The perfect stop in Hercules, with a gorgeous view of the water. Had a taro milk tea, a chicken empanada (get the chimichurri!) & a guava alfajor — all delicious! The seating is only outdoors & is limited but it is a spot deserving of your business. Fast service & fantastic food & drink in a beautiful spot — what more could you ask for?

A little gem in Hercules, tucked in a little cozy corner in the neighborhood. It is within walking distance of the water. It is very cozy so seating can be limited when busy. They serve coffee, a little breakfast and sandwiches. We had some chicken empanadas, but they also have other flavors. We also had some corn tamales, which is sweet masa. A great place to stop on your walk or meet a friend. It's really cute.

Sweet little cafe. They offer window service and outdoor seating only. Loved the empanadas and the Taro smoothie! It's a nice view of the bay and the paved bay trail is across the way. It's a beautiful walk with my delicious foods in hand.

So wonderful to have a unique cafe in the neighborhood. The beef empanadas were delicious and the chicken arepa was also very good. I appreciate well seasoned food and these dishes were both very homey, authentic, and salted well. Expect some longer waits as they figure out their systems and get a rhythm going, which I’m sure will happen in no time.

Tried their Chai latte (iced), and caramel latte (iced) and they were both PERFECT! I used to go to Peet’s for their chai, but after today I think I much prefer Hizacafe. I will say Peet’s chai is still amazing, it tastes thicker, is darker, and sweeter. But Hizacafe has that authentic chai taste and frankly, less sweet is always better anyways! I’m not a fan of caramel, but I had a sip of my sisters and I have to say I could see the appeal. Didn’t try their foods but next time I’ll definitely try it out. I like that they have the menu outside and a small window to order and get your order. They have tables outside so you can sit and relax by the ocean.

Got myself an iced vanilla latte and it was soooo good! It was a bit on the sweet side, but I have a major sweet tooth so it hit the spot. Just a heads up if you're not into sweet.

The beef and chicken empanadas were very delicious ( especially beef ), along with the mango habanero sauce. The hot chocolate tasted like sweet watered-down caramel 2% milk. It wasn't chocolaty at all.

food was amazing drinks were amazing😍 however I went twice and both the times that I went, when I was about to leave, i said thank u to him loud and clear in front of him. The first time I just left didn’t think much of it I just thought maybe he didn’t hear me . The second time I said it I kind of waited for like some reaction and he literally just stood there🧍‍♂️ looking at anything but me like uhhhhh okay ???? kind of rude because I just said thank u to you, and now u are just standing there ignoring me when I’m clearly in front of you trying to compliment ur food and say my thanks guess it doesn’t matter after I already paid I bet u do that often too . atleast you should say ur welcome or thank u or have a nice day or come back soon . Rude as hell stick as employee. Never ever going back there. Sucks because I thought I had found my comfort place, I walk by here everyday and was so happy when I discover this cute shack.. I already have bad enough social anxiety and employee dude ruined the whole experience and the whole entire vibe of the beach :( . Food was good tho .

The iced matcha latte was too sweet and over powered by the sugar content… definitely tasted like green colored horchata… I would have gave the drink back by I was already in my car on the way to the park…

Wouldn't recommend this spot. Rude employee got upset when I asked to adjust my drink. I assumed the iced lattee came sweetened. When I came back & asked if I could use a syrup to add to the drink the employee started getting visibly frustrated and told me it was stated on the menu & that I hadn't specified. On the menu l ordered from, all that was stated was "iced lattee". If there were flavors to choose from it was elsewhere. I was kind and had tipped on this drink & what would be a simple adjustment to the drink turned into an unnecessary situation where a customer was mistreated due to a misunderstanding in the menu. He did add the syrup eventually but the way it was handled wasn’t okay. To the rude employee who I know will ready this.... I know you're frustrated but that's not my problem. You should treat customers with respect, especially when they were being kind & respectful to you the entire time.
