The food here is top quality. We had the taster menu and we were very impressed with the amount of food and quality of the food. Would highly recommend!

My god the food here is amazing, i cannot praise it high enough. The location, surroundings, atmosphere and staff are fantastic. I had the Thai Green Curry, and it was superb, probably the best i have ever tried. Highly recommended. The Fried rice super. I could go on and on about how good the food is. You must try it is superb. Enjoy

The express menu is a delight. Wonderful service and atmosphere. As someone who has been lucky enough to spend a lot of time in Asia since 2019 this scratched the itch. The pork belly and sea bass were outstanding.

Paid a second visit to the Orchid this past weekend, after being over a year since our previous visit. and were pleasantly delighted. Romantic atmosphere, good, attentive service and the food was fresh, interesting and delicious. We will be returning much sooner next time.

We have never had a bad meal here. The lunchtime taster menu was delicious today, with excellent service too. I made the restaurant aware it was our sons birthday. He got a piece of chocolate cake with a candle which was great. I can't recommend enough.

Very fresh and tasty food. I celebrated my 21st and numerous other birthdays here. More recently, ate here right after getting married. Literally been visiting for decades and it remains constant!

Very nice place, the service was friendly, speedy and accurate. The food was absolutely delicious , we enjoyed every bite. Reasonable prices, worth every penny.

Went here with the fam, was a bloody splendid experience. The food was brilliant and the service was stellar. Whenever we need serviettes, cutlery, or a bottle’o water, it was there jiffy quick. The weather was sunny innit and overall an absolutely stunning experience. Cheerio!

Delicious food and very accommodating when I asked to add king prawns to the pad Thai. We absolutely loved our meal and the staff were very friendly.

A fantastic Thai restaurant in Harrogate. Couldn't fault anything. Food was served promptly, and all the dishes, including the specials we ordered, were excellent. The service was also great. Pre advised about my wife's birthday, which was acknowledged with a small cake. If in town visit.

The food was amazing. The crispy belly pork starter was stunning, also tried a passionfruit cocktail which was refreshing to have alongside the meal.

We had a fantastic meal at the weekend, in a large group. We had a set menu and despite serving 13 people at once, the quality of food and service were outstanding. The Sui Yuk belly pork starter is a firm favourite of mine, along with the current special, a Hong Kong dish called 3 cup duck (which I hope makes it onto the main menu). The Asahi beer was cold, crisp and went perfectly with the meal. However it was a lovely change to also try warm Sake, that came as a recommendation from the owner. If you’re looking for a first class pan-Asian restaurant in Harrogate, The Orchid is a must.

We had a table booked in the private Buddha Room for 13 and the whole evening was fantastic from start to finish. We chose the set menu, but the team were more than happy to swap and change dishes to suit what we wanted, which was really appreciated. The food was absolutely amazing, the staff were attentive without being overbearing, and a special mention to the General Manager, Ryan who genuinely went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect for us. It was just a great evening all round, as always. Highly recommend.

Great menu and attentive friendly staff, lovely meal all round.

The food is delicious! I highly recommend the salt and pepper squid, king prawns tempura and especially the weeping tiger (sirloin grilled with Thai spicy sauce). You must try guys! The staff are lovely and accommodating!

Excellent service and food was superb. I had crispy prawns and the accompanying sauce was delicious. For main course I had red curry with duck which again was very tasty. I enjoyed a Singapore sling and thought the restaurant offered excellent value for money. It is a great find of a place and I would return when i next visit Harrogate

We had an excellent food and service experienced for my pre birthday celebration. We used the private dining area. The food is delicious and the staff were incredible. Food price is not that bad and we enjoyed it! and the location is great u can just walk to town if you wanna see more of harrogate bars,shops and more..😀

We came here last night for a birthday celebration in the private room. It was amazing! The room was lovely, the food was the best Asian food I have ever had and the service was incredible. We got both of the set menus between 9 of us and we were so full we couldn't finish it! Thank you to our amazing waiter (we didn't get your name but you made the night perfect for us!!)

We had a lovely unexpected trip to this fabulous restaurant, the service was exceptional from the moment we walked in to a very busy Saturday evening without a reservation. The recommendations of the food were spot on & the food was delicious. We had a cocktail & a negroni & again brilliant & very well presented. The service was polite, efficient & very friendly & proactive, we will definitely come back next time we are in Harrogate

We had vouchers for here as A present. We have been before so knew we had to book. Well. It was just wonderful. The food served hot and in good time as you get the table for 2 hours. The staff were friendly and polite. Not a cheap eat but beautiful food. A must visit place. Steve B.😀.

Came out of my way to give this place a review. We came on Tuesday for my mums birthday. The service was superb and just enough, the food was some of the best Asian food I've had in a long time, the Thai red duck curry was amazing, full of flavour. We couldn't fault any of the food and enjoyed our night! Thankyou again and I will 110% be back very soon!

Fabulous food, service and value for money when we dined at the Orchid for my wife's birthday. They very discreetly made it a special occasion for us and we had a lovely time. Meal was first class as always and the service spot on. We dined at 5.00 as it suited our plans for the evening so it was a little quiet, but even so the atmosphere and ambience of the place still makes you feel very comfortable. We will be back whenever we can.

We visited to celebrate our orchid wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. It was a Sunday evening but the restaurant was bustling and the atmosphere was jolly. We ate far too much and thoroughly enjoyed it all. I can recommend the crispy sea bass! The service was highly attentive and personable.

Great service and tasty food. The wait staff were really attentive and took orders quickly. The food arrived promptly and tasted fantastic. The only loss of a star was when I ordered a cafetière coffee there must have been too much ground coffee in there as I couldn’t press the plunger down and it sprayed out onto my arm. Luckily there was not too much of a burn from it. Other than that I highly recommend a meal here.

Very busy Thai restaurant with a wide variety of dishes from Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand. Slightly disappointed with my crispy prawn starter as I hadn’t expected it to be in batter. A bit ordinary tasting in my opinion. DH’s starter on the other hand was amazing and very tasty. Both mains were good. Shared one noodles between us and that was plenty. Generous portions on the mains.

Great food, atmosphere and friendly staff. The only downside was a hidden service charge (tip) added to the bill that made it awkward to take off. This isn't America and we shouldn't be forced to subsidise staff wages. Other than that, the food was interesting, delicious and well presented if a little expensive but worth it. The cocktails were okay but lacked a little bit of taste profile, perhaps needing mixers added in.

Best chicken satay ever. Best masaman curry sauce ever. The lamb was dry but otherwise great dish. Loved it.

We got a 2 beers and a glass of wine and then 15-20 minutes later we were still waiting on the cocktails with no idea when they were coming. We eventually got our cocktails but then they tried to charge us service charge at the end. There was also a man who was very touchy. Placing his hand on our back and shoulder and it was really weird. Also the woman who took our drinks orders couldnt understand English properly and walked away when we asked to order food so we had to ask someone if we could order food. Also ordered prawn crackers that was said to come out whilst waiting for the starters but they came out after the starters and we sent them back. They still tried to charge us for this. It is very expensive. Worth it for the food but not worth it when you include the service and. I get its busy but if you cant handle bringing out simple prawn crackers maybe further training on extra staff would help. Other than that the food was delicious and the restaurant was nice and really pretty. The table was lovely and the whole vibe was great Shame about the service cause the food was incredible

Was expecting something good from all the positive reviews and recommendations. The food was below average and the ambience did not exist. No one did anything wrong, it was just the most average asian meal I've had in years. We'd heard good recommendations from people who had been a couple years back, so I wonder whether the restaurant is living off their previous reputation. There are much better asian restaurants in Harrogate that have taken over it and I'd spend my money at.
