The most authentic Chinese BBQ I had in the state!! Everything I ordered is delicious, my favorite: eggplant, oysters and whole squid, oh and the fried rice! 绝对正宗，来就对了！

This restaurant is truly love at first bite! The ingredients are fresh, and the grilling is done to perfection—each skewer is full of aroma and juicy flavor. I especially enjoyed their chicken wings; simply seasoned but incredibly delicious.

Khan Skewers is fantastic! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly grilled. The waiters are incredibly friendly and even remember our favorites every time we come, which makes each visit feel extra special. Great service, great atmosphere—highly recommend!

The beef and lamp skewers are the best I had in Hawaii. The oysters grilled at the perfect temperature. Also really recommend the mushroom with vermicelli dish. Spicy level is perfect. We finished everything on the table, nothing left.

Really good food. Came here the 2nd day on Oahu and decided to come back again right before we leave! Like the beef tongue, lamb and clam the most. The others are also really good!

Khan Skewer Restaurant is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Chinese skewers in Hawaii. Every skewer I tried was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection — especially the lamb and beef, which were incredibly juicy.

I've tried all the star on the menu, and they're all delicious! I'd love to eat them again next time I come to Hawaii!

Khan Skewer Restaurant is hands down the best food I’ve had during my two-month stay in Hawaii. I’ve eaten at so many different restaurants during my time here, but this place is truly on another level 20/10 food! Everything was incredibly flavorful and fresh, and the service was just as amazing as the food. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t regret it!

✅20250117 very good. Very filling. Order slowly/staggered. Green onion pancake. Taro pancake. Lamb fried rice (I liked it! My first time having lamb fried rice!) Mongolian naan (thicker and crispy shell with powdered cumin topping) was good. Pork belly skewers. Whole shrimp. Chicken thighs. Portabello skewers. Grilled Eggplant dish was amazing! My fave out of all the dishes. Ordered all mild but still had a slight kick to it but not overbearing. Beef skewers with normal spice Homemade pineapple spicy condiment & chili powder complimentary for dipping. Complimentary shared dessert of snow fluffy milk ice with choice syrup topping chocolate, melon or pineapple. Excellent tag team service. Everything was delicious & served in perfect temp! Limited free shared parking lot. Takes credit cards. Bathroom key needed to go outside and around the back for access. Definite recommend. 👍👍

This is the best barbecue I’ve had anywhere in the U.S. so far.

After years of driving by this restaurant, my wife and I finally stopped in for dinner. And boy am I glad we did. There’s a lot of options on the menu and the skewer format allows you to easily share with others. We decided to order the green onion pancake, dried bean curd with cilantro, salt and pepper corn, beef tongue and pork belly skewers, and fried pork. Everything was quite tasty with the different seasonings and Thai chili pineapple sauce which is delicious. The service, food and atmosphere here were great. And to our surprise, all meals come with a complimentary fluffy ice dessert. We got the lychee which was the perfect ending. We learned that you can bring your own booze too for a $25 per table corkage fee. And love the fact that they have tons of free parking. Check them out the next time you’re in the University area. We made a reservation and was allowed to get in early. Had beef, lamb, chicken gizzard, and pork with enoki for skewers. The spice of the skewers was very good and classic Chinese style. The special pineapple sauce was surprisingly good. We also ordered century egg with tofu and scallop. Really enjoyed the tofu and its sauce. Scallop was a bit too mild but still okay.

The service was a bit slow when it was packed but the food came out fast after we ordered. We had the food week tasting menu and it was sufficient for 2.

Their skewers were perfectly grilled, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite had the perfect balance of seasoning and tenderness, especially the beef tough and pork skewers. The side dishes complemented the meal beautifully, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive and friendly. If you’re a fan of expertly grilled skewers and bold flavors, this place is a must-visit!

Heard this place from a sales during the day and decided to give it shot. Definitely not disappoint. Not sure if it is because Hawaii, their meat quality really exceed my expectation, especially chicken and lamb. Only complaint is that the parking entrance is kinda easy to miss at night so try to drive slowly if it is your first time here. They have spectacular service. But food is even better. I have tried beef, lamb, pork jowl and chicken cartilage and wings. They are all pretty good! Wings are my favorite following with beef and lamb. Classic cumin/spicy flavor are quite well done. And their lamb doesn’t actually have that bad “lamb” taste. Garlic clam is fresh and clean. The garlic taste is right on point and the rest of soup goes well with rice! Will definitely consider a second visit.

Really enjoyed this place. The food was delicious, especially the grilled skewers — well-seasoned and cooked perfectly. Everything came out hot and fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was quick even though it was busy. The atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for hanging out with friends. Definitely a great spot if you’re craving skewer. I’ll be coming back again!

I love this place. I love Northern Chinese Bbg. To me the food is different. In a good way. I used to go to similar restaurant in kapahulu but I think this one is better. Very unique and very tasty.

Wow amazing! Everything tasted soooo good. Flavorful, tender, juicy. If you love the taste of cumin like me, you're gonna love it here! Chinese bbq is one of my favs type of izakaya / bbq style because I just love the bold flavor. This place knows how to cook it. Nothing was chewy or overcooked or over seasoned! My top choices are the beef tongue, lamb, king mushroom, chicken gizzard and heart. Also try their seafood too! Abalone, scallops and oysters. Fresh and yummy! Their complimentary shave ice was delicious too! The ice was soft and the honeydew and brown sugar flavor both tasted good. The restaurant was so generous with that and it really sealed the deal for me for giving them 5 stars. Paid parking lot. you can pay on the app or website. $3 flat rate. Restaurant wasn't busy on a Saturday night. I was surprised coz food is so good here. Regardless we made a reservation before coming in just to be safe. Definitely will be back and bring some friends too.

Food is delicious! It’s my son’s favorite restaurant in Honolulu. We like the garlic lobster tail, asparagus, beef, crawfish, lamb, eggplant, salt and pepper corn, passion fruit bowl, chicken wings, chicken skin, the sauce, and the service.

I loved everything we ordered! I recommend the brisket and the scallop vermechili, and the egg plant and chives if you are feeling vegetable. Lots of people at the restaurant so make sure you make a reservation

Came for Thanksgiving dinner, authentic Chinese BBQ, love the beef tongue, eggplant and oyster! They have pineapple sauce for the BBQ which perfectly add Hawaiian flavor into the traditional BBQ. Nice service for pregnant client!

Very authentic Chinese skewers, just the right amount of crispiness and flavor. I like lamb and beef, chicken skin, chicken cartilage and eggplants. These dishes are all amazing. Every order comes in 3 skewers, priced at about $8-10, which is on the expensive side.

Greeted immediately as we walked in the door. Waitress was very helpful. This was our first time here. I am so glad I found this place. The food is top notch flavorful. The parking was easy. The waitress was very informative of the food. My husband and children were very satisfied the pineapple sauce was delicious don’t be fooled by the looks and atmosphere. Place is very small but the chef knows what he’s doing. The food is the best I’ve had in a restaurant I have never had food that perfect. My favorite dish was the eggplant. The chicken wings were one of the best I’ve had at the restaurant. I look forward to coming back here.

Great authentic Chinese BBQ! We really enjoyed the flavor and texture of the lamb skewer! They have a special pineapple dipping sauce, excellent addition to the already delicious food! Service was great too!!! One of the best Chinese skewers restaurants in the US!

THE FOOD WAS GREAT! My wife, 18mo old daughter and I went to Khan’s around 8 one night and found parking on the street right in front. We were added to the waiting list and maybe 10 minutes later were seated. And then they forgot about us… 10-15 minutes passed before we flagged someone down to serve us. After ordering we once again were lost to the wait staff. When offered service they were very kind and apologetic. I will concede that it was a packed house and possibly short handed. They also added a garlic edimame on the house. The food did make up for it. We had a little bit of each skewer, mostly spicy. Venison is the way to go but I’m guessing you can’t go wrong. AND DO NOT MISS THE Mongolia Special Fried Rice. If you have these two items along with the fluffy milk ice at the end of the meal, the visit will be worth it. The meal ended with a thud because the bill had items that we didn’t order. All of this said, the food was great and WILL most definitely give them another chance!

Everything about our experience was outstanding. The skewers were perfectly grilled. They were juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. We also enjoyed the lobster and seafood, which were incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared, making the meal feel extra special. A huge part of what makes Khan Skewer shine is owner Fiona Yang. Her attention to customer service is exceptional; warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can feel the care she puts into every detail, which really elevates the entire dining experience. One of the highlights was their signature tower drink; a fun and refreshing showstopper filled with fresh fruit. I love that you can enjoy it with alcohol or as a non-alcoholic juice. And don’t miss dessert! Their snow shave ice was the perfect ending. I had the passion fruit, and it was light, refreshing, and delicious. It’s exciting to see Khan Skewer celebrating their 4-year anniversary this January, especially at a time when many restaurants are struggling. Even more exciting; Fiona will be opening a new concept, Khan Restaurant, in March. Clearly, she and her Chef Husband are doing something right. Highly recommend and can’t wait to see what’s next!

The food was excellent and the service was efficient. I ordered the chicken gizzard, the Maui venison, and the pork belly with enoki mushrooms wrapped inside. The chicken gizzards with cumin and chili powder were some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The Maui venison was also great, the meat was cooked perfectly tender. And the complimentary honeydew shaved ice was a great way to end the meal. There is a plentiful amount of parking, bathrooms are conveniently located around the corner, and best of all, this place is open until 1 am with Last Call at 12:30 am. 10/10 would recommend if you’re hungry for some Mongolian skewers.

Overall the taste of the food is good, although the restaurant suffers from having too large of a menu. Food comes out at a snail's pace, a dinner took us nearly 1.5hrs to complete, despite simple dishes of fried rice and skewers. (Note, the restaurant is named Khan's Skewers, so one would expect skewers to come out quickly at least). Attached photos are of the pork belly with enoki mushrooms, the beef skewers, and the Mongolian fried rice with lamb. The former two are ok, and in the latter, we only found 1 piece of meat. They hold special deals in which the price is discounted, so please keep note of recent reviews.

A unique dining experience with a focus on skewered meats. We tried the chicken, beef, pork belly, and shrimp. The chicken and pork belly were my favorite. We also really enjoyed the eggplant, fried rice, and taro bun. Service was very good. Parking can be tough, but there’s a free parking lot.

Overall good place to get skewers. The pork, lamb, and venison skewers all tasted great. We mushroom medley and fried rice was good too. The eggplant and dumplings were just ok. Prices at first glance seem to be pretty good, but it turns out the portion sizes are small. It works out if you come here after having snacks and drinks at a more affordable spot.

The food is honestly average. restraunt is really popular in chinese circles. the shrimp was honestly mediocre, tastes dry but with the sauce its much better. Lamb skewer was good. all food was super hot(temp) and a bit hard to eat . Long line but we got in early, call ahead. Th free dessert is good. its a light snowy dessert in 3 flavors. although i was initally skeptical of it, it turned out to be surprisingly delicious. Green scallion pancake is a total scam. too expensive for its extreme averageness

We tried out this skewer place for the first time and it was AMAZING!! Ingredients were fresh and the food tasted great. The servers were super friendly too. They also have this homemade pineapple sauce that matches very well with the skewer. We will definitely come back!

Came here for our Thanksgiving meal and apparently plenty of others have the same idea since they were packed the whole time we were here. The menu is pretty diversed with meat, seafood, and vegetable options. The food is well seasoned without being overly salty. The meat was well done without being too dry or burnt. I would recommend making a reservation. Even with reservations we still had to wait 15 for our table and they turned away quite a few walk ins. Parking lot is small but we had no trouble getting street parking. This is a good place to share food with friends and have a drink or two.

Food was alright.. 2stars. too much fatty in the beef for me. Someone else might love that. Price was fair. Comes with free shaved ice which was good. Service 1star. Servers dont know what kind of beer theyre serving on tap... lager/pilsner/malt/ipa etc.. took our order and never asked if we needed anything else. You can stand in 1 spot and see every table. Yet they took 14+mins to ask if we wanted more food/drinks after we were completely done with everything... just sittin there waiting. Atmosphere 1 star. Music is ok. They have 3 tvs but not really playing anything interesting kind of a waste of 3 tvs... wouldnt come back
