Good pizza. Tried pesto. Dough and topping was tasty and perfectly cooked. Ordered 40 minutes in advance on the way to our cabin, it was ready and hot by pick up.
We found Smart Pizza by chance but we felt like we stumbled into pizza heaven with a wonderful and welcoming staff. The pizzas were amazing, especially for a vegetarian and someone lactose intolerant. The salad was crisp with fresh produce and the garlic bread is a delicious buttery treat. Make sure you and your friend get the root beer , or be prepared to share.
Great pizza. Great staff. Suzi recommended 4 large pizzas to feed 19 friends (we had 3 pieces left for breakfast). Everyone agreed all pizzas were yummy! We chose 2 Combos, 1 Veggie and 1 Hawaiian. Just perfect!
Cajun pizza is to die for. And the walls are covered with interesting memorabilia. Fun conversation with the owner. We'll come back for more! .
I don’t normally post reviews but this place is painfully underrated. Favorite spot to grab a cheese or pepperoni pizza. Best traditional pie u will find in the area
Cajun sauce is delicious. Nice dough recipe, not stodgy and great flavor. I will ask for a thin crust next time as it is a lot of food. Toppings tasted fresh and high quality. The staff were nice.
Their fresh dough tastes so good!!!!!!!!!!! This has to be some of the freshest warmest pizza I have ever eaten. Feels like really home cooked pizza! They properly portion out their sauce to topping ratio for maximum tastiness!
Excellent service . cheesecake is also amazing when available.
This was the only place opened on a cold rainy night. We were greeted with friendly, outstanding, and attentive staff. The pizza was so delicious. Thank you Smart Pizza for making a beautiful unforgettable memory for my daughters and I.
Awesome divey pizza joint with rock and roll theme. Super chill and welcoming staff. Album sleeves and posters and funky little trinkets everywhere. Classic rock from 60s 70s 80s on rotation; some obscure deep cuts and prog rock occasionally, which was fun. Pizza was delicious and servings were generous. Small but interesting collection of beers. I had a nice hazy IPA from Racer 5. We visited a second time the next day because we loved the vibe there. Fun place!
The BEST PIZZA ( The Works) was just delivered in a 30-45 min window and it was absolutely delicious. The guy on the phone call was amazing. Very courteous and helpful. I have been a client for YEARS… and had some really good pizza experiences in that pizzeria. But today’s pizza was exceptional delicious.
Just had my 1st pizza and it definitely won't be my last! I can't wait to try other thing they make!🥰
Fantastic slice of pepperoni, the inside is incredible. 60s rock poster adorned the walls with that classic hard rock edge. Definitely puts SF bars to shame with such badass decor that doesnt feel forced, but rather embraced. Ladies behind the counter were super kind and nice. A true gem!
Visited Guerneville for the first time over a long weekend, and I must say I’m so glad this was the first restaurant we stepped into. The vibe is retro, with lots of old pictures that give a peek into history quirky and slightly dark decor that adds to the charm. The pizza was absolutely amazing! I was thrilled to find great vegetarian options, and they really nailed the veggie pizza with mushrooms, artichokes, and a super flavorful sauce. Definitely planning to visit again!
Great local pizza joint. Friendly staff. Pizza was amazing 👏 definitely recommend 👌 also pitcher of the Blonde Ale on tap was perfect pairing 🍻 Cool vibes and retro decor!
These people are always rude to the customers. Tried calling in an order today and the guy on the phone was in a rush and he wanted to make sure we knew. Very toxic over the phone, very impatient. the pizza is almost always scuffed in some way. Whether there are little to no toppings, or the pizza is completely burnt (see pictures) there is always something wrong. Don’t waste your time getting disrespected for a garbage quality pizza

Best pizza I have ever had!! Friendly staff, great location!
We came here twice during our week staying in town. The guys were super friendly and make an epic pizza - that crispy base! We also enjoyed the atmosphere sitting outside the front with a beer while waiting for the pizza to be ready.
Every pizza we have ever gotten here has been delicious. Susie makes an outstanding pizza. I have lived in Guerneville for over 32 years and this pizza parlor has never ever been as good as it is right now. If you wanna outstanding pizza with a lot of toppings and great crust Smart Pizza is a must stop.
A hidden gem in Guerneville, the hot sub was full of meat and toasred to perfection. The 3 meat calzone was HUGE and very tasty. Cute place inside and a nice selection of draft beer.
We arrived late to guernville and I wanted something quick to eat and found smart pizza right near to where we were staying. Ordered a medium meat pizza. The toppings were just right and their crust recipe is so good. I’ll have to admit that I ate the whole pizza myself. My wife dined on the crust which is what she preferred. It’s that good. Give them a try next time you’re in guernville.
First time in Guerneville - won’t be last! Asked a local about take-out options and loved the response: “Smart Pizza for great food and no attitude!” Wasn’t wrong! Went with the “Toby’s Fav” and it was awesome! Garlic shavings, finely ground sausage, and tasty pepperoni with a slightly spicy sauce and thicker crust. Great combo of flavors and portions! Got it to go, and staff was chill while we waited. Atmosphere a mix of local history & rock music shrine! Fun place & great food!

Had the North Shore slightly modified. It was the best pizza I think I’ve ever had.
Great pizza! Nice outdoor seating. The inside could use some work and the staff is usually friendly, but not always. Also they don't have basil, that should be a requirement for an Italian pizza place.
Quirky and fun local pizzeria. Interesting pizza offerings and they were able to easily accommodate one of our party who is lactose intolerant. Lots of cool decorations and a nice outdoor deck. Located right near town center. Good place to stop by if you're in town.

Very friendly owners ! The service was fast and the place was awesome ! Huge and tasteful pizzas🍕. The garlic cheesy bread was good also. Little advise: check the cleanliness of the outside chairs, but it was not a big problem. Bye !

Please do not mistake the outdoor patio options as "pet friendly"- we made the honest mistake of walking past 3 signs that said that pets were not allowed. First time here, last for sure. Blessings.
We got the Zorba, a very tasty veggie pizza. Food was great but it took over an HOUR for us to get our pizza! There was hardly anyone at the restaurant when we arrived so we totally didn’t expect how long of a wait we were in for. The staff was pretty cold and stoic as well, we were trying to be nice and politely ask if they knew how much longer it would be They have one pizza oven that fits 3 pizzas, so I think it’s very easy for this place to get overwhelmed with demand
Pizza crust was burnt. Menu was out of date and they said they don't maintain the menu online--were rude about it. Cute place, nice atmosphere and clean from what I saw but they seemed thrown off by my ordering in person at the restaurant.

I've had decent experiences with eating here in the past, but today was a bit rough for my husband and I. We ordered the Pride of Petaluma pizza for the first time and we were excited to give it a try. The dough was great, but the amount of garlic added overpowered the flavor pallet of the entire dish. They did have a number of takeout orders that were finishing up ahead of ours, so I figured things were just moving quickly behind the counter. We won't let this one-off experience drive our service away. We will ask for light or no garlic next time we order this pizza though.
We pushed up pizza for camping and it was decent, pretty expensive and we had to wait a super long time even though there was very few people there. The special pizza were very sparsely topped, almost like a cheese pizza with a little bit of the toppings.
I had a poor experience today here. The pizza here was ok. My family and I drove up to show our out of town guests around Gurneville because we really love it and hope to move there soon. My 2 year old son was playing with his garbage truck on the deck on the patio out back and left it near the table when he came to sit with us. Moments later, when the server brought out our pizza, they looked at the garbage truck and kicked it across the floor. They could have just stopped in-front of the table or asked us kindly to move the truck. When my Mom ran over to pick the truck up the server made a sarcastic comment as to why they kicked it. I have a bad taste in my mouth and am sad I won't feel like returning for a while- if ever.

Mediocre, over priced pizza, with very skimpy toppings, and some shady practices going on at the cash register. Won’t return, and cannot in good conscience recommend. Their website said my small Hawaiian pizza should’ve been $15.99, plus tax, presumably. I was charged $23. Even.
The woman who answered the phone matched my dark humor so that was the only reason any stars were given. I had said that I attempted to order another Pizza from somewhere else but I had to settle for Smart since its better than nothing. She said- all our pizza is better than nothing! Funny! Spent 75$ and tipped 10. Wanted it delivered but they were unable. 2 large pizza some mild wings and garlic bread. Was told 45 minutes. I get there 1 hr later and they hadn't started it but said I was lucky as it was the last ones they were making for the night. It was 7:21PM that I ordered it. I ended up getting it at 8:50 and there was more pizzas being made and many given out while I waited. The pizza itself had too much cheese so the crust wasn't fully cooked. Not enough sauce to match the cheese. The toppings were very light but the flavor was good. The garlic bread was nothing special. Was hoping for bread sticks or cheese bread sticks but nope. Just cut up garlic bread. The wings were pretty standard. Nothing special. All in all I would say I am not a fan. The options for food in the area is pretty limited so I will likely use again in the future but I will order 2 hours in advance and only order if delivery is an option because waiting outside just makes me irritated- Will update next time I eat here.
They have decent food! Blandish sometimes and you get moldy salads. Like two of the expensive salads I got had moldy lettuce.. I tried to return it but they said they couldn't verify where it came from...
We really should have listened to the reviews. Our pizza took 45 minutes after ordering, and the place was not busy. Both the dough and the toppings were undercooked, and the staff at the counter were rude. I'd avoid this place unless you're desperate. Plenty of other places that seem to be more welcoming and have pride in their food. Edit: I see they have replied 13 months later, telling me that if I don't want raw dough to ask for crispy. I still remember how terrible this pizza was.
difficult to rate this place. the service was top notch, very friendly, not intrusive at all, and the ambiance could not be beat. the view from the back deck was beautiful, green, relaxing and refreshing. we all enjoyed our time here. the problem is the food. a bit too salty for me and the crust was burned. the locals said it used to be better under the previous name. we might give this place another chance someday, but not too soon.

The people who waited on us and cooked were clearly upset. It seemed as if every word or request from us was an inconvenience to them. They weren't friendly with kids and, overall, had a very negative atmosphere.
The pizza wasn't quite as good as it used to be, although it wasn't bad per se. I don't know if there's been a management change or what's going on, but the restaurant itself was filthy. It was literally filthy. The toilet in the men's room was crusted in grossness. My girlfriend said the women's room was not even usable. The tables were all dirty, and the ones that were not dirty were stacked with equipment and other items from the staff. We ate in the back room. We sat there because the whole restaurant was cold, and there was one small space heater in the back. It was also covered in filth. The whole time eating we were surrounded by a cloud of gnats. I don't mean a few. It was a cloud. They were landing on the pizza too. When one of the staff saw us eating at the grocery table, they did clear it for us. The staff was nice. They just weren't keeping the place up. This was pretty disappointing. We've always enjoyed this place in the past, but I don't think we'd risk coming back again.

Only because I can't give a lower rating. One of the worst experiences I've ever had in my life. Ordered a pizza well in advance. Was told a 20 minute pickup time. When I arrived I was greeted by an employee eating and told I have to wait another 20 minutes because the cook was on break and hadn't even started my pizza. WHAT A JOKE. if I was the owner I'd be passed. I actually read articles about trying to Increase business so I make an effort and get that. Unbelievable. Won't go there again. Won't recommended
Trust the other reviews. This place is awful. We were advised prior to ordering to ask for the pizza to be cooked extra crispy. Upon pickup the middle was undercooked and soggy (after a half hour of waiting). We asked for it to be put back in for a few minutes more and the surly owner refused at first and then said “well it’s a bit of a crapshoot anyway”. Stay away. I’ve seen better pizzas cooked from frozen. We threw it away. Terrible waste of food.
Our family went to the location and walked in we were greeted sharply by woman who yelled at my son for standing by the edge of the counter. When then took a moment to order and was told by the woman that we will really like the pizza. We waited outside for 45 mins to get our order (only customers there) the only seating was outside due to covid only restaurant in the area doing that at the time. Tables were dirty and trash in the seating area. We ordered a cheese, Hawaiian, and pesto feta. We ate the cheese and all was good we the ate the Hawaiian and noticed the white sauce was sour. After that we all got sick and were unable to eat the third pizza. It cost us over a hundred dollars to get sick and have a terrible customer service experience. No thanks!
By far the worst service/business ever. Called to order a pizza for delivery while we were staying a night in town on vacation, they were rude asking for my order, and when I tried to give the address they laughed at me and made fun of me, actually making me cry. My husband called back and was laughed at and mocked when he asked to talk to a manager. The manager didnt apologize until my husband suggested that's the least she could do. 100% do not recommend. Shout out Main Street Bistro for 5 star great service, great delivery time, and wonderful pizza!
After a long day of traveling to visit the RRV, we felt like having a pizza. Since my wife has Celiac Disease I called ahead to see if they had any gluten free options. (We live in a tourist town smaller than Guerneville that has 3 pizza places with GF crust.) The guy who answered the phone rudely told me that "...since every square inch of their restaurant was covered in flour..." that, no, they didn't have any GF options. After looking more closely at just a few of their other reviews, I'd suggest they spend less time on comedy, clean up the flour coating on their place and try to actually act like they want customers to come in for decent food rather than insults.
Ordered Pesto pasta for $17.00 no salt, no Parmesan cheese, I had to go to ask for fork too. While they demand a masks, pen putting aside to special basket to be sanitized, they hang me my fork by the side you put inside your mouth with a hand without a hand glove on it.... I mean really???!!! Either be Covid safe or drop the fake act. Pizza was good. But another thing.... as we approached with our service dog (vest on with signs -service dog on it), right away guy ran out telling us we can't go in while right there by front entry is a man with pit bull. Double standards, overpriced food and not basic hygienic rules.... would not recommend, will not come back again. If it wouldn't be for hungry/ cranky kids, we would leave right away.
We ordered a pizza on a Sunday night. We are 1.2 miles away. After an hour I called to asked if it would be here soon? They said it would be here in 10 minutes. 40 minutes later, it arrives. It's cold and the toppings are sparse andnot what we ordered. Do not waste your time and money here.
Toppings just slid right off. The crust was not cooked evenly. The soda was just syrup. I can’t say I’ve had much worse pizza before. Spiderwebs everywhere. Cool location. Cool little gay town.
I wish I could rate it better than I did. The place looked awesome but if only the service matched the energy of the place. They lady in the front had a certain sas to her which made us very uncomfortable. Almost as judging us or didn’t want us there, so we left.
Sat at counter. Only ones in resturant. Waitress was on phone . . Speaker phone. Never got off phone to wait on us!! We left as she said "have a good day". Funny thing . . Bathroom walls have albums on walls. My husband's album was on the wall!! Boy did she miss out!!
I’m giving the service a 10/10 the staff are very friendly, but I can’t say the same about the food. The meat sandwich was horrible. Completely burned and crispy, might be the worst sandwich I’ve ever had. I couldn’t even finish it. Their angel hair pesto pasta was pretty bland too, missing salt etc.
