The empanadas are the best ones here, hands ✋️ down!! ✨️Fresh, hot and meaty- And we ordered the small Bandeja Paisa and it was so delicious but I couldn't finish it. But enjoyed the leftovers later. I used to come here all the time as a little girl with my parents- hadn't been in almost 15 years. A lot bigger, nice big tvs everywhere and great waitresses 👏 🇨🇴 ❤️
La Fogata is truly a standout! The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was delicious, bursting with flavor in every bite, and you can tell care goes into each dish. The ambiance ties it all together—warm, inviting, and perfect for a memorable meal. Highly recommended!
This is a very casual, easy going place to go to have delicious Colombian food, rich in southamerican flavour, great friendly service. We had empanadas, fresh juices, Banderas Paisa and LA Fogata plate, all delicious. Recommended!
I recently had the most incredible dining experience at La Fogata Restaurant, and I can confidently say it's a true gem for authentic Colombian cuisine! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by a wonderful, casual Latin American vibe that made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is fantastic, with great tunes and plenty of seating, creating a truly enjoyable dining environment. The food at La Fogata is simply outstanding. Every dish I tried was prepared exceptionally well and tasted absolutely delicious. The flavors are incredibly authentic, and the portions are wonderfully filling. I especially loved the homemade tortillas – they added such a fresh and genuine touch to the meal. And let me tell you about the flan… OH. MY. GOSH. It was hands down the most delicious dessert I have ever tasted, a true masterpiece! The service was equally impressive. All the servers were incredibly nice, attentive, and always smiling, making sure that every table was well taken care of. They were very helpful with recommendations and ensured my cold beer was always topped up. The prices are fair, especially considering the incredible quality and generous portions. La Fogata Restaurant has quickly become a hidden spot for me, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone craving an authentic and delightful Colombian dining experience. It truly hits the spot every time, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
This is our hidden spot! Food always hits the spot! Never a bad meal. Everything is always yummy! 😎🤘 Service is always great. All the servers are nice and always smiling. Very helpful on the items too. 🥳 The spot has a great vibe too. Great tunes and plenty of seating. Definitely coming back! The photos are from home (got it to go) the mini empanadas de pollo are great too.
This place has been on my radar for a couple years. Today was the day we finally gave them a try, after trying their Colombian cuisine I thought i should have gotten here sooner. My wife loved her fajita de pollo, came with fried plantains, rice and beans, the chicken fajitas had strips of bell pepper and onions. I loved the Bandeja Montanera, grilled top inside round beef steak, a seasoned strip of fried pork belly, a fried egg on top of a mound of rice, red beans and a slice of avocado. They do a lunch menu monday thru friday from 11 am to 3 pm. You can get the lunch menu, both things we ordered were from the lunch menu, for a couple dollars more, any day, any time after lunch hours. We shared everything as always.....including an Empanada de Res, filled with beef, potato and rice, with a corn shell/crust, fried up to a golden crisp. I think every country in Central and South America has their version of the empanada. Very nice people and great food. We will be back.
First time visit to this location. We had a great experience. No issues. Service was prompt. Drinks served on time. Food come out quickly. Our waitress checked on us often. Location was clean. Restrooms were nice and tidy. Parking was a bit difficult since there are a lot of business there. We got a Bandeja Paisa and 3 empanadas. The bandeja was great. The empanadas were a bit different then the usually Colombian empanadas we are use to getting. Regardless all was well overall. We wood definitely visit again.
I went in on a suggestion from a friend. It was clean and the waitress was incredibly nice. I tried the beef empanadas and they were fantastic. I also tried the Bandeja Montañera, i was so surprised at how well everything went with each other. I will definitely be returning in the near future.

Amazing authentic food, great service, prices are really good, have been going there for about 12 yrs
Stopped in for lunch. It was great a very fresh salad. Place was clean. Even bathrooms. I saw other food being served looked and smelled great. Nice waitstaff. Would come again.
This is our family's spot (well, really the wifey and I)...I take that back. My 7yo loves this spot too. My 10yo...it's growing on him. Everything is great here! Empanadas are always yummy. We get…
Good food preparation was extremely good. Servers were like 8 and they all work every table. No one here is Colombian maybe except the owner and maybe the cook. The food is good and it’s all that matters. We wanted to tell the owner how much we loved the food but he refused to come greet us or the server never told him. The prices are very high for Colombian food but I guess it’s post pandemic lifestyle now at days. We will be trying this place again in the near future.
Good solid Colombian restaurant. Only reason why I gave it a 4 was there are other Colombian places where we get the Bandeja Paisa, and this had the least flavor out of the others we typically go to.…

A little bit high on price point but I feed a family of 4! The service is very friendly and great Colombian food! A must try a least once if you are in the area. The restaurant grade gets a solid B+

2025 I went back with my colleagues. The food is better for me this time around. I ordered the same dishes. There is no cheese on the plantains this time. The food was okay. It was my friend’s and my first time. We ordered the empanada (the outside is hard, not soft like the other ones I’m used to), plantains (never had it with cheese before), bandera montañera, fajitas de pollo, and mango drink with milk. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
The food is authentic and a mix. Unfortunately, my Churassco was not medium-rare. It was very well done, over-cooked and tough. The rest of the plate was average. Love Columbian food and was anxious to try, but will not be going back.
It was good but It’s not the same as it was 20 plus years ago. I found out the original owner passed away. 🙏🏻 The waitress was very attentive.
I really like this place more for the service and atmosphere than the food. My party agreed that the food could have been more flavorful. We ordered the following... 1 La Bandeja Paisa - the beans could have been more flavorful. They were plain. La Carne asada was plain and tough. 2. El Trio- the chicharron was nice, crispy but soft. 3. Sopa de Mondongo - No complaints, it came with a lot of rice, so a plus imo 4. Arepa con todo - the Carne asada lacked flavor and was tough. 5. The empanadas were great! And the salsa, Aji, they come with was delicious too. So as before, the service was great, just like the atmosphere, but the food brought the whole experience down.
I used to go to this place often, but after the remodel, not that much.\nIt looks clean but cold. I ordered ox tail soup (big size) with a lot of potatoes and 2 tiny ox tails. NO refills in your dr…
I had high hopes for La Fogata’s food, but unfortunately, I didn’t even get the chance to enjoy it. The service was appalling; they seated us and left us waiting for 20 minutes without even asking for a drink. To make matters worse, the ventilation was poor, and the food smell lingered even though I didn’t even try it. I hope my experience provides management with valuable feedback on how to take service and hospitality more seriously and address this issue constructively.
I have live in Houston for the last 48 years been In different Colombian restaurants where the Food is Delicious. I went to La Fogata and ordered A fresh juice with water, by surprise the FRUIT was missing ,plus 3 meat empanadas they were horrible they had no seasoning or salt !!!! And of course, I ending in returning the juice and the other two empanadas. Here you can see that only one empanada and a Colombian soda they charge me $7.20 plus My tip of two dollars with a total of $9.20!!! My God, I paid all that for one HORRIBLE EMPANADA and one soda that I didn’t even drink ,OUCH!!!and not only that They told me if I ordered something else, I won’t be able to return it no matter what …. .We have good Colombian restaurants for example MI PUEBLITO…please go to try our REAL COLOMBIAN food where you get tried with RESPECT and without DISTRUST.
