Great quick food! The staff was very helpful in helping me navigate the menu and I'm still full two days later!
Food was good, well priced! The lady behind the counter was so sweet. Very fast service, would eat here again!
Great service. Good people. Great food and very clean. One of the best spots to get kosher, healthy and tasty food in houston
Delicious food at reasonable prices. You can mix and match veggies from one fish and sauce from another dish if you want to customize your meal to your personal tastes.
The Food is sooo Amazing. I eat here all the time and I have never had a single bad meal! Im also a very picky eater. This is a Houston Must try!
Quality, freshly-crafted food. Great service. Clean. Cheerful atmosphere. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Excellent food at a decent price. Nice decorum. The orange peel chicken was very tasty and was served quickly. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly . I highly recommend this place.
Love coming here. Best Chinese and Mexican food. It's funny, I bring my clients here instead of top Houston kosher restaurants.....the food is always on point.
I was in houston for work for a week and I went here 4 nights that week. The service is amazing and the food is amazing. I've been here a few times in the past and tasted quite a few dishes on the menu and I never had food here that wasn't good. Definitely worth it
My favorite place! Usually the Saba’s Spicey Chicken! Sometimes the chicken strips always fried perfectly or the schnitzel sandwich. The tortilla soup is another winner! Josh may be my favorite server but everyone is nice.
Food was delicious and plentiful. It arrived quickly and the server was very helpful
Favorite place to take my mom when she visits! Great selection and lovely staff. I've gotten the fried rice, texas burger, and pad thai here and they were all SO good! The eggplant dip is also to die for! Thank you sabas!!
Food A+. Staff A+ Wait time 5 minutes A+! This place is the best food I’ve ever had. I recommend “sabas spicy chicken” and the beef dumplings. Best meal! They just started carrying Churros ! So amazing!
We brought a group of 25 boys from Machane Dallas(a travelling camp for boys based in Dallas) to Houston and the place we ordered supper from fell through. I went to Saba's and in a half hour we were all taken care of. Delicious sesame chicken and rice, shnitzel and fries enough for 25 hungry teenagers in a half hour's notice! And you know something else... the food was awesome! And....they gave me a great price when I was totally at their mercy! They are real mentchen. Thank you Saba's. You really saved the day.
The best kosher food in Houston!!!! Friendly staff, fresh food and great portions size. Saba's spicy chicken and Pad Thai is off the chain. The shawarma is seasoned very well and very taisty as well.
Owner is super nice, great diverse menu, and everything that I've had was fantastic.
Amazing Chinese food. Better than kosher Chinese I got in NYC. Tacos were good too but the General Tso chicken was the star. Definitely coming back next time I am in Houston
Saba's Grill on Braeswood is a great warm place for Lunch, Dine in ,with friends and family or food to go. It is very clean, comfy, and the food is always fresh and tasty. Nathalie and Oren are always there for providing great service,as well as the entire team. Go Saba's !
Second visit during a non-busy hour to order sushi. Second time I was told the sushi chef was “busy” because there were a couple of rolls ahead of me. For clarity, a roll here is a six-piece maki. This should not require meaningful time. The restaurant was empty. I walked out. No one attempted to accommodate, explain, or sell sushi, which suggests this outcome was expected. It also can’t be explained by pizza production, as the pizza is made on a conveyor belt and, on a one-bite scale, ranks somewhere south of Costco pizza. Either the sushi chef is operating under unusual constraints, or the cashier lacks basic common sense. Either way, the system appears optimized for something other than serving customers.
Very delicious Kosher food! They have a big variety of food. We ordered Fried rice, Lo mein, and wonton soup. All was VERY delicious! The service is ok they weren't rude but they weren't friendly. I'll still be coming back soon!
Coming to Sabas is always a pleasure! Great food, service and atmosphere. The 14oz ribeye is top notch, and the wok is quick and tasty. Great place to bring your family and friends, highly recommended.
Quality food and service! A great place to come for a quick lunch or a nice dinner with the family. The burgers are incredible, and the orange peel chicken from the Chinese menu is great.
Love loved this place! The food is delicious, the staff is awesome. I recommend this place to anyone that can appreciate great tasting food. I will definitely be coming back!
Really good food. The menu is lengthy with a variety of Middle Eastern and Asian dishes. Very clean and neat with modern decor. Casual place good for small groups. The menu covers vegetarian and kosher.
Black couple date night mid week: My wife suggested this cozy spot for date night, she visited prior since I am selective about specific dinning establishment but date night is different attendance is mandatory. I am presently blown away: I ordered Falafel on pita with Israeli shredded lettuce with pickles and hummus, my wife ordered pot stickers [appetizers],dinner portion kale walnut cranberry salad no quinoa absolutely no quinoa. The atmosphere was very clean like no car clean quite with walled tv screens and delicate instrumental music playing. Menu is varied with infusion offerings from asian, jewish, and tex cuisine. Outstanding service yet I ponder if we seemed out of place there. As a newly exploring vegan finding places like this are true gems. I will be returning You should check them out also. You will not be disappointed.
Great food; flavorful and fresh! Amazing customer service! Would definitely recommend
Oh my foodness! I stopped by here on my way from Miami to Arizona to grab a quick bite... and it was AMAZING. I ordered the Jalapeño burger. The staff was super friendly too. Can’t wait to come back!!!
The first restaurant that I dined in since Covid happened. All the staff were friendly and wonderful especially Nathalie who answered all of my questions. The chicken lettuce wraps were delicious and I will return soon! 😀 Felicia Venza
Very good service, and very cozy!
First time having shawarma, always wanted to try it, and was really good. Crispy with a good fat ratio.tye broccoli was cooked good. Going to try the Saba's chicken next time. Get the hot sauce! Not the sirashac, the homemade one
Natalie (the owner) runs a tight ship with well-trained staff, clean surroundings, and the seemingly impossible - a menu that's improved over the years. Check out their affordable lunch special - it's terrific!! Super friendly vibe as well, and food for a variety of palates. Highly recommended.
First time eating here but wont be my last. I had the pepper steak with white rice and can honestly say it was the best pepper steak I've ever had. Its pricey BUT if I want cheap Chinese food there's many places to go to but I wanted Kosher Chinese food and it was worth every penny. The sauce was very good and the steak was cut into big pieces and was enough to fill me up.
I was in Houston on a business trip and heard of this place. I went and had a great time! The food was excellent, so much that I ordered takeout for the rest of my trip. Natalie really made me feel at home. I can't wait to go back!
Clean, modern atmosphere. Healthier alternative to Chinese food. My 3 and 4 year olds love the schnitzel, since they only eat chicken nuggets, the schnitzel here is not greasy and has a tasty crunchy crust with juicy white meat. Portions are big, we always have leftovers so I feel like I'm buying two meals for one. Lunch specials make it easier to order and food comes out fast and hot. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Overall a great place to have Asian/Israeli fused meals, nowhere else in Houston will you find a menu with this variety of options. Best of all is the quality of the ingredients!
The food here is absolutely delicious! My husband and I had lunch here earlier today and we're still talking about how good our meals were - another 5 stars for the pita bread and hummus! We will be back very soon. Service was also fast and friendly - Todah Rabah!
I was at Saba’s this past Sunday for Father’s Day and the food was incredible. I asked for a recommendation and it was delicious. I ordered the Szechuan beef which came with a side of rice (you have the option of white or brown rice). I plan on coming back and trying something new every time. I highly recommend going.
Saba's grill is excellent!! The 1/2 pound burger is amazing! Very friendly staff, very clean and accommodating. I also noticed the Mashgiach supervising the kitchen, which was nice to see. High quality Kosher at reasonable pricing. Thank you Saba's!!!!
Went there with my family and I got the Steak Burger...THAT WAS AMAZING 👏. Still trying to get my other family members to try it out. Great service overall.
All the food (and we ordered several things) was fantastic. The falafel was the best I've ever had. Definitely try the Israeli sampler!! Also, the staff was very kind and food was served quickly and hot. Please open a second location in Pearland!!!
The Mediterranean Chicken Salad is fantastic! Crisp and fresh vegetables with marinated chicken. Will definitely want to try some of the entrees on the menu during my next visit!
The food here - quite simply - is great! Very fresh, very tasty and large portions. Plus, the staff there is incredibly friendly. Would definitely go back again... and again!
First timer. My co-worker only eats Kosher foods and I've never been to a Kosher restaurant so he asked me to join him. The decision was totally worth it. Food and portions were amazing!
Incredible Chinese cuisine superior to the kosher Chinese I had in New York. Even though the tacos were tasty, the General Tso chicken stole the show. Absolutely returning the next time I visit Houston.
Great food! The flavors of the food were excellent. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service was great, attentive without being overbearing. Will definitely try it again.
I am so happy and satisfied with this restaurant! The food is fresh and consistent, and they are FAST! We order for clients and associates all the time via Door Dash and Josh is always sure to communicate of there are any issues. It is so nice to be able to order and get taken care of so quickly and with great customer service. Thank you!!
I enjoyed my experience here! Had a party of 10 and we all were accommodated for in a smooth manner! Rachel was the absolute best! She continued to check in on us, and really went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable! We were really appreciative of her.
The first time I came to Saba's did not have a good experience. I never even got a chance to order because it was late in the day and an Israeli gentleman behind the counter did not accommodate me even though I had called and said I was on the way and would be there before closing. I had giving a very negative review based on that experience. 2 years later I moved and tried again. I was very satisfied with both the food and service. I am chalking up the first, and negative experience to a bad day. I was there today with my son and we had several items on the menu from both the grill side and the Chinese food side. Everything was excellent and the service was very pleasant. I guess it just goes to show every person (or place) deserves a second chance!
Get take-out often and ordered catered food. Really nice owner and staff. Food is always great and everyone is friendly. Never had any issues.
One of my favorite restaurants ever. I have never been disappointed by anything I have ordered. My favorite thing to order is the Pad Thai Noodles. The portions are large and I always have extra for another meal. I highly recommend ordering the hummus. My God daughters adore this place and always ask to come here they love the schnitzel with fries!
Amazing food! Have been many times and don’t plan to stop!
Saba's has amazing customer service and delicious food. I had a group coming to Houston and their flight was delayed. They were very understanding and delivered the food for me. They were super easy to deal with. 10/10 would recommend.
Delicious food and everything was prepared so well! We had the salmon tacos and they were great! Can't wait to return next time we're in Houston!!
Great selection kosher entrées. Shish kabob beef with grilled veggies and broccoli
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unforgettable Flavors! Best Ribeye Skewer Pita Ever! I just had the ribeye skewer pita with French fries at Saba’s Grill & Wok, and WOW—I’m still thinking about how delicious it was! The ribeye was incredibly juicy and tender, perfectly grilled, and packed with amazing flavor. The pita was soft and fresh, wrapping everything together beautifully. And let’s talk about the sauces—each one was an absolute game-changer! Every dip, every bite was bursting with next-level taste. The fries were crispy and seasoned just right, making the perfect side to an already incredible meal. If you’re looking for the best combination of flavor, quality, and freshness, this is the place to go. Can’t wait to come back and try more!
Overall pretty good place for Kosher food. My company needed catering from a Kosher establishment and Saba’s prepared really delicious food. The Owner named Natalie was cordial, straightforward, and practical. Place is clean and service is solid. Just be aware that they are not marked as closed during Jewish holidays. Call in advance before making a drive out here if you if you are not sure if they are open or not.
I just started keeping kosher fully, and was interested in seeing if kosher Thai was as good as the treif. This is as good as it gets, ladies and gentlemen! The Pad Thai was quite tasty and as close as you can get to the real thing without the oyster and fish sauce. Both Saba’s locations are excellent and very reasonably priced. We took our food to go, but the place looked nice for dine-in as well. I’ll be back.
Nice selection of grill and Chinese food, with a bit of creative flair. Decent ambiance, is definitely suitable for a low-key business lunch. Food is good, service is mixed
The menu has a great variety, and the food is very tasty. I find that portion sizes aren't uniform, and the wait tends to be a bit long. Nice decor, and the restaurant is clean. Definitely a return customer!
I ordered the Mongolian chicken. The food was delicious, customer service was good as well. The reasoning behind the 4 star was the portion. When I'm paying $15 plus I was expecting more chicken. It could be a one off affair but I received mainly more veggies, a lot more. The szechuan chicken that I ordered for my cousin had way more chicken. A bit pricey overall but if you can afford it then this is your place.
Healthy Asian style and Mediterranean style menu items. Totally kosher. Fresh ingredients. Ver tasty. However, if you want authentic Asian, this is not the place. If you want healthy, this is a great place. Note that kosher does mean good quality meats at a higher price. It also means you won't find any dairy on the menu.
Really nice place! Clean and staff is very friendly. We had the lunch special to go. We got the sesame chicken and sweet/sour chicken. It tasted great! Good portions and we had the fried rice as a side. They offered sweet/sour soup or egg drop. They weren’t my favorite but my fiancé liked them. The egg roles were big and delicious. Our meal was hot when we picked it up. We will be back for the lunch special to try other dishes!
Would prefer if the owner has a policy about picking up after yourself!! Some customers need to learn manners, loved the food and very yummy, customer service is on point:)!
My parties meals were not as good as mine. My Birria tacos were extremely good. Good amount of pulled beef in there. Prices high, beware of the Chinese section of the menu u might not get good results.
I was working Postmates on an order and after waiting I was informed that they didn't have one of the items that I had already ordered and paid for. It caused a problem. I would definitely not go here with my family.
An eclectic selection of Mediterranean and Chinese-American favorites. The shawarma pita is excellent. Order a side of fries, because the half-dozen that come with the sandwich will leave you wishing you had.
We ordered wings and a chicken burger they were not above average, prices were above average. Overall it wasn't worth it. Everything they serve is kosher and their fountain water was really good, these were the pros.
I *really* wanted to like this place, because Lord knows there's a dearth of eateries in Meyerland. But $24 for an appetizer and a wrap seems a bit much, and it took nearly 20 minutes to get my order. Got home with my food, and was seriously underwhelmed: the chicken in the wrap was dry, the wrap itself had way too much red onion, and the carrots/cucumbers in the salad were dried out around the edges. I know this is a new place, and they're still working out kinks, so I won't write them off yet. But the first impression was not favorable.
We got 2 meals to go for dinner and then drove 12 miles home. When we heated it up, my husband found that his Sweet & Sour chicken did not come with sweet & sour sauce! He ate half of it anyway and didn’t enjoy it. After, he called the restaurant to tell them and all they offered is a $3 refund which we were supposed to get on my credit card and never got. Then we drove the 12 miles back the next day to get the sweet and sour sauce so my husband was able to enjoy what was left of the chicken. This was our 2nd experience there with bad service.
I’ve eaten here plenty of times and I have always enjoyed the food, customer service, and atmosphere. Tonight, I was waiting in line (around 8 pm) and the young man taking orders clearly ignored me and attended to everyone else. I was so upset that I turned around around left in disgust because I did not want to cause a scene. I will return and support their establishment but I will bring it to management’s attention the next time I return. Otherwise, this is some of the healthiest and freshest food you’ll find in this area.
First time trying this neighborhood grill. The burgers look pretty good, but I decided to try the Chinese lunch special. The hot and sour soup after two spoonfuls was way too salty for me. The chicken with broccoli was okay, but nothing above a 2 out of 5. The egg roll however was chunky and delicious. Sauce was good. I might give this place another try.
I go around reviewing restaurants & eateries worldwide.... the main purpose obviously is to educate other foodies. Saba's Grill & Wok was unfortunately disappointing. For it to be reviewed at the level it is I was not impressed. It gets a 3/5 stars specifically because of taste to value. Overall the establishment is small and intimate so that's a plus. Menu choices are more than enough to choose from so that's good. Menu was diverse as well. I chose the Avocado Chicken Wrap. $20! I obviously came in to review so the cost did not matter because I have a duty to review. The plate came out and the initial amount of fries was an amount for a toddler child. I asked what is this and the waiter said that's the plate. I told him I'd have to buy a side of fries. The side of fries came out in an adult portion. This is disappointing specially because fries are universally cheap. Why skimp on this side and risk disappointing return or new customers. All in all the meal with not drink (I had water) was $27. $27 is a meal price that I've had at real restaurants where you get plate food that is fully cooked. I would not recommend at their prices & gave them a 3/5 stars ⭐️ out of generosity. On to the next #BonVivant
The food is pricey and it took way too long to get my order. 30 minutes. All I ordered was a salad and an appetizer
Food is ok but the portions are not sized for the price you pay. It is very expensive and I would expect to at least get a large plate. There are also no modern sauces like garlic mayo, spicy mayo, sweet chilli. This place has potential but there skimping out on there customers.
Wanted to try this out because of the close proximity and good reviews. The food was way over priced, at about $20 per person. It took about 20 minutes to delivery to the table, and when it got there, it was cold. Quality was fair, nothing to brag about. It might have been better if it was even slightly warm. The one thing that bothered me was the bus staff. While waiting for our food, we watched the staff clean the tables by first wiping off the seats, and then the tables....YUK. Sorry, but I don't see me ever going back. Other peoples butts that are wiped on my table will do it every time.
Over salted and overpriced. The pargiot (young chicken) and pita were delicious but the shawarma and grilled veggies were too salty. Also all of the grill plates should automatically come with hummus which is not the case.
Just based on the sesame chicken lunch special that was $15, was not impressed, too much breading chicken was tiny strips almost couldn’t see the chicken, sauce was ok, also not a fan of corn and carrots in the egg drop soup, we are from ny so that’s what I am comparing to but I have had kosher Chinese in at least 10 different cities, favorite was in DC, and Shanghai that unfortunately closed in Brooklyn
They got my order wrong. Even after it was written on the receipt. Despite that the food was below average especially for the ridiculous prices and small portions. The wok food tastes similar to mall food but with less quantity. Very disappointing.
The absolute worse $20 dollars worth of presented noodles I ever ate. Wish there was a Chinese guy blocking the door screaming "don't do it". Guy at register is all "about the turn and burn" and if your seeking good customer service! THIS IS MOT YOUR PLACE!
I have ordered from this restaurant several times by phone or in person. They are always short, gruff, and seem irritated that I'm even trying to engage with them. So I started using Door Dash to shorten my personal interactions with them. Both times ended badly. The first time I ordered I went to the restaurant and it was closed, though the sign said it was normal business hours. The second time they told me they don't use Door Dash at all! They never received my order. They walked away as I was about to give them my order verbally in person. I waited several minutes for them to return to the cash register to take my to go order and they reiterated they don't use Door Dash. I asked, so you're not going to accept my order right now? I will wait. And they just stared at me as if they didn't know what I was talking about. I'm done with this place.
I really wanted to like this place but it fell short in so many areas. The food, for one, was very under seasoned. It seemed as if everything was missing salt. The meat was dry. We ordered orange sesame chicken, which was okay but nothing spectacular. We also ordered a grilled burger, which came out over cooked and dry even after we asked for it to be cooked medium. When we complained about it, the cashier simply said that she can't do anything about it because we already took a few bites from it. After some more complaining she agreed to return the burger. It seemed as if she was stereotyping and partially racist, if I'm being completely honest. I'm sure if we were a white table she would have returned it without any hesitation. But anyway, the service is another reason I couldn't like this place. Not to mention the food took forever to come out!
I came to Saba’s Grill with my family a few days ago to try their food for the first time. service and food were great. we ordered a schnitzel plate and a Santa Fe salad, and a few other dishes and I was just walking around the restaurant when I noticed that the guys in the kitchen was making food without any gloves on. We’re definitely coming back but they should be more careful since they have an open kitchen.
NOT RECOMMENDED! Recycled food, Not tasty, Way overpriced to what you pay for and worst of all - Very bad service - We were party of 4 orders 4 plate got one shawarma in pita instead. When we asked to get in plate like we initially ordered - We were refused and were asked for additional on plate one! We have paid for the extra plate and they took the pita back! We paid for 2 items and we got one without getting the refund or the additional food item. When I text the owner about that, He just say "come back and maybe the service will be better next time" Ha! No sir, We will never come back nor recommend this place to anyone we know. There are other kosher and better restaurants in houston to chose from and not far from yours too!
One of the worst. Way overpriced for oily food. Poor quality, huge portions that bright for the amount of fat in the food and the plate. Schnitzel = chicken fingers deep fried and oily. Shawarma is dry but still super oily on the outside. $38 for 2 people. You pay more for the Kosher than for comfort food.
This place is the worst overpriced place I have ever been to not only is their food soggy and terrible but it’s expensive. The servers are absolutely useless. I mean how hard could it be to actually take some food from the counter over to the table in a reasonable and timely fashion without copping an attitude. Just recently I came in 10 minutes before close and they told me that the kitchen was closed and didn’t want to serve me food. I mean think about this I picked Saba to eat at when I could’ve picked any number of restaurants that was going to be my only hot meal of the day and I truly believe that the server took pleasure and telling me that I couldn’t have my dinner there because I came 10 minutes before they closed. The very next day I went to the lunch special where I came into the restaurant 10 minutes early but by the time I got to the counter, I was one minute late and they told me that the lunch special was over and that I needed to kick. Wait, I’m gonna tell you the best part after they denied me the lunch special because I was one minute late (but not really) my buddy ordered an extra order of steamed white rice… but before we were able to get into the truck.. some person I don’t know if it was the owner or the server or just a ****wipe… ran out and demanded $2.98 or was it $1.98 I can’t remember but the fact that someone chased after me for 2 something dollars is pathetic and an indication of exactly what you’re gonna get if you go to Saba’s. Pathetic that’s a great word to describe exactly what you’re going to experience. This place is supposed to be kosher but there is nothing kosher about the way you get treated and the condition of the food your served Sabas = Pathetic..
Avoid this place at all costs. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I was warned by a friend that they’re expensive and average food. We were in a hurry and stopped in for a quick lunch due to lack of options in this area. The service was beyond awful. The cashier was very rude taking our order. The prices are uncomfortably high ($80 for two adults and two small children who split a meal). They messed up our order and refused to fix it until we asked for our money back. They slammed the food on the table in protest. The food was edible but not something I would return for. I have no clue how this place stays in business. Stay away!
The worst restaurant ever. Terrible service - I don't recommend it at all.
I ordered on uber eats a Moroccan merguez pita sandwich with fries. What I received was a hot dog in a pita. I literally just took $20 and threw it in the trash. False advertising and deceiving.
Comically tiny portions in delivery. I ordered from Saba's when visiting Houston a couple of years ago, and the portion sizes were normal. They were also normal when I ate there last year. Just ordered delivery again, and the portions were so small, I'd describe them as being a complete rip-off. A noodles dish was a little cluster of spaghetti surrounded by celery, the scarce amount of dressing for the salad forced me to ration it, and the "large" soup turned out to be a pint 😆 I was told that the regular size is 8 ounces. Who's eating here, little children? With Saba's prices, it's incredible that they're as stingy as they are. They didn't even include napkins or plastic cutlery, despite my specific request for it and the delivery address being a hotel!
