Had a lovely meal here last night, tucked away at the High Street end of Swan Lane. I enjoyed some amazing dishes, the focaccia Recco style was gorgeous, as was the pesto lasagna and tiramisu, great atmosphere, music and lovely people. . I am very much looking forward to next time and it won’t be long, thank you for a thoroughly lovely dining experience.

Such a great addition to Guildford. Excellent Italian food and run by a fantastic determined couple. Will be coming back!

Me and my friends, loved the place, it’s very cosy and welcoming. ❤️ The tiramisu was absolutely delicious, and we really enjoyed it! Love to go back, and a perfect spot to keep coming back to hang out ☺️

Fantastic food, lovely setting and perfect service. I cannot recommend this place enough to everyone I meet! Went there on a Sunday to celebrate the other half's birthday and will be returning for EVERY subsequent birthday! We both had three courses, all of which were Devine, especially the Amaretto, plum and gelato dessert the birthday girl had... with a candle of course! The service was first class and very attentive. We felt like we could have been in Italy. In fact, the food and whole experience was 10x better than anything we had when we were in Positano last summer! To top it all off, the prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes very generous... in fact, I might head back there right now! Go. You will not be disappointed!

First visit to Cambia Marcia but definitely won’t be our last. The food was delicious and, whenever I visit a new Italian restaurant I always try their tiramisu, and I can say that the tiramisu uncle Max was the best I have had in a very long time. We had the basic wine which was a pleasure too and they are very happy to suggest wine pairings. Service was attentive but not rushed. There are only a few tables so worth booking in advance. However, if you go mid week you may be lucky if you just pop in. So definitely worth a visit if you haven’t been tempted so far.

Cambio Marcia is a fantastic restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we received a very friendly and welcoming greeting. The ambience was wonderful and created a great atmosphere for the evening. The staff were knowledgeable about both the specials and the main menu, and were more than happy to answer any questions. The food from starter to dessert was excellent, with beautifully balanced flavours throughout. An outstanding dining experience overall. We will definitely be returning to Cambio Marcia!

My friend and i stumbled upon Lunch Room, and im so glad we did😍 the pizza focaccia is just *chef’s kiss* delicious especially when heated up and a drizzle of olive oil🙏 my friend got the pesto pasta which was 10/10 i had the lasagna but u fear it needed a bit of salt or more spices in the bachamel and the meat, it would be amazing!🤩 Alex served us and made our afternoon with his kindness and smiles! Also thank you to Alex for giving us free tiramisu which was 11/10 😍 and gave us focaccia to go!! Will def recommend to all my friends

Fantastic place! Extremely good simple Italian cuisine. Everything tasted incredible! The service was exemplary and the wine menu will suit all budgets. We ordered some very good wines which were wonderful and complicated the food perfectly. The venue is small and intimate so get in there now before everyone catches on, I recon this place will be booked out in no time. It’s so good for Guildford to get a superb independent like this, there are not enough. I will be going back as soon as I can. Well worth 5 stars!!!!

First time here, the interior is warm and welcoming as was the staff member who led me to the table. We received excellent service from Josh! The food was delicious, highly recommend then seafood linguine. Will Definitely be back.

We enjoyed a fabulous feast of Northern Italian / Ligurian cuisine this evening. The last time I dined here was many years ago but I’d seen lots of good reviews online recently so we decided to check it out. Service from Serena and all of the team was charming and we enjoyed the food - starters of antipasti platter and burrata were particularly good. For mains we chose the pesto lasagna and the baked truffle tagliolini, both of which were super rich and decadent. It’s definitely a cosy restaurant and did get a little noisy later into the evening but it was a Saturday evening and to be honest, just added to the atmosphere. I’d highly recommend booking a table though to avoid disappointment as it’s clearly very popular. We’d definitely like to come back again and try some more menu items- the focaccia recco looks incredible so we would definitely order this next time. I can also confirm that the tiramisu is as good as it looks! Thanks to the team for a lovely evening and for reigniting my love for a well poured Aperol Spritz! ❤️

A fantastic addition to Guildford’s restaurant scene. The warmest welcome was followed by flawless service. Absolutely delicious food that was clearly freshly made. The focaccia is magical! Extensive wine list too. I hope lots of people notice this hidden gem!

Incredible place which has become my go-to italian restaurant, the service is excellent and the food always 10/10. Lots of options as a vegetarian and the restaurant has a lovely ambience. Personal favourites are the gnocchi and arrabbiata and you have to try the desserts!

What a gem of a restaurant! We stumbled across it by accident looking for somewhere to eat before a gig and didn’t have a reservation. The staff kindly found space for us and we are so glad they did. The service was warm and friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and cosy, and the food was absolutely unbelievable. Truly some of the most delicious dishes we have ever eaten. We will definitely be back and will recommend Cambio Marcia to anyone who will listen!!

Went here for an impromptu lunch and was thoroughly satisfied. The menu was short but carefully curated and delicious - hands down the best Italian restaurant in Guildford. Great wine selection, lovely pasta and VERY good tiramisu. Met the owner and his partner who were absolutely lovely. We will definitely be back again. Too busy eating the food to take any photos. Will do next time.

Top-class restaurant experience. The food was superb. Authentic northern Italian cuisine. We enjoyed everything about our visit. The staff were attentive, polite and knowledgeable. The wine list was very extensive. We would be delighted to eat at Cambio Marcia again.

Had a wonderful evening here with friends last night, we all loved it and will definitely be returning. Wonderful service, lovely buzzy atmosphere, fantastic wine and brilliant food. Absolutely delicious tiramasu!

A very special place which I hope will be kept a secret! Unbelievable focaccia, freshly made and kept us coming back for more. Pasta was perfect, these guys know what they are doing. A simple menu but that pays dividends. Daily specials keep you coming back and they very much deserve it.

We came here after a long day at work. And the evening was fantastic. The restaurant is very well hidden but well worth the search for its entrance. The food, staff, and atmosphere are simply superb. Just look at the photos - it's a fabulous place!

Absolutely excellent food and service at this modern Italian restaurant. Family run, with a very friendly, knowledgeable serving team who were attentive but never pushy. I had slow cooked beef rib with pepper/potato mash - amazing. Wines by the glass very good (Vermentino, then Primitivo). Tiramisu was superb. Modern feel, trendy but light music, definitely not a 'traditional Italian' forced atmosphere. Prices reasonable but not everyday ie 116 quid for 2 people incl tip. Overall, a real find in Guildford and very happy we visited.

Delicious pasta sauce. Prefer steak on a warm plate rather than a board but it was all lovely and it was beautifully presented and not overfacing. Lovely atmosphere with friendly staff.

Cosy atmosphere. Great food. The chef was able to come to our table and help out with the choice. Plenty of vegetarian choices too!! I went for the lasagna al pesto which was awesome.

A hidden gem in Guildford. Superb, authentic Ligurian cuisine, super service and atmosphere, best restaurant in town by far.

What a fantastic restaurant this place continues to shine out in Guildford. Some truly local Genoese dishes, well cooked. A step above your average Italian fare. Check it out.

Lovely food, great service. The staff clearly have great passion for their menu, talked us through what's what, regional specialities etc. The waitress was attentive, regularly topping up our water etc even though it was her first day

Had an incredible meal at Cambio Marcia—this place is a true standout. The slow cooked lamb cannelloni was rich, tender and packed with flavour, and the beef short rib was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive and genuinely welcoming. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

Lovely first visit to this hidden gem in Guildford. The friendly staff accommodated an extra guest with a quick switch of our allocated table and we were whisked to the snug upper floor. Food was fresh and tasty, wine list good and reasonably priced. Service impeccable. We will definitely be back,

Good experience for my first visit. The staff were attentive, the BGM was brilliant (light jazz is one of my favourites), and the food was not too heavy (suited our tastes). The dessert (Tiramusu) was one of the best we'd ever had. Just one thing: if there's a green salad provided as a starter, that would be wonderful. On the whole, this is one of the Italian restaurants which we found very pleasing and is worth a repeat.

The food is very well presented, and the atmosphere is exclusive and attentive. My only issue was with the tap water brought to the table, which tasted bad and needed a filter.

Starter ordered didn't come. In the end it came with dairy after letting know of dairy intolerance. This was not offered to be corrected. Main meal was okay and enjoyed between us. They made good gluten free alternatives.

Do not order the Calamarata Di Pesce.....it is not as advertised stating "seafood pasta of mussels, squid & red prawns in a ragu style ......" for £21. it came in a small dish with penne and sauce with 3 small mussels. Could not find any squid and prawns. Complained to staff and she said the prawns and squid are finely chopped and in the sauce. We could not see even the fine chopped seafood. Should have asked her for a microscope. £21 for this is a joke! Will never come here again. Also very small place with low ceiling and very noisy echoes.

This has got to be one of the worst Italian restaurants I have ever experienced. I am so disappointed as I suggested it to my husband to book because of the star ratings and also they told me they had a gluten free menu, which they don’t! The starter I ordered was disappointing only two tiny bits of bruschetta with no flavour , I don’t know what my husband order but it looked like the consistency of paint skin with a couple of salad leafs. For my main I asked if I could get an amaticiana which I considered to be a true Italian pasta dish which they couldn’t offer, so ended up with something that look like dogfood mince with over cooked ribbon pasta. As a true Italian food lover I would not recommend this restaurant, if you want a true Italian experience. The menu and wine list is very limited with no authenticity of anything Italian.
