I was a regular here for almost five years before the rebrand. There was a period where I used to eat here twice a week for lunch. I primarily ordered on the app and occasionally ordered in person. I don't think much has changed since the new owners took over. The food is affordable and comes out quickly when you order over the app. The quality is pretty consistent and the rewards program is good. There is one thing, however, that has prevented me from being a regular like before. The lack of explicit, easy options (like the old elote style, modern mexican style, etc.) has been a big reason I haven't been back often. I recognize that in rebranding, the new owners likely cannot use the same ingredients and names that Boloco used to. Still, easy options help when I am tired and hungry during my short lunch break and want to order without thinking, whether that be on the app or in person. I don't want to punch in everything on the app or have to remember my order in a line with twenty other hungry people behind me rushing to get their food. When I had gone in after the rebrand, neither the menu nor food containers had labels saying what my choices were, so it also made it hard to tell in a rush what everything was. This was also made more difficult because some options that existed before the rebrand were no longer available. My suggestion is to have a few basic bowls or burrito styles that can be ordered at a glance. It's standard practice at every other place I've been to that serves customizable bowls. Doing this would remove my reason for not returning often.

Doordashed a burrito from here. The original sized is huge, wanted to take a nap afterwards. So many options to add to it. The flavor is bold and right up front. You can instantly tell that it is all fresh and not frozen. Will definitely be ordering again when I get a craving. Highly recommend you check it out.

A good place to grab a quick lunch. It is similar to Chipotle, where you go down the line and add things to a burrito, tacos, or a bowl. If you're in a real hurry, order ahead.

I came in around 4:00 on Thursday and ordered a steak burrito with all the fixins. Everything was super fresh besides the steak and the guac had a slight metallic taste to it. Better stored in plastic pans. The steak was cut a bit too large and was a little cold but everything else was amazing and super fresh. Young lady made my burrito just as I asked. Cashier was polite as well. I loved the free “charred cookie”. It was still yummy. All the hot sauces were perfect as well. Place was very clean. Also, please have cooks wash their hands before putting on gloves. Super important. As a professional chef it’s one of my most important concerns with my team. Some vegetarians or vegans may not want steak hands on their veggie bowl. Just a side note. I have observed this on many occasions.

In the 6 months I've been in hanover thus far, Boloco has been my #1 staple. Great quality, healthy food, good price. I've been going 3-4 times a week for lunch for nearly the entire time I've been up here. Across my near 100 visits, the quality of food and atmosphere have always been consistent. Two thumbs up. However, as I sit here today eating another boloco bowl. I feel obligated to leave a somber 3 star review due to one glaring problem. Unless you're a vegetarian, you absolutely can't order online. Across all my aforementioned visits, 80%+ of the time, there has been 1 particular employee handling the online orders, while waiting for food & friends I have watched this employee make well over 100 orders. I cannot ascribe motivation to him, but for whatever reason, each and every time he decides to give exactly half a serving of protein. With the sheer number of orders I have observed him make, from burritos, to quesdillas, to bowls and more, I can say with certainty it is not a problem of inconsistency. For whatever reason, this employee has decided that it is his job to short people on their orders, and he does it with unwavering determination. TLDR: Order in person and you'll have a great time.

Lately, they just have not been able to keep up to-go, delivery, pick-up orders to the point that things are delayed 15-60 minutes. But it’s yummy if you can deal with the service! The staff and management are nice!

I am incredibly disappointed with both my most recent experience at Boloco as well as the lack of service and communication since. I was not originally going to post a negative review, but I am quite disheartened to see a restaurant I once loved decline so much in quality. About a week ago, I placed an order ahead for pickup. I had a busy evening, so I wanted to pick up something quick, easy, and reliable from Boloco. Normally, I am quite satisfied by the food I receive from Boloco. The food is fresh, delicious, and made quickly. However, when I ordered ahead last week, my food was not prepared at the time of pickup. It looked busy, so I decided to wait a bit before asking a staff member. After waiting for 20 minutes (for an order I placed ahead of time), I decided to ask the staff if they were working on my order and when it would be ready. I was told that they were preparing it and that it would be ready soon. I ended up waiting another 40 minutes before they even started working on my order. I was literally standing in Boloco waiting for food I intended to pick up for AN HOUR. The staff workers were aware that I ordered ahead and made awkward eye contact with me for the whole time I was waiting. I was super uncomfortable and unhappy. I am also quite upset by the fact that people who were ordering in person were receiving their food much faster than me. I am not sure why the long line of people were in and out much faster than me, but I was incredibly annoyed by the fact that I ordered ahead for fast food and then ended up waiting longer than anyone. Because they didn't start my order until almost the end of the night, they were out of many of the toppings I had ordered for my burrito, so I did not even get to eat the food I wanted. The rice was undercooked; the meat was cold; half the toppings I ordered were missing. The bowl I ordered did not have cheese or lettuce on it. After waiting inside for a literal hour, I was incredibly upset to be eating mediocre food. After my incredibly subpar experience, I reached out to customer service through the website. I explained that the food and service I received were not the quality I was used to from Boloco, and instead I was ignored. I have not heard anything back and I am incredibly dismayed by the lack of service and support both that night and since. As someone who once loved and depended on Boloco for quick and delicious food, i am incredibly, incredibly disappointed.

Really sad because this was a staple for me to the point where I was in here almost everyday (if not multiple times a day), but the service and quality has gone severely downhill. They are somehow always out of lettuce despite advertising salads as one of their main menu options, the portions have gotten smaller and smaller (I paid $9.25 for that bowl (it was ~half a scoop of chicken)), and overall this place really just isn’t what it used to be :(

Food is good, service is awful. I went here with friends and all 4 of us had the exact same experience: awful and uncommunicative staff members who give you tiny portions. When you ask for them to give you a proper sized portion of what you pay extra for (ie queso or guacamole or meat) they say: "you will have to pay extra for that." You explain they gave you the smallest portion (mind you we know the base line because we come here most days out of necessity, not choice) and they just repeat the same line. Really awful experience. Wish Hanover had more food options and we could bring our business elsewhere.

Short manager is rude. Dude needs to take a chill pill. Not sure why he was rushing me when there was literally no one in the store. Even the coworkers noticed as he walked away from me while I was asking him for more sauce. I've been coming here for 4 years and never experienced anything like that. Also his portions were ridiculously small. Let me know when he works so I know NOT to come in. I'm assuming he was the manager since his actions made his coworkers visibly uncomfortable!

Absolutely unbelievable! Order was placed a day prior for a lunch meeting to be delivered at 11:45AM. 12:15PM comes around and no food. Try calling - answering machine picks up saying they're having issues with their phones. So - I run down there to see what's going on. They say they never got the order - completely rude and yelling at ME! I have a receipt here for $126. Lunch meeting completely ruined. Never again, Boloco!

I had a good experience the first time, so I went back today. I ordered the elite street corn bowl with half chicken and half tofu. I was initially pleased that they offered a half-and-half option, but I later discovered I was charged for an additional protein. Even more disappointing, they didn’t include the cotija cheese, chips, and elote sauce that’s supposed to be included.
