Good, fast, and friendly service. Nice fresh ingredients. I really liked the thin crust I had. Crust had a nice fire oven feel. The middle of the pizzas are kind of soggy for me. But, thats mostly because I order alot of extra veggies on my pizzas.

Our favorite personalized pizza place in the area. I've given some pretty crazy orders and they always make it without question. They do warn you if putting an ingredient on top of cheese will make that ingredient come out possibly burnt. Their teas are great too.

First experience here was during COVID-19 days. MOD Pizza was adhering to CDC guidelines. Masks were being worn, sanitation was in place. And the place smelled delicious! We custom ordered our pizzas Online and it was very easy. It was only moments after arrival that we were able to pick up our pizzas and go. We did eat them a little bit later having taken them with us to the drive-in movies. They were delicious and I’m very happy to of been introduced to MOD Pizza.

It is a great night when we get to go MOD for dinner. Great selection, awesome you can make your own pizza or salad, good service. And all at a very reasonable price.

I was looking for a place to take my wife for a nice dinner. As soon as we opened the door we were greeted by a smile and a enthusiastic hello, which was cool. We came in to create our own pizza because we are kinda picky when it comes to our toppings. There are choices in crust & a few different sauces. Having so many options is a little overwhelming but our server was patient and kind. We opted for the thin crust with red sauce, then piled on the toppings. I really love the cloves of roasted garlic & onions. It is fun getting to create our own style of pizza.🍕 I can say the price was right under 20 bucks. We were able to find a booth & really enjoyed our personalized pizza. MOD pizza is great for a quick & easy dinner. I gotta give this place two thumbs up 👍👍Great job MOD!!!

Before, I had stopped coming because it was just too dang cold in there. They must be under new management because there have been a lot of good new changes made, which will have me and my friends coming back more frequently now.

Crust was fabulous, the pizza creator was friendly, and it was surprisingly fast that the pizza was baked-I went to the bathroom, and just like 1 to 2 minutes, the pizza was ready! This location was great, and I hope to go to another one again.

Pizzas are good and reasonably priced.

Good pizza & salads at very reasonable prices. Their larger-sized pizzas are a little bizzarre because they're the regular small pizzas stacked on top of each other with some of sauce & cheese serving as glue & toppings on top as usual. I'm probably not describing it very well- - it was weird but I still enjoyed it.

I like these types of pizza joints. My only qualm is that sometimes they burn the bottom of the crust. During this visit, I had a good time with our our out-of-town guests. One of them said that it was one of his top 5 pizzas ever! I gave them 4 stars because when I was ordering, I felt like I was being rushed in the process.

I really like this place. Clean and greated walking in the door. Load up your pizza without additional charges. Good flavor and made to order in 5-8 minutes give or take. Lots of options and never disappointed. Once the pizza crust was a bit burned and they caught it and made another right away, unlike many places that would hide it and hope that you wouldn't notice until it was too late.

Love this place when you have a person who cares about your pizza. Individually separating and spreading the pepperonis instead of clumping a few around makes a big difference. Sometimes we have an amazing person who takes the time and asks if that's ok or if you want more, food always tastes better when it's made with love.

Not your usual pizza parlor. This establishment is very open so you can watch your pizza being processed and cooked. They have a variety of basic pizzas that you can add a multitude of different toppings to. The results turn out to be a pizza just the way you always wanted one to taste like! Thumbs up for MOD Pizza in Pinole, keep up the excellent work. As a plus, the preparers and the rest of the crew are very friendly and helpful.

Great build your own thin crust fresh ingredient pizza. Overall a great quick and fun pizza place. I would have given them 5 stars if they were more generous with the toppings that are your favorite. Today I noticed roasted asparagus as a topping. I told my pizza maker I love asparagus! I only received a small sprinkle of asparagus and then was moved on. Bummer. Maybe next time they will listen a bit more. Overall still best pizza in town.

Staff are always friendly and pizza is decent...I mean we do go once a week so that speaker for itself. It's nice that you get to design your own pizza. Let your inner chef shine! I think some staff need to know the details of the set pizzas a little better as last time we went I tried to tell the girl I had the seasonal pizza and she's like so what goes on that... Pretty rad that if you order the seasonal 20% of the proceeds go to a charity. They should promote this more!! Alcoholic beverages are available :)

Is like other pizza places, not that great, the pizza is fine but something is missing. The presentation is very simple. The service is fine and fast. But the personal looks sad and they are not very polite I believe they work just because don't have a better place or a better job. Anyway that's only my opinion, maybe others think differently. 🙄

The gentleman taking our order didnt seem to be in a good mood to a point i felt uncomfortable telling him what else to add to my custom pizza. Afterward i asked my friend and she felt the same way. Also the ingredients was so little that some parts was just empty and too dry.

Came in for a mini custom pizza that was not fully loaded with toppings at all. I waited 15 minutes and from the point I payed and received my pizza only to get it home and notice it was half way baked. The slices just flopped down like wet paper upon lifting them from the box. Step it up MOD, super fast also can mean super under cooked.

Pizza place is convenient, doesn't taste bad. But is not truly gluten free. Shares the same prep service, they don't change gloves, and shares the same oven baking service. Wish I could go back, but due to not being truly gluten free the pain isn't worth it.

Great place, pizza and staff except for one staff member who happens to be woman in her late 20s and works the oven is sooo rude especially to delivery drivers. I was seating waiting for my pizza and I saw how she treated a Grubhub driver. He was fine and asked about the order but her response was amazingly rude. They are essential workers that happens to benefit themselves and us why treat them so bad. Management gotta watch their staff and make sure staff treat everyone right.

Not a great experience. Staff did not listen, got order wrong. Got that fixed and they were in such a hurry (although not really busy at all) they started before we were ready, so my pizza had red sauce, even though I didn't want any. They skipped right over the cheese, so we got mozzarella and only mozzarella. Did not explain anything to customers, on how ordering or cooking works or listen when questions were asked. Luckily we have been to a MOD before, so we had a clue. But if this had been our first time, we would never have had a 2nd. As I expect will be the case of other customers. Then when order was done, mine was burnt on one side and they dropped my husband's on the floor. They did apologize, but offered no compensation at all. I wouldn't necessarily have expected anything, but for all the previous issues we had already experienced, and even just a small gesture like a free drink next visit or discount on next order (also increasing chance of return visit) or throw on a side or dessert when they had to remake and cook a new pizza would have shown some customer service and true remorse. It would have made the review positive rather than negative. It would have meant return visits to this location, which there won't be.

I'm sorry but mod has gone way downhill in my opinion. Every time I visit they seem short staffed. The tables are dirty. The staff aren't as welcoming and friendly as before. The food is still pretty good and they give a decent amount of toppings but so little cheese that the toppings all just slide off.

Mods is mods but this one got the one star because of two things, the service and food quality. The host delayed welcoming the customer over lost items that should have been acounted for at the start of the day. Furthermore there was never a connection with the customer to ensure the order was taken correctly. The customer had to continue correcting the toppings. As for the quality of food, many of the items were burnt. Specifically the garlic for the salad and then the pizza itself was burnt in the oven. I feel this is a bit too critical but this is the first mods with this experience. Sorry if its harsh, but could use some work here.

I guess it's the last time I visit Mod. Prices went up significantly, and they look at you strangely when you ask for extra.

Flew in Oakland airport and hadn’t eaten all day. Researched exactly who would be open late night that would be easy to get off the freeway. Decided on Mod pizza in Pinole Valley which advertises on their website and on google that they’re open til 11. Arrived at 10:16, the door was open with two employees behind the counter who told me it closed at 10. I told them that the advertised hours said 11 and they said they were wrong. Checked again after they wouldn’t serve me, and that location on mod pizza says they’re open every day until 11. It seemed like some lazy employees that just wanted to go home early. Super disappointing.

There was way too much tomato sauce and the pepperoni was flavorless as was the rest of the awful pizza. The Doordash driver left the pizzas on top of a wet door mat, and failed to ring the doorbell or call as I instructed. The pizzas were cold because we did not realize they had been delivered and sat outside for more than 20 minutes. I did call and complain to the store and we assured I would get a refund for the 2 pizzas we ordered.

On Friday August 15th I ordered a pizza with plant based cheese because of my dietary restrictions. What I received and accidentally ate in rushed hunger 30 minutes later when I got home, was a piece of pizza with animal cheese on it. Lessons I learned: 1. A pizza spot with plant based options doesn’t mean the staff are trained to care for people with dietary restrictions. 2. A pizza spot with plant based options needs someone that is allergen aware to make sure people with dietary restrictions are taken care of. 3. Staff may just bare minimally say ”oh sorry “ and ask you if “you want another one or..?” Instead of genuinely apologize for making a mistake that could cause harm to someone medically, especially because it was their mistake. 4. They tried and succeeded for a while but I’m calling it quits and not recommending to people with food restrictions from animal products.

most of the issues with this specific location probably comes from lackluster management— without fail, the ingredients station at this location is always a mess. items mixed together and a lack of interest in making sure ingredients you didn't ask for don't make it onto your order also, the listed hours for this location have been wrong FOR MONTHS. the listed hours are either wrong or the employees at this location consistently turn away customers after 10 pm. the quality of the food varies, I've never personally had a negative experience but I know people who have.
