Brew shops are far and few between. Farmboy was clean, neat, and organized. I visited early on a Sunday, where there were like-minded people. Little did they know that I had a purpose, being a reporter for a well-known publication, I'm pleased to report that we were very happy. CHECKS IN THE MAIL

They have everything you need for home brew whether you're a starter or a pro. Supplies for beer, wine, cider and liquor. There were a couple things they didn't have but they were just not in stock at the moment. I was surprised when most of what I needed was cheaper here than online, same brands or same quality brands at least. Not that there's many options but this is the best beer shop in Houston.

I had a great experience here! I needed to fill my CO2 bottle when it developed a leak I didn't catch. Since it was. Friday I called to ensure they were open and what I was needing done. When I walked into the store I was greeted by Mike who was finishing up with a customer. Service was prompt, and since I am new to the home brew scene I had a ton of questions. He answered all of them and enjoyed some casual conversation along the way. I found him to be personable and the store appeared well-stocked. They have many grains, cleaning supplies, equipment, and many starters for cheese, sourdough, etc. For anyone traveling here for their first time, their shop is between the post office and Stan Cleaners where the sign is missing. It was run into a while back so that is why it's missing.

Landon and his team bend over backwards to help their customers. A few times they have been out of the hops I wanted, but they always recommended a substitute. Not only do they have a great selection of grains, but they can supply equipment and repair parts, everything for brewing beer, and help you troubleshoot your brew when you miss your target. They also sell the stuff to make wine (I know nothing about that) and other fermented things. Their second (Katy) location closed during COVID. Let them know if you'd love to have them back out here!

This brew store is by far one of the most coolest welcoming places to go to get whatever you may need to brew whatever you choose. The people that work there are very accommodating and helpful, and I would never go any other place to look for what I need, except for this store. out of the several times that I have gone to the store they’ve have all almost had everything that I’ve needed almost every single time.

Nice shop, good service. Got a couple of tanks changed out and had a little chat with the guys, seem very knowledgeable. Their prices are the same as Amazon for brewing supplies, if they don’t have it they’ll order for you. Spend local! (The shop is tucked into a strip center with minimal signage so you have to look for it.)

Drove over to visit for the first time and it’s closed. They are moving to 4816 Shepherd but we went there and it’s not open yet. Will try again soon.
