⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We celebrated our 10th anniversary at Eddie V’s and had an absolutely amazing experience. Our server Jordan was wonderful—warm, attentive, and made us feel truly celebrated, even though she’s new. We were surprised with a happy anniversary card, complimentary sparkling wine, lobster bisque, a red rose, and Bananas Foster on the house, which was such a thoughtful touch. As always, the crab cake and filet mignon were perfect, the drinks were great, and the live band PeterSimple never disappoints. Eddie V’s consistently delivers excellent food, service, and ambiance. We’ll definitely be back!

I arrived alone at Eddie V’s 2 hours before closing. I mentioned that it was my 65th birthday that day. I didn’t have reservations, just looking for a place with good food and jazz music. The live jazz music was great. Very soothing. I was treated like a queen. The manager escorted me to a nice table, wishing me a happy birthday.He immediately put a happy birthday card on my table and treated me to a drink. It was sooo delicious as was the food. I had a salmon dish. The prices are very reasonable. But no, it didn’t end there. I was treated to a delicious dessert that had happy birthday written on the plate in chocolate, 3 small desserts, one with small flames coming from it. The customer service was top tier. The vibe was awesome!!!! I can’t thank them enough for making my birthday special. I was alone but I didn’t feel Alone. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be a return customer.

I was there during restaurant week/month and had the lobster bisque, salmon and berries with cream. I also started with a special drink, Hope Diamond, which was a fun drink, and I would reccomend to add sparkling water to the drink, it really added the right touch.

This is perfect for GNO, Date Night, Business Meals or just to treat yourself. I've been several times when they first came to Houston. My BFF wanted a crabcake so we met up for a quick visit. We went on a Thursday night and there was live music!! Im a huge fan of an adult vibe. We sat at the bar and had the best time. Dress code: Nothing less than Smart Casual. I saw lots of sports coats (men), cute dresses (women), but there were some casual looks. No athletic wear was spotted. I worse a white linen button down with black jeans and a heeled sandal. Atmosphere: Dimmed lightning throughout the entire restaurant. Price: You get what you pay for LOL. If this is a first date, you will make a great impression! Food: Crabcake, crabcake, crabcake!!!

Eddie V’s Prime Seafood in Houston was the perfect setting for a much-needed dinner outing in March. I wanted something a bit upscale, with a relaxing atmosphere and a menu that leaned into the ocean—and Eddie V’s delivered. The energy of the restaurant was vibrant yet intimate, and the service stood out from the moment I walked in. I went to the Kirby location. To kick things off, I started with the oysters. Fresh, briny, and beautifully presented, they were a refreshing way to open the evening. Served chilled on a bed of ice with classic accompaniments, they disappeared from the table faster than I expected. I would absolutely order them again. Next, I moved on to the yellowtail. Light, clean, and subtly buttery, it was a standout appetizer for me. The yellowtail had just the right balance of citrus and salt, complemented by the delicate plating that made it as beautiful as it was flavorful. For the main course, I went with their signature Chilean Sea Bass, and I can't recommend it enough. It was perfectly cooked—silky on the inside with a caramelized miso glaze that added a savory richness to every bite. It came served over a bed of lightly sautéed vegetables that brought the dish together nicely. This was, hands down, my favorite part of the night. I didn’t have dessert this time, but honestly, I didn’t need to. The flow of the meal and the depth of flavor in each course left me more than satisfied. The team at Eddie V’s made sure the night went smoothly from start to finish. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, and I never felt rushed. He also offered me a complimentary glass of champagne; which was nice. All in all, Eddie V’s provided a classy yet approachable seafood experience. Whether you’re a Houston local or just visiting, I recommend making a reservation and treating yourself to their sea bass. It's a dish I’ll be thinking about for a while.

I came here to celebrate my birthday which happens to fall on New Year’s Eve. The service was wonderful and everything we ordered from food to drinks came out perfect in a timely manner. When I originally booked we were given a time limit but on the actual day we weren’t rushed out and ended up being there past that time limit. Possibly because it was slow during this time and we were set up in the bar area but it was nice to take our time to eat and order. My cocktail of choice was a lemon drop made with Don Julio blanco. I specifically ordered the Ribeye (cut in half is sausage this big hunk of meat with my sister) cooked medium which is always cooked to perfection. For my sides I had the augratin potatoes, crab fried rice, lobster mashed and truffle mac! All were good per usual except the lobster mashed it was not the same as the other location, it lacked seasoning and was less cheesy as usual. They brought out my birthday cake and complimentary banana foster cake with a beautiful birthday wish written on each! Loved this and the banana foster cake was huge compared to what I usually get! I loved they had a new years photo op outside I took advantage of using. Thank you guys for making my birthday special and accommodating my party size for my special day! Truly means a lot especially since the other location was not willing to accommodate. I always choose Eddie V’s to celebrate my birthday every year as they never disappoint and our my favorite steakhouse in Houston. Thanks again.

From start to finish, Eddie V’s exceeded all expectations, offering not only top-tier food but exceptional service. Out of all the steakhouses in Houston that my wife and I have been to this year, this one takes the cake. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and our waiter was knowledgeable about both the steak and seafood menus, providing great recommendations. The ambiance was just right—elegant but comfortable, making it perfect for both casual and special occasions. We wanted a private booth and we got just that. Equally impressive was the seafood. The lobster tail was cooked to perfection—sweet, succulent, and tender, with a rich, buttery flavor that needed no adornment. The scallops were equally outstanding—seared to a golden brown, with a delicate, slightly sweet flavor that paired beautifully with a light citrus sauce. The entire seafood tower and caviar were just excellent. Not a single item fell short. The crab cake was an actual jumbo crab cake with crab and little breading unlike most places and it tasted delectable. The lobster tacos were delicious. If you love seafood, this place does it justice. The crab fried rice were equally delicious and thoughtfully prepared, making it an excellent accompaniment to both the steak and seafood. I do feel like the lobster bisque was while good it could have had more pronounced lobster taste. The banana foster butter cake was delicious and not overly sweet. Couldn’t forget about the Golden Hour cocktail. Wow, will definitely be back for another. Overall, Eddie V’s is a true gem. The combination of perfectly executed steaks, high-quality seafood, and impeccable service makes it one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. It’s our favorite so far this year out of the dozen steakhouses in Houston we’ve been to and service has been the best as well. Brandon exceeded the bar. Whether you’re in the mood for a juicy steak or fresh lobster, this place delivers. Highly recommended.

We came to Eddie V’s for the first time on my husband’s 40th birthday. Everything - from the moment we walked in the door until the moment we walked out the door - was absolutely incredible!! We had the choice of sitting near the live music or in the main dining area; we chose live music. The band was terrific, and it was at a good volume: not too loud or too soft. Our server brought an appetizer sample to each of us since it was our first time dining there, and it was delicious!! We ordered the crab cake appetizer, and the crab just melted in our mouths. It was wonderful. There were four of us, and we ordered two sides for the table (sides are served family style) alongside our entrees - which was a perfect amount. We thought it was so great that the restaurant’s lemons have little nets on them so the seeds don’t fall onto your food or into your drink when squeezed. I ordered the Filet Medallions Oscar Style. My steak was perfectly cooked (medium), and the crab on top of the steak, again, was light and fluffy. My niece had the Chilean Sea Bass, and she adored it. My sister-in-law had the Georges Bank Scallops which she said were amazing, and my husband had the South African Lobster. He said it was heavenly. Hot, damp hand towels with lemon squeezed onto them were brought out before dessert for us. They felt SO amazing!! We decided on two desserts for the table: Creme Brûlée and the Meyer Lemon Tarte. Both were truly exquisite. The manager also sent out a Bananas Foster Butter Cake on the house with “Happy Birthday!” written in chocolate on the plate for my husband (but we all shared it; it was DIVINE!!). Our water glasses remained filled throughout the evening, and the restaurant was fantastic at removing empty plates as soon as they popped up. The restaurant comped my sister-in-law’s cocktail - the Hope Diamond - because it took a long time coming out, and I asked our server about it. That was very kind of them. We were constantly checked on throughout the evening but not in a badgering way. It was courteous. The manager even came by. Also: there were no screaming children (just so you know). I HIGHLY recommend Eddie V’s for any and all special occasions you may have. We were all EXTREMELY impressed!!

Last night wasn't too good for us. Seeing that I am a person who loves HOT food (temperature), I wasn't pleased. Previously, (a different location) I fell in love with Eddie V's. I will go back to the City Centre location next time for sure

Have been to this location several times, and had great experiences. This time, the experience was not so great. We had reservations and had noted we were celebrating a birthday. Normally, the location goes the extra mile and provides a decoration for the celebration. This time, we were just seated. Food was as expected, however, asking for MR Ribeye and it coming out MW was a bit upsetting. Even though they had replaced it, the damage was done as everyone else was finished eating by that time. Maybe ask the guests to cut into the steak before leaving? Maybe I should have been more aware of this, especially since when our food was out, they didn’t know which guest ordered what entree. Expected just a little more for a fine dining experience…

Here's the thing—If you are used to experiences to the likes of other high end restaurants in the area, such as Brasserie 19, Zanti, State of Grace, and even Steak 48...I would skip Eddie V's. The quality of the food is sub-par compared to others on many different levels. Warm caviar... not served over ice. Steak tartare with an incredibly metallic taste. The Cheesecake Factory has better bread service. We didn't even make it to ordering a main course. I'm a firm believer that good meals and quality service should be accessible to absolutely everybody, no matter the area or price point. However, you should always get what you pay for, and unfortunately, if it wasn't for our waiter who was incredibly kind, this review would have one less star. If you want to save the money, just go to Hill Stone or Salt grass.

Beware, dont waste your money, severely overpriced for average to below average food. Ordered filet and lobster, filet was so raw you couldn't even chew it, tasted awful, allmost needed to be checked for a disease. Lobster was dry, tasteless and looked and tasted old. The oysters are the smallest I've ever seen and for that price you would think you'd get decent sized ones at least. I had pain in my stomach and indigestion for 3 straight days afterwards, felt like food poisoning. Horrible experience overall, waitress kept knocking over my glass too. Ended up spending almost $500 for a regrettable experience and to top it all off I parked in their parking, it said 2 hours free, its a trap, dont park there, got a $90 parking ticket in the mail by this shady parking company called PRRS, I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. The signage was terrible, nothing clear, no gate or guard on duty, left thinking its not being enforced if i stayed a little over the 2 hours, silly me to walk into that trap, and the only reason I stayed over the 2 hours was because of the slow service, which maybe it was deliberate. I won't be going there EVER again, not Eddie Vs or any other establishment part of that complex. If you don't want to feel robbed and sick at the same time, stay away, avoid that place like the plague.

What a HORRIBLE experience. I am apart of the LGBTQ community. I would hope that this isn’t the reason the following events happened, but I must say it is questionable being Eddie V’s are supposed to set high expectations. It was a party of two for a special day. My fourth year anniversary. In the beginning everything was great.. until my wife’s seabass came out lukewarm to cold. She expressed she was hungry and don’t worry about it. So to make sure our night wasn’t ruined, I didn’t say anything. Then my steak comes. I ordered my steak Medium. I cut it and it was well done. Me and my wife had another set of events to go to after leaving, and it had already taken a pretty long amount of time for our food to make it. Even the sever was like .. oh yes so sorry that’s definitely well done. I asked to speak to the manager. A bald gentleman came by the table and asked would I like it remade. I had a side of truffle fries as my side. I expressed that I would not have time for a remake because we had other places to go for our anniversary. He made a point to not only make it right for a future visit, but take away everything from the table including the truffle fries as if he didn’t want me to enjoy anything else in our last moments there. I was upset by that. Because of me being upset, I expressed my concerns to another manager.. her name was Tommy. She was extremely sarcastic. And let me know with so much pleasure there is nothing else they Alan do with the biggest sarcastic smile on her face. This treatment is unacceptable for anyone, but for someone who has sung the praises of Eddie V’s and sent this location so much business I am highly offended and disappointed. I spent well over 200.00 with the top included and left starving. I hope they treat future guest better. This was a horrendous experience. The management team this night on 12/13/2025 failed me and my wife as their guests, and RUINED our special day.
