I recommend the experience 100/10 ✨🌵 The landscapes are incredible. My favorite part was visiting the sand dunes and stargazing. They taught me how to take cool photos. You can also see craters, Martian lands, and eat delicious food in Puerto Peñasco.

It's an experience you have to live. The starry sky is like nothing I've ever seen before. The guides are incredibly kind and welcoming. It is quite cold, so be sure to prepare well and bring everything you need to protect yourself from the cold, and of course, you'll have to do your business in the field, haha. Even though I'm not much of a camper, I would come back just to witness and admire the night sky, the delicious morning coffee, and the dunes of the Altar Desert. Many thanks to the team for their effort and love for their work.

I highly recommend the tour to the Pinacate Biosphere and Altar Desert. We saw the Perseid meteor shower, accompanied by a talk by an astrophysicist. The camping equipment we rented was in excellent condition; it was a wonderful experience. Thank you to Manlio and his entire team for making it so wonderful! Although there were some inconveniences, like the truck we were traveling in getting stuck at the last stop, help arrived quickly, and it was part of an adventure I will definitely repeat.

Dunes under the moon. Not suitable for people taller than 1.60m (5'3"). The Pinacate Reserve is well worth visiting, but it's a very long trip, 6 hours from Hermosillo, with stops every 3 hours. They take you in Sprinter vans, but they're modified to carry more passengers than usual. While the seats are cushioned, there's very little legroom, and it becomes VERY uncomfortable to be so cramped for all those hours. They stop at convenience stores like Oxxo, so they could go somewhere else, especially during lunch on the second day. They could stop at a taco stand, which would be a better option. The tents are square, so if you're taller than 1.60m (5'3"), you're out of luck because you have to sleep curled up, and even an inflatable camping mattress won't fit properly. The guides are friendly and do their best, but these organizational issues detract from an otherwise beautiful experience. I recommend not taking the trip during a supermoon or when the dunes are illuminated by the moon because they don't actually look that big; it's just marketing. It's better to go when it's just the stars. The dunes are breathtaking, as are the sunrises and sunsets. Visiting the museum is also fantastic. I didn't get a stop at the giant saguaro cactus that you see in so many TikTok videos; we only stopped at the El Elegante and Colorado craters.
