The reviews were mixed but I must say this was a nice lounge. We came for the day party and we enjoyed our visit. Once we were seated the waiter took forever but once our order was placed the food came out quick. Everyone enjoyed the food except me. The lamb chops were delicious but the oxtails weren't good. The drinks here were good tho
Me and some friends stopped here last minute after a birthday dinner and enjoyed our time there. We were able to find a table and was serviced rather quickly. Our waitress was really nice, which is always a plus! I wish I remember her name to refer y’all to her will definitely be back! We got hookah, drinks, and some food to take home. The prices was very reasonable and the food was tasty.
Brunch be on a whole other level🔥🔥🔥 I loved the vibe, service was good!! Bartenders are good, also!! Food was delicious!! And DJ had our table vibing hard the entire time!! Shout out to the DJ🎶🔈
Great atmosphere. Music is good. Friday is a good look. We had a party and Ari was our waitress and she was amazing. Very attentive and friendly. She took care of our guest and was very pleasant. I will definitely request her on our next visit.
The vibe was dope and everyone was having a good time. A true turnup spot on Sunday night.
Seaside , after waiting two hours for a waitress and expressing our concerns to the manager he definitely showed us a great time afterwards! He never knew that we were waiting that long so he definitely apologize for the inconvenience & served us with great service, and drinks . The food I had was really good and their HH for liquor is A-1 !!!! Definitely will be going back despite the minor problem.
Happy hour the best I’ve been to so far in Houston ! Going out in Houston can get get expensive, I spent 100 had 10 Casamigo shots six lamb chops 10 wings and about 4 Modelo‘s ! I’m definitely going back !
This is a must go to for happy hour!! The prices are unbeatable, the decor is really nice. The food & drinks was so on point and the ambience was unmatched. It’s was definitely our type of party! Can’t wait to revisit this spot!
Very nice place with a good atmosphere. Service was very friendly. The food was excellent one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time.
I have experience Brunch here and no wait for table. Food hot and fresh. Love $1 Frozen Margaritas
Nice vibe! You can pretty much hang there all day. Brunch, Dinner, then late night on the rooftop! Good music. Great service, no attitudes. Food- Asian Hennessy Wings 🔥Don’t get there hungry on a weekend thought because you WILL wait a while for your food but it’s worth the wait when it does arrive.
It’s very cozy place to hang out and listen to music. The atmosphere is very calm and a chill place to be. It’s a nice place to take friends and family to enjoy sitting together and smoke hookah. The food is awesome also
Let me say this shout out to the owner for really taking care of us. I don’t remember any names but the experience was awesome. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were properly took care of. We got asked several times did we need any assistance while waiting for the birthday girl. I recommend everybody go there on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays. The DJ was fire. The margaritas was awesome and yes they do have dollar margaritas on Fridays. I can’t wait to return. We look forward to seeing you in December. Thanks to all the staff for making out night awesome
Went on a Saturday for brunch. They were very packed so VIP was the only way to go. Our server was very attentive and on point.. overall AWESOME! The food was very delicious and fairly priced. I got the catfish that came with Mac and cheese and greens. The DJ just topped things off. Highly recommend!
Chill on the Monday through Thursday, goes hard on Friday through Sunday. Great service and company. Went for a quick drink and food stayed longer for the hookah and waitresses! Will be back; Cam and Kay created a great experience there. Also steak, shrimp and lobster were delicious!
got a table for the rooftop sundays the vibes were amazing and had a great server as well but forgot her name. everyone loved their food we got as well. but i do believe their alcohol bottles were watered down or either not don julio they put cheap liquor in it
Lateesch accommodated our large party without a reservation! The service was excellent. Food was delicious and service was fast! All the way from Savannah, GA! We will be back!
This was my first time coming to Seaside and it was no wait for a Saturday brunch which I loved cause we were so hungry. We sat outside because it was a nice day in Houston and our waiter was Amber who consistently checked up on us while we were out there. She got the tvs turned on for us so we could watch some sports and had gave us great menu options to choose from. Amber made the experience truly incredible and I will definitely be back once Lent is over so I can try some of those dollar mimosa and two dollars frozen drinks. But she did keep the water bottles flowing for us. Thanks for such a great time Amber 🫶🏿
Amber was so attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and had great food selections. We didn't ever have to go looking for or asked someone can they find our sister she was on point. Keep the drinks flowing and had great manners. I would definitely be back again because she was bomb...
My first time here and I will definitely be back. Prompt service and the food and drinks were good and reasonable. The parking is a different story. Directly across the street the sign says public parking $4 but the guy was trying to charge $20. The Seaside lounge designated parking was $10 but he tried to charge my friends $15/$20 when they arrived at different times. How do they get away with being so dishonest? Smh My good experience in the restaurant will get me to go back though.
Really nice since they revamped this place. Drinks were good & the chicken wings are unmatched! Loved them, tried them twice & always hot & flavorful. Hookah was cool too, will revisit.
Went here after I arrived in Houston. We got here at 4pm when no one was there since it just opened up. We got drinks, hookah and food. It was a nice little vibe more people started to show up as it got later. Everything was good the food was great, the drinks were strong and the hookah was good. I just wish the food portions were a little bigger for $30 I felt like I had a snack and had to go to canes later, but everything was good.
Loved that they reopened and they definitely have the best wings in Houston. Just hope they are using biodegradable confetti as it is an outdoor venue.
I enjoyed this place very much. My friends and I watched NBA game 4 here on wing night Wednesday. The music was awesome. The only reason that I am giving 4 stars is because the bartender was somewhat rude. She put a lime in my Shirley Temple when I specifically told her I hate limes. Also, she put my food sloppily in a to go box when I informed her that I would be eating with my friends. The food was good though. My friends had better and fresher food. Mine was just O.K.
Taco Tuesdays. Tacos are $1 all night. Other than that, they have the best watered down premium liquor you can find along I45...and no drink menu. How are you a bar with NO drink menu? Well, a Whiskey sidecar was $21 , a watered down Crown on the rocks was $10 and a Crown no ice that was literally a swallow at the bottom of the glaas was also $10 LOL. So not sure if they are just stingy on Tuesdays or if this is an everday occurrence. Ask for drink prices before ordering to keep from catching a case, lol. Seaside, you need a drink menu! NOTE: 20% gratuity is already included in your total bill when they hand you the reader to pay. They don't show you your bill, just the total amount with option to tip AGAIN which is why it only has 7%, 8% and 10% tip amounts. They will run down everything they added on your bill but will NOT volunteer that a 20% gratuity is tacked on too. Ask to see your bill! Waitresses are extremely nice and considerate. If you haven't been since they renovated it may be worth it to get reacquainted. The outside seating area and rooftop is spacious with plenty room for groups to enjoy themselves. The DJ keeps the best rachet music in rotation and u hear it no matter where you sit. They have heat lamps for cooler nights. FOOD & DRINK: $1 regular tacos, $3 birrias and the oxtail tacos are all my favs. However, the quality or type of beef seems to change from week to week. Sometimes lean other times fatty. To drink: I get what I call my $5 Holla....a $1 margarita + $1 Mexican candy shot + $1 Blanco shot. Add those 2 shots to your margarita and then get 2 more $1 Blanco shots to throw back and you'll have a $5 holla better than any drink the bartender makes! The frozen Dusse and lemonade ($12) was great my first visit, but weaker every visit afterwards. Overpriced but flavorful. Hookah is $40. Park behind the lounge for $10 or along the street!
😕 Well.. Nice place to vibe out with an urban crowd. Food? Ehh, ... it’s got no soul. 🤷🏽♂️ Destroyed my health for nothin. Seafood YaYa needs a prayer and somebody’s Aunty from New Orleans. Seasoning is KEY. Sauce did not bless the game. A lot of opportunity for growth there. Shrimp needs to be blackened or pan seared. Garlic bread is crunchy and must’ve retired the garlic for the night. Not a very savory option. * Not saying that the cooks are not good at what they do. But, clearly there’s a missing link somewhere in the recipe. They’ll get it right sooner or later. Hopefully. 👍🏽
Cool spot. It's an elevated version of Prospect Park in my opinion. Yummy menu w/lots of options for various taste buds. I had the Nachos w/Chicken. My drink was a little blah but my waitress Necie was sweet. Pros: accessible location w/lots of parking, inexpensive menu, good for groups Cons: women's restroom doors don't lock/shut, bottles are overpriced
The brunch was very good. The seating o disliked I'm assuming they want you to get a section when dining or here period. Otherwise the wait can be pretty crazy but worth it. I didn't enjoy the bartender not telling me about the Sunday drink specials but once I was seated I requested a manand they were able to accommodate
Good atmosphere, attentive staff. The steak as well as the oxtails were enjoyed by the members in my group. The Hookah was another experience that was enjoyed, as for several it was their first time trying it.
Some friends and I went yesterday to celebrate Virgo birthdays. Overall,it was a good experience. Bayla, our server was very friendly and attentive. Upon my entry,I did wait about 15 minutes because this other table was holding her up. I did speak to the guy that was the manager on duty after being there a few moments and asked for a glass for the mimosa tower at our table. Now in my management experience,I would’ve gone to get one for my customer, but he just kept smoking his hookah and advised the server would be over after the other table. Teamwork makes the dream work. Help your team if needed, especially with a request as simple as a glass, especially when all you’re doing is smoking your hookah at the moment. It was not overly crowded. I love the ambiance and the Sunday Brunch specials are amazing!!
The most frustrating part as someone coming from another state is the fact that you can’t seat unless you have a booth which requires a bottle. Other than that good luck finding a table top. The creamy Cajun pasta with shrimp was sooo yummy. Seaside was popping ON A SUNDAY; party wit a view!! The bottle girls don’t stop cause the drink don’t stop coming 💃🏾💃🏾
Despite the very long wait. The food was amazing and the hard drinks were hitting. The mimosa tower not so much, taste like juice. The vibe, music and customer service was great. Since I’m a sugar in my grits kind of girl. My waitress was able to suggest away around the no substitute during brunch..
The Seaside Lounge is a nice establishment. It’s very roomy and there is outside space as well. I wasn’t impressed with their VIP seating area as the seats are very messed up. As time passed, I could understand why. They allow people to sit on the back of the seats and stand/dance on them. Our food came out before we got our bottle and other drinks. Our waitress Maddie was very attentive. The lamb chops were a little charbroiled but good and after I added salt & pepper to the potatoes, they were taste. I'm not a fan of their grits. The watermelon mimosa was very taste. We also enjoyed the Don Julio strawberry and orange mimosas. You can also purchase a Hookia. If you are not into the latest Hip-Hop & Rap music, this is not the place for you.
Overall the vibe is cool. Me and my friends were from out of town and we went for Sunday brunch. The food was good and all the waitresses/bottle girls are so pretty. My waitress was sweet. But the only con I had was the hostess. I got the vibe it was either buy a section or go home. I personally think hostesses are the first person you see and they set the tone of the restaurant. We got the section (5people) but it couldn’t fit all of us. And I said something and she was nonchalant about it….like ma’am people are paying their HARD EARN money. We ended up paying more to fit us comfortably but the hostess that was a short brown girl I didn’t care for her attitude. BUT still next time I’m in Houston I will go back.
A little hood for me and my friends. The servers are wearing short skirts that don't cover their booties, so if you object to seeing women objectified, this is not the place for you. If you are okay with some ratchetness, you'll be fine with the DJ's selections. The $2 lamb chops and $5 Ciroc were great incentives to check the place out.
$20 parking and $20 to get in on a Sunday night. If you are a group of 7 of more, I would suggest paying for a section (in the front where a majority of the party was) as the cost balances with the entrance fee. 3 stars due to the waiter we had not knowing anything at the time that we went and there is an extremely long wait for you food so keep that in mind. Food and the music was definitely worth it though.
Food was decent one waitress for whole restaurant so it was slow service . Very loud inside also
Loved this place. It's cute, Great food and atmosphere. Food btwn $10-30 and drinks vary so It's hard to tell you what to expect to spend. Better to have a section. I rated a 3 ONLY because its insane to have to pay for patking, $20 to get in and then patronage the establishment.
The service was alright—it wasn’t great, but it was fine until the end of the night when I was closing out my tab. Kiara, the server, mistakenly charged me for three drinks instead of the two I actually had. I politely said, “Hey, I think you made a mistake. I only had two drinks—can you please adjust it?” At first, she argued with me for about 30 seconds, insisting I had three drinks. I stood firm and told her again, “No, I only had two.” She finally said, “Okay,” and walked off. Next thing I know, a manager comes over asking what the issue is. I was surprised because I never asked for a manager. I explained it wasn’t that serious—Kiara accidentally charged me for an extra drink, and I just asked her to fix it. I told them it was probably just a miscommunication, but it felt like Kiara was making it bigger than it needed to be by involving management. Then, another manager shows up, and Kiara comes back with them, aggressively arguing with me and insisting I was wrong. At this point, I even showed her the two cups I still had as proof that I only ordered two drinks. Instead of taking a step back, she got louder and started raising her voice. It got to the point where one of the managers had to tell her to stop talking. At the end of the day, the extra drink was removed from my tab, and I only paid for what I actually had. But honestly, this whole situation was unnecessary. Kiara needs to learn how to be more attentive to her tables, double-check tabs before presenting them, and most importantly, how to de-escalate situations instead of escalating them. All this could’ve been avoided if she’d just handled it calmly and professionally. Special thanks to the managers for de-escalating.
Food and music was good, seats at the bar would be great for people like myself that come in solo for a quick bite or for happy hour. Didn’t have a host when I walked in and had to ask a waitress, Other than that it was good vibes.
Music is loud the whole time.. music caters to younger generation. Free admission be for 8pm and you have to pay to park. Food was okay. Crab fried was blah.... but the southwest chicken egg rolls and strawberry lemonade (adult beverage) were two thumbs. Pricey.... 3 items cost $62. Tip is included in the bill. Plenty of photo prop opportunities. Beautiful decor
My Experience, Food is very pricey... Meaning Fish and Fries you get one piece of Fish with look like store brought Fries for $ 16 dollars and some change, The Rosemary Lambs was okay but very small, the Mac and Cheese was Cold didn't look how the picture looks and the Collard Greens taste and look like Store Can brought where they added their on little Seasonings in there to give it a different taste..... I'm a Cook been cooking since 6yrs old and if you know how food should taste and look by growing up with your Elders you know. Put out the Quality for the Price...... I've been to Clubs in 5th Ward as some refer to the HOOD for Example Club 5015 everything comes out HOT and FRESH your Plate is BIG BOY HEAVY and the Price is on Point for the amount of Food you get and your gonna have some to take Home as well.......... I understand you all are in the Downtown area but the Downtown area isn't what it used to be either.......... Paying isn't a PROBLEM but Give Out a Decent Portion for what Your Charging...........
While I did enjoy myself, it was mind boggling that patrons were not able to use the ONE bathroom on the property as the event was ending. Security was being selective on who could and couldn’t use the bathroom. I offer the solution of adding additional facilities, particularly on the roof because there are SO many steps and I didn’t see an alternative of getting up and down.
Overall good experience for a Saturday night out, especially since they don’t charge for entrance! Definitely a place that it helps to have a table at, otherwise there’s very little standing room, all outside. Prices are fair at about $12 a drink (including auto-gratuity), music is fantastic and DJ is fun. The bartenders were great, but most of the bottle girls looked like they’d rather be anywhere else but there. Additionally, and most importantly, they close access to bathrooms before 1:30 am when the establishment doesn’t even close till 2! This is absolutely unacceptable and management should change this.
The food was amazing but it didn't outweigh the experience we had. We were told 3 different prices for the sections, our drinks came out after our food, we sat there for 30mins before someone ever even brought us water. It wasn't that they were understaffed, everyone was on their phone and doing other things other than taking care of the customer and they weren't even that busy. I would hate to see what it's like at night. Also, if you pay for a section, you have to pay for 2 bottles.
Food was delicious but horrible customer service. We arrived on a Wednesday and was under the impression based on their social media advertisements that we would be able to enjoy their specials, when in fact the waitress nor the manager knew what we were referring to. It’s other nice spots to enjoy in Houston - don’t get mislead by this establishment. Cheers to chef though - our food was very good but our vibe was thrown off by the false advertisement.
The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the food was good. I brought a friend from out of town because I saw so many great things online. Our expectations were not met. We went for brunch around 1 o’clock on a Saturday. It was busy so it didn’t bother us too much that it took 20 minutes to seat us. The music was extremely too loud we could barely hear each other again that wasn’t too bad. Our waitress charged my friend gratuity on her card twice. So another waitress “refunded her card” and charged it again for the “correct” amount. We both noticed on Monday that we were double charged. Both of us! What are the odds of that. The number online is to the web developer. He just casually stated, people normally just dispute it. Absolutely NOT OK! I feel as if they are only catering to one audience and that audience doesn’t pay as much attention to there card balances which is sad! The food was very good and the atmosphere was fun but how unprofessional of an establishment to over charge people and not have a phone number to reach someone within the restaurant! I was so embarrassed. I saw someone say earlier, if you insist on going here, pay cash!
Hello, my name is Faith. I’m visiting Houston, TX to celebrate a friends birthday. We came to Seaside Lounge after seeing reviews raving about your customer service and food. We decided to come in for that experience we read about in reviews. However, our experience has been opposite of what we read about. We have been waiting since 2:30pm for a table which was suppose to be a 30 minute wait. We were caught in the rain with no where to sit. I hope I do not get a cold. No one is wearing mask. I am upset because the host in the front and the bartenders are amazing. But waiting this long is unacceptable. Not to mention there is no where to sit and wait. I’m dissatisfied and disappointed with my experience. And I will be posting a review on google and contact the better business bureau. I am only giving 2 stars because the bartender was amazing and fast. Will not be recommending to other tourist like myself
It takes forever to get a server to the table, ordered the catfish and grits and the grits were olddddddd!, lumpy, and cold. Maybe I didn’t read the menu thoroughly but eggs with catfish and grits 🥴😒. They take your form of payment/ ID and disappear (not trust worthy). Hookah is paid thru cashapp 🤔
Overall okay experience over hyped. Food either had too much salt or pepper. Server is not attentive went too long with our seeing her. Grits were cold and the consistency was off. The breakfast potatoes are good. Mimosas was cool.
I made a reservation online for 11:30 but when we arrive we were told they did not have our reservation but they can give us a table. The restaurant look like a ghost town there was only two other tables with patrons. Let me state that the establishment opened at 11am. So they were not open that long. My party set at a table that was accomadating for our size but we were told we had to move because they had a reservation for the table. The waitress set us at the table right next to it. The restaurant did not start getting other tables until about 12: 30pm. At 2:00pm when we left the restaurant still was not up to half capacity. The table that she told us that they had a reservation did not get seated until a 1:50pm with a party of 2. 10 minutes prior to us leaving. We had a party of 10. It was explained to us that we had to spend atleast $300. I had ladies in my party that had to eat with there plate in there laps. If they had a reservation I guess it was for 2pm. Management could have said we have a reservation for 2pm. we can seat you but you will have to be off the table by 2 or they could have set us at anyone of the other empty tables versus letting guess eat with there food in there lap. The website says that there is free parking and plenty of it. But we had to pay for parking. Ladies with your heels on watch your step once you pass security to walk into the establishment there is a hold that needs to be fixed. The atmosphere was nice and there are plenty of places to take nice pictures. We had 3 people who order chicken and waffle. The menu says 3 whole wings and waffles but when our plates arrived to the table there were only 2 wings. I went to the waitress and she said that it should be pieces. So I went back to the table grabbed my phone and pulled up there menu that the waitress had us scan to show her. There kitchen expedited told me that she knew they only had two pieces. I was a little baffled because if you knew why would you send them to the table without the proper amount. Ok the expeditor is the person who checks the plates before they go to the server. Making sure they are pleasing to the eyes and to make sure that they have everything that was ordered. They did correct and give us the other 3 wings. My ladies and myself enjoyed the food and the portion sizes. But a manager never came to check on our table nor to say thank you for patronizing there establishment. The waitress was not friendly and did not seem to care that we had people eating out of there lap because they could not put there plate on the table. They are quick to put a higher tip on a party of 10 or more but the service should reflect that. Overall the experience at this restaurant was not a good one. I guess Customer Service is dead
I booked a Friday night birthday section option, in which they advertised a free section, bottle, & a cake if you buy a bottle. I communicated via text & got an text confirming my reservation in advance on Wednesday because I was told they needed to order the cake in advance. When we got there it was empty, they told me there was no cake ordered and I had to push to even get the free bottle by showing the actual texts & proff of reservation. The hookah guy was wasted drunk and kept touching on & flirting with everyone in my section and even took our hookah we paid $45 for when i threatened to call security on him. We had to get management involved to get our hookah back and to get him out of our section bothering us. Then once we waited & finally got the hookah back, a few minutes later we were told they were closing early at 12:30 am instead of 2 am because it was slow. So barely 2 hrs in, did not get to enjoy the hookah, paid $280 for a bottle plus food only to get kicked out at 12:30 am. Bottle girls were cool, food & music decent, but the rest was a mess. Seaside ruined my birthday celebration that night and I do not recommend them for special occasions.
This was HORRID! My friends and I came and I was baffled at the disrespect and lies of this establishment. I came and ordered a bottle that’ was 150 and when I asked to order a hookah for 20$ on the same flyer they told me it was 40. Not to mention I waited outside a rude waitresses passed me and told me I couldn’t come inside. This place is unorganized and raggedy don’t come here!
Probably a decent nightclub but terrible place to eat or relax after work. Got there at 6:30 to eat dinner and relax on a weekday. The waitresses and bartenders weren't ready. After they were ready, getting a beer was tough, even when the ladies were standing around. I was one of probably 4 customers in the building. I tried the surf and turf, ordered medium and asked for mash potatoes. I only got half a lobster tail which is weird. And the steak came out well done. They also goofed and gave me 2 orders of mashed potatoes and charged me for both. After I decided to close out, which was also a long wait, they overcharged me almost double the menu prices for the two beers and the dinner. As others have stated, they just make up the prices as they are going or maybe it's a scam being run by the help, but either way, I just paid the outlandish price and left. For that quality of food, it definitely was not worth even close to the price I ended up paying which is more like that of a high end steak house, but without the high quality food or service. But they will charge you more than the prices on the menu. Total scam.
Really was looking forward to trying this place out. I was disappointed because the waitress was rude as hell and I waited for an hour to order my food just for her to tell me that they are out of what I wanted. If I had 4 thumbs I would give them 4 thumbs down!!!!!!!!!
I was driving home late at night when I witnessed something deeply disturbing outside this nightclub. A massive bouncer was aggressively pushing a young woman to the ground. She wasn’t drunk, nor was she combative—just a petite woman, maybe 5’4” and 140 lbs, surrounded by her friends who were pleading for her safety. Concerned, I pulled over and asked if they needed help. One of them, clearly shaken, told me she was calling the police. These young women were from out of state, completely sober, and incredibly polite. They explained that they had unknowingly wandered into the club, sat down, and were then forcefully ejected without any warning. The bouncer never told them the club was closed—yet instead of a simple explanation, they were met with unnecessary aggression. This kind of behavior is unacceptable. I strongly urge women, especially those unfamiliar with the area, to steer clear of this establishment. What I saw was not just unprofessional—it was dangerous.
Couldn’t find manager so I’ll post here! Waitress attitude was TERRIBLE, she was very rude!! She told us that she not fin keep going back n forth cus someone card was locked at the time of purchasing a bottle. Thats very rude to say when THAT IS YOUR JOB. 3 of the ppl in the section ordered drinks and did not get them until closing time. Food is great, but service was 0/10. Very nasty attitude ! And be gone a very long long time .
I booked a section for 12 people this past Sunday, and it was surprisingly slow with only a couple of other tables. Unfortunately, Seaside has a pattern of advertising specials that aren’t honored upon arrival. I had paid for a section, expecting a mimosa tower to be included, but it wasn’t. The advertised BOGO bottles also weren’t available. The manager’s demeanor was disappointing; he didn’t treat us like paying customers. In fact, the waitress apologized for his behavior, which was unprofessional, sassy, and impatient. He wasn’t even present for the first hour of our reservation, and nobody could tell us where he was. The core issue wasn't just the false advertising or poor treatment—it was that our group of 15 ended up leaving early. It’s frustrating when a business doesn’t honor its own promotions or provide decent service. I’ve always enjoyed Seaside and visited regularly, but after this experience, I won’t be returning. While our waitress, Allison, was kind, she was uninformed and couldn’t help us with the issues we faced. Seaside isn’t the same place it used to be. I went to The Address with my party and had a fantastic birthday experience.
One of the staff told my sisters husband he can’t ask the bottle girl anything although she was our host. Trying to intimidate him. Ultimately looking like a clown. We don’t like messy unprofessional situations. Especially if the staff is sleeping with one another. Then kept harassing us about a section when we paid for a section but it could not fit all of our people and we bought bottles . Like no thanks sea side
I will not be back. We came for happy hour. The bang bang shrimp had WAY too much breading. We ordered the Mac and cheese balls but after 35 minutes of waiting we were told "they ran out". We were 1 of 2 tables in the entire establishment at 7pm on Friday after Thanksgiving. I call BS. It was never prepped in the first place. Empty plates and cups sat on the table and never cleared up until we left.
You have people waiting for 46 mins after you make a reservation. Then you seat us and tell us it’s a 2 hour wait for food!!! How are yall still in business? This is unacceptable! Black people you have to do better. I do not recommend will never go back
They stole our purse. The manager said did not have code to check camera. Lots of cameras. All of Geminis came out to celebrate our birthdays. Never, ever, coming back. Waitress Kierra was awesome!!!
This place is terrible. The service is trash. After 50 minutes of watching waiters walk past my table like I didn't exist, I asked the manager for help and he mocked me and did nothing. If I hadn't already paid for my food I would've have left. Never come here to eat. Also, it is not black owned. The manager on the right (the nonblack guy) in the attached photo is the one who mocked me and offered no help. I will never come back to this place. Also, parking is $20 and they be breaking in car windows around here. The pasta was also nasty.
Well I hope you not hungry if you go to this place. I ordered this snack togo.. for 1 the prices are different from online. Plus they charged me gratuity for togo 👀🤔. 2 tried to charge me just to get in to get my food.🙆🏽♀️. 3 ordered online through door dash after waiting an hour I went up there only to find out they don't offer it on the weekend. So that's weird. And $30 for this is just so ridiculous its almost hilarious. Basically this is not a good place to eat. The food was good but I couldn't enjoy it because after every bite i knew i was still going to be hungry and I am a person that doesn't eat a lot and always has food left but I'm currently at another restaurant ordering more food as I'm leaving this review. I mean two oxtails and 3 asparagus like I have never 🤦🏽♀️. And I will never eat here again. I have been here to party and have never really had an issue but probably won't come back. I have had better for less.
I booked a table at Seaside Lounge for my birthday, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. When I arrived, my name wasn’t even on the list. I had to show proof multiple times and still waited over 20 minutes just to be seated. The waitress took my card and ID to purchase a required bottle, only to tell us 30 minutes later that the Grey Goose listed on the menu wasn’t available. It took over 45 minutes just to place an order. Meanwhile, most of the staff seemed more focused on the crowd upstairs than on our table. What was supposed to be a special night turned into a frustrating mess. Poor organization, slow service, and lack of communication ruined what should’ve been a great birthday celebration. I don’t plan on returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a smooth or enjoyable night out.
They had a flyer with $2 margaritas but when we got there the waitress said the flyer was inaccurate and that they didn’t have it nor would they honor it. Then the margaritas that they were selling was in about 5 ounces for $5!! Then the waitress didn’t know what they sold nor what was all on the menu.. then everything that was on the menu she found they didn’t have everything that was on there. Once we finally found what we wanted to eat there was a fly in it!! Would not recommend!! My first visit to Houston and this restaurant did NOT meet standards!! Oh and not to mention when asked for a manager the waitress said he was coming then 30 minutes later she come back and say he wasn’t coming. The lounge couches are ran down with burnt holes in them.. avoid this place 🗣
Service is super weak!!! 50% of my order was ice cold. Never received the rest of our orders. The other waitresses were even telling on each other for not taking care of their own sections Other rented booths were complaining the same thing that our waitress barely came back to check on her sections in a timely fashion. We are talking about 30+ min waits until a whole other person came to take her orders. Then she came back short like we the customers were in the wrong. Just frowning and dry facing. No smiles no good customer service. Came back twice to ask what we ordered. Please use notepads in the future. Booth was $100 does not go towards any orders $10 for parking Got some good pics though See my catfish upside down 😁
The food was delicious. Be aware that they do not offer courtesy glasses of water, however 16oz bottles of Ozarka are available for $6.15 per bottle. Unmarked free parking is available across the street, however parking on the side of the building is available from Abdul for $5 cash rather you’ve already paid the paybox or not. Oh and if you have a party of 4 or more prepare to be squished in a booth for 4, as they do not make alternate accommodations for parties any larger than 4 people. There is a 2hour dining maximum. If you don’t scarf your food down and finish socializing within 2 hours feel free to take your party to the sidewalk. Also, they pass along the cost of doing business credit card service fees to the customer. CC service charge $2.05. Seaside Lounge is a no for me, I won’t be back.
Terrible service and completely overpriced for no reason. The vibe and atmosphere were disappointing, and the DJ seriously needs to be replaced. The place felt sketchy overall. Parking was $20 during the day, which is excessive. Also, gratuity is already included, but they don’t make that clear — something customers should definitely be aware of. Avoid the mimosa tower at all costs. It’s overpriced and doesn’t even include champagne. When I asked how much it would cost to add a bottle, I was told $130, which is completely unrealistic. The food was just okay — nothing impressive. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. I won’t be coming back.Terrible service and completely overpriced for no reason. Bait & Switch Pricing Ruined a Milestone Celebration I am beyond disappointed with my experience at Seaside Lounge this past Saturday for my spouse’s 40th birthday celebration. Two weeks prior, I booked two floor-level sections. I was clearly told the sections were $100 each with a one-bottle minimum per section, and bottles were $150 each. At no point was I told pricing would change based on arrival time. No mention of rooftop placement. No mention of a two-bottle minimum. When we arrived, we were moved to the rooftop and suddenly told it required a two-bottle minimum. After speaking with the manager, he agreed to honor the one-bottle minimum per section — but then informed us that because we did not arrive before 11:30 PM (a rule that was NEVER disclosed), the bottles would now be $250 each instead of $150. So let’s do the math: $250 + $250 = $500. We were charged $641 for two bottles. Even with tax and gratuity, that number deserves a clear breakdown. Instead, we were met with attitude and pressure — including being told we may need to give up one of our sections after already paying. To make matters worse, we were told to merge our 20+ guests into one section because we were “just sitting.” We paid for TWO sections. Being asked to consolidate during a milestone birthday celebration — in front of our guests — was embarrassing and unprofessional. It felt like: • A complete bait and switch • Undisclosed policies • Inflated pricing • Poor communication • Zero accountability The only bright spot of the night was our waitress — she was amazing. Attentive, professional, and the only person who made us feel valued as guests. She deserves recognition because she truly did her job well despite the chaos around her. Unfortunately, strong service from one employee does not make up for poor management and misleading pricing practices. This was supposed to be a special celebration. Instead, it turned into unnecessary stress and frustration. I would not recommend this venue for milestone events. Edit: ALSO, one of my guest paid $50 for the photos from the photographer and never received the text link as promised. Never again! Text message thread available when booking.
I drove almost a hour away to catch happy hour food just to get there at least a hour before the happy hour they promoted ended and they told us that they ran out of the wings for happy hour but was still selling wings but on the regular menu so I tried to order the other happy hour food and was told the was out of that as well we ask the manager what’s going on he said they sold the happy hour qouter but the club was damn near empty so it was b.s and it still wasn’t 9pm yet so that’s bad business all around the board and false promotion when you see a flyer just know there subject to not honor what they promote
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I wish I could give 0 stars. Do not waste your money. We traveled 4 hours for my cousins birthday weekend and went to several other venues and had a great time. We chose seaside to bring her actual birthday in and they ruined it. We booked a section ahead of time through their instagram with a lady named jasmine. We were also sent a flyer that the bottles were $200. When we got there they did not want to give us the section we paid for because the previous guests did not want to leave although we were told to arrive around 10:30pm. We changed sections a couple of times and finally settled on one. No server ever came so after about an hour of waiting we asked a few servers to grab our server and still no one came. One girl finally decided to help us and we were told the bottles were twice as much as the flier advertised. An unexpected expense… okay cool we were prepared to pay it. While waiting We were then forced to Grab all of our things and move to another section. At this point it was already late and our moods were off so we requested a refund for our section which one of the managers or promoters insisted that he would comp our bottle for the inconvenience but after 30 minutes he never returned. We again had to hunt someone down to receive our refund not including what we paid for valet parking. A very embarrassing experience for all parties involved and I will be sure to tell all my followers not to spend their hard earned money with the thieves and scammers. Eeeyuck!!
Ugh this place had us sitting for an hour, it wasn’t even busy. We also paid one of the little minions walking around and she was no where to found. I don’t recommend lol. Dallas is better THEY WILL PLAY IN YO FACE! Will be leaving the worse review on all platforms.
I visited this place Thursday, January 15, 2026 at approximately 11:00pm since it was close to the hotel that I'm staying at. I loved that arrived pretty close to their closing time and were still able to order food (takeout only though). I ordered their lamp chops; which was 4 lollipops and two sides for $35. I had a Moscow Mule while I waited for my food bringing my order total to $61.55. Gratuity was automatically included; so be advised of that. There are several ways to have them prepared. I had mine jerked with their mac and cheese and candied yams as my sides. The candies yams were candied yams. Far from tart or butter but not overly sweet either. The mac and cheese had something unique going on. There was a smokiness; almost jerk flavor to it. I enjoyed it with the jerk lamp chops but not something I would come and order standalone. Now being from out of town; be advised that locating the entrance to this place was odd. The rear and the front both look like plausible entrances. Once I found the entrance; it was packed with a bunch of black people just congregating and socializing. Ironically; this was the "security". What added to the irony is that when I asked "is this the entrance" no one responded. Just a relatively young light skinned black male dressed in all black with dreadlocks waving/signaling me to come towards him and then to turn around (again; no words spoken). Once he was done patting me down; I stood there like a deer in headlights. So I asked "where do you go"; this same "security guard" finally spoke saying; "you can go to the back". Now envision where I was standing was dark, poorly lit, no people and to the back was only stairs to an empty rooftop and what appeared to be an empty bar space and to my right was another door to a different side that was lit (which happened to be where the actual service was). So without much instruction I just walked back and went into the door on the right where the only signs of life were. Walking in I was greeted by no one. Just a DJ booth with the DJ in there and later to find out two "waitresses" entertaining him. So I asked the DJ; "do you just seat yourself" and one of the young ladies responded "yeah". As I sat there waiting on my order; the DJ complained to the "security guard" I encountered earlier about finding a new spot for Thursday as he's been there a year and the crowd has drastically fallen off. So what I realized is why the gratuity, even for a party of one, is automatically included. The customer service sucks. Left up to me personally; I would t have tipped anything on a takeout order and poor service. The food is good. But not automatic gratuity good and not revisit or recommend good. Be advised: They rent out hookahs. The place smelled more like weed than anything.
We were in town for our friends birthday last week and this was the last place we went on our last day. As servers where we live we are most certainly overly understanding of service lacking when busy but the service was NON EXISTENT!! We went early around 830p and they were beyond slow which is to be expected. It’s early. No big deal. They said the upstairs rooftop was sold out so we got a section on the lower patio. 200 section fee plus a bottle. 200.00 did not even go towards the bottle. It was literally to sit. So 589.00 later we brought out bottle which did come pretty quick with all mixers. Our waitress (Sydney) took our order, dropped off our bottle, & literally NEVER returned. Our hookah coals were only refilled once so it just died out. We asked another server who was moving all the sections around us upstairs to please have our server come to our table. Still never came. Walked inside to the bar to ask the bartender if they could send Sydney to our table and her response was “she’s probably busy upstairs” and walked away. We went upstairs ourselves and it was PACKED but you don’t forget about your guest downstairs. Paying guests at that. Moving on to the DJ. GET A NEW ONE IMMEDIATELY!! We went so many places in Houston (peachez, privacy, forget me not, doves, daiquiri land etc) and the absolute best time, best service, and best music. You could never pay me to revisit this place again
Kool spot but they added extra items to my bill all because the waitress wasn't paying attention when my bill should have been 45 dollars but i came to me for 102. Knowing i didn’t order all that food. Very disappointing very unprofessional. Why would I mix clear liquor with dark liquor? Why would I order three entrées? And then they dont fix it and just want you to order to get up to the bill limit. Not upset about the 100 dollars im upset of the distrust and deceiving tactics that they gave to me.
We traveled from Alabama to Texas for a bachelorette trip and reserved a booth in advance for $200. We were informed via text that there was a 3-bottle minimum for the section. Upon arrival, we were not greeted for approximately 15–20 minutes. I had to flag down our waitress, Kee/Spain, to place our order. She took our food order with noticeable attitude. Our food was brought out by someone else, and we had to request silverware since several of us were unable to eat without it. Despite multiple requests, it took another follow-up to finally receive it. At around 11 PM, the waitress approached us to ask if we were ready to order our bottles. By that point, we had less than an hour until closing, and we explained that ordering and consuming 3 bottles in such a short time wasn’t reasonable. She then claimed the minimum was actually 4 bottles, contradicting the previous communication. When we asked to speak with a manager, she responded rudely with, “Do y’all want the bottles or not?” and stormed off without another word. Shortly after, security/constable came and told us we had to leave—even though we had paid for food, hookah, and the booth reservation. The constable was very respectful and polite but doing as instructed. A person who identified himself as the owner (who was sitting in a section of his own) came over and initially said we could stay. However, once the waitress returned, he changed his stance and asked to see proof of the 3-bottle minimum. We showed him the text confirmation, but he still insisted we leave and informed us that we would not receive a refund. The overall customer service was extremely disappointing. We visited many other establishments in Houston (Trill on Wheels, The Locker Room, Karma, Forget Me Not, Savoy, Kamp) during our trip, all of which were professional, kind, and attentive—unlike the experience we had here. I absolutely do not recommend.
