Thank you so much to Darrin for bring such a great waiter, and Stephanie fir being an awesome manager. They both worked really hard to make sure we had what we needed for our birthday party for my mom's 70th. She chose Jalapeno Tree in Henderson, TX because she knew that Stephanie was going to be working and we would all be well taken care of. In my opinion, this Jalapeno Tree is the best around.

I can't eat spicy foods but the staff there are always good to try to meet my needs. Fast service and friendly staff.

Visiting from out of town and seen this place… I love Mexican food so my Honey Boo and I decided to try it….. This place did not disappoint at all…. Darrin was our server and he was awesome with tending to us… the drinks were average… but the food was freaking awesome we ordered the ultimate nachos and the El Dorado Fajitas. This was the first time we were asked how do we want our steak cooked for fajitas. That question alone put this restaurant above the rest. That steak was so tender and delicious. The garlic butter saucewas the icing on top on the fajitas!!!

My friends and I stopped by here while out of town for my SOs birthday. We had a great server named Serana (I hope I spelled that right), and she was super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and we had a good time. Literally zero complaints. :) I really enjoyed the tortilla soup!

Seated promptly Friendly and helpful server I'm gluten free so the server made suggestions about food items and I was able to order a meal that suited my needs Because I had not eaten at Jalapeno tree in a while and never at the Henderson location, I cannot comment to the portions or price. I just know it was plenty for me. The server was attentive to keeping our drinks refilled and brought me an ice cream dessert(with whip cream and chocolate drizzle) after checking on my food allergies, for a birthday surprise! I have been a regular here for many years and I’ve always enjoyed my visits. One of the best choices Jalapeño Tree has made was hiring Stephanie Reynolds. She has been my family’s server for several years now. When we come in she knows what we are drinking and eating. She always greets us with smiles and hugs. Stephanie always takes care of us and makes sure we leave with a smile on our face.

Everyone was SO nice and very accommodating for our large party (with kids!). The service was excellent and our waitress, Hagan, was so attentive.

Early dinner with an old friend of mine. I got the brisket nachos and he got the fajita nachos. Both came out hot, fresh and very good. Either one of us could eat it all. The chips and salsa was also good but I can't forget the waitress Dulce was fast friendly and efficient at her work. It has been a long time since I have eaten here but will come again soon. I have eaten at Jalepeno Tree from the time that it opened. Honestly had thought it had gone down somewhat in the last few years and slacked off going there. I will have to say the last few months things have turned around! I love the new menu items and the Manager, Stephanie is FABULOUS! Margaritas are strong and good! Really hard to find a place that doesn't skimp out. Had the steak and shrimp ranchero and was Def worth it. Wish the bathrooms were just a bit more nicer.

My first times trying this place. The enchiladas were the best ever in Texas. I really love how everyone greets you on the way in and on the way out. It has always been good food and great service. My wife and I come here almost every weekend to eat and not one time did we have any bad service here, never had a long wait to be seated or for the food to come out. The people that work there are very nice and respectful every time I have been there.

To be fair, We showed up with twenty three people. Everything moved at a very decent pace for the amount of people that we just seated all at once. I ordered the house margarita and enjoyed it. The prices were really reasonable. The waitress did her absolute best and we seldom waited very long for anything. I was pretty impressed that the kitchen got the order out in a really reasonable time. I think they made one mistake and had to remake one plate. So, it's not perfect, but I think under normal circumstances, it would have been better.

While my husband and I were dating, Jalapeño Tree was our "go-to" place after church on Wednesday nights. We've been married over a year and a half and now have a 6 month old baby! We haven't been out to eat with her since she was born, until yesterday. Being Easter Sunday, it was a little busy (understandable). But the staff and food were as exceptional as ever!! Our waiter, Darren, made sure we were satisfied with chips, salsa, and drinks. The manager, Stephanie, was attentive to all tables while we were there! Waiter Marc could not have been better! Polite, courteous, and informative! Manager, Ms.Stephanie was also quite wonderful. I ordered a somewhat unusual drink from the bar. She came out to tell me how much it was going to cost and be sure that’s exactly what I wanted! That has never happened to me and all my 75 years! This is not the first time we have eaten there, but I guess it was probably the best ever! We will always stop there on our way to North Texas!! They should both get great bonuses!! Could not have been a bit dining experienced while we were on the road!

Experience was awesome!!! The manager Stephanie, and the servers Nicole and Hagan were wonderful! We had a party of 22 for a 13-year-old‘s birthday party and they accommodated us wonderfully had everything set up no wait and we got our great food and in a timely manner. I went to eat with my family and Jalapeño Tree was not our first choice but we are sure glad we came. Our server Lucas had an amazing attitude and took care of us to make sure we had a great evening meal. It was cold an evening but he warmed our hearts. The food at the Henderson Texas location was good. About what one would expect. The only reason for 5 stars is the staff. From our server Nicole, and the busser Braden to the other staff we interacted with (Hagan) we felt welcomed and appreciated. Rare commodity these days. Nicole went above and beyond to take care of myself and my siblings. Braden was always on hand to help out as well! I drove down from Ontario Canada to visit family I had not seen in years. Nicole and Braden ensured we had a wonderful visit. Hagan was super too! I almost forgot to mention Steph, she wanted me to make sure she was mentioned as well. But the light goes to Nicole and Braden. Thank you both for a job well done and for going those extra steps to be the great humans you are. ❤️

We have been going here for years, its a great atmosphere and kid friendly. Having a large family they are always willing to acomodate us quickly. The food is always good either dining in or taking out. My only complaint is that the green sauce is very expensive when called in for take out, its complimentary when dining in. The restaurant is always clean and service is normally quick, even during the busiest of times. The waiting staff has always been courteous and quick. The kids are always eager to have Ice cream afterwards too. Parking is adequate and easy to get in and out of.

Got great customer service and tasty food.

Our team stopped in for dinner. We liked the name and the look of the place. The atmosphere of the place once inside is okay. Seems like a franchise location and the quality seemed like they came off the Sysco truck. Overall the food was good but there is plenty of room for improvement. The chips brought to the table once seated are too thin and not good for dipping. Service was excellent and the pricing was on the high side. I could be talked into visiting again...

I had a rather odd experience at this restaurant, mainly due to the unreasonably slow service at the bar. Despite the place not being busy, it took no less than five minutes for the bartender to prepare a single drink. It was baffling, especially considering there were no other customers ordering at the time. The bartender seemed distracted, moving at a pace that felt completely out of sync with the atmosphere. This delay really took away from the overall experience, and it was hard to understand why the service was so slow given the lack of a crowd. While the food was decent, the slow drink preparation left much to be desired in terms of service.

Food was delicious and our server, Forrest, was super nice and attentive even to my mother's dietary restrictions. We hit a bit of a snag in our evening but it was dealt with swiftly and professionally. Will definitely come again.

My food was good and the service was friendly and attentive. The place overall has a good feel. I didn't go during average lunch hours so it was more casual and quiet. However, they serve alcohol, but didn't have a bartender who could make the drink requested. Which is not really that big of deal. After all they do have some pretty good sweet tea. The only reason why I give the place four stars stars because I'm being bitter I'm just being honest.

Evidently no one explained that to the young lady in Henderson's drive through. I finally left. I don't know if I will ever be back.

Jalapeno Tree used to be a favorite place of ours. It has changed alot over the last year. The prices have went way up which is not surprising considering all places are going up. However it seems that JT has raised the prices as well as lowered the portions. I ordered a Pollo Asado which I haven't in a while and when it came out is was the usual chicken but cut in half. It used to be somewhere around 12.00 for a nice sized piece of chicken or sometimes 2 pieces of chicken depending on the cook and some rice and beans now it's 15.00 for half a piece of chicken and some rice and beans. I think charging 15.00 for it would be okay if the portion had stayed the same. Now customers are paying 3.00 more for half of what they paid 12.00 for seems wrong to me. This is exactly how the plate was delivered to the table.

Food was good. Never received guacamole. Asked for quest and got our meal before they even remembered it. So we canceled it. They said sorry we'll take it off your bill. Then the queso arrives and we turn it away and told them the waitress took it off the bill. Still got billed for it. Mistakes are never in customer favor. Interesting.

Listen the atmosphere & service was definitely on point. It was Mother’s Day so you can imagine the crowd. The waitstaff took care of business as far as keeping the drinks and the chips and salsa coming. The food wasn’t all that great which I was already full from the queso and salsa so I can’t complain. Took to-go plates food came in handy later that night watching movies 😩

Great food but if you wanna have a couple drinks don't come here I was only allowed 2 margaritas which CRAZY I THOUGHT THIS WAS AMERICA. But really good food just not the place to drink at if you want more than 2 very weak margaritas 😜 😉

Was charged $4.99 for queso on my nachos, when it has previously been 99 cents. Apparently due to a new price change according to the waiter when asked about it. Nothing special, americanized mexican food. Service was ok. Prices a little high for what you got. Nothing to write home about.

Good food, fast service, giving a low rating becuas I felt they were rushing me to finish and leave. The check was dropped off when I was only 1/2 finished, the server hovered near my table and asked to take my plate too early. Just felt rushed, exact scenario two nights in a row.

I have already left a review of this establishment. I will never go here again and would advise other to do the same. That said. They did try very hard to fix the issue. Although due to the issue it made it worse for me as I do not like attention. My waitress was not the issue. Poor girl probably felt horrible. The issue was lack of management, lack of customer service, lack of personal responsibility. In my opinion they need to re-evaluate there requirement for customer relations. The lack of basic intelligence is very concerning to me. Common sense is further becoming not so common. Basic customer service is very simple, yet very complicated at the same time. That is not an excuse for the service I received at this location. Staff needs to be taught how to better assist someone they have offended.

Went around the 7th of March with my daughter and grandchildren. Daughter and I got food poisoning. We noticed after being seated that the staff looked miserable. No one smiled or even spoke that much. Short of a funeral I can't say I have ever seen a group of people so sad/miserable. The manager was serving food. I don't know what was going on but it was creepy. Before you ask, yes I tried to notify the health dept. I never want anyone to get as sick as we did. This is very sad because I loved this place and was my main go to for good food/service. Now I am just to scared to go back.

EDITED: I wanted to follow up on the review I left regarding a billing error at Jalapeño Tree. I was recently contacted personally by Paul, the owner, who offered a sincere apology and took full responsibility for the oversight. He assured me that the staff will be receiving additional training on the correct way to bill à la carte items moving forward. I truly appreciate his professionalism and the time he took to reach out directly. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the customer experience, and that means a lot. Thank you, Paul, for your response and commitment to improvement. The food and service at this restaurant were both absolutely amazing. Our waiter was attentive, and the quality of the meal exceeded expectations. However, the experience was unfortunately overshadowed by a frustrating issue with the billing. I ordered three à la carte fajita enchiladas, expecting to be charged individually or at a reasonable combo rate. Instead, I was surprised to see the charges come out to $28—broken down as a $13.29 combo (which includes rice and beans, though none were ordered) and three separate $4.99 charges for the enchiladas. When I asked for clarification, I was told this was just how it had to be rung up, despite the fact that no combo was actually served. I asked to speak with a manager, hoping for a simple explanation or correction. Unfortunately, her response was even more disappointing. She told me that if the enchiladas were rung up differently, they would cost $10 each, and she refused to adjust the price. She even admitted she didn’t agree with the way it was keyed in or the pricing, and then shifted the blame to our waiter for not warning us about an upcharge. I wasn’t asking for anything free—just to be fairly and accurately charged. In the end, I paid the full amount, but I left feeling taken advantage of. As much as I enjoyed the food and service, I will not be returning to this location due to the poor handling of this issue.

This place needs to take more caution and practice cleaning methods. My friends son had metal from the fry basket in his food which is not okay. It might be time to invest in new equipment before serving others. This could have caused tremendous damage to this child. And just getting his meal for free shouldn’t be the only resolution. I hope no other customer has to find things in their food that shouldn’t be there. Please do better, and if you can’t then don’t be a business

Awful food. No seasoning on fajita lunch meal. Poor quality of food for price paid. Won't be back. Would not recommend this restaurant. I would give zero star if possible. The meat was not done. it had a weird taste to it. Rice was cold and hard. Pepsi had too much syrup. The chips and green sauce were the best part of the meal. My son said all of his food was cold. Never saw the waitress again after we received our food. Had to ask another one for our ticket.

The place is annoying they had that night music from the 80’ it almost seem like a chunky cheese full of kids. Their salsa is out of a can. Just nasty can’t believe is always full. We order Chile’s rellenos and the lady ask if my friend wanted one or two! The crust was crunchy thick and nasty and the ground meet had no flavor and the famous cheese on top is like powder cheese. When we receive the bill only for him was 17.00 and he left 3/4 of the plate it was a truly waste of time. I ask for the enchiladas and wonder if they were red or green looool the lady look at me like I was crazy she said they are only one kind! Here. The front sign says Texmex HEAVEN and I’m telling you what a disgrace of Mexican food. I order that chicken breast it tasted almost like boiled in water no seasoning at all and then it had like some butter sauce in a cup but as you can see they sold me like 10.00 of beans. Then the tortillas were warmed in a microwave that’s another crime!!!!! The best thing of the place is the free ice cream!

Never in my life have I made a negative review of a business/restaurant, but what I experienced here today was inexcusable. I have worked in the service industry for 7+ years at this point so I completely understand that screw ups happen. Sometimes often, lol. It’s just part of it. The most important part of it all is how staff (particularly managers) respond to said “screw ups”. So at the risk of sounding like a Karen, I’ll be making my first complaint today lol. So let’s start from the beginning. My mother and I called to place a to go order today. I’ll preface this by saying that the call itself from the very beginning was handled by someone very unpleasant lol. We asked for chicken cheesy rice, & were told they did not have that specifically. So we settled for a side of rice, side of fajita chicken, and a side of white queso lol. I mean are you joking? The rest of our order consisted of a child’s enchilada plate with chili on top, a quesadilla, and side of guacamole. We live outside of town so we waited a few minutes, then headed that way. A total of over 30 minutes to have our food prepared. We arrive at the window, pay, then we are handed 2 separate bags. One bag with the meals & one bag with the chips/salsa/etc. LUCKILY, we pulled to the side to check our order before driving all the way home. We were given 2 steak fajita meals, not even close to our order. So I look on the ticket attached to the bag, sure enough everything we ordered was ON the ticket with the exception of the side of rice for their deconstructed version of chicken cheesy rice 🤣 So, we pull back around, explain the situation (calmly, I might add). The employee at the window immediately runs to get a manager. Manager comes up to us, I explain to her that the only thing missing on the ticket is the side of rice. She asked what size I wanted in OUNCES 🤣. I told her “honestly whatever you think, I just wanted chicken cheesy rice”. This part is my fault, I should’ve googled what XYZ ounces of rice looks like I guess 🤣. She then says “just keep the chips and salsa and give us another 20 minutes to correct your order”. Are you KIDDING? Of course I’m going to keep the chips and salsa, I paid for them?? As a manger, the LEAST you could’ve done is throw in a coupon & apology 🤣 So we kill 20 minutes of time, pull back around to the window where we are greeted with 3 people trying to get the order together. We get the order only to find that the side of rice is TINY, (I mean, come on? You couldn’t have thrown in a decent amount of rice after all this lol?) there’s no chili on the enchilada, no apologies to make up for this colossal screw up and waste of time lmao. Like I said, I’ve worked in this industry for 7+ years & this entire experience was so unnecessarily unpleasant. I’ve never believed in making negative reviews, ESPECIALLY if the staff makes genuine attempts to better the situation. When I’ve found myself in situations like this as an employee, I’ve always at the very least offered a free appetizer, discounted something, etc. After a customer spends $50 on an order & has to waste an entire hour for you to get it correct, it is the very LEAST you could do. The employee and manager both had every single opportunity to at least attempt to better the situation but they did not. Hopefully going forward if things like this happen again, they handle it differently.

I had the worst experience with this restaurant. The food was terrible but this not a problem:( When I asked for the check I’ve been told they don’t accept American Express cards. The manager was very rude talking to me with the hands in her pockets, telling me that I have to find different way to pay. For me that’s very inconvenient because I am using Company card but for some reason that fact made the manager smile. As I said very rude. Would never go back there.

The greasiest, saddest, quesadilla I have had. I did a pickup order and it seemed as though it had been sitting for a while, and the quesadilla itself was sitting in a pile of grease and was soggy on the bottom. Made me sick to try and continue eating. I've never had this experience before.
