Bel locale nella piazza di Gressoney La Trinite'. Grande attenzione al cliente, massimo rispetto delle regole anti Covid-19. Ottima cucina.

Ristorante situato nella piazza principale di Gressoney la Trinité molto accogliente che offre ottimi piatti ben presentati e preparati con ingredienti di qualità provenienti da aziende del territorio. Abbiamo pranzato molto bene in una caldissima giornata di agosto gustando, tra l’altro, una fantastica polenta concia condita con toma di Gressoney e burro di montagna. Il servizio è stato molto gentile e professionale da parte dei carinissimi titolare e da tutto lo staff.

Locale caldo e accogliente, in classico stile montano, curato pur mantenendo un assetto informale. Gestori giovani e piacevolissimi, cibo di qualità ottima, menzione speciale per la presenza di tanti prodotti locali in tutte le preparazioni. Davvero consigliatissimo!

Gentili, educati, giovani e pronti a descrivere i piatti locali in maniera precisa e puntuale. Locale caloroso e accogliente, grande scelta di vini. Nel menù sono presenti anche piatti vegani. Consiglio di provare un po' tutto, tutto ha stile. Si vede che chi sta in cucina non prepara solo da mangiare, ma racconta del luogo con accostamenti raffinati che esaltano il gusto. Ce ne fossero locali così, bravi!

Wonderful restaurant in the centre of Gressoney la Trinité. The tagliere was delicious and complete with all the delicacies of the place, including mocetta and lard from Arnard. The wine list depends on the season, and the staff was super helpful and recommended amazing wine. The landscape and view are spectacular. Highly recommended.

One of the best meals that as a family we have had, an amazing evening. For somewhere so unassuming, in fact we stumbled on it by chance (thanks goodness we did), it delivered beyond any expectations. Having arrived a little early for our table we had cocktails which were amazing and a wonderful precursor to the main event. At our appointed time Paolo took us through to our table, timings important as Paolo gives each table his full attention, and clearly explained the menu and the choice of wines to accompany our choices. The delivery of the information was done in a very non obsequious way, in fact it was fascinating listening to someone so passionate about their trade. The food was divine, octopus, steak tartare, pork belly (cooked for 24 hours), tuna and venison ribs, truly a fiesta of flavours accompanied by wonderful complementary wines suggested by Paolo. If an excuse was ever need to revisit the Gressoney area Castor & Polluce is it, along with some great skiing. Thank you Paolo and team a special evening that will be remembered for a long time to come.

I had a lovely meal here today. The venison was delicious and the fish starter was excellent (the red prawn was the star of the show). Everything that my family had was excellent too (tarteflet and meat/cheese boards were really nice). The waiter/owner was very knowledgeable and gave excellent info for each item including drinks. We were even allowed to move inside when it was cold, despite choosing to sit outside without a reservation! Highly recommend.

Beyond Bounds

The menu has clear information on gluten-free. They even gave me a nice gluten free bread. They also do not do service charges, which was nice. They have the correct teat pot for Japanese tea too. I will go back to try other dishes for sure.

Castore & Polluce è stato il cuore del nostro pranzo a Gressoney: un locale affascinante suddiviso in tre aree (terrazza sulla piazza, lounge bar e sala riservata). Siamo stati a mezzogiorno e l'ora di pranzo (12:00–14:30) è stata gestita alla perfezione, con un menu moderno basato su ingredienti del territorio. La selezione di vini è pazzesca e si può scegliere direttamente dalla cantina guardandosi intorno, oltre che dal menù. Il cibo era curato, gustoso e ben presentato, con accenni creativi sui classici di montagna (polenta concia, fonduta, tartare di carne valdostana). L'ambiente è giovane e raffinato, e l’attenzione al dettaglio—dalla pulizia alla cortesia—ha reso il pranzo ancora più gradevole . Un must se sei in zona: panorama incantevole, cucina di qualità e una cantina da urlo.

Locale molto carino e curato, i prezzi sono altini. Il cibo è buono ma non strabiliante. Cameriere non sapeva nulla dei piatti. Per delle tariffe del genere mi aspetto camerieri preparati

Ottimo bar un po decentrato vicino alla chiesa e al municipio prezzi onesti posto tranquillo

I you love wines and you want a sommelier who is passionate about his selection, be sure to visit Castore. Located on the old town square, it has a very local feel about it. The food is refined, but not cheap. A full italian diner for two, with a good bottle of wine - i recommend any Ottin wine- will set you back around 120 - 150€.

Posizione centrale nel paese. Qualità cibo ottima. In confronto agli altri ristoranti della zona molto più costoso . 1 antipasto diviso per quattro 1 bottiglia di vino e 1 piatto a testa 47€ a testa. Locale molto ben curato , pecccato la musica da disco bar di sottofondo che toglie ogni effetto romantico e conviviale della classica cena. Sommelier a disposizione che nel nostro caso è stato anche troppo esaustivo con 10 min di spiegazione dopo aver detto che non eravamo intenditori , anzi… Se non fosse per la musica e per un prezzo fuori mercato ci tornerei!!

Lovely location with fancy food. Maybe a bit to fancy for families with kids. My child ordered a burger which come as raw and I personally would appreciate some awareness from the waitress. We spent the next few hours, minding the child who vomited all night long. The cost of this dinner was equivalent with our shopping cart for 5 days.

To expensive and service was bad. They make the entrees and the main course at the same time. I wasnt even finished and they already tried to take my plate, just because i said it wasnt empty they didnt take it. After we were finished with our entree our main dishes came immediately after, that is obviously why they took my plate in the first place. Our main dish was also cold because of that. Price of the dishes were outrageous, €30 for 3 small pieces of beef and some greens. €25 for just a standard burger. And everything was cold. We ordered wine for the entree and the main course, but the main course wine didnt came on time, we had to ask the waiter for where our wine was, als they forgot one of the wines.
