The United lounges in Houston are so so. The staff is generally very nice and helpful. It's usually busy, with no seats available but other days you can luck out and catch it when it's slow. The food is never good really, especially compared to other United lounges around the country. It seems like there would be a national standard for food service, but that isn't the case at all. Of course the coffee stations are all the same and the bar service is always friendly.

I found this lounge to extremely hospitable staff and a great variety of food and amenities offered. HOWEVER, there are 2 things that could be improved upon.🫤 *** THE LACK OF chaise lounge chairs, ones with a reclining option was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING FOR A V.I.P. LOUNGE!!! I have a 7 hour layover. There are too many same sized chairs crammed in here, you feel like sardines. Idk WHO designs these lounge layouts, but you could take advice from the VIP Lounge in Ecuador. 🇪🇨 They are a 3rd world country and their lounge outshines this in every way. All the little classy aesthetics they have, the design layout, the VARIETY of options for chairs and lounging!!! Big beautiful fake plants. It’s a very RELAXING atmosphere!!! When I inquired here, they said all of the lounges were the SAME!!! 😳🤦🏻‍♀️😫Whyyyyyy would you ever do that??? Offering a variety in lounge styles, ENHANCES the travelers experience and encourages them to explore the other lounge options, within United. Having experienced something far superior, I can only demise that the designer has sub-par standards for excellence. The bathrooms here are HORRENDOUS!!! They could not be more depressing if they tried!!! They are dark and gray in concrete tones, completely void of any color. Literally, I expect bathrooms in a club or V.I.P. lounge area to be more aesthetically pleasing than the public restrooms down in the terminal. So in this regard, they were extremely disappointing. Why not dress it up in the calming cool colors of blue for United Airlines??? Overall, I found this lounge to be sub-par and overall disappointing.

I’ve been to several United clubs throughout the US. I would say this one is about average, not a ton of food choices. Also, they were trying to not accept the one time passes, which I think shouldn’t be allowed. If you have a pass, you should be able to use it guys! But the lounge area is nice and large with multiple sections for seating, working, dining, and relaxing.

Houston Terminal E United Club is average, very limited selection of food and no self-service soft drinks. Tables take long time to be cleaned and made available for next passengers. United Lounges at other terminal and cities definitely seemed much nicer?

The sign said they were not accepting any -one time passes, but they kept taking a lot of people they said because They had limited space however they were still taking other people except just not the one time passes, which is kinda unfair because not a lot of people get to trouble often. therefore that do not get to experience the school lounge. We did go back in an hour and it was available and I have to say it totally worth it, exquisite food and freshly made food, healthy items and juices and coffee.

Food definitely was not great, thats a fact lol But the soup was good though. You could find both hot and cold plates, coffee and juices, fruits, chips, and cheese plates. Wifi is stable, and a large area in gereral to wait for boarding.

The United Club was not what I expected. The food selection was way below what I was hoping for, and overall it didn’t feel like the quality matched the price or the brand. The seating was just okay—not very comfortable, and I wish the layout was better. The servers inside were polite and helpful, but the staff at the front desk could use a bit more training for this type of environment. The check-in experience didn’t feel very welcoming. Overall, it wasn’t the best lounge experience, and I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to use this location again.

All I can say is I’m embarrassed to be from Houston because of the way the front desk treats passengers. You would think they would be courteous and pleasant. Not at all. Walmart greeters are more pleasant….sorry Walmart. People from different places all over the world come here and experience the rude dismissive behavior and must think that’s how we all are.

So, if you’re at HIS and really want to relax, Terminal D is where it’s at - long comfy couches to stretch out on - nearby spa, carpeted floors and sort of private areas to do yoga - skip the United club come to D1 and these gates nearby

Paying almost $700 a year for a United Club membership and I’ve been denied entry twice due to their system issues. Both times I had to call customer service just to get access. Standing there explaining that I actually paid for the membership is embarrassing and a complete waste of time. A premium membership shouldn’t come with repeated hassles at the door. Definitely disappointing.

Worst club experience, they take food down and close bar 20 min before “actual” closing time. Televisions are 10-20 years outdated. It only takes $300 to put better TV’s. And food keeps getting worse. There are better club experiences for the same price.
