We were looking for a place near Queen Margherita's Castle and stumbled upon this enchanting place. Everything was excellent, from appetizers to dessert, a journey through the flavors of the Aosta Valley that warms your heart. The cheek with blueberry sauce and crispy polenta was my favorite. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. A typical place with local cuisine that you'll fall madly in love with. I absolutely recommend it!

I had lunch with my mother at this restaurant overlooking Lake Gover, near the center of Gressoney. The experience was excellent. Starting with the service, which, despite being fully booked, was prompt, with friendly and helpful staff. We both ate very well, choosing classic Valle d'Aosta dishes: cold cuts platters, mocetta, lard, polenta, potato gnocchi with fondue, and baked trout. The dessert was also good, a generous portion of apple pie. The final price was in line with the quality of the food.

Great local food at low prices

The views here are very nice and there's a nice area to walk around as well as have a gelato or a bite to eat/drink. We went during off season so it was quite tranquil.

Preso tagliere misto, crêpe alla valdostana, polenta carbonada, 3 dolci acque quartino rosso e 2 caffè 90euro. Personale molto gentile e ambiente naturale. Da ritornare 😊

Gli smoothies sono molto buoni, freschi e rinfrescanti. La vista sul laghetto ispira pace e serenità, un po’ troppe mosche però per quello nessuno può far niente

This restaurant is located on Lake Gover. Having made a reservation, we were seated immediately. Service was quick. The dishes were simple but not bad. Prices were quite high, but fair for Gressoney.

A truly beautiful and evocative place overlooking the ski slopes and Lake Gover. The place was appropriately crowded, and without a reservation, we were only able to eat outside. It was a bit chilly, but we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The staff was friendly. The food wasn't bad. The cured meats and cheeses were excellent. It's a shame that, even though we paid more for the cheese platter than the one without, there were only two pieces, not even one for each. The fondue was really good, while I didn't particularly enjoy the polenta concia, but it's probably a matter of personal taste because it was very well made. The prices are a bit high, but understandable given the location. We'll definitely be back for a nice stroll!

Food is really tasty and well cooked. They serve traut that has been freshly catch in the lake. Excellent position near pine trees and the clear lake water. ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BILL AND THE CHANGE. They always try to charge more or give the wrong change. This is quite annoying and costs them the 5 stars. Very poor behaviour. I have been at least 5 times and 3 out of 5 they overcharged the bill.

Gressoney è molto carina, idem la passeggiata sul laghetto e la locazion del locale. Purtroppo abbiamo provato il ristorante di ferragosto. Gremito, molta confusione, scarsa organizzazione e poca attenzione al cliente. Personale gentile ma troppo inesperto. Onorevoli le portate. Prezzi, visto l'ambiente rurale e la qualità del servizio, decisamente salati

Salve a tutti! Do 2 stelle,ma forse sono anche troppe:una x il posto(carino)una perché da quando siamo entrati a quando abbiamo ordinato sono passati solo 5 minuti.Abbiamo prenotato(sabato 20 agosto 2022)perché con 2 bimbi di 5 e 7 anni è sempre meglio avere un riferimento ed un orario.Ore 13.05 ci fanno accomodare, arriva subito uno dei tanti camerieri,prende la comanda e dopo 5 minuti abbiamo già l'antipasto servito,niente di che:salumi e formaggi del posto..mi sono meravigliato x la velocità del servizio...non lo avessi mai fatto!!!Dall arrivo dell'antipasto alla fine di esso siamo giunti alle 13.15.dopodiche' il nulla assoluto!le ragazze continuavano a rispondermi che i piatti "stanno arrivando"mi chiedevo se avessero perso la comanda... Solo pane e vino fino alle 14.27,con i bambini ansiosi di ricevere il loro ordine che consisteva semplicemente in 2 primi e 2 secondi: ravioli al sugo d'arrosto,un risotto,una grigliata ed una cotoletta alla valdostana(cmq tutto da menù niente di particolare o fuori carta),attendere la bellezze di 1 ora e 12 minuti x avere un risotto scialbo immerso nell'amido,e non nel prosecco,ravioli asciutti,crudi e da un brutto sapore,grigliata 2 pezzi di carne(non ho capito l'origine)cruda/al sangue,ed un pezzo di salsiccia anch'esso cruda.la migliore portata è stata una semplice cotoletta alla milanese(non valdostana)che ha preso mio figlio ed abbiamo condiviso.totale:90 euro e 50 centesimi.solo per una cotoletta servita dopo quasi un ora e mezza mi sembrano troppi!ok c'era anche un litro d'acqua due lattine di coca ed un litro di barbera da 9€...in conclusione:mai,mai,mai più!!!!sconsiglio vivamente! Unica nota stonata dopo una bellissima giornata passata a Gressonay.p.s.mia figlia dopo aver assaggiato il risotto è scoppiata in lacrime.

Rating: 1/5 ​Unacceptable. There's no other word to describe an experience like this. The start was immediately disconcerting: when we asked for a table, we were met with such rudeness that we felt like we were in the way. The only hope was a kind gentleman who showed us a table, promising that the table would be cleaned immediately. ​Unfortunately, that was just a promise. We sat for twenty minutes in front of the previous customers' mess, with total indifference. The real insult, however, was seeing people who arrived well after us being seated and served instantly, with tables cleaned in a flash, while we were left feeling like ghosts. We tried to get the waitress's attention, but she got no response. ​We left out of desperation. Disorganization can happen, but disrespect for the customer does not.
