We absolutely love love love PopFancy!!! We recently went for their 80’s retro cafe & arcade theme and they legit nailed it! From the decor to the menu, 10/10 HOU need to go!!! I do recommend buying a FastPass on their website for weekend visits bc it does get busy, but admission and parking are both totally FREE. The FastPass is strongly encouraged but not required. If you are reading this, trust me, go check it out! It’s so fun!!! @thathoustonmom
This was a really fun place to visit! I saw the story on Houston Life (NBC channel 2) today and told my granddaughter the current theme (80s sci-fi) and she couldn’t wait to visit. We had upside down shakes 😋 and played the free arcade games. All the Stranger Things menu items were super-fun. It was fun to see the wall of VHS movies! It felt like a Blockbuster! The movie souvenirs at the registers were nice, too. Retro music was a nice touch as well. We’ll be back!
My family and I had a great time with the 80s/Stranger things theme. My son and sister were all about ST, my mom and I were were there for the nostalgia. Loved the Blockbuster-type Movie wall and the retro arcade games.
I visited this place on a whim last night with my family and over all 10/10 experience. The employees were so friendly and talkative but the decor and menu were just the cherry on top. Will definitely be returning with the fam and can’t wait for what theme is next!!
I have been here for several events. If you go on weekends, reserve a spot ahead of time. The staff is friendly, and the food is very good, with great merchandise to get, and it is a decent place to go on a date for $30. The only weakness is how easily it gets crowded, due to it having a small space. The crew is very professional and kind, and they go all out. From Mario, to anime, to kpop demon hunter, they decorate the restaurant expertly. It is always a fun place to vibe, and many guests, and even staff members cosplay to match the event. It is very easy to get addicted to this place, so have fun and enjoy yourself! Be sure to try a drink and a dinner there sometime! It's almost like you are visiting the game, move, and anime worlds you live in person and having a meal there! Thank you for the experience!
Drinks are good, they also have popsicles, dairy and dairy free. They also have food like sliders and glass noodles and you can purchase labubus, labubus clothes and accessories. In my opinion, Labubus are expensive, $60 dls each. They also have some small labubus for $30 The sotore decoration is amazing!! Good service, good music.
Fun, energetic cafe with you main star "Labubu". I love the cute decorations and displays of Labubu. You can get blind box or choose from one that is already open. While you're waiting in line, you can enjoy good music. I suggest getting a fast pass so you don't wait too long, but the line moves quickly.
They have amazing themes and we usually RSVP so we don’t have a problem with any lines or delays but we have had good expiriences the two times we have gone and the staff is so in character and cheerful! Some of the unfortunate things it’s that it gets super crowded and barely any space but that’s it.
Stopped by in September for the Shoujo Cafe, and this place is SO CUTE !! The Mahou no kisu theme was so pretty, and it made me feel like I was living in my magical girl dreams 💌 It felt like I walked straight into a shoujo manga !! I came around the end of the event on a weekday, so there weren't as many options to choose from; however, the line wasn't very long, and finding seating was so much easier. The food is so yummy and sweet, and the set-up is so instagram and yt vlog worthy ! Staff is also super friendly and sweet :) I can't wait to stop by again \(>_<)/
I haven't been normally but I go to everyone of their pop up dessert bar events and I absolutely love it. They always do a great job with food menu and the decor is always amazing. Staff is super friendly and very patient!. Seating is limited however so big group would probably have a hard time sitting and eating there. But you can get your food to go. Super cute highly recommend
Staff is hard working and they always been nice. The cafe is so much fun! The theme changes often so the food items and decor is fun to see for each theme. I’ve been a few times! The food is very cute and social media worthy. The savory items are typically well flavored and yummy! However, the containers they are served in our always a plain black plastic platter so it knocks down the photo aesthetic slightly. The drink items are usually good but sometimes there isn’t enough flavor. The parfaits are the cutest but it’s just yogurt, cereal, and ice cream so I don’t think it’s worth the price! It’s also a pretty popping place! I try to go on weekday evenings when I’m not working but there are still enough customers coming in so it can be difficult to get a “good” table by all the decorated walls for a good photo. Weekends are very packed!
We’ve been to Popfancy Dessert Bar twice – once during the Japanese bathhouse-style theme 🛁 and another recently during the Labubu Kawaii theme 🐾. Both were creative setups, and our kids especially loved the Labubu decor. The place had a fun vibe with a live DJ 🎧 during our visit. We tried the Cherry Blossom Crystal Boba 🍒 in a blind box, which was a fun surprise. The Taiyaki Paws 🥟 were tasty, and the Taiyaki Sundae 🍨 had nice flavor, though the waffle was a bit hard. They also sell toys and keychains separately 🎁, adding to the cute theme experience. It’s a little pricey 💰, but good for an occasional treat. Gets pretty busy on weekends 🕒, so plan ahead. A fun dessert spot if you’re looking for something different.
This place does pop up themes every now and then and we happened upon their One Piece theme. We ordered their limited edition pirate hunter drink and they creamy avocado pop. I wasn’t a huge fan of their drink but it’s made of a classic honeydew Ramune with whipped cream and a cherry on top. I really liked the avocado pop. It was very creamy, easy to eat. Staff here is friendly.
We came for the One Piece Theme. Great for scenery & nicknacks. The drinks were good & the choices they had were cute. I would say if you’re going for food it is a no. The garlic doe balls were hard & no flavor.. & unfortunately they forgot my Huns pretzel. Other than that- eat before or plan on eating after. They did have dessert choices that looked cute, but we did not get. We came on a weekday so there was plenty of parking & there wasn’t a line, with plenty of tables.
The experience was wonderful. I love resident evil and it was so cool to see all of the decor in person! The food and drink themes were amazing to see put together. I went today, and as a vegetarian it was nice to see a vegetarian option but unfortunately at the time I went, they were out of the nachos : ( I wanted to try them sooo bad it looked delicious. Just wish there was other food choices they could make without thee meats. I loved all the desserts! The clicker cake was yummy and the drinks were alright. Overall good experience and would definitely come back to see other themes.
Came during the stranger things pop up I loved it and all they had. Of course they had a wait room about 35 mins for our items to come out but my biggest complaint is that our waffles was cold . but they had an amazing flavor. The only reason I didn’t wanna complain. I didn’t wanna wait another 30 minutes, but after that, the experience was amazing
It was a okay experience. I don’t think I’ll be coming back, the wait was absolutely awful thankfully it wasn’t a hot Houston day. They should really get a bigger location knowing a lot of people come to “pop ups” like this. The line was so long I felt bad for the other businesses around the line blocked off the doors. Waited for 1hr and 30mins just to be inside for 30mins. The line outside was insane to go inside and find another line just to have a line to wait for drinks / food. I spent $20.00 on two drinks and a $3.00 toy. Stickers themselves were $12.00 insane. It’s to overpriced. They didn’t have much to choose from the menu The drinks were good! It’s such a cute set up inside though that’s why I only give it 3 stars. Cashier left we waited for about 15mins, I was trying to put my number in the system to get my rewards she automatically cancelled it and made me pay. I say a one time thing but never going back.
This place advertises“pop up” for different theme to bamboozle you into just coming and purchasing their overpriced drinks! We went for the KPop Demon Hunters Pop up. All they have are decorations on the wall, menu items (food is subpar) that go along with the theme, and WAY OVERPRICED merch that were probably purchased off TEMU or someplace like that. The thing that made this experience such a bummer is that the employees care ZERO about providing an experience that people enjoy. It’s a KPDH theme but in the 1.5 hours we were there they played ZERO KPDH songs. When I asked the employees, they brushed me off saying “it’s on the playlist”. 💔 No fun trivia, no music, hell!!! I would have taken a coloring sheet. But nothing. The employee told me on the weekends they do more stuff… 🫠🤦🏻♀️ Drinks were not good. Just atrocious in color to fit the theme. Food was a joke. Noodles were probably some instant noodle made to look like it was a restaurant special, they literally served blue dyed rice and spam as a derpy theme. Cute but overpriced and not worth it… There were barely any photo opportunities and some of the main decoration was tucked back by the bathrooms 😬 I hope the owner sees this review and talks with their employees about how they need to serve up expectations when you advertise something as a “pop up” bc this is not worth it. Well eventually when I was throwing away food, I saw the iPad that they were playing music from and look at the playlist and of course there was no KPDH songs on the list. I changed it to play the soundtrack album and the ppl there for the KPDH finally got what they came for! I just want to warn ppl. This place’s “pop up” is utterly disappointing and it’s just a ploy to get you in there to buy their desserts/drinks/food. It’s a marketing scheme. Don’t go!
False advertising and very disappointing. The curry rice looked nothing like the menu photo (supposed to be a cute Miffy, but came as a weird rabbit face in a cheap plastic box). The curry itself was bland and full of carrots. I ordered the Hello Kitty sundae(what they showed in the menu is sundae in Hello kityy pastry), but they gave me ice cream in a taiyaki instead—completely different from the menu and no one told me beforehand (when I ordered it I pointed at the Hello kitty in the menu ). Felt like a scam. Not recommended at all!
