We were pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food is and the service couldn’t have been better. You can’t go wrong with the homemade pizza where even the sausage is made in-house. The wings were also really good. We’re from California on a road trip through the east coast and Guiseppe’s has made it to our list of restaurants to return to and we look forward to our next visit!

Got sausage, peppers and onions sub which came with a side. I had potato salad and my wife got macaroni. The sausage and salads were made on premises and was good . The sub was toasted perfect and was plentiful. I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or pizza which I have taken out several times

Food was excellent very good size portion. Had lasagna and chicken parmesan. Chicken was big cooked just right crispy on the outside tender on the inside. Lasagna has homemade sausage in it. Dessert was awesome lava cake and peanut butter pie. Staff was attentive and courteous

The French onion soup was very tasty great broth and lots of onion and cheese. The mozzarella sticks were standard. Nothing special. The pizza crust was fluffy and light, the sauce was not over powering and the cheese could've used a little more but overall great service and good food.

Went here for a Christmas party. The servings seemed very generous, with almost everyone in out group getting a doggy bag. Many also got dessert to go, so they could enjoy without feeling stuffed.

My daughter and I absolutely loved Guiseppe's. The server was super nice and helpful, and the food was great. My daughter ordered the eggplant parmigiana and I had spaghetti and meatballs. Generous portions and delicious! What more could you ask for?

The food is amazing. I wanted eggplant parmesan but no restaurant nearby where I live offers a good eggplant parm meal. My husband and I heard about this place but it is almost an hour drive for us. We decided one night that we had some time and we made the drive. It was the best eggplant parmesan that I have ever had. The restaurant was pretty empty and we got the best service from a waitress that we have ever had. She even gave us two loaves of fresh homemade bread to take home and enjoy. This was over a year ago and I realized that I hadn't written a review yet. I always make sure to write a review for my bad experiences but I never seem to write one about my great ones. I've been craving eggplant parmesan and it prompted me to write this. I think we'll be taking the hour long drive again soon.

The food is fantastic, the servings are huge and the staff are wonderful! They make their own sausage (yummy!) and have a huge dessert assortment (plan to have dinner leftovers so you can save room) - what's not to love about all that?

Well we finally made it to Guiseppe's! I can not say enough about the food, service and value! I had chicken marsala and my husband had fettuccini primavera. It was so good and having bread and salad to go with it was awesome. So many restaurants don't do that anymore. We will be back very, very soon!

Wonderful family owned business with a large dining hall for gatherings and events, sperate from the bar out front for ample privacy. Excellent food with a large menu and daily specials. Well worth stopping in for a bite and a drink or a night out!

I just went there to celebrate my birthday and I ordered the chicken parm. It was the best chicken parm I ever had. I bought half of it home it was so much. Was definitely freshly made.I also had cream off broccoli soup which was delicious.The staff there were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be returning

I have only been here 6 or 7 times so please take that into account. I went for lunch with my crew of 4 other men. This is a group rating... The Turkey Bacon Club was great 3 or 4 times. The Mushroom Swiss burger was excellent 4of 5 times. The wings were acceptable everytime. The appetizers were good everytime. The fries were the least consistent... but not bad. The overall prices are decent. Serving sizes are great. Speed was on the slower side but we'll within acceptable... good food takes time. Service was definitely the weakest point at lunch. There were 3 bartenders that are solid 5/5. There were 2 that were 4/5 and one that was just miserable. The 1 miserable bartender almost made the group not want to come back, buy the good food and other servers were worth coming back for. *The owner reached out to me and did everything to understand how to not only make our experience better, but try to make sure every was good for her servers as well! She totally gets customer service and being a great owner/manager! Service was upgraded to 5* after this interaction. Overall, I will definitely be back when I am in the area.

Wife and I were driving around and stopped in for lunch. The burgers were great. I had union rings and my my fire had the fires, Both great. We also shared NE chowder, fantastic. The people by us had pizza, smelled and looked good. Prices were very reasonable and our server was great. Highly recommend

The atmosphere is very unique, The fact that they sell smokes behind the bar and rolling papers should say how country this place is, Don't be fooled by the location or the crowds. The food and the atmosphere speaks for itself. It's not only a good time. It's a great place to eat

Friday night was our first time there. A party of three arriving around 430pm. A large parking lot situated on a small hill surrounds the restaurant. The bar/tavern was full of people, most of whom were eating a meal with their drink. We discovered that arriving early was a good thing. The dining room and the tavern section of this place was pretty full when we left at 645pm. I should mention the dining room is spacious with plenty of room between tables. We noticed several tables had reserved signs. Brenda was our waitress and she was a pleasure. Her recommendations were spot on and she made us feel at home immediately. Did I forget the menu? Wow, I got steamed clams with plenty of melted butter. They were excellent. The French Onion soup had plenty of cheese and was a more reasonable price than nearby restaurants. We each had a small salad. It had fresh head lettuce and a large selection of dressings. Our entrees were lasagna, chicken marsala and chicken piccata.Homemade and delicious describes all of our entrees. We ordered sides of squash that were excellent. It was definitely fresh and homemade. A warm, sliced loaf of white bread with plenty of butter was available to eat during our very short wait time. The beer was ice cold and extremely reasonable prices. We got desserts to go, two eclair cake configurations and a piece of apple cheesecake. The servings of everything were generous. Most of our entrees will be lunch today. So how much? $102.06 Like a lot of places, it makes sense to pay with cash and avoid the additional fee for credit cards. Can't wait to return and try out other menu items.

Went for a luncheon for an organization and the food and service were great!

We "stumbled" upon this restaurant using google maps when we were outside our usual area. We were hungry and it was the closest, so we stopped. We were pleasantly surprised to find it was spacious, clean and busy. The staff were super friendly. Of course the most important point is the food and it was delicious! I had fettuccine alfredo with seafood. I am 60 years old and have had similar dishes many many times, but this was the BEST Alfredo sauce I have ever had! My husband and I decided it would be worth the trip to go a little out of our way to eat here again (soon)!!

The driveway is like new, a great improvement! Always a great pepperoni pizza. Today for lunch I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and macaroni salad which were really good. I'm always pleased with the food here.

I had the chicken parm and my wife had the shrimp scampi. Both of us were very pleased with our meals. The service was excellent and I would consider the price reasonable. We were with friends that we had not seen in a while and were able to linger at the table longer than we probably should have but at no point did I feel rushed to leave. Unless you know exactly where it's at, it would be easy to pass by because it sits up on the hill. The only negative is I'm not sure if I would want to navigate the driveways in bad weather.

This would be the first time we had dinner here. Husband had Chicken Parm, myself the Chicken Marsala. All homemade and soooooo delicious 😋 Waitstaff was friendly and on top of all of the customers' needs. The dining room fills up fast, so get there by 4:30- 5 o'clock

Had an excellent dinner while on a road trip. Googled for places to eat and this popped up and looked promising. It was excellent. A lot of locals and the parking lot was full (always a good sign). We were so excited when everyone recommended Guiseppe's as their go-to dinner spot. Their pizza is some of the best that I've had, the wings are crispy, and the service is always great regardless if you dine-in or take-out. We also have used them for every party we've hosted, (including our wedding party). Our guests are always asking where it's from. I can't tell you how many times I've recommended this place

We have only done pick up for pizza but let me tell you this pizza is beyond amazing. My 3 year old tells me to go to the store to get pizza because its her favorite. We try and get it once a week. Traveling through the area we wanted to try something non-chain for dinner. Tried the pizza and wings because the waitress said they were really good. She didn't lie. Big meat wings, crisply fried with a fairly authentic buffalo wing sauce. The pizza​ had a nice crust, not too thick, not too thin, not chewy, good sauce. I wish we had room for dessert because they looked awesome. The waitress stopped and showed us a piece of the triple layer carrot cake. It was sooo tempting. All the desserts are home made, even the whipped cream they put on top (so I was told).

I had great lunch of burger with fries. It was a great helping. My friend had a huge chicken parmesan sub sandwich that he could only eat half. The fried onion rings were huge! It was a very good meal. Thank you

They don't tell you it is a cash only place until you try to pay your bill. While my food was ok, 3 other people were not happy with theirs at all. Our waitress was kind of slow while people that came in after us had their food well before us.

Food was ok. It took 45 minutes for overcooked wings and the another 45 minutes for tortellini that was just ok. The restaurant was basically empty. The temperature was so cold we never took our coats off, it felt as if we were outside.

NOISY. More of a bar than a restaurant. Prime rib was 50% fat and for approximately $30.00 a pound will not fit most budgets. Was also Luke warm upon arriving tableside.

We grabbed food for takeout after visiting a local river. The mozzarella sticks were good. Prices good. And food came out fast. The egg plant parm, and the stuffed shells wer not good. The shells had like an inch of water on the bottom and the parm was hard.

Food was fair. Price was appropriate. Waitress was pleasant and attentive. Bathroom was disgusting. Toilet was full of poo and it wouldn't flush. Bathroom stall door was missing. They don't take credit cards and no sign telling so. I found out when the bill came.They pointed me to the ATM at the bar as my only option. I will not be going back.

Staff were fantastic, food was mediocre. Had chicken marsala, tossed salad and italian bread. Wine sauce was more like a gravy and not much flavor. Tossed salad was nothing special -- iceberg lettuce with tomato and red onion. Bread was a little stale.

The place was totally packed, which is a good thing. I was with a party of 7 to celebrate my sister's birthday. I had never been to Guiseppe's before, but everyone said the food was great. First of all it took over 2 hours to get our food. I ordered medium rare prime rib n it was raw. I did not send it back because it would have been another 2 hours. It was terrible. My veggies n potato were good, as was the salad. I was so upset as I had been craving prime rib. My husband got the broiled seafood platter n really liked it. My sister n her boyfriend got the prime rib, n there's was good, my sister ordered rare, n believe she got mine, because hers was pink, mine was just raw, she n her boyfriend liked there's, my mom had fish, n said she had had better. The other couple had such a large appetizers, they took their dinners home. I felt if it hadn't been so packed It would have been alot better.

My guest had French onion soup and it was good. I ordered a pizza which was also quite good! NOW, if you like the shake cheese, and you take the top off like I do so you can get some, Check the inside of the lid before you use it. Mine was so nasty, brown, rust or old cheese, I'm not sure. The threads of the glass shaker were also nasty. Needless to say, no shake cheese went on my pie!!! The waiter Wass the guy behind the bar, and not so pleasant. He came over after I had 3 slices and started boxing up the rest of my pizza. I didn't ask, and neither did he. He just showed up and started doing what he wanted to do. You need cash here, and my bill was 37 bucks, so 40 was taken at the ATM, and that's what he got! I am a great tipper, but not with the attitude I got here. He also went off about how much of a certain type of beer was consumed here each week after I had a few sips of a draft pint and stated that it tasted sour. There should have been no comment, and an offering for something else should have been made. I got bottle to eliminate the possibility of dirty taps or lines. Have a great day. I would go back if not for the three issues I had on a first visit.

I have been here numerous times, and it has always been excellent. But last night, Sunday, the Eggplant Parmesan was disappointing. It arrived practically floating in water? Must have been frozen, and reheated. I had to tip the plate several times to try and drain some of the liquid. And the eggplant should have been peeled. It was very tough, and I couldn't cut through it with a knife. Needless to say, I couldn't eat much of it. What happened to one of my favorite places to eat?

For starters, when my family got to the table, it was wet and smelled of old wet sponge mixed with cheesy feet, and the menus were tattered, stained, and ripped up. Not sure why we stayed just from that odor alone. Bartender was eating chicken wings behind the bar (and, personally, from many years in the restaurant biz, not eating in the back instead is a big no-no, especially with messy food) and could not confirm whether or not he washed his hands with soap and water in between serving patrons. Starters took over 30 minutes to get to our table, despite other diners coming in after us and getting their food first. Pizza was undercooked; cream of broccoli soup was reminiscent of bagged soup; bacon forgotten on bacon 'n bleu burger despite server audibly confirming; two undercooked meatballs per spaghetti and meatballs order. Will not be returning. Go a little further into Troy/Albany for better options. Don't settle.

We have always enjoyed Guiseppe's before tonight! Slowest service we've had anywhere. I know things are difficult with staffing for everyone. More than 45 minutes after finishing eating just to get our bill to pay. 20+ minutes after requesting the bill to get it.

I was just there and my first impression of the dining room was not good. No atmosphere, just a plain, dark room with tables scattered about. I ordered the shrimp scampi over linguini which came with a salad, which was okay. The scampi was atrocious. There were about 5 shrimp on a huge pile of overcooked linguini in a greasy, gross sauce. Bread was cheap that tasted like it had been freezer burned. I've had their take out Chicken Marsala which was good but this dish fell flat. I would be willing to try the pizza and get it to go.

There was a band playing so there was a huge crowd. We were there for dinner at 8:00 pm, which took a very long time to order, receive, and retrieve the bill. We flagged down other personnel as we wouldn't see our waitress for over thirty minutes. My husband enjoyed the clams and prime rib immensely. I ate my chicken sandwich, and it seemed fine. Six hours later, I had an eighteen hour bout of gastric distress. Seemed to me to be related. I have waitressed at the very low end and the very high-end, which is why I tip very well, unless it really isn't warranted. I have managed staff at high-end places as well. If and when things didn't go well, we would at least apologize for it. Looking at some other reviews, the issues are not isolated.

30 yrs going here with my family and always fantastic food. The last 4 visits with the new owners in place and each time the food has gotten worse. It’s a shame they didn’t keep Giuseppe’s recipes as they were and as they said they would. I didn’t think it was possible to screw up the incredible carbonara or the chicken piccata but they’ve succeeded and lost us as customers. What a shame.

Passed by on the way to New Hampshire and got a to-go order. Two chicken sandwiches, one with fries, the other with onion rings. They somehow managed to undercook the fries and overcook the onion rings. Fries were a disappointing soggy mess and still hard. Onion rings were slimy on the inside. The sandwiches were not dressed with the tomato, lettuce, and onion as indicated on the menu. The cutlet is so large that it dwarfs the sad bread it comes with. It was basically an open faced sandwich, which was not advertised as such on the menu. So, we got inedible sides and a chicken cutlet on bread. Top 5 worst meals I've ever eaten. Congrats. Should have just stopped at a fast food joint.

We had made reservations for NYE. When we got there we were immediately seated and giving our drink order. We sat for a whole HOUR without getting any more service. When we asked about hour order one said that the larger table of 20-25 had not left yet!! and was putting them behind. although people seated at other table by us were getting there orders. Learn how to handle larger crowds when serving your customers. Very disappointed.!!

After waiting 45 min, Chicken Parmesan was inedible. Manager had lots of excuses but did not adequately compensate us. We walked away with a $35 bill and not able to eat our dinner. Went home and had PB&J. Very disappointing. Would never be able to recommend this restaurant. P.S. this is the first time I have ever written a negative review

It's lunch time. Show up, order drinks and then are informed it's cash only. Owner is only serving sandwiches. Mediocre at best- the make at home save 30 dollar type. Asked for pasta instead, owner said he would not prepare pasta, only sandwiches. Terrible buissness practice.

The chicken I ordered was supposed to be mild wings up being regular fried full of oil chicken the pizza was 24 cut and tasted better the next day.

I really can’t say anything great about the place other then the decor was nice and it was fairly clean if you are going there for the food on the other hand I would not recommend it . I ordered the the seafood pasta dish it said on the menu it had crab in it however when it arrived it was imitation crab meat definitely a distinct difference the waitress acted as if this was no big deal putting that aside the pasta was extremely greasy None of us ate very much and definitely were NOT going to bring the food home with us . I guess this was a trend because I noticed a few other customers had left after a few bites and left the whole dish on the tables as well .

Totally not what we expected it was going to be! Very confusing right from the start, same building 3 entrances. Deli, bar and dining room. No real hostess at all, dining entrance takes you to a type of banquet hall room with a door back to the bar. The bar area was all locals and not very friendly at all! At the end of the bar a dutch door used as a counter for the deli/convenience store. Onto the food, eatable but low level pub food, it filled us up but that's about all! Bartender waiting tables, tending bar and running the deli window. Even after eating here we still have no idea where the real dining area was or how to get a seat in it. It was a real weird dining experience! I guess we were just expecting too much by the name. They should really make it an America Legion post and get it over with! A great place for all the locals from the trailer park!

Cash only but don't worry they just happen to have an ATM! You can pay extra for using it, makes sense doesn't it. Had to send food back it was spoiled. Just a bar trying to be a restaurant. If you're looking for service go to McDonald's, they at least take your card at no extra charge and bring the food out to you.

Giuseppe definitely needs to retire. He is definitely not from Italy or New York City. There is nothing genuine about the Italian food here. Most people up here have never tasted real Italian food so they rated 4.5 Stars. I grew up on it. Sorry Giuseppe but I doubt you exist. What they call tomato sauce is chunks of tomato with no sauce. Even if fettuccine alfredo was horrible. I have never tasted a greasy fettuccine alfredo. This is probably the worst Italian imposter food I have ever had in my life.
