Tried this new place downtown Harlingen. It had a very nice atmosphere. Has an upscale feel with good prices. We just had appetizers but they were really good. Tried the crispy carnitas and shrimp cocktail. Both were really delicious. Have to go back and try the entrees.

Came here for the first time today for brunch. Our waitress told us they have been open for about a month. This is exactly the spot Harlingen needs! The inside was clean, modern and well-decorated. The staff was friendly and kind. The food came out promptly and was well seasoned. I got the asada y huevos, and although the steak was a little tough for my taste, it was still pleasently enjoyable. The star of the shows was the churros! It was hot, fresh and not too sweet. I will definitly come back!

The restaurant is decorated beautifully, great food, the prices are reasonable, and the service is superb! I got to meet the owner who is so kind and attentive. God bless this business! Stop by and support ❤️

Where do I begin… we had our wedding reception at Provecho y Salud this Saturday and I couldn’t be happier with EVERYTHING!! John and his team went above and beyond to make our special day even more special. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, the venue was beautiful and the team brought my dreams to life! 10/10 host your event here!! You will not regret it!! Still going through all the photos but I can’t say it enough, it was perfect!’

As full time RV’ers, we travel all over. We have been in South Texas for 3 weeks now. All the Mexican food has been pretty ‘hit and miss’. The food here has HONESTLY been the BEST! We come from New Mexico and expected GREAT Mexican food here in Harlingen, but couldn’t find it … until TODAY!!! WOW, and our Server, Pedro, SUPER nice and brought the food while it was still HOT!!! DO NOT MISS Provecho Y Salud!!! No regrets eating here!!!

Today was my third time to eat here for lunch. I had their cheese enchiladas both times before and they were excellent, in fact I was going to order them again until the waiter walked by with fajitas for the table next me. I ended up ordering a combo (beef and chicken) fajita plate, which at the waiter's suggestion was the lunch special (every Wednesday). The complimentary chips and salsa are delicious! My food was served very quickly and there was so much food that I had to confirm that it was the lunch special. The beef and chicken fajitas were served over sautéed onions and peppers with a grilled Jalepeno. The 2nd plate had nice servings of Spanish rice, charro beans, guacamole and pico degillo. This was the best lunch special I have eaten in Harlingen and this will be my new Wednesday lunch spot!

Walked in an was greeted by the bartender and waitstaff. Which nowadays is unusual in restaurants. Alyssa had Great Customer Service and the food was Delicious. It was Perfect. Atmosphere was so Smooth that I forgot we were in Downtown Harlingen. Will definitely be back. Again Great Customer Service!!!! The Bartender knows how to mix drinks.

Simply awesome. Service was delightful and the host was very kind while seating us. While they had the brunch menu for us, they said they might be willing to work outside the menu depending on what the request was. I went with the chilaquiles and they were fantastic. The salsa was smooth with a little kick and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The eggs and potatoes were just right. Give it a shot if you're in the area.

It's one of our favorite places in Harlingen. Really impressive food, drinks, and atmosphere. Fajitas were amazing, nice thick slices cooked as ordered. The Enchiladas had a great Tex-Mex flavor with a dark chilli sauce. We also loved the salmon with chimichurri sause, chips and roasty salsa, and ceviche. We like to mix up our restaurant visits, usually never visiting the same place in the same week, but we came to Provecho twice within a couple of days.

The food was some of the best Mexican food I have had in years! The detail of the dishes could be tasted with every bite! The drinks were delicious and the restaurant decor was fabulous! We will definitely be back!

9•13•24 had a nice lunch. Food is good. The only thing they do need improvement is on the tortillas corn or flour always no taste, overheated in micro that takes the flavor out. They are never moist. But the food is good. So they bring my food and it is a nice presentation and taste delish except the tortillas and they only serve 2 had to ask for more anyways don't do what I did I knew it was hot plate but I touched it by moving the plate without watching where I put my finger thinking I placed it on the wood instead placed it on the skillet and yup burned my finger it was my fault but, the gentleman was nice and put burn ointment on finger aside I put ice. Lol, anyways food is good. Give it a try, guys. 1st time here found recommendations on social media and to my surprise was very good. Ambient is great food was good, and customer service that I got from my waitress Alejandra was great always on top of her game. Very attentive gives good tips on what is good. I ordered the chicken wing fajita. Those were very good it's to be chicken wrapped in bacon, cheese, and jalapeno it could use a bit more cheese, but it still was good. My husband ordered the veracruz enchiladas that were very interesting, very different yet tasty. It is a bit pricey as they have said but the food is very good. Like I said, it is different than most expensive high-end restaurants. Kinda something you would find in San Antonio, per se. But I would recommend to friends.it is fairly new they just opened on Mothers day so I gave it a shot. I was not up to par with my dress code, but I still went it isn't fancy, yet it is cozy. You have to find out for yourselves all I can say for my 1st time my experience was great. Thank you, Provecho Y Salud.

Heard so much about Provecho y Salud that we decided to try it out. Ordered the Veracruz Enchiladas which were just barely warm. Mentioned to the waitress who said she would remind the cooks. But the taste was excellent as were the beans and rice. The night we were there, a band from Houston was playing. The chips and dips appetizer were also excellent. Wine selection was very good, wife found what she wanted. The sauce is something different from other restaurants. Overall, we enjoyed and would go back.

I had the distinct pleasure of dinning at this amazing downtown Harlingen restaurant with my family last night and it was really great all around !!!! The atmosphere is so relaxing, the food is delicious/healthy, and the people here are genuinely great people that deserve the opportunity to share with your family an amazing food experience in pure class and style!!! If you’re in the mood for delicious food in a relaxing environment, give this awesome restaurant a try!!! I met the owner last night and he was so genuinely nice and made sure my family completely enjoyed our downtown Harlingen dining experience!!!! Try it, you will not regret it!!!! Owner brings a unique dining experience right here to Harlingen, Texas!!!

We absolutely love this place! The food is delicious, and they frequently have great specials. The portions are generous, and I often find myself taking some home. The restaurant has numerous windows allowing natural light to come in. The service is excellent, and the tables are spaced out to ensure privacy.

As a self-proclaimed foodie, I was surprised I only just found out about this place! My sister and I dropped by at opening for Sunday brunch. After our disappointing meal at Jolie Petit in Brownsville and Laurel Park Bistro no longer offering Sunday brunch, Provecho y Salud was the place to try. Though limited, the menu speaks to the possibilities of the deliciousness to come! At our wonderful server's recommendation, I had the crab cakes Benedict - thank you, Francis! My sister had the migas. The crab cakes were surprisingly delicious and seasoned perfectly! The migas were not at all overcooked and the egg was creamy and the tortillas crispy! The breakfast potatoes needed a bit of salt but were tasty and the side of fruit was fresh! The pièce de résistance, however, we're the churros and chocoflan! I am addicted to the churros sold at the Mercedes outlets - if you know, you know! These churros were crunchy and covered in a layer of sugar with a side of melted chocolate. The chocoflan was not overly sweet or overly wet :p The restaurant is beautiful and it's obvious how much thought was put into the decor and layout of the restaurant! I see a very bright future for Provecho y Salud. They have the potential to become an insta-worthy location if they promote it on social media and add a photo wall! The price was $53 for the 2 entrees, 2 coffees, and 2 desserts, so not expensive for good food. I do wish the sides were a bit more substantial but the entrees were hardy. The coffee was very decent but perhaps they will offer more than just brewed coffee in the future like iced Americanos, mochas, cappuccinos, etc... For comparisons sake, I currently rank Provecho behind Laurel Park with Jolie Petit 3rd food wise. In ambiance and decor, Jolie is 1st and Provecho 2nd. I wish Provecho much success and many more happy customers!

This place has a lot going for it — the atmosphere is great, and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by the food. I truly believe this place would be packed if the food matched the quality of everything else. The crab cake appetizer was underwhelming, lacking the flavor and texture I was hoping for. The shrimp in the tacos were cooked well, but they were heavily over-seasoned, which overpowered the dish. I genuinely want this place to succeed — Harlingen needs a spot like this. With improvements to the food, it could easily become a local favorite.

I was very happy with my first visit to Provecho Y Salud! First, the service was top notch, and I love the upscale interior. I had the Mahi-Mahi w the roasted red bell pepper sauce. It was bursting with flavor. It was so good that I seriously considered coming back for dinner. I didn't but I will be back soon, and often! Update: I've been back, and the service is suffering. I had to get up to get a tea refill because the staff were too busy b.s.ing.

Fire your chef. the food was served cold . the crab cakes had a strong fishy taste and smell. I was not a big fan. chicken and waffles were just as bad. the chicken was served cold and was rubbery.. The location and the atmosphere was nice the waitress tried her best but at the end our experience was not a good ones.

We should have never gone back after my hamburger came with a raw interior. I lost my appetite seeing that. Unfortunately, we went back for lunch later. Wish I hadn't eaten those tacos, it was unpleasant. You can figure that out.

Two Bartenders added drinks to my tab and refused to remove them even manager refused to remove after explaining to them I only had two drinks and my wife had three yet they overcharged me and refused to remove drink they are all thieves working together I don’t know how they expect to have customers return after treating them like this check my review history I only post when needed. I will never return to this establishment and will not recommend it to anyone. All this after taking forever to bring drinks and forgetting about drinks then being overcharged for drinks

Been there for lunch and dinner on two different occasions, for lunch I ordered fajita tacos, meat was cold and plate was unappealing. Dinner was the combo plate of fajita, chicken, shrimp again staff acknowledged that I didn’t want raw onions or tomatoes on my plate so they gave me extra onions and tomatoes, the meat was room temperature and very salty that left my tongue feeling numb. When I advised the staff they removed the plate and presented a bill… it’s clear they don’t care about the customers just the bottom line.
