40 minutes as I was waiting behind the them the worker was bringing out people's food to them with cars behind me as I sat there waiting to receiving mine then to top it all got home was missing one of my sides.

Ordered the 7 piece tenders mixed, with fries and mashed potatoes, corn nuggets and a tea. The tea, corn nuggets, & fries were HORRIBLE! Fries & corn nuggets tasted like old oil and the tea was just not Texas style it had a funny taste to it and I spit it out. This location is the first one that I’ve been to that sucked! Even the service was horrible! Mgr on duty, she was absolutely RUDE! Go to a different locations

Today was my first and last time eating at Chicken Express. I had two pieces of chicken and a roll for $8! The thigh was cold, dry, and bland. The leg was hot but tasted bland and rotten. Customer service was fine, the roll was good, and the service was fast. It wasn't worth a return trip there, though, not even for a much needed replacement today.

My visit to chicken express in Greenville today today was not successful. Not only did the order taker repeat the order of my large fry to me twice and then the fries were also on the receipt as well…that I drive 12 miles home and I have no fries. So Kentucky fried chicken is across the street so bye-bye Chicken Express, That $52 that I spent there today is now going across the street to Kentucky.

Asked for fresh cooked fish...didnt get it. Asked for my okra to be fried a lil hard...didnt get it. The only thing worth eating was the fries and those werent even fresh. If you dont like your job then let someone else that needs one have it. Ppl work too hard for they money to be given poor quality food.
