Really delicious food. Great with gluten free or vegetation options. Even had gluten free onion rings and pizza! Staff were really friendly and the dogs were welcomed in the pub. They also have a small walled patio out the back under shelter which was perfect to sit outside but away from the road out the front. Would recommend.

Just attended Burns Night. The food was exquisite. A modern take on the traditional meal. So delicious. This year made even better by the wonderful group of gentleman playing and singing their Scottish ballards/songs. Definitely should be there every year. They also addressed the haggis. Fantastic night, definitely to be repeated

Hired your function room for My Dads Wake. It was absolutely perfect for the occasion. I received so many compliments on the memorial table and the picture display you set up for us with the items I supplied. Buffet sandwiches & fries were lovely, very tasty with a great amount of filling & sauces supplied,easily catered 30 people. Everything was exactly as I had hoped. It made the day even more meaningful. Thank you again for everything.

Food is very good and tasty and good size portions. We are definitely going back there. Staff friendly and polite. Highly recommend this pub/ restaurant

A really nice place for a decent Sunday roast. A great selection of meats and vegetables quality produce. Cooked well and nice on the eye. Portion are great. You will stuffed and satisfied. You can upgrade for some roast extras like pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese and extra roasts and gravy so it's worth it. You can have a trio of meats too if you like them all. We had chicken, beef and gammon and it was spot on. It was really busy but the staff were coping well. It's a big old pub lovely 🍻

A stunning, local pub situated on the border of Havant. The menu never fails to impress with its fresh, locally brewed ales, stone baked pizzas and classic desserts.

Roast Gammon, Beef and the Trio. Very big portions. Staff were friendly and food was prompt.

Just had lunch with my wife and Granddaughter/niece...what a refreshing change to receive excellent service with quality food and in this day n age value for money...hot food good size portions served by attentive staff..strongly recommended and will definitely be returning.

Came in last wednesday Food was absolutely amazing, I ordered the calamari and the teriyaki chicken for lunch and it was perfect. The staff were on the ball and the pub was a very clean and friendly environment.

Absolutely blown away with the service and hospitality of the staff at this venue! They accommodated last minute booking for our family of 16 with 3 dogs so smoothly and the service and food quality was impeccable. Thank you so much for an amazing meal!

Only stopped for a drink , there was a funeral reception going on but even so the place was bright and everyone seemed happy. I didn't eat so can't comment on food but the menu did look good.

We came in last minute with 16 of us. They were so accommodating. They made room for us and the staff were so lovely! We had such a lovely meal, food was great. Would definitely recommend!

Had breakfast and the big guy, Father Christmas made an appearance! The kids loved it! He was a brilliant Santa, I actually believed 🤣. The kids were thrilled with the presents, not your usual gift but a really thought about gift! So unexpected but very much appreciated. Food and service was amazing. Same time next year guys!!! Thank you for making our breakfast so special.

I had the best time at this pub recently! The food was simply outstanding—delicious and top-quality. My son and I loved the warm atmosphere, and the team was super attentive, checking in on us and even offering dessert. I can't wait to come back for more festive celebrations because this place never disappoints! If you're looking for a great spot with fantastic food, this is it!

Good menu, very nice food, nice cosy interior. But it was the staff who made it 5 star for me, they were genuinely so friendly and attentive. Loved it! Thank you. (It was dog-friendly too and she was also well looked after!)

Just had the most fabulous festive meal with friends at The Wheelwright’s Arms. We all pre-booked and then tucked in to a delicious 3 course meal. All our allergy requirements were carefully monitored and the staff were polite, attentive and just wonderful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Huge thanks to the chef for delivering such delicious food and apparently flying solo too. We will definitely be back. Merry Christmas to everyone at The Wheelright’s Arms

Visited the Wheelwright arms today for the first time in years. We had a late lunch. Our meals were cooked to perfection. The creamy mushrooms starter and soup of the day was delicious, as was my steak. The pub had a welcome and cosy atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back!

We hired out the back space for our son's 18th. Just a gathering of family and a few friends. The space was perfect for what we needed and the buffet food provided was delicious 😋 we all had such a good night. Thank you to all the staff for making that possible.

This place has alot of character to offer with alot more room inside than oroginally thought. Service was outstanding with the two ladies today.. if your ordering the roasts, expect a large amount of meat and little veg.

Top quality food with a decent drinks selection. Would recommend to a friend.

This pub was incredibly amenable to putting on the Ashes cricket as its doors opened at 11am. What more can you ask. Green fish finger ciabatta with fancy fries and salad for just about a tenner. I’m heading back to Manchester a happy punter. Congratulations to has the server on her recent marriage this weekend.

Food was good, can be slightly iffy with allergen requests but the staff were good and replaced it

Post Xmas family meal for 5. A bit of a wait for food but it was tasty and well presented. Younger people loved the menu. Oldies liked that you could get smaller portions and helpful advice on my dietary need as I am coeliac. Friendly staff but not that many around when pub got busy. Would def go again.

Good food, calamari was perhaps a tad overcooked but not bad enough to send back. The menu seems to be new with lots of Mediterranean options. Service was good but a bit slow.

The service is always friendly and the food is generally good, but I feel like there is no consistency with the pub's overall management and it seems to change a lot. Food quality and presentation varies. The roast sirloin looked great but, despite its colour, was tough in places. Definitely not enough gravy overall and particularly for the size of the Yorkshire, and potatoes were quite dry. My brother's pork belly was so dry he struggled to cut through. Sticky toffee pudding was lovely! Still, it's one of the only decent pubs in Havant that serve food and allow dogs.

I visited the wheelrights today December 21st for drinks, the staff were run off their feet, upstairs there are people working online, I get it that their manning 28 pubs but there’s no reason why a few of them could have helped in the bar / restaurant area collecting glasses etc..This definitely needs to be addressed .

First things first, we did not get a very warm greeting. Service right off the bat was slow, took 30 minutes to get our order taken, and at least another 20 minutes to have them come - however, one drink was delayed, and didn’t come until after our starters! Starters came promptly after, yet we then had to wait another 45 minutes for our main courses. Yet one meal was not correct, and was not rectified until the rest of us got our dessert (which we did not order with the rest of our food & drinks). Our dessert ended up arriving before any of us had finished our main courses. Resulted in a very long and stressful evening - the next booked table arrived before we were finished. They had booked for 7:45 yet all of our main courses were not delivered until 7:30. Food was lovely and the atmosphere was nice - yet I would not recommend. Save yourself the time, money and stress and go somewhere else.

Went New Year’s Eve! Service was shocking Food came out extremely slowly, lukewarm Had to ask for our included Prosecco as not offered when arriving, pudding came out 10.15pm!! staff need training asked for glass of orange & lemonade got two separate glasses!! Asked for a double Rum & coke got two separate single drinks! Really?? This place used to be great but service gone down hill. Over £100 spent as NYE but they can’t cope. Shame, won’t be returning anytime soon. Pointless giving excuses as Pubs know how NYE goes! Everyone said same & lots complaining. Get a grip Wheelwright Arms.

Food was not too bad, but the staff were so rude we left in an awful mood. Got given the wrong drink and when asked for the correct one was given awful attitude and made to feel like I was stupid, chefs loudly swearing in the kitchen, bar staff indifferent at best and downright disrespectful on occassions. The only nice one was the one waiting our table and unfortunately we were left waiting 30 minutes for the bill and had to eventually go to the bar to get it after it was clear they had forgotten. Went to wetherspoons last week and genuinely had 10x better service in the 2 second interaction with the staff, will never be going back here

We arrived today with a relatively large and hungry group of mixed adults and children - 6 adults and 6 children. One of whom was my 92 year old Grandfather. The manager had first made it quite apparent she wasn't happy to accommodate us to the point that I had asked her if she'd rather we left. There was a function room that the team were clearing to seat us. We ordered the children food to a bar table but delayed ordering the adults food whilst the room was prepared. This is an important element for this review. As we waited for the children's food, we weren't ever approached about the function room a table to seat us all nor when it would be appropriate to order the adults food. Whilst still waiting for the children's food, we proceeded to order at the bar for the adults food to then be told at 7:49 that the restaurant are not taking any further orders. Pardon. Yes, you heard me. Please bear in mind, the kids food was yet to arrive. We were not communicated to ever again about the function room nor the time the kitchen closes. The manager knew we were all there to eat. As I say, it was a very unwelcoming experience. Poor service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. It was very clear the manager did not want to serve a large table. I would never recommend not visit again. I am disappointed with the service and experience. I would avoid at all costs if you're looking for a warming, family friendly bar that can accommodate groups larger than 4. Unbelievable. Shocking. Poor. Updating in response to the manager's reply. There were 12 guests who were planning on eating at your restaurant. Not sure where you got 17 from. We were told by a kinder member of staff that the function room was initially being prepared to seat us which is why we proceeded to order food at the bar for the children. We were never told that in fact, the preparation for this room had stopped and that we weren't going to be able to order food or be seated. Perhaps this is a pub for mind readers?

Christmas Day dinner. Possibly the worst service I’ve ever had at any pub. Table booked for 2 o’clock and our mains eventually arrived at 4:30. Didn’t even stay for desserts and a table opposite us had their desserts boxed up to take Home because they’ve been there so long as well. The restaurant was crowded, cold and obviously they put profits before professionalism. Will never visit this terrible pub again!!!!!
