A & A Sushi House

This is a belated review but we enjoyed our dinner in this Japanese Restaurant last year. Attached are the photos of some of our food. It's not the best Japanese restaurant I've been to but fairly decent and the price was reasonable. My husband liked his food even if he was not fond of Japanese dishes. Now, I can convince him more to try other Japanese restaurants because of his experience here. They were also nice enough to give me a free dessert when they learned it was my birthday!

Ended up here last night randomly, the other sushi restaurant we were supposed to go to was closed. Rerouted 3 minutes away and arrived at A&A Sushi. Absolutely impressed! We walked in, not only was it beautiful and smelled amazing but the service (for a sushi place) was very good. We were seated promptly, we both ordered the Sweetheart roll and it was out of this world! Would definitely recommend and will be going there again for sure.

Very nice establishment they have here. -promptly seated came during lunch -prices very reasonable considering -complementary green tea and they are very attentive to refilling which is nice -as to quality of sushi, it was very good for the amount of money spent. -I ended up getting pick 3 rolls(spicy tuna/spicy salmon/shrimp tempura) & you have a choice of (miso soup/salad) -$14 not bad for lunch -the plates in the other photo were about $16-18 To note: The lunch menu is considerably reasonable in pricing

We got the sushi for two as take out tonight. The fish and the rolls were really good. The nigiri had garnish on a lot of the pieces which we really liked. We will definitely be ordering the same thing again.

Fair price for some of the best quality sushi & sashimi I've ever had. Fast friendly take-out service!! The Naruto roll is a must-have!! Soooo good! 👍👍

Really great sushi. The wait staff are super attentive and friendly as well! The salmon tastes so fresh, not pictured is salmon nigiri and it was delicious. Their takeout is just as good, would recommend.

This is the best sushi place on long Island! I've been coming here for over 6 years and always have a great experience. I cannot recommend it enough.

Lovely place! We've been there twice, before and after the pandemic. Our first impression was not challenged by the second visit: special rolls are still a great joy to try: very fresh taste and flavour combinations, fresh fish. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended for Japanese/Asian food!

My wife and I order out sushi all the time. We used to order from somewhere else and were disappointed when that place made their sushi smaller. We found out several places actually started charging more and providing less. A friend recommended A&A and we haven’t looked back. The sushi is fantastic quality and taste and they never skimp on ingredients. For larger orders they have a menu of pre-selected items that is very convenient and cost effective. Definitely worth every penny. I can’t say enough good things. Look no further for sushi. Ps-they have out free sake and $15 gift certificates with orders of $100 or more during the Dec holidays, which was a nice touch.

We actually started out our night to go to another sushi place near by which was over crowded and had an hour wait. So my wife looked up sushi restaurants near by and we found this gem. Well the place is beautiful inside and out they sat us immediately the atmosphere was cozy and had a warm feel to it yet nicely decorated for the holiday season. The server was prompt and came right over and brought us drinks she was pleasant and informative. The food was great, delicious and fresh . My son Who is just acquiring a taste for sushi loved it. My wife (who prefers her food cooked LoL) got the Hibachi filet Mignon which she also loved. My sushi plater was fantastic complimented by the hot sake. All around a very nice experience definitely looking forward to going again

Best sushi, service and drinks on LI. Gone every week since opened. Had almost everything on menu and more always the best. Travel 20 minute and pass numerous sushi place which I have tried. A&A worth the drive

A&A is THE place to go for sushi on LI. Fish is always fresh and their rolls are very creative and delicious. Fantastic roll ex ends its name with shrimp tempura freshly made for it and the crispy rice roll is a delicious original. The team here is top notch and makes you feel like a regular even if you show up once in a while.

A&A never disappoints. We had a six o'clock reservation for me and my family. The atmosphere was so pleasant, food was so good, we are going back this weekend. Service was quick and extremely friendly. Thus place was full; but were treated like we were the only ones there.

We’ve never had a mediocre order from them. Everything is always fresh and delicious. I even messed up my delivery address and they were kind enough to drive it back. Good people and great food

I have been coming to A&A since 2017, and every time has always been amazing! Joyce always recognizes and greets my family and I no matter how long it has been since our last visit and makes the entire experience so wonderful. Even when we order for takeout she always makes sure we are taken care of! The food is perfect and delicious as always, and the atmosphere is so inviting. Thank you Joyce for always putting a smile on our faces ❤️

We dined there last night for my birthday and the food was actually very very good. The waitress was super nice and gave us a complementary dessert and even threw a little gift card at the end. We will definitely be returning. sushi was delicious.

The sushi is amazing! Always very fresh and delicious. The salmon sushi with black cream of truffle on top was out of this world! The service is very friendly and professional.

Hands down the best sushi restaurant on the island. My family has been looking for a sushi restaurant forever that we are obsessed with, and this is definitely the one. Everything always tastes so fresh and delicious. Staff is also very friendly and will fulfill your requests!

Excellent experience here! Both of our sushi rolls were outstanding. The rice was super fresh, the salmon was soft and the tuna was perfectly fatty as it should be. The ratio of rice to fish was very good. Service was polite and to the point, not under attentive or overbearing. Prices are fair too. Recommended!

I've worked in the food industry for over 25 years. I have never have the quality of food that I ate last night. I've been to NOBO. This was so much better. I am referring everyone I know there. Absolutely fantastic. Keep up the amazing work guys.

I was meeting some former coworkers & we picked this place because it was sort of equal distance between our residences. What a great find! The sushi was amazing as was the service & the ambiance! I will be going back again the next time we meet!

The specials were delicious but someone in our party got sick he had the eal and seaweed salad idk. I enjoyed the sushi

The wait alone is a reason to give this place 0 stars. 6:45 reservation, and at 8pm still NO food. Not one time did we get asked if we wanted a refill or if there was anything else we could want while we waited. The wait staff, sat us and said 1 word … “drink?” I understand you’re busy and I understand there will be a wait but to wait over 1 hour for any type of food is atrocious. Don’t even get me started on the parking lot! Dangerous, and not a spot to park! Very disappointing.

I just finished my meal, and their food was outstanding. The service was even better until I walked into the men’s room, and I seen one of the gentleman who make the sushi walk out without washing his hands as I left I eyeballed him and showed him in a washing manner what I did. When I left there are no signs in the men’s room informing employees to clean hands back to my table, drank some water paid my bill and left. It was pretty disgusting If you go, he was just skinny gentleman black hat with glasses if he would’ve had a name tag on, I would’ve posted it.

I ordered here for pick up, and I showed up at the time told and I still ended up waiting almost an hour to get my 2 rolls and kani salad. I can understand busy but this was extremely unorganized. Multiple different people asking me which order I’m picking up for, when I already told multiple other ppl And yet my order is not ready for an hour when I called it in. I also paid when I arrived so when I FINALLY get my order, I am ready to leave. As I leave I’m being chased out by some lady yelling about how I need to pay (which I already did) and she is ripping the bag out of my hand wasting even more of my time bringing me back in to check, all for nothing. The worst part about the experience though was that when I get back home to eat my Kani salad after a few bites I see a tiny white spider I almost threw up. I’ve never been so disgusted. I will never ever come back here and I don’t think anyone’s else should either. I recommend Kotobuki, it’s in the same area and way better anyway!!!

My mom and I went and it wasn't open, even though Google Maps said it was. They weren't friendly, so I don't recommend this place.
