Came for lunch and had a pleasurable experience. The male host made us feel welcomed from the minute we walked in. Our server, Kristin was exceptional! She was very attentive and extremely kind. They are very kid friendly as well. We had our 1 year old and every time they passed by, they would be playful with her! Our food came out soo fast and was delicious. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 😊 Thank you!!

My wife and I have eaten dinner a few times at the diner and have always been pleased. Selections are plentiful, portions are large, staff always pleases Management walks around checking on customers satisfaction. From hamburgers to fish dishes to chicken dishes always taste good. Desserts also tasty.

Godsend. Top-notch homemade cheesecake & oatmeal. Kind of an '80s vibe. Very clean restrooms. Very personable server & hostess. When a drunken customer got surly & loud with them, they handled her with class & consideration for other customers, making sure they paid for her meal & she left the establishment. They were never rude to her, even when she hurled insults at them & tried to drag us into her fight. For the record, our food was great.

My friends and I have been coming to Hauppauge Palace Diner since we were in grade school but our most recent visit was probably our best one yet. Our server Marcella was so kind and provided excellent service, she is awesome. The food is and has always been excellent and their newly renovated interior is awesome. Excellent food with a low carb menu. Wait staff terriffic. I had the special stuffed scallops over linguini and it was cooked to perfection! Scallops were tender and linguini not too al dente nor limp. You get scallops on stuffed clams, a seafood lovers delight. Great deal! Enough food for me to take home for another meal! As good as any great seafood restaurant! Couldnt be happier.

Absolutely amazing food here! We had a Chicken Caesar wrap with a Creamy cheesecake , wow wow wow. Best cheesecake I have had in my life ! Absolutely impressed with the service, Vincent was our server and he was very informative about the menu. He constantly checked up on us and overall 10/10 service. This place has instantly taken my #1 spot as a diner. I'm from NYC but I'm a student here at SBU and this has been my go-to breakfast spot for years. It's by far the best diner I've been including NYC diners. Why? It's CLEAN. The place, utensils, cups, plates are literally spotless and well maintained. I've been to so many diners where the place is filthy. The place has actually been recently renovated too! The tables are marblesque and the booths are all fixed up too. What's a diner without some good food?! The omelets are top notch and are damn delicious. In regards to pricing, the menu is very fairly priced and your tab won't drain your wallet either. Last but not least, the staff are all wonderful and treat you like family 🤗💕

This was my husband and I first time coming to this dinner with our daughter and I wanted to give my thanks to the staff for making us very comfortable and helpful with the menu choices. The other customers were also very nice and friendly to my daughter. I beleave he was the manager who game my daughter a free cookie before we walked out. Amazing people food and atmosphere. Best diner ever! Been going to this diner literally for generations. The food does not disappoint from breakfast to late night, burgers, full dinners and holidays. Ample parking, recently remodeled. My girlfriend and I were in town on business for three days. We ate here every single day. Not only is the food absolutely phenomenal, and the portions bordering on ridiculous, but the service is also exquisite. Friendly, attentive, and unapologetically local. We have diners in Texas, but nothing like this. If I lived here, I would weigh 600 pounds. No joke. The pancakes are scratch made, and the potatoes are cooked with peppers and onions. The bacon is crispy and plentiful. GO HERE.

The vestibule contains a vending machine selling toys. Unmistakable neon lighting outside against chrome façade in the classic style. The Suffolk County Libertarian Party convenes here regularly.

Exactly what you want in a Long Island Diner. Lots of chrome, 100 page glossy menu, breakfast all day, pastrami sandwiches, French dip, chicken fingers, cheesecake, pie. Amazing.

The best in the area. Everyone is friendly and focused on service. Family owners are great to talk with. Breakfast lunch and dinner; consistent quality, portion size and good pricing. This Diner is always amazing. I have probably been here 50+ times and the food is always delicious, tasty and fresh. Their wait staff is so friendly and accommodating of large groups and children. The food is always served quickly and super hot so you KNOW they just made it fresh. The entire staff is just so lovely. Truly an amazing restaurant.

I am in awe of this "diner" restaurant. This is a high quality Italian restaurant with the small diner appeal. I ordered the Italian Platter with the house salad. The dish was cooked perfectly with the vegetables cooked to El dente. Their apple pie (I should not have ordered because I already ate to much) was the perfect compliment to an already great meal. This is a very great place to come by yourself or bring the whole family for a great meal and great service. Very extensive menu pretty much anything and everything you could ever want or expect from a diner plus some. They have alcohol as well so if you'd like a drink with your breakfast or dinner. Very good coffee as well. Outside it looks like an old diner of the type you don't see anymore inside the same way very nice and very clean and it shows I've actually never seen a restaurant of this type such a clean atmosphere look up at the ceiling in this place and I promise you will never see a place this clean. The ownership is great and the employees are great. Not a bad place to eat at all highly recommended if you're in the area or live here and never ate here please go and check it out.

Even with the Happauge Diner packed, we were immediately seated and a server came within minutes. Food was amazing, service was outstanding! They even offered complimentary “chicken wings” which was off the charts! Highly recommend this diner!

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. Had the tuna sandwich on whole wheat toast. The tuna is absolutely delicious. Best tuna on the island. Hands down! Had their fries too and they were cooked perfectly and well done. Just how I like them. Went there a week later and had the grilled cheese and fries with mozzarella cheese. It was cooked perfectly once again!! I live in Bohemia but it’s worth the trip. Can’t wait to go back!

I had a wonderful experience at Hauppauge Palace Diner with my family! We came in as a party of eight, with people arriving at different times, and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. They welcomed the first two of us right away and seated us comfortably, then seamlessly integrated the rest of our group when they arrived 20-30 minutes later. No hassle, no attitude—just warm, genuine hospitality. The food was excellent. I highly recommend the beef goulash, which was absolutely delicious, and the French toast bites were a hit at our table as well. You can tell this is a family-owned establishment that truly cares about their customers. The service was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. Ok. I am a breakfast person and don't have many if any diners in Florida where I live so when I get a chance I visit all I can when in different places. Well I had corned beef hash and eggs and was pleasantly surprised to see it was freshly made and not like a canned version. My wife had eggs and sausage. I looked at the sausage and said that it looks like the ones we got at the one and only diner near us at home, which we swear by. Well, I was right!! They are the same sausage that we have at home. Trust me they are fantastic. I have tried every where to find them but nope! I actually buy 2/3 orders to take home some I can have them anytime I want. Needless to say I went back here every morning for breakfast and even brought my sister in law and even she said these are the same. Everything we had, yes we ate other food besides the sausage was delicious. We all highly recommend!!!

We were greeted and seated with loads of smiles . Coffee right away , hot and fresh. ( You know diner coffee) The food came out quickly , and was still smoking from the heat . We had Banana nut Pancakes , Chicken Souvlaki and Onion rings , everything was delicious . The staff constantly came over to see if we needed anything or how the meal was . That was very nice . To top it off , there weren't 2 different totals on the bill . Cash or credit same price . Such a pleasant experience . Can't wait to come back.

Excellent diner, family owned for decades. Clean, cool decor, fast, friendly service, delicious food! Everything you want (but don't always get!) in a diner. We went twice, during a recent visit to LI and were so happy to find a real diner, run by a family who knows how to do it well! First visit hubby had the Philly Cheese Steak. He is not really a steak guy but he could not stop raving about how tender and flavorful the steak was! He absolutely LOVED it. I had my standard bacon and eggs (even though it was 9pm!) and it was cooked really well and large amount of eggs! Must be big chickens lol. Our second visit was for breakfast and we both ordered the Challah French Toast with bacon. Yum, yum, yum! Thick slices of Challah bread, seasoned with a touch of cinnamon. Mmm good! Service both times were super fast, they never made us feel like we were being rushed out of the place, and the food was just great. When we were leaving we both used the restrooms and both the men's and women's were immaculate! Super clean, inside and out, great staff who seemed like they were all family, great food. Perfect! I really wish we had a diner like this anywhere near where we live!!!

We went on a Saturday at 1 o’clock and had a party of 8. We were able to get a table right away. The waitress we had was excellent. The menu was huge and had so many options. I got the Buffalo chicken panini which was very good. My daughter got the chicken fingers which she liked and my son got a chefs wrap which he also liked. I came in for breakfast on a Saturday morning and ordered Eggs Benedict with avocado and had the the hash browns instead of home fries. The dish was very good. The Benedict sauce was very tasty. Next time, however, I'll order the home fries. The hash browns were of the rectangular formed variety that you can find in the frozen section of a grocery store.

A diner you would regularly go to and enjoy an old favorite or a new meal. Fair pricing, prompt and friendly service, and clean! We had a nice group lunch, all our regular diner favorites, omelet, Greek salad and a burger....it’s all good. Oh yeah, and some nice layer cake with a hot coffee!

The food was ok. I just didn’t like the fried potatoes. They were definitely old, meaning they weren’t sliced and cooked the same day. Just refried; and I didn’t know they were so thin. Thicker potatoes would hold up much better in a fryer with better results.

The best diner on LI. The food is good the service excellent. The owners are terrific.The reason for the 4 stars is during the holidays they raise the dinner specials. They seem to forget their regular customers kept them open during covid, while many food places went under. That's like biting the hand that feeds you. Seriously Hauppauge Diner..maybe reconsider. Also one other thing has changed there recently..the noise level. They have raised the volume of their music, which means people have to talk louder to hear eachother. Maybe tone it down. Otherwise, I highly recommend this diner.

The service was quick sitting me and my girlfriend down, less than a minute. The server David was super friendly and explained the chief special to us as it was our first time here. We were given a free salad, soup and wings! Me and girlfriend both ordered the chicken soup and it was delicious despite the thicker consistency compared to broth it was still delicious. Unfortunately the salad wasn’t as good, the wings that appeared afterwards were delicious, flavorful and easily falls off the bone. Once our meal arrived I couldn’t help but enjoy the sight of my pork cutlets with gravy, my only complaint would be the portion size of the sides that it comes with. I had ordered mash potatoes and broccoli, they were only a small one handful. Regardless of the portion size for the sides they were still delicious. This place is a wonderful stop to grab a bite to eat, I will definitely come back here again.

We were given water and our server arrived with complimentary wings and a bread basket, The wings were not typical wings. They were roasted in vegetables, like a chicken fricasee. Delicious and tender. My husband ordered a full dinner, the chicken/steak/shrimp Teriyaki with a Greek Salad and chicken tortilla soup. It was a happy surprise to be served a nice sized dressing. The chicken tortilla soup was delicious, served with tortilla chips. Also had chunks of avocado, a nice, rare detail. The Teriyaki combination was amazing. The meats were tender and the shrimp perfectly cooked, but the Teriyaki flavor awesome! I had the Lo-Carb Grilled chicken queso. There was a nice char flavor on the chicken breast. I chose the cauliflower mash which was delicious!! Our server was pleasant, along with all support staff we came in contact with. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. We will definitely be back.

Overall, the diner is pretty good. with the waiters, there is a language barrier not too bad but still. I was paying by credit card and press no tip and the wheel looked at me and said what really no tip but that was leaving a cash tip on the table… very very crazy situation. Show him, and either the manager or the owner came at me about a tip. Meanwhile, they know I left the tip on the table in cash already…

Go every Sunday for years. Never issue till this morning. Older woman owner refused senior discount been receiving for years.

Very disappointed in the food we ordered. We ordered a chicken ceasar wrap, a grilled cheese with bacon, and an iced coffee. The iced coffee was insanely watery and not appetizing. The ceasar wrap wasn't tightly wrapped at all so it was difficult to eat. The container that held the fries for the grilled cheese had some sort of mold or dust on it. We were truly astonished the cooks saw the container and still put food inside it.

Make sure to double check what they are charging you because they will definitely over charge you and then act very defiant about it… I ordered an egg and cheese sandwich from them last week and they said it was $12… And I even double checked with them in the moment… I asked them “ $12 for an egg and cheese on a roll”? They confirmed… however, I still had my suspicions and I called a few days later to double check the price and it was 8.50!!! … They overcharged me by three dollars!!! … And when I asked them about why they overcharged me They treated me like I was trying to scam THEM out of three dollars 😂😂😂 no thx u can keep your overpriced crappy food with your lousy attitude Edit: I just had an AMAZING egg and cheese sandwich at Mundays in Huntington! It was delicious. The employees where very NICE and totally PROFESSIONAL… I was in and out in 5 mins … and whats best? I only paid 6.50! About half of what SOME OTHER PLACES charge 😉 Edit #2 : I decided to try them again … why I don’t know… 🤷🏼‍♂️.. and this time I double checked the menu … and I was right ! 7.95$ … you would think that maybe they would check the prices At least after somebody complains a few times about the same issue… But no Of course, not… They tried To charge me $12 again and I said no thanks

I picked up food and a soda. The cover of the soda was not on all the way and spilled in my brand new car!!!! Now on to the next issue….I ordered garlic bread with mozzarella and they gave it to me burnt. Now onto the 3rd issue. I also ordered fries which were also burnt. Plus the Mac & cheese was dry. NOT HAPPY!!!! 😡

Stopped here for an early breakfast with my boyfriend. While taking our order, the waitress physically turned her back to me and only spoke to him. I think context matters in this situation so I am going to mention that I'm black and he's white. Very uncomfortable situation overall and telling of the sort of clientele they don't want. Message received. We definitely won't be returning.

This place is officially off my list. From the minute I sat down, I was met with nothing but disrespect. Not one server came to our table the host was the only person who even bothered to acknowledge us, and they weren’t even our server. Instead of providing service, staff stood around pointing at us like we didn’t belong there. If serving us was such an inconvenience, you should’ve just said so. The color of my skin does not make me less than anyone else, and it certainly doesn’t mean I won’t tip.
