I was craving Mediterranean food and always drove by these place and figured I’d finally try it today. They had huge advertisements of their bowl and the cashier also recommended it to me. I ordered the steak Mediterranean bowl and the cashier also recommended their Greek sour cherry drink. Total was $20 and change. Food came out fairly quickly and when I arrived home and looked at it, the presentation was amazing. The taste matched the look! Everything was tasty, a bit heavy on the Kale but great! Will definitely be coming back.
My first time visiting this Hayward location and it didn't disappoint. I love eating at Nick after a great gym session and its super convenient, being just right next to the mall. Service here was great, the food came out very quick and the restaurant overall was very clean (also plenty of parking behind the restaurant). I had the Chicken Souvlaki plate and it was excellent. The side salad was very good and not completely smothered in onion like other locations. I also tried the chocolate froyo and it was a great dessert. I'm surprised how large it was; I kinda wish they made a smaller version.
Great place! Well-coordinated team, very fast service, friendly staff. Very tasty Pita, I ordered Beefteki Pita. Our water polo team was full and happy. Clean and friendly place.
I had an awesome Gyro Bowl today and they had it ready exactly on time. Delicious fresh salad, generous portion of meats, rice and salad. The dressing was fantastic. Great service as well.

Very good service, super friendly staff, and GREAT FOOD.
Just wanted to leave a shout out to Andy for his excellent customer service. I came with family sunday evening and we were greeted pleasantly and the service was above and byond
Delicious, affordable, and timely in preparing. Unfortunately, they didn't give me any utensils for my takeout order! Double-check before leaving! I got Nick's Fries with pork belly gyro. It's thin slices of pork sliced from the rotating drum, not chunks. There's plenty of fries and a good mix of toppings. They do go HEAVY with the garlic! Use caution and do not eat before going back to work!! ;)

Very clean and all the dishes have lots of flavor. The salad bowl and pitta has everything

Pretty good spot for nice food. I would say it is a bit expensive however the falafel wrap is pretty good.

Food was good, but the protein portion was really small. Thought I would get more steak. Also, my Dr. Pepper tasted funny and my friend said his Pepsi tasted funny too. Other than that, the environment was cozy and the people were nice.

The food is typically good. Doesn’t take long for your order but it sucks when you leave the establishment and get comfortable to eat on your lunch break and there is a long piece of hair embedded in your food. Not on TOP, but within your food. Yes, they made me a new one but couldn’t help but cringe when you realize they aren’t wearing hair nets and they have long wet hair. 🤦🏾♀️

The food was really good. My only problem is there was too much sauce. It felt I taste mare of the balsamic vinegar instead of the food.
Hella good food. But gets expensive. Location is dope.

My family and I have always enjoyed this place, especially nick's fries and their froyo, but my recent visit was disappointing. We ordered a combo of nick's fries plus a froyo, the froyo was served only on the one side of the cup, leaving the other side completely empty. The portion was much smaller than expected (half portion), and the presentation didn’t match the usual quality. It's not the firts time that has happened. The staff is always friendly, and I have no complaints about service. But the portions made me feel not satisfied. We will not come back again.
Bought the new Mediterranean steak bowl. I was expecting a decent amount of steak in the bowl but it's literally just a salad with 5 pieces and charge you $20. This place used to be decent. If I wanted a salad I would've bought a salad at safeway for $6.
I placed an order for takeout and ordered extra meat on my daughter’s gyro. The cashier checked the order before I left and said there was extra meat on it. When I got home and gave my daughter her food. She said it did not have extra meat on it, this has happened before. They also left off my side order fries. The people that work there have 0 customer service skills. The person that answered told me that he was standing there when I checked the double meat. I explained to him that the cashier opened it and showed me and said it was double meat as I had no idea what double meat should look like. The beefteki gyro was excellent!! The pita bread that comes with the chicken souvlaki plates were hard. Inedible. The fact that the person that answered the phone seemed like he wanted to debate with me was enough for me to never visit this location again.
Skimpy! Something is up with this location. The pita sandwich they gave me was almost half the size it normally is. I’ve eaten at a lot of different locations for these guys and it’s not cheap but it’s good and it’s a good size. I told the guy that I’ve never seen the wrap be so small before and he didn’t really have anything to say about it. Guess he’s just an employee but I’m not going back to this one ever again. Maybe it’s a one off but the meal is $20 so I’m not really good with them skimping on the ingredients. If it happens at another location then I won’t be hitting up any of em from then on.
This evening, I was searching for a quick bite to eat during my lengthy drive. I stopped at Nick the Greek in Hayward on Hesperian Boulevard and ordered the Beef and Lamb Gyro Pita, turning it into a combo with Nick's Fries. Upon entering, the place seemed like it was winding down for the night. My fries arrived first, but they appeared underwhelming—clearly undercooked and extremely limp. When I took a bite, they weren't even mildly warm. The pita, however, was a pleasant surprise; it was steaming hot and tasted freshly prepared. Having worked in restaurants myself, I know fries ought to be served crisp and hot every time. Fortunately, the staff member was friendly, which salvaged the experience somewhat. All in all, I wouldn't return just for the fries.

Atmosphere: When I entered the place, I was amazed, very bright place with a lot of people in line, three girls preparing food!I entered the place by the side by mistake!😅 When I entered the real place instead, only one guy was there eating, I thought to myself, "If somebody's eating must be good." The guy turned out to be the cashier. The place was empty at 8:50 pm, not a good sign. Food: I had a lamb gyro with greek fries and Dr. Pepper. The drink was not the original drink but a low-key copy of it, not really carbonated. The fries were really nice at the sight, but they were old and greasy, and the smell was really, really bad, like the stench of an old oil stain on a carpet. The gyro was unpredictable, really really nice to see but, here we go again, the bad smell of old fries.I took just a bite, and the taste was like the smell, a sour hit at the mouth, that was the moment that I realized that I had to follow my nose, but the hunger was stronger, and I paid the price for a couple of hours with the stomach upset and a bad smell with every burp. And then we get to the service: I got back to the place, and the same guy was there, alone in the emptiness of the place. I told me that I didn't like the food because it smelled bad. The funny part was when he smelled it and he yanked his head away, then he looked at me and said "this smell like....food". I don't blame him. He spends many hours working there. Maybe he's used to the smell, and he also did the company best interest, saving some money. He didn't offer me a replacement or even just a substitution, so I wanted my money back, but he said "I just prepared the food for you the food is fresh.I will not give you the money back" I understand that maybe at 8:30 pm there's no more customers and the food quality is lower compared to noon when the kitchen is busier, they rummage in the fries-box for some extra fries and they put a lot of vegetables and fries and sauce to cover the lack of meat. But when a customer returns back almost the whole meal ( obviously I had to try the fries and the gyro so 6 fries and 2 bite of gyro) because it doesn't reach the minimal expectations they should do something for building the trust back. The guy walked away, leaving me there, so I left the bag with the food on the table, and I left, the only thing I could do. Wow! Edit: The guy moved the head back when he smelled the fries. He was almost scared to smell them. Please upload the video so we can see. The smell was not the garlic was the old oil, I love garlic that's why I choose the greek fries. And if you say that the fries were cooked fresh, the cheese should be melt or softened, you can clearly see that is solid!!!Explain me this, you use cheese that doesn't melt? In the picture, you can clearly see that the fries are old and refried. Also, look at the amount of onion, which is really cheap! The order was not made fresh. I wasn't expecting top quality at almost 9 pm. I took only 2 bites from the gyro, it wasn't eaten as the owner said first because it was very nasty, second because I didn't want to eat it. The thing that the owner doesn't understand is that if a customer is not satisfied, he has the right to a refund! And no, the guy didn't offer me to make a new gyro and fries. He just said that the food was good and fresh and he was not going to make a new plate. Besides this, due to the bad experience, I wouldn't have eaten anymore in that place, paying customers treated like criminals! I repeat that if a customer is not satisfied with the quality of the food, the business has to make it right, replace it, or refund it!! We are not living on a desert island! And yet you try to say that the food was good!
This place used to be a good place to eat. Before they had new management. The sauces used to be free. Now they want you to pay extra for it... Just being cheap! Like, what do you expect to make so much money on the condiments that you need to charge to use them. The ketchup is even being guarded, and they only give you small packets. On top of that, the food portions have become smaller now, while the prices went up. That doesn't make sense at all. I used to come here all the time! Now I'm going somewhere else. They need to learn from places like in-n-out and other good fast food chains. Condiments should be free and only add to the value of your establishment. Plus, to add insult to injury, they started packing up all the chairs at 8:15pm when they close at 9pm. Way to create a welcoming atmosphere while I'm eating. Plus the music is too loud. This place has changed in such a short time. Good luck getting more customers by being stingy.
Found a curly hair in my gyro bowl… totally killed my appetite. 🤢🤮

Bad experience. They gave us old meat that was hard and stale on 3 plates of food . Don’t come here . Need to call corporate.
