One of my favorite places to get pizza from. My favorites are the Grandma & Margarita slice. Both have a rich tasting sauce. The margarita is a thin whole wheat dough which is really good.
I, enjoy eating at Marinara’s anytime I have an Italian cuisine food craving. I usually order my entree, and skip the appetizers, however all of the appetizers are always fresh and yummy. I am a pain, when it comes to ordering my food at restaurants, because I like to tailor the dishes that I order to my palette, as eclectic and strange that could possibly be. I enjoy changing my sauces, adding things to my entrees and even customizing my order so that it may be much more expensive than advertise after adding things to the mix. Tonight, I had, the following: From Marinara : *Chicken Marsala With a side of: *Spaghetti with Alfredo sauce +pesto sauce +broccoli florets with no stalk +garnish with finely chopped parsley +sprinkle of pepper flakes +parmigiana reggiano *Order of Tiramisu *1 bottle of Coca Cola The Marsala is delectable, and it is cooked to perfection. The sauce is so yummy, and perfect. With a dish like this, I enjoy pairing the meat, with something more creamy and heavier, because I just enjoy that taste I get on my palette with the wines and cheeses that accompany the sauces. I think, that a Marsala, with mushroom, goes out of this world amazing, with Alfredo sauce. I added a few extra things to my entree, as you can see, as mentioned above, and it is NEVER an issue with the wait staff at Marinara. I am always well accommodated, and I never have been told no. The staffs at Marinara, is amazing, and all have really good attitudes. I would definitely tip them more if I visited there, as they deserve it. The chef understands how to really please his crowd, and the food just alone, speaks for its self. The dessert I always order, every single time, is Tiramisu, and it is always prepared fresh and is delicious. The tiramisu tops off my visit at Marinara, every time. I also, enjoy having a glass of wine, or so with my entree, as the ambiance is quite fit for a rewind and relax meal. I think, that so far, I have tried everything to t is not beef or pork on their menu, and it is awesome. I am Hindu, and I don’t eat beef or pork. I have also, eaten at Marinara, while keeping fasts for religious observances, and the food is always good for this. I recommend, Marinara highly.
Amazing food continues. Our favorite pizza place. Fresh tasting ingredients.
I’m a regular customer here, and the food never disappoints. I’m equally impressed with the service. During my most recent visit, my server, Danielle, was attentive, accommodating, kind, and patient with all of my requests. My husband and I enjoyed our meal, which was all the more pleasant thanks to such friendly service!
Great place with good pizza I don’t mess around with any of the other places around that area especially south of it
My go-to Italian spot—their pink sauce is amazing! I love their pasta and pizza. I'm so glad they started delivering to Island Park through Grubhub—now that I don’t have to drive, I’ve been ordering way more often.
I've been a frequent customer here for almost twenty years. The quality has never ever waned. This is my favorite pizza place, across states and countries and whatever may have you. I always make sure to get something from here whenever I am home. I would definitely recommend the buffalo pizza slice or the penne alla vodka. Both are extremely delicious and never miss. I look forward to coming here again soon!
Awesome place all around. I’ve never been dissatisfied. Expect with the line. Pizza, salads, dinners it’s all great. Try the chopped salad and shrimp marinara with Spaghetti, (extra sauce)
A big shout out to Marinara’s Italian Restaurant in Hewlett, NY (the 5 towns on Long Island) for DECADES of exceptional service, quality and value. And (especially during these times): For proudly displaying Chanukia’s (Menorah’s) for Chanukah! Year and year! A true neighborhood gem worth driving to from where you are. Great for families, a casual date or even by yourself. My favorites? - the eggplant parmagiano, Zucchini Noodles w garlic and olive oil, and the bread! Awesome. Love this place and service from Lysha , Aliana and Sam!
Just came here for the first time and ordered a margarita pizza slice (whole wheat) and garlic knots. A bit pricey but hey, it’s New York! Great taste, don’t regret it at all. Best garlic knots I’ve ever tried. Customer service is A1 and the workers are so sweet! EDIT: ended up purchasing a whole pie because it was so good. It was 30$.
I’ve been going here since I was a child. I recently went back and it still tastes the same! Such big portions for a reasonable price. Staff was very attentive and kind. The complementary bread (especially the garlic bread) is to die for!!! My favorite plate is linguini de Mare with white sauce so I recommend that. Love everything about this place.
Great customer service, enjoyable food, and reasonable prices for the area.
Good news for diabetics and pre-diabetics! Finally, cauliflower crust pizza that's crispy and. yummy. You will want to come here every day and try every topping. My daughter got the chicken Sorrentino: delicious except for the lacking-in-flavor mozzarella melted on top. One more thing: we considered sharing a Caesar salad and our nice waiter Sam let us sample their two Caesar dressings. Suffice it to say, we skipped the Caesar salad. But I'll be back for that amazing cauliflower pizza.
Been eating here for years. Used to be better but still ok for neighborhood place.
I am a teenager, who ate at Marinara. I understand the stereotype in which teenagers may be rebellious, and at times, disrespectful, but I assure you that is not the type of teenager I am. I visited Marinara with a my friend, we ordered 2 pizzas to go. The price for each pizza is nearly $4, which I think is crazy because you can drive two minutes to a near pizzeria and find a pizza slice way cheaper and better. Back to the point, we ordered the pizzas to go, went outside for a bit, and then we thought it was a little cold, so we tried to go back inside. This was never a problem. I’ve done this many times before. But out of nowhere, an employee at Marinara started berating us and being disrespectful for no reason. She started yelling at us to get out, and that we weren’t allowed in after we had purchased the slices to go. This is understandable, but there was no reason for us to be yelled at. Furthermore, I got garlic knots, which I personally CANNOT eat without marinara sauce. I asked for marinara sauce, and the same worker yelled at me to get out of the stores premises and that I must purchase extra sauce, which is complete and total nonsense, because people right in front of me asked for sauce and were allowed. This food place was extremely disrespectful and rude to me for no apparent reason. Come to Marinara if you want to be disrespected.
It’s been a very long while since I tasted pizza as terrible and disappointing as the pizza from this establishment. This is not real authentic Italian pizza by a long shot or even half-decent pizza. I am left disgusted and extremely upset I paid $20 for this garbage. How do you f up pizza? The inventor of pizza would be disappointing with this trash if he tasted it. This pizza is a disgrace to pizza. I could eat pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but this garbage not even if you paid me. I have had 5-star pizza before from two joints in Manhattan, can’t remember their names right now, but the point is, there IS amazing 5-stars pizza joints out there, and I have had the fortune of eating that amazing pizza, but this place is not it. The pizza here is mediocre at best. I came here today for the first time and tried three different types. I was really in the mood for pizza and I was really hungry so when you’re hungry everything tastes good, right? Shockingly, that myth is wrong. Needless to say, I will never return to this place. The only positive thing about this place is that they had some decent beer choices, at least in my opinion, but hey I thought I came here for authentic Italian pizza and not some tasteless trash. Threw this trash in the trash where it belongs and I was left like never eating pizza again; yes that’s how bad it was. I wouldn’t even feed this to my dog. 0/5 stars.
