The manager in the shift Janet helped us out today and the service was great! We had a bad experience before with this location but today she made the experience at this location a lot better. It was a party of 8 people and she gave all of us the attention needed. We’re definitely coming back. I’ve known this place for a long time but I think the new stuff that’s being hired it’s doing a great job.

It was just this side of Spectacular leaning toward Amazing, that's how I'd describe my meal at the Hayward Denny's. I don't get into Hayward much but when my old pal Hurgall Humpstaller called and said he needed some help with a pesky Wombat, I was all in! Hurgall's neighbor Glance Aataway raises those nasty little creatures and sells them at the San Jose Flee Market every Sunday for 25 bucks. I thought...you know what, I could use a Wombat up at my spread to keep the Bowhigglies in check, so here I am at the Hayward Denny's having a celebratory lunch on a rainy day with a Wombat in a cardboard box. My Navy bean soup and Italian sandwich combo was Amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆

Had a lunch today at the Union City/Hayward Denny's and must say it was a very pleasant experience. Our food was perfect, just as we asked for. Our server, Anna was awesome! I will definitely keep this place on my list of great places to have a meal. Great Job Anna!!

This is not McDonald's, but a thousand times better! Not just the food-which is infinitely better-but, well, EVERYTHING! I get it. You think a hamburger is just a hamburger. Wrong. You think customer service is pretty much the same everywhere. Wrong again! Mere words simply fail to describe the experience. You...have to see for yourself! And well you should! And, then you will understand how much enjoyment you have been missing. The food? Unimaginably good. Customer service? WORLD-CLASS. But, don't take my word for it. See for yourself. And you will be glad that you did!

Last night I was dining at Denny’s and witnessed a very unfortunate situation where a customer was cussing, yelling, and even threatening one of the servers. Our server, Jessica, handled the situation with incredible professionalism and calmness. She tried multiple times to de-escalate things and provided the customer with what she requested, yet the customer continued to verbally attack her. At one point, it even appeared that the customer was about to throw a container of ranch at Jessica until another gentleman stepped in between them. Despite everything, Jessica remained composed and later apologized to all of her tables for the disturbance—even though none of it was her fault. I was genuinely impressed with how she handled such an aggressive and difficult situation. She stayed calm, respectful, and professional the entire time. Because of her excellent service, I would absolutely return—just hopefully without the crazy customers next time!

I originally ordered at the Hesperian location, but had a horrible customer service experience because I asked for small packets of syrup. I decided to check out the industrial Denny’s for breakfast and I am so happy that I did. The customer service was outstanding the breakfast taste amazing and the order was precise. As soon as I arrived, my order was completed and ready for pick up. The waitress in the front was very friendly and she was multi-tasking the efficiency of the restaurant. My past history with Dennys has been unsatisfactory. However, their new commercials prompted me to revisit this newly renovated local in Hayward. To my dismay, though the renovation looked nice, the food quality and service still sucks! After I was promptly seated, it took about five minutes for a server to arrive. Unfortunately, she could not speak English in a comprehensive manner. So, I had to repeat my order more than twice! I had to ask her for water and utensils, twice! I ordered a veggie omelet and pork bacon. I had finished drinking my water by the time the order arrived, but, I had to ask for a refill. The cold omelet and cold toast finally came out. But, no bacon! I was almost finished with the meal before she finally returned. So, I told her to cancel the bacon order. She asked if she could still bring my "pork bacon," and I said, "Look, I'm already finished." "I said forget it." Dennys Management, I tried to patronize your business, but I've decided that I would have to be in pretty dire straits before going there again.

The waiter on my section also kept passing by never bothered to ask me if I needed anything else or if my meal was okay. When I finished eating the manager took my payment and not one word from her mouth with an upset face. I went and a handed a tip to the waitress that took me the soda from the other side of the restaurant. I am a truck driver and my hours are limited. I parked down the street and got an Uber to this Denny's. I will never come here ever again.

Came in at 4am, stood in their to-go area for about 20 minutes hoping to at least get my order taken and wait in my car. Made eye contact with several employees but none was willing to take my order and at least get me out of their way. It was not even busy, one was even taking her sweet time cutting strawberries. Approached one employee to tell her that I want my order taken, said “to wait”, and went about with what she is doing and completely forgot about me. Two doordashers were waiting for about half an hour and about six callers were ignored during my “wonderful” time waiting for someone to accommodate me. Staffs responsible were the ones working during 3/27/22 around 4:40am. If only I could give negative stars, but here’s one, I guess.

Most servers are polite and responsive: my gripe is the degree to which virtually nobody wants to listen when a simple hot cup of Lipton tea is explicitly ordered! Today İ entered approximately 06:30 am and left 08:15 without a second cup of hot Lipton tea being served 1 hour 45 minutes about which the manager accused me of being wrong: in other words in plain English, he was accusing me of bald faced lying and over a hot cup of Lipton tea. Over the last several weeks İ just put up quietly with "hot" tea barely warm enough for a bath. Yesterday İ held up the Lipton tea and said "Please give me another hot cup of this Lipton tea" which the server didn't understand and asked if i wanted orange tea. Whatever that is, İ really do not want to know. Again İ held up the Lipton package to the server's face and said "Nope no orange..just a cup of hot Lipton tea." And he had to ask me again about orange morange İ dunno what tea. Ten minutes about what a cup of hot Lipton tea meant Today after waiting almost half an hour after ordering a second cup of hot Lipton tea explicitly İ was served warm bath water in a cup, no tea. İ asked again for a second cup of Lipton tea, hot. This time the server returned another half hour or so saying İ would have to pay for the second cup. Still no tea. İ gave up: I said thanks for the lesson in economics. Bring me some more hot water, please and how much will the hot water cost, İ was asking when she lost her cool and said "İ am telling the manager." The manager's response was to cut me off several times mid sentence and eventually to tell me that nothing I'd said was true. And that there was no way I'd been waiting an hour: İ had come in at 06:30 and didn't leave until 08:15. 1 hour 45 minutes. All that over a second cup of hot explicitly Lipton tea, the only tea they serve. What is it about a second cup of hot tea made from tea that gets people in California so riled up?
